Interesting how Suzuka being abandoned as an infant led to her losing her real blood family and thus searching for the meaning of familial bond for very long while living a completely different life to that of Senhime. Yet fate lead her to form her own familial that transcends the meaning of inherited bonds and she came to cherish them dearly, even when she tragically lost the ones she loved repeatedly (her ‘father’ then her ‘brothers’ Otakemaru).

Her whole experience shaped her sense of justice and how she is desperate to protect everyone in need.

Consequently, being away from her real homeland and growing up in a completely different environment in a way helped her both her and Senhime grow in ways which would not happen if things in the sea of eternity were to remain as is.

Today's pop culture spirit is... Sasori Onna/Xiē Nǚ (蠍女/蝎女) from Onmyoji.

Her bio from game is as follows:

She's a spirit born in the hands of a scorpion farmer. She was living a drifter's life when Suzuka Gozen found her and brought her back to Mt. Suzuka. She sees the powerful Suzuka Gozen as her only master and often ignores the commands of the Young Master Otakemaru. She uses her hard claws to protect her master, but she can also heal her allies with a drop or two of her venom. Harmless as she may appear, she's cruel and cool-blooded. She's the secret "poison dagger" of Mt. Suzuka.

Sasori Onna lives on Mt. Suzuka, a mountain for (sea) monsters. She appears harmless, but is actually a ruthless person. She works as an assassin and killer for Suzuka Gozen, who she searched for for 200 years. She doesn't trust much else than Suzuka Gozen.

She isn't necessarily heavily prone to violence, and instead is just very willing to engage within it and enact it. As such, Sasori Onna can be called upon for varied acts of violence.

She speaks directly and clearly, often very to the point. She's blunt, and very clear about what she wants out of people.
