I was planning on putting it up for sale on Facebook, but I was thinking maybe you wanted it? No offense, but your couch is uncomfortable as hell.” And it’s an innocent comment — one with no underlying meaning under it — but it sends Buck on a spiral to find one anyway. or: A 8x08 coda where Buck believes in couch theory.

Like those words don’t have the power to breathe life back into Buck’s body and steal that breath back at the same time. “It’s dumb but - I guess I didn’t realize how ingrained you are in my life until suddenly you weren’t there.” “I-I miss you too,” Buck manages to say, though he has no idea if he sounds normal or if he sounds like there’s an anvil on his chest. Eddie smiles at him, eyes soft and fond even on Buck’s iPad screen. “I keep looking over my shoulder to say something to you or to see if you saw something dumb someone did too, but you’re not there.” OR Eddie goes to Texas to fix things with Chris and Buck pines.

Buck never had one of them staring up at him like Eddie is now, like he’s out of his mind. It’s uncharted territory. Buck doesn’t know where to go from here. or: Buck tries to dom Eddie.

He had only just reconciled himself to the idea of Tommy moving in, and here he is, alone again in his giant fucking loft. This is so typical. Before he can psych himself out, he pulls his phone out of his back pocket, and gets up the 118 groupchat. just so everyone knows, single again. - Episode tag to 8x06 Confessions, in which Buck talks through whether he should have known that first queer relationships are inherently doomed with his queer friends.

~ EVENT SPOTLIGHT : IF Short Games Showcase 2024 ~

December 1st 2024 to January 1st 2025

Short games tend to get less love than longer games in general-purpose, non-speed-IF comps, while the ones released outside of a competition or jam may not get eyes on them at all. The IF Short Games Showcase 2024 aims to give the shorter works their very own place to shine!

The Short Games Showcase is an opportunity to show off shorter interactive fiction works made in the past year (Jan 1, 2024 to Dec 31, 2024), regardless of whether or not they were previously released.

Authors can submit up to three games - each of them should be completable in 30 minutes or less. The showcase has a broad view of IF. It will accept anything usually considered to fall under that umbrella, including parser games, choice-based/choose-your-own-adventure games, visual novels, point-and-clicks, and text-focused Bitsy games. In addition, a work must not have been submitted to more than three prior jams or competitions.

The SGS will have both a Best Overall winner and winners in several specific categories:

Best Use of Short Form

Best Use of Interactivity

Best Story-Focused Game

Best Puzzle-Focused Game

Most Replay Value

Best Previously Unawarded Game

There might be no prizes, but bragging rights are great too.

Reputation Part 2, Alexia Putellas

You didn't ever anticipate playing against your sister. But here you were, currently flying from Barcalona to London for the first leg of the Champion's League Quarter Final. There were 7 teams that you could've faced but it had to be Arsenal. But facing Arsenal meant multiple things; not only were you facing your childhood club, you also had to face your past - you had to face Katie again.

These past few months had been better than you could've ever imagined. You grew up at Arsenal: you held such a love for the club and nothing would ever change that. But Barcalona gave you a different sense of belonging, like you were a piece of their jigsaw. Like they cherished you for you and not for being Leah Williamson's little sister.

Barcalona were currently sat at the top of the league as well as being in the quarter finals of the Champions League, you wanted to retain both of those titles with the club.

In terms of your personal career: you were improving everyday and your hard work was paying off. At 24, you had just placed 2nd in the rankings for the Ballon D'or. Your club teammate, Aitana Bonmatí had took the top spot.

And then there was Alexia.

She was a dream. She continued to impress you day by day, the world had tossed you the most beautiful, kind and caring soul you could've ever imagined. You didn't know what you did to deserve her.

Since that conversation at the club, you and Alexia had gone on so many different dates. Ranging from movie night on the sofa to picnics on the beach to resturant dinners. You spent weeks trying to prove that you only wanted her, you only needed her.

So, you asked her to be your girlfriend on New years eve.

Flashback……. 31st December 2023

You and Alexia had been apart over the christmas week. Her staying in spain with her mum and sister and you going back to England to be with your family.

Your flight had landed quite late in the afternoon, and Alexia was none the wiser that you were back in Barcalona.

The plan you had to ask Alexia to be your girlfriend was all ready to go.

Mapi had got Alexia to the beach just as you had asked. And now you had just go to said beach. You could see her on the beach just looking at the sunset and the sea. You had gotten Alexia a promise ring whilst back in England and it was currently sat in the back pocket of your jeans.

You headed towards where Alexia was stood and wrapped your arms around her waist, causing her to jump at your touch, clearly not expecting it.

As soon as she turned around, she jumped into your hold; wrapping her legs around your waist and her arms around your neck.

