what if it was an act of desperation?

henry can be impatient at times + he's been to prison before already so

he clearly wasn't thinking when he tackled grigori and so he just went with what instinct told him to do and escaped

even when the truck was hanging over the cliff he was looking at dmitri n crew like "oh shit" and that was when he actually got a chance to think abt his actions

he didn't care, he still didn't give in- this could (keyword COULD) signal desperation

looking at the markings in henry's etp prison cell, he had been there for 32-33 or so days, unless those were left by a previous prisoner

I'm not sure what this could mean in reference to why he was desperate in pd. either the prison cell was his version of a rubber room with rats or smthn happened post-btb pre-etp that scared him. or maybe he's claustrophobic. or maybe he just rlly hates prison! (the last option is most likely if we look at it from canon lol. I'd hate it too)

but if we look at the endings (vh, t4l, lne, ssr), this could show more of why he was possibly desperate, although it rlly only applies to vh and t4l (or maybe he just rlly liked his tank/ruby/whatever as well?)

in vh, if he was desperate, he prolly wanted to get back to the military, particularly charles. it was shown the two work together well and like each other a lot, and henry cares abt charles esp considering his reaction to his death at the end

in t4l, if he was desperate, chances are he wanted to do smthn to protect his clan. I mean he quite literally went to the government base to stop the raid from happening, which definitely shows that he wants to protect them

I don't have explanations for lne and ssr you'll have to interpret those however you wish JFKDJFJDJF I think he just went silly mode perhaps

DAY 1

Once again, I woke up in this strange place. I am alone. I am hungry. I am cold and scared. The dust makes me sneeze and I don’t think that I would have survived one more day.

Happily [Fortunately ?], some nice people found me ! Among them, there are 5 French : Baghera Jones, Etoiles, Aypierre, Antoine Daniel and Kameto. I don’t really know why, but I’m able to understand and to speak the same language as them. It seems like I am also able to speak English. I heard some people speaking other languages, I would really like to learn those [languages] to be able to communicate with them !

They fed me and constructed a shelter, I am so happy that I’m not locked up there anymore.

DAY 2

Papa Etoiles took me to visit a museum ! He told me that it was his job. He taught me different art movements. I love museums ! I would really like to become an artist myself !

I also met Richas, who gave me sublime wings ! :D

DAY 3

Maman Baghera came to take care of me today ! We made a lot of drawings together. We hung them in the house. What’s more [?], it’s bigger and decorated ! I feel a lot better in it, and I find it really pretty. I even have cookies ! :D

DAY 4

Today, I made my own gallery of art with Maman Baghera and Papa Antoine ! I am so happy to spend time with them. They are so nice to me.

I also learned that my fellow eggs can die... I will never be able to meet Bobby or Tilin. Tallulah gave me a flower when I met her, it really comforted me. Maybe I could give flowers to Jaiden to comfort her too? I would really like to bring flowers to the tomb of Tilin.

I’m very scared of dying too...

from what i could get it's a lot of her being very happy with her parents, and being concerned about the death of her siblings. she wanted to give jaiden a flower, because when tallulah gave her a flower it brought her comfort (i think). she's also scared to die as well.

hmmm, after seeing these rumours (I'm choosing to disregard those rumours about 7&8, they seem a little absurd) about a potential carriage scene pt2, I remembered some filming leaks about a potential stunt double for LN on a horse that was theorized to be his big return in episode 1, but now I'm thinking it might be Colin chasing down Pen's hack for the LW reveal!! Or the stunt guy lied about who he was a double for lol. Or that was a planned sequence that got cut for whatever reason?

idk what's going on anymore, the polin brainrot is real- so I think the responsible thing to do is to simply walk into the ocean until pt 2 drop day o7

i feel like there's been a few cut scenes so it very well could be something they cut but i also feel like i heard luke newton say something about a horse. not being on one or i don't know tbh, they started showing polin kissing and and i let go of all info held in my head before that moment.

so, here's the thing about the 7 & 8 nonsense that i know. it looks like a mix of 3-4 different things. none of which have any proof to be what people have assumed.

there was a twitter thread of someone saying they thought this new ambrosia character would be a sex worker, added in with that interview that he would go to a brothel after the fight. they also posted or commented on on reddit when the info was found months ago that they thought she'd be a sw. there's nothing to suggest this so far and the only thing we know is she would be opposite of luke. apparently both luke and the guy who plays will follow her on ig.

here's the reddit thread of spec saying that she was actually part of the reshoots under the director for 7 & 8. also the winking, garden party, probably a brothel scene or both, idk, a lot was reshoot for pod person colin apparently.

