30 Cabinet Ministers In New Modi Government: See List

Narendra Modi today took oath as Prime Minister for a record third term, equalling India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's record of three wins.

Honour guards lined the steps of the Rashtrapati Bhavan where thousands gathered to watch PM Modi, dressed in a white kurta and with blue waistcoat, take the oath.

PM Modi was followed immediately by top BJP aides Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari.

South Asian leaders from neighbouring Bangladesh, the Maldives and Sri Lanka attended the ceremony but neighbouring rivals China and Pakistan had notably not sent top leaders.

Led by the Prime Minister, the new team includes 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 36 Ministers of State.

PM Modi's party, BJP, won 240 seats in this year's poll, 32 short of a majority in the 543-member lower house. Allies helped him cross the 272-majority mark, with the National Democratic Alliance or NDA notching up 293 seats

On March 17, 2023, Teerthanker Mahaveer University organised its convocation ceremony 2023 in which 5988 students of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 were awarded their degrees. The event was sparkling in the gracious presence of a distinguished chief guest Hon’ble CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath Ji, and the esteemed guest of honour Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister of Finance & Parliamentary Affairs, UP, along with Shri Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, BJP, President, UP. As per the tradition of the university, the event started with a lamp-lighting ceremony in front of Maa Saraswati by the esteemed chief guests. Later, Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain and GVC Shri Manish Jain welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour by presenting bouquets. During the welcome address, Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Vice Chancellor, said that Teerthanker Mahaveer University always focuses on providing holistic education to its students. The university promotes research, entrepreneurial skills and professional ethics required to succeed in an increasingly interconnected and globalised world.

State government committed to conserve the rich cultural heritage : Chief Minister

SHIMLA 19th February, 2023 CM announces Rs. one crore to Dev Samaj Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over a program organized by Sarv Devta Seva Samiti at Sanskriti Sadan Mandi in Mandi district today. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh is Devbhoomi and Veerbhoomi. Dev culture of the state has its own distinct identity and people have deep faith in the deities, he added. He announced to provide Rs. one crore to the Dev Samaj and to allot half bigha land around the temples from the allotable pool. He assured that adequate funds would also be made available for the maintenance of Sanskriti Sadan so that other programs related to Dev Samaj could be organized in a better way. Chief Minister said that the state government would fulfill all the 10 guarantees given by the Congress party in its manifesto in a phased manner. He said that the former BJP government made announcements without budgetary provisions, but despite this the BJP was thrown out of power by the people. He said that the present State Government was making efforts to bring the economy back on track, but it would take some time and it required cooperation from all. On this occasion President, HPCC and MP Pratibha Singh said that International Shivratri is an ancient fair. The people of Himachal Pradesh have deep faith in the Dev culture. Remembering contribution to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Pratibha Singh said that it was due to his efforts that Dev Sadans in Mandi and Kullu were constructed for the convenience of Dev Samaj. MLA Mandi Sadar Anil Sharma thanked for making a provision of Rs 10 crore for shifting Mandi Jail out of the town. MLA Dharampur Chander Shekhar said that the present government is working to ensure the welfare of every section of the society. He said that with the blessings of the deities, the state government is constantly moving forward on the path of system change. Former Minister Kaul Singh Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on his arrival at Mandi said that Himachal Pradesh is the land of Gods and International Mandi Shivratri Mela is a part of the state's ancient culture. Earlier, President of Sarva Devta Sewa Samiti Shiv Pal Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries. He appreciated the various efforts of the state government to bring transparency in administration. A film that has been in the news for the longest time since it went on floors is Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf Suresh starrer The Sky is Pink. The film is a love story of a couple that is shown from the perspective of their teenage daughter who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Priyanka will be seen playing Aditi while Farhan will be playing her husband in the film. The trailer of The Sky is Pink is all set to be released at 10 am today.

Ahead of the trailer launch, Priyanka Chopra Jonas spoke about the film to Bombay Times. PeeCee isn’t just associated with The Sky is Pink as an actor but also is co-producing the film with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Priyanka mentioned that the film is all about love and hope. The global star is proud to be a part of the making of this film and mentioned that playing the role was extremely challenging but something she had to do. Priyanka also spoke about the fact that she thinks of the story is something that everyone will relate to.

Priyanka said, “The Sky Is Pink is a story of love and hope, and I think that it will resonate with everyone at some level. We’ve all faced loss and this movie shows us how to celebrate the life of your loved one, instead of mourning their death. I knew playing Aditi Chaudhary was going to be challenging and portraying her journey on screen has been really special. As a co-producer, I’m proud to be a part of making a film like this.”

Farhan Akhtar, who will be seen playing Niren Chaudhary, mentioned that he was grateful to be a part of such a project and that making it was fun as well as emotional. Directed by Shonali Bose, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronni Screwvala also praised the concept of their film and called it an inspiring story. Ronni even revealed that the film will be released in 25 countries. The trailer is scheduled to be released at 10 Am and since the last few days, Priyanka has been sharing stills from the film. Yesterday, the first look poster was also shared and PeeCee, Farhan, Zaira and Rohit painted a happy family picture in it. The Sky is Pink is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