"Tu espalda, te extrañé." (Your back, I missed you.)

"Yo también te extrañé, amor." You said whilst placing her back down on the ground. (I missed you too, love.)

"¿Por qué estamos en la playa?" She asked, confused. (Why are we on the beach?)

"Bueno, quería sorprenderte en algún lugar que ambos amáramos." (Well, I wanted to suprise you somewhere we both loved.)

And it's true, you and Alexia loved the beach. It was one of your favourite places to be together other than the football pitch. Obviously.

"Y quería preguntarte algo." You continued. (And I wanted to ask you something.)

"¿Pregúntame qué?" (Ask me what.)

You took a step back from Alexia and got down on one knee whilst grabbing the promise ring from your back pocket.

"¿No crees que es un poco pronto para esto?" Alexia laughed slightly. (Don't you think it's a bit early for this?)

"No te lo voy a proponer, todavía no." It was only then you realised what it look liked you were going to do. (I'm not proposing, not yet.)

"Oh."

"Es un anillo de promesa. No puedo prometer que no tendremos discusiones ni consecuencias. No puedo prometer que seré perfecto porque ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que hice todo esto. Pero puedo prometerte que siempre estaré a tu lado, siempre te respaldaré y trataré de protegerte. Quiero que seamos tú y yo contra el mundo. Quiero estar contigo y solo contigo. Entonces Alexia, ¿serás mi novia?" (It's a promise ring. I can't promise that we won't have arguements, or fallouts. I can't promise that i'll be perfect because it's a long time since i've done all this. But I can promise that i'll always be by your side, i'll always back you up and try to protect you. I want it to be me and you against the world. I want to be with you and only you. So Alexia, will you be my girlfriend?)

By this point, you were both shedding tears. But Alexia quickly nodded and put her hand out so you could put her promise ring on. She pulled you up and soon attached her lip to yours whilst wrapping her arms around your neck, yours going to her hips pulling her closer to you.

"Te amo." She told you, resting her forehead on yours. (I love you.)

"Yo tambien te amo hermosa" (I love you too, beautiful.)

Flashback Over.

And here you were now, heading towards the tunnel of the Emirates stadium to play your former team.

Your former teammates were already stood in the tunnel, as were some of your current teammates, waiting to head out onto the pitch. Before joining your own sqaud, you quickly went to the front of the Arsenal squad where your sister was stood.

In all honesty, Barcalona were all over Arsenal during the first half, managing to get two goals past the. You and Patri being the two goal scorers, Alexia assisting them both.

However, in the second half, the Arsenal players started to become a lot more reckless. Late challenges, shirt grabs, harsh elbows and pushes was becoming incredibly frequent. You and Alexia seemed to be on the recieving end of most of them.

You managed to contain your fustration, that was until Katie tackled Alexia in the box. It was a high tackle from behind, Katie's studs going straight into the back of Alexia's calf, sending her straight to the ground.

Most of your teammates quickly ran over to where Alexia was laying on the ground. But you went rushing over to where Katie was stood and gave her a harsh push.

"What was that?" You shouted, causing you and Katie to go face to face.

"Proteceting your flavour of the month, how sweet." Katie laughed, her irish voice appearing sarcastic.

"I don't blame you, though. She seems like the desperate type." She continued.

By this point, you had Katie by her collar. Your hands clamped on Katie's shirt. Members of both teams trying to pull the pair of you.

Leah managed to get inbetween you both, her body blocking you from getting to Katie.

"You need to drop it, Y/N." Her sister voice coming out, trying to calm you down.

It wasn't until you heard someone else's voice that you were pulled away.

"Oye mirarme. No estoy herido, ella sólo está intentando llegar a ti." Alexia told you calmly, her hand grabbing yours to walk off. (Hey, look at me. I'm not hurt, she's just trying to get to you.)

Alexia scored the penalty that was awarded for Katie's challenged. The rest of the game went all Barcalona's way.

It finished 4-0 with you managing to get yourself a brace. After speaking to some of you former teammates, you went to find Alexia. Your eyes softened when you saw where she was, her and Leah were talking and laughing about something. Two of your favourite peopel, that sight would never get old.

Over the few months you known Alexia, you had managed to teach her some English. She asked you teach her so she could talk to your family.

You headed over to where they were stood talking. You went up behind Alexia and wrapped your arms around her waist, before kissing her cheek. You felt her lean back into your hold, her hands resting over yours.

"Where's mum?" You asked, directing your question to Leah.

She pointed to just next to the Arsenal benches, you looked towards where she was pointing to see your Mum and brother.

You took yourself away from holding Alexia before grabbing her hand pulling her in the direction of your Mum and brother.

