hey! strictly personal i‘d say adam, fergus (i mean. it‘s more geoffrey streatfeild than fergus. idk i think fergus is unfuckable, and then i look at geoff and go insane? if that makes sense?), emma, peter (yeah sorry), jamie, dan miller, helen, malcolm, and, moving away from the main cast, simon weir & baroness sureka. hugh i wouldn’t exactly call hot but i certainly like to look.

When beginning Transition to Professional Practice, I was quite sceptical on what it was going to be like. I was unsure what to think about it. I knew what is basically involved and that I would be creating resume’s and writing cover letters. I was confident about starting the class though due to how short the duration of it was. This gave me good confidence that it wasn’t going to be so tough. Which each class progressing at a rapid rate, I found myself comfortable in the environment and class. I was building confidence supremely and found talking to peers much easier than ever before. I genuinely loved the class due to its engaging activities, short duration, and simple assignments.  

I learnt so much in such a short period of time. I had no prior experience or knowledge coming into it, so there was a lot of room for me to move. My ability to construct a resume and cover letter from January 29th to February 23rd took a tremendous leap. So too, my confidence and performance within an interview. I now feel very good about doing a mock interview, submitting a cover letter, and just generally anything to do with being professional. I believe this class has greatly assisted me in getting a great internship/job in the future. Career development is a necessary aspect of each individual’s pathway when transitioning from studies into the workplace environment (Varma et al., 2022).  

My experience in this class was amazing and I am so grateful for it. I was able to learn a great amount in a very short time frame. The assignments were all extremely helpful and relevant to the class. I found all three of them rather easy and didn’t struggle at all. I really enjoyed participating in the assignment interview in week four. It felt quite professional and emulated a real job interview. I had some strengths and of course some weaknesses, but overall I was quite content with my performance. All the classes ran were fun and engaging. Whilst being a bit wordy at times, I enjoyed sitting in each of these classes. Engaging in practice interviews with peers each session was another fun and different component of this class. It’s not something many of us have done so it proves as challenging but unique. All in all, I will take away so much knowledge and insight from this class and look back on it very fondly.

a slow day, the clock ticking, time when seconds felt like ours and minutes felt like days. osamu stands at the counter, staring at the glass door waiting for someone to walk in and save him from this time prison he's been trapped in.

well no, he isn't waiting for just anyone, he's waiting for someone... special. he's waiting for the girl who never fails stand on the line of friendly and flirty, the girl who walks into the room and all the lights turn to her with a radiant energy.

he's waiting for you.

you've been walking into the store – ordering something different each time – at the same time everyday for the last week. the interactions the two of you have together being the highlights of his day.

and now, osamu waits, the sun beginning to set and the time – slowly – reaching closing. his fingers anxiously drumming themselves on the counter, his mind racing with thoughts and questions.

until the door swings open and everything falls away, and there you are. he sighs in relief, and smiles, "hey."

"don't tell me you were waiting for me," you say, approaching the counter with a grin plastered on your face.

"no, of course not," osamu scoffs, waving it off. "but, i was getting afraid that my favourite customer wasn't going to show up today. you do spend an awful lot of money here,"

"ahh, so i see, you're afraid of losing profit." you nod, playing along with the banter. "is that all i am to you miya?"

"no, no, no!" he stumbles over his words, feeling heat begin to rush to his cheeks. "i'm just curious as to what motivates a person to come in here everyday to buy the same thing," he hums, "you do know they're quite easy to make."

you snap and point your fingers at him, "ah but that's the thing! i can't cook, i tried to make spinach one time and i had no idea what to do." you laugh, watching as his mouth drops open.

"you're kidding!" he says, "spinach is one of the easiest things to make! you just leave it in a pan for a couple of minutes."

"well, i'm sorry i don't know what i'm doing," you raise your hands up in defence.

"cooking isn't that hard," he shakes his head, the corner of his lips turning as he begins to gather your regular order. it didn't take long to memorise, just a few things from the glass cases. "it's a lot cheaper than coming in here everyday,"

"well then, how about you teach me?"

"oh yeah?" he questions, placing the paper bags on the counter. "what exactly would i be teaching you how to make?"

you laugh at the thought that came into your mind, "i was thinking... how i like my eggs in the morning."
