The voice was familiar and he looked up to find his cousin, one who was still speaking to him, the other black sheep of the family. “I should have known the mothering instinct in you would be the first thing to kick in,” he chuckled at her comment. Of course, she wouldn’t want Dora to see it as she would definitely want to go for a ride. While he was reckless with himself he wasn’t about to be reckless with his cousin’s child. For the simple fact, they were a child, but also he had very few family who still spoke to him, and he would never jeopardise having her turn her back on him. “Come on, even I wouldn’t let Dora ride this. So I won’t bring it round as I know she would want to ride it.”
“Are you impressed with my inventing savvy or horrified cousin?” he asked with a grin. He was leaning toward the latter. Though she was the other black sheep of the family she did it in a much different way. “Yes, it took quite a lot of brains to get this up and running so really you should be quite proud of me,” he noted. People often thought he wasn’t as smart as he was because of what he used his intelligence for but when push came to shove he could outsmart many of them. It was better for people to underestimate you after all. “How is the little terror and the other half?”
It was rare for Andromeda to have a day to herself. Not that she would ever complain. She was happy with the busy life at home with Ted and Nymphadora, it was certainly never boring. She wasn't sure what Ted may have seen on her face this morning, but it seemed enough for him to encourage her to take the day for herself. She had objected, perfectly content to spend the day at home with them. But with his insistence she had agreed. Which was how she had found herself in Diagon Alley, wandering the stores and perusing more than anything else. She had bought a few items, mainly things that she knew the two at home would love. Already she looked forward to seeing the way their faces lit up when she revealed she had purchased their favorite sweets.
Stepping out of the latest shop, she could no longer deny the way her stomach growled. She turned down the street, debating what she wanted to eat when she spotted her cousin. Never passing up the opportunity to see Sirius, and also curious what he was up to. The moment he spoke she could only shake her head in disbelief. She supposed she shouldn't be surprised. "Please don't bring that to the house next time you visit. I'll never hear the end of Dora begging to get to go on a ride..." Her voice was resigned as she shook her head in disbelief. "A flying motor bike Sirius? How on earth?"