The three of them were extemely fast to jump into conversation. Alexia's english was better than you thought it was. Was there anything this girl couldn't do?

You left them to talk, as you and Leah went around the stadium together.

"You love her, don't you." She asked you, the look on her face telling she already knew what the answer was going to be.

"I really do, Le." Your gaze followed straight to where Alexia was still talking to your Mum and brother.

"I'm sure there's worse sister in laws in the world." She chuckled to herself.

"I'm gonna marry her." You told her confidently.

Was doing some research and came across this article from The New Yorker here:

"Hate crimes against Jews have been on the rise around the country for several years, but this past month saw a spike in violence in the New York area. On December 10th, three people were fatally shot at a kosher supermarket in Jersey City, along with a police officer who was killed nearby. Eighteen days later, five people were stabbed at a Hanukkah celebration in an Orthodox community in Rockland County. It hurts my heart to read. It is not revolutionary. It is one of hundreds of articles that read the same, hundreds of Jewish lives lost to violence in our own "haven" of a country.

for those that missed it: takin over the asylum takeover was an event me and @jaykinarts ran last December, that basically worked as a TOTA appreciation week. Each day follows a different character/thing, and you post about that character on that day. Posts can range from random thoughts, incoherent ramblings, photos, gifsets, fanfiction, art, literally anything - as long as it's on the right day and tagged as '#tota takeover".

while the point is to appreciate takin over the asylum, it's also about filling the tag with some non-campbell centric posts and appreciation, and giving (particularly) the women of the show some deserved attention

Hello, and welcome to 'Thoughts on the Try Guys streaming platform thing', by basically the only remaining try guys dedicated account on Tumblr (I think (Also ignore I haven't changed my pfp after the controversy))

So, as I've said before, I think the guys really managed this very well when you compare today's video with Watcher's announcement from a few weeks back. They seem to be using the new streaming service as a fancier Patreon that you can subscribe to if you like the content and want more of it, plus the exclusive vids or extra stuff, but it doesn't seem like it's meant to replace the channel and leave the people who can't afford it behind. They are offering a lot of new shows, many of which they teased on the youtube channel. The little pilots were used not only to give us a taste of what 2nd Try will be like but also introduced the new cast members! (I guess it's apropiate now to call Johnny Cakes, Kwesi, Marissa and rest as Try Guys too?). I'm so so happy to see them now as main talent; they helped carry the new era of the channel for the last year and a half and deserve the recognition.

Hooowever, I will say this.

I feel like the way they are handling this transition (and, let's be frank, the reaction from the audience) would not have been the same without the Watcher TV announcement and its fallout.

In case you don't know: Zach and Keith told us there would be a BIG announcement around this time of year way back in December. In early May (I think) watcher announced their own streaming service and literally everybody hated it. In mid-may, on a random Wednesday, the try guys channel just? don't post anything? and it seems like a very last minute decision to not post a video when they have posted videos every Wednesday for years? And now, a week later, they announce their own streaming service (with a video that references Watcher's announcement, so we know it was filmed after that was posted).

We can only guess, of course. Nothing is confirmed. But it really seems like they were going, if not the same, a very similar route that Watcher was. This is why I struggle to give them that much credit for offering a better deal that the Ghoul boys did, since I don't think they would've taken the same decisions a month ago. I want to think they are good guys who understand that most people can't afford to pay for this and they wouldn't put ALL their content behind a pay wall. But if you asked me a moth ago, I would have told you that Ryan and Shane were incapable of that too.

So I guess I'm not sure how to feel lol.

(Also I know many watcher fans are kinda mad that the try guys are getting a better response that Watcher did and also that Keith and Zach referenced the Watcher.tv vid because they think it was shady.

This week in SIX Chaos!

For the 3rd week in a row, Broadway has had minimal chaos occur. The only notable news is Principal Cleves Olivia Donaldson seems to of taken a well-deserved break from the show. She has had the least shows off of any SIX cast member!

Over on the Boleyn tour, tagging on from last week, Alternate debuts/Re-debuts are happening like rapid-fire! As i suspected, New Alt Caroline Siegrist made their Parr debut on December 27th, only days after their Tour Debut as Katherine Howard! In addition, Previous Toronto Alt Hailey Lewis has made their re-debut as Catherine of Aragon on Christmas Eve!

Australia has seen its 3rd & final swing hit Swingo! Orange Swing Thalia Smith made their debut as Katherine Howard on December 26th! In addition, Silver Swing Chiara Assetta has continued in the role of Cleves since replacing Principal Zelia Rose Kitoko on December 22! Both swings continued in the roles until the tour's final performance at the Theatre Royal, Sydney. Next up, Brisbane!

