clarification: the crucifixions were in celebration of suzuka nakamoto's birthday. sumetal (along with moametal, yuimetal, momometal, and even the kami band (more so east than west i believe) are all characters; this allows for the girls to have their own private lives (in my opinion) and for koba to continue with the lore without much disruptions (although i'm sure the departure of yuimetal and the death of mikio (rip) didn't help much))

Yuchi Headcanons: Music Edition Pt. 1

Machi wanted to find some music that wasn’t repetitive or perfect, since perfection is something that causes her stress. She’d already heard about cute Jpop groups from Kimi, and she listens to them occasionally for Kimi’s sake. She still wanted to find something that suited her interests a bit more. She listened to their music and got hooked by the clash of aesthetics and the red color scheme. She is a BABYMETAL stan. Here’s a few songs I think would be her favs:

Distortion : I feel like this is the MV she watches the most. All the red lights, and fire and blood red sky is something she finds soothing.

Uki Uki Midnight : I think Machi probably has a complex about lullabies. She never got sung lullabies by her parents, but she secretly enjoys them. Since Uki Uki Midnight features a remix of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, it holds a special place for her. 

Catch Me If You Can : A dear friend of mine headcanons that Machi skateboards. Which is too cute. Machi listens to this song when she goes to the skate park, it’s on her skateboarding playlist titled SK8 P4RK. And yes, she definitely forces Kimi to go with her. 

Doki Doki Morning : Machi surprisingly, is on time for things. She gets to events super early so she has time to find a spot to sit. She listens to this song as she gets ready in the morning. 

Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!! : When I listened to this song, I immediately thought of this official art of them: 

One of the aesthetics that Machi likes is the gothic victorian. Headbanger’s whole vibe is gothic church. She listens to this song when she gets dressed for a formal event with Yuki. In her dark academia outfit of course. 

Where does the Yuchi aspect come in? Well:

 Yuki of course, supports Machi in her newfound liking of kawaii metal. He buys her merchandise and CDs. 

They definitely practiced BABYMETAL-inspired makeup looks, which of course ends with a pack of makeup wipes being used. 

Machi likes practicing the dances, but doesn’t learn them entirely. Since learning them perfectly would be stressful, she learns the chorus and just moves around for the other verses. Yuki has walked in on her learning the dances too many times, which results in Machi sheepishly kicking him out of their room so she can practice. He asks her to show him the dances, but she never does unless they’re at a concert

Despite the fact that these two are my introvert power couple, something tells me that post-curse, Yuchi love going to concerts together. There’s enough room that they can move and mess around without fear of judgement. They also definitely kiss when the music swells. They would definitely go to as many BABYMETAL events as possible, considering Machi is such a die-hard fan. It’s the only time Machi will do BABYMETAL choreography in front of him. Despite her hating perfection, Machi is a decently good dancer if she puts her mind to it. 

I may write a fanfic about them going to a BABYMETAL concert together, I think that’d be cute.