add in the girl saying she has seen things through someone (this is hotly debated because obviously, i have no idea if she's given any sort of proof yet but it's just her word at the moment) but she doesn't say he cheats, she said people will be mad at him and it takes half an episode for colin to come around, people will be mad at some other bridgertons, and micheal is a girl (also hotly debated because for fran's story would be extremely changed if that was the case and people have said that the actor they're saying is micheal plays a different character (not sophie tho)). i can't say if they're wrong or right because there's no proof to say anything about any of it. grains of salt are needed.

followed by an interview where one sentence made everyone decide that he must do something. listen, i get why the framing of the sentence sounds off. it could be any number of things, a scene reshot later, added later, something totally unrelated, it was about the first half and it was worded badly, etc.

so you know, i know we're all sensitive to stuff but also let's remember how people flipped out with the brothel stuff and how sensationalized it was. they acted like he was going out every night to take part in a threesome. they literally had context for why he was doing it and still managed to be totally wrong in the scenes themselves.

remember how many theories of red flags came out about colin after that info and he was the literal worst only to be met with "demisexual colin is true actually"?

that's just my take on it anyways.

24. Worst writing advice anyone ever gave you?

i have the memory of a snail and nothing has bothered me enough to remember (i take most concrit and stuff with a grain of salt) but i hate the pushing of show not tell. i just think it's detrimental to the growth of a new writer the way it's taught. no one ever goes into the nuances of it, they just go "your readers want detail! don't tell them your character is crying! show them the tears streaming down their face, their skin turning red, them hyperventilating! be descriptive!" and it's like no. sometimes you just need to say a character is crying. not everything needs to be overly described as i think it takes from the beauty of what is described, y'know? prose shouldn't all be poetry. you should have moments of poeticism because that is what'll stick with a reader, not the shade of green the grass was.

so basically my opinion on show and tell is: if it doesn't set the scene, if it doesn't matter to the story, tell it. that's very much oversimplified but i think you get the point.

27. What is your most and least favorite part of writing?

this is kinda loaded for me because it really depends on the day. generally speaking tho i loveeeee a good exposition/scene setting moment. this includes both description (like a room, clothing, etc.) and stories. in my long fic i have plenty of expository bits that can almost be entirely removed from the fic itself and still stand their ground. i've even posted some of them here (like this one about seb's birthday). overall i just fuck with description like crazy and could write an entire story with that and internal monologue and i wouldn't have much of a struggle. conversations are important and i've grown to love dialogue over the years, but i'll always be a description lover at heart.

as for my least favorite part? time and pacing. i already have a complex relationship time irl so this is like,,, even harder for me. and it sucks because i do a ton of research on things to make them accurate to the story timelines and even have notes about when things occur to help me keep track yet i still mess them up. i think time is one of 3 big reasons i haven't posted my long fic yet and won't until it's 100% done. i just don't catch things in the initial draft sometimes and also change around ideas as i get to know characters and storylines a bit better.

40. If someone were to make fan art of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

holy shit dude if anyone made anything based on my writing i would fucking explode??? already kinda did after this post knowing they got brainrot from me and my samalex fic-- generally speaking though, i think you can tell exactly what bits mean a lot to me in my stories. they're described in very particular, very vivid ways and tend to have a lot of movement.

i think if i have to give specific examples here though, one of them would be That ™️ scene with sam/seb on winter 10, the scene with welwick on winter 17, anything from the flower dance (y2), and something i haven't written but know very well, a scene from summer 20 (y2). none of this matters to anyone but you though because it's not out LOL

(but for future reference... winter is my favorite season of the entire fic and it spans from spring y1-fall y2. so like,,, anything from there would send me to the MOON)

65. Tell us what you're most looking forward to writing -- in your current project, or a future project.

i'm working on a couple of things right now so i'll answer accordingly.

in my long fic (baby seasons change, but people don't) i'm most looking forward to summer 20 (y2). it's sam's 21st birthday chapter and it's been rolling around my head for about six weeks now. it's just SO FUCKING FUN DUDE. top three bits of the fic for me and i haven't even written it yet XD

in my current short fic (late dawns, early sunsets -- a zombie apocalypse au fic) i'm most looking forward to a particular argument that happens at the end of chapter 4. the entire thing is whump so i'm not... super happy or excited per se, but the scene is very complex emotionally and i feel like i'm gonna make sam come to a few realizations in that moment. there's only 6 planned chapters so this is very much the turning point. him and seb are also very drunk so there's that added layer of complexity.

i have a few of ideas for future projects that aren't just sambastian. i fuck with that ship heavy but i also have some pretty layered ideas for another samalex kinda thing, a different samalex fic that i'm contemplating making a samsebalex thing, and to cope with whatever the fuck i did to sebalex in my long fic, i might conjure up something for them too. i also wanna write haley/abby into my fics a bit more because they don't get nearly enough time to shine and i love love love their dynamic. so maybe i write a short story for them to satisfy those brain worms. we'll see.