In London, as the date for cast change draws closer, Many alts/Swings are making their final performance dates public! Below, I have listed the final performance for each alt/swing Hannah Lowther: 16/2/24 (Howard) Meg Dixon-Brasil: 8/2/24 (Boleyn) Naomi Alade: 14/2/14 (Cleves) Ellie Jane Grant: 21/1/24 (Cleves) (Gabriella Stylianou is yet to post)

In terms of Chaos, December 29th saw a 3/6 Silver Swing show! This has only happened a handful of times before with the 23-24 Uk tour! Gabriella Stylianou played her 2nd cover of Catherine Parr, Esme Rothero played Howard, and Meg Dixon-Brasil played Boleyn!

Today also marks the return of Principal Cleves Reca Oakley, having spent Christmas In her home country, America. Welcome back Queen!

And finally, The Uk tour at last seems to have escaped their 2 week long period of Mass Chaos! Principal Parr Eloise Lord returns to the production after a 3 week vacation! Principal Aragon Bille Kerr returns after a short stand-down due to Illness. Unfortunately, Principal Seymour Liberty Stottor remains Indisposed, having only performed 3 shows at the tour's current stop.

Silver Swing Izzy Formby-Jackson is 1 queen further to Swingo after smashing her Cleves Debut Yesterday Afternoon! Now, we await the entrance of Fellow divorcee, Aragon!

Teal Alt Loren Santo-Quinn is also set to make a re-debut today as Anne Boleyn! This will undeniably be a stellar performance, as Quinn previously played the role full time on the Bliss cruise!

๋࣭ ⭑ It was December 2003 when I watched the first Harry Potter film. I fell in love with the film! I saw the 2nd movie when it came out at the time but for the rest I didn't watch until 2020. (Yes I know, WAY LATE.) As for the books I've never read until now which I am slow at but I am reading the books.

๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Why the love for Snape? ๋࣭ ⭑⚝

๋࣭ ⭑ First and foremost, I am a huge fan of Alan Rickman. He has captured my heart with his exceptional acting skills and down-to-earth personality. He knows just how to bring a character to life and add that extra spark of excitement! ๋࣭ ⭑ One of the other reasons I am drawn to Snape as a character is his unique appearance. Tall and dark, with an aquiline nose and long black hair, he is like a piece of eye candy for me. There's something captivating about men who dress in all black, especially if it's in vintage styles that are more modest. Maybe it's just my quirky Aquarius side, but I find what others may consider unusual and strange to be fascinating and uniquely attractive.  ๋࣭ ⭑ But on a deeper note…I love Snape because I can relate to the bullying he went through while at Hogwarts and I had a friend in 5th grade who was bullied and outcasted like him. Like jayrickman on TikTok put it… “If you asked me what I think about the Marauders, I would say…That like every other character they had their flaws and strengths and that I quite like Remus! But if you asked me on a deeper level…I would say they were horrible people (except for Remus), that came from wealthy influential families and bullied people until a point of attempted murder and S.A. Nothing can ever justify that and I’m wholeheartedly convinced that, if Severus was not excluded by literally everyone BUT Slytherins, he would’ve turned out to be a completely different person. People crave companionship. Milieu forms people.The Slytherins passively and actively brainwashed him to think of his hatred towards his abusive muggle father as hatred towards all muggles. He was abused at home and thought Hogwarts would be his safe place, only to then be bullied there too. Marauders fans have managed to spin their little fanfictions in such a way that they actually made the victim the villain. Snape becoming a bully is such a CLASSIC case of the abused becoming the abuser yet Marauders fans will still say that he deserved to be S.A. I sincerely wish I was privileged enough to say things like ‘sometimes bullying is okay’ because it is more than apparent that no Marauders stan has ever felt what it’s like to have absolutely no one and cling on to whatever lifeline you have. It was always Tobias’ and the Marauders fault that he turned out the way he did.” 

๋࣭ ⭑ I am someone who faced bullying since Elementary because of being of mixed race and the things I like, being S.A during my 10th and 11th grade school years and people saw and did nothing as well as the staff and then having a good majority of my so-called ‘friends’ tell me ‘it was my fault’ and ditched me when I needed them most. I feel a kinship to Snape through that trauma, unfortunately.

oh my god, sorry this took forever to reply to! i actually forgot it was an ask – i took your idea, took notes while rewatching the movie and started planning a gifset. it's taken me forever to complete (life is busy atm), but ill try to post it today to celebrate 100 days of the movie!

This year has been a wild ride, yet somehow we reached the end! ( …Of the year, the wild ride, or our stamina - who knows?!)

For the next 3 weeks, Bloom will be taking a well deserved holiday break. We’ll be back at work in the second week of January.
