doctors... reid and reid? - professor!spencer reid x professor!reader

There are two Professor Reid...s on campus.

It's not that hard to get them mixed up, really. They aren't the same person, and while it isn't completely uncommon to have two professors with the same last name on campus, it is strange that the "Doctor" Reid who drops in thrice a semester to guest lecture in criminology classes wears a ring eerily similar to the other Professor Reid on campus.

If anything, you don't get any fewer questions from nosy students in your smaller classes when "Doctor" Reid shows up on campus with two coffee orders and drops by your department's office... how convenient that you're also Professor "Reid".

You insist that they're thinking too much even when someone points out the cup of coffee on your desk from a local coffee shop from the same one someone saw Spencer drinking out of in the morning.

Most of the students keep to themselves, though. Quiet brow raises when you decline a call from "Spence", slow blinking when catching Spencer walk you to work in the morning, quick press of his lips to yours and a happy tilt from you. Most people who catch you two don't really know who you both are.

Spencer crashes your class once, though. How couldn't he? You left your lunch at home in a rush in the morning and he knows what classroom you teach in anyway, so surely it's not much of a harm to drop in with your lunch.

And, well, as much as you'd like to keep gaslighting your students so they stay out of your life, who are you to deny it when your husband introduces himself as yours?
