"(sorry for submitting a bunch of these i just love the silly sticks) I don't know if anyone has explored the idea of a fail being the right choice in an alternate timeline. What if fusing into Ellry was the right choice? What if at the end of Pardoned pals or Toppat recruits you could just ditch everyone and run into the sunset? What if the betrayed route ended with Reginald helping henry up? What if choosing luxury escape pod had henry charles and all of those toppats awkwardly escape together? The possibilities are endless! (Well I did only list 3 major end game choices but still)" submitted by @mystorl

LuzAnne Headcanons
Tumblr media
Luz and Anne hit it off almost immediately, bonding over their similar experiences.
Anne would teach Luz some Muay Thai, which would definitely come in handy in their adventures throughout Amphibia and the Boiling Isles.
Both are initially hesitant about confessing their feelings, but do eventually get around to it.
Following the events of "Hollow Mind," Anne is the first person to try and reassure Luz that her (Luz) aiding Belos wasn't her fault.
During this, Anne pulls Luz into their first kiss, a sign of their growing feelings for each other.

Sent to our inbox by the submitter: ❝there's a post going around in which the OP said they only read fics with a "1 kudo per 10 hits" to "make sure it is good" and asked other fanfic readers how they picked fics to read. the post was slightly controversial because 1/10 was unrealistic considering repeat readers, multichapter fics, etc altering the number in favour of more hits yet less kudos but most importantly, because it affected small authors.❞
More from the submitter: ❝numbers in percentages because some author have 1 fic and others have over 100❞
Admin's comment: Sorry, but the "1 kudo per 10 hits" rule is just dumb. As a writer and a reader, some of the most well and professionally written fics I've read don't even pass this so-called "rule". It's faulted and it's NOT a good way to determine if a fic is good at all. Because a fic that is centered around popular fandom or ship WILL almost certainly be guaranteed to have lots of kudos, because of how popular the characters are; sure, fics with lots of kudos can be good, but the number of kudos alone is not enough to determine if it's "good". Especially because lots of readers tend to NOT leave kudos even if they like the fics. And some readers tend to leave kudos on every fic they read, whether or not they actually like them. The "rule" will only discourage writers from writing and making good fics, so it's just outright harmful.
If you want to know if a fic is good or not, read the summary of the work and see if you like the writer's writing style (the summary is the most important factor for me when choosing something to read, because it tells the writing style the writer has and what the entirety of the fic will be like). You can also read the tags and see if those tags grab your attention.
I have never looked at the number of kudos a fic has when choosing something to read, and instead I only pay attention to tags and summary, and that's how I end up reading so many good fics.
— Admin 1
Edit: as people have pointed out, hits will go up if your readers love your fics enough to come back and re-read them; their views will be counted as more hits. But AO3 only allows a user to leave kudos only once. So it’s almost entirely impossible for most fics to pass this “test”, just another fault the test has.
I mean… according to the logic of the rule itself, if your readers like your works so much they come back to reread them, they will only increase the gap between hits and kudos, and therefore it’ll only mean your fics are “not good” because people read them more than once.
You see how harmful and unreliable this rule is?
This poll was submitted to us and we simply posted it so people could vote and discuss their opinions on the matter. It’s that time again! Official sign ups are now open!
For those of you who are new, this is an art tournament dedicated to our favourite babygirl, transfem Leo! This isn’t a heavily competitive tournament, our intention and focus is to give everyone a chance and excuse to brag about their art and their take on transfem Leo, we’re keeping everything fun and friendly here!
Sign ups will be open for two weeks starting today (March 1 - March 15 edit; sign ups have been extended for an extra week! Ending on March 22!) Below, you’ll find our list of rules and criteria, as well as instructions on how to submit your work!
RULES
• Both digital and traditional art is allowed! And it can be anything from a plain sketch to a fully lined and coloured piece!
• We won't be allowing edits, but tracing from the official comics or cartoons is fine! (No tracing of fanart, even with consent)
• NO AI ART! Any AI submitters will be blocked and if art is discovered to be AI at any point in the tournament it will be immediately disqualified!
• All iterations and AUs are welcome!
• Your transfem Leo does not need to identify as female, use she/her pronouns, or be fem-presenting (as much as a turtle can present as any gender anyways). "Trans" in this case is using the umbrella term, and nonbinary identities fall under that! "Fem" here can mean feminine, female presenting, female identifying, or even just using she/her pronouns! (This can get a little tricky to use as a requirement because gender is fake but basically if you think your Leo belongs here then they most likely do)
• The art piece itself must obviously include and focus on our babygirl, but if you want to draw other characters with her you can!
• For those who participated in the first season of the tournament, as long as you didn’t make it to the finals or semi-finals, you can participate again with a new submission!
• No gore, nsfw, or tcest. We don't be promoting any bashing of these things though, DNIs are fine but any variation of "kys" is not okay. Trying to keep things clean and easygoing here!
• If you’re submitting something that is part of an AU that features a triggering topic (self harm, suicide, abuse, CSA, etc.), your submitted work can not contain these topics, and the post that your submission is linked to must contain a trigger warning in the post itself (not in the tags) for those who follow our links and may be interested in seeing more of your AU
To sign up, please send us (via DM ideally):
• A link to the post with your art (so we can link to it during the tournament!)
• Your babygirl’s name (Leonardo, Lee, Leonora, etc.)
• Your babygirl’s pronouns (she/her, he/she, she/they, he/they, etc.)
And that’s it! If you have any questions, our DM’s and ask box are always open!

Quote 1: "Almost Christmas means it wasn't Christmas!" - Phoenix Wright, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Quote 2: ""Trust your partner"... And I do. I can't forgive you, but I trust you." - Neku Sakuraba, The World Ends With You/Subarashiki Kono Sekai
Propaganda
Quote 1: Top tier line. There is a reason why AA fans reblog this each year - Submitter/Mod Chaos, parts taken from the propaganda submitted
Quote 2: This isn't the LAST line of the game, but it's close, and it's a key line of the closing monologue. Neku has gone from one of the most insufferable misanthropic edgelord 15-year-olds in human history to a caring person looking at his home and the people in it in a new light. He has done so as a direct result of a three-week series of brutal death games played in the afterlife for the chance to come back to life. He's been forced to team up with three different people, partners who challenged his view point and forced him to grow. The second one, Joshua, was an EVEN MORE INSUFFERABLE misanthrope who nonetheless seemed to get Neku better than anyone else... and was also incredibly suspicious to the point where Neku accused him of being his killer... and sacrificed himself for Neku at the end of their week, along with Neku discovering Joshua apparently DIDN'T kill him after all. Emphasis on "apparently". At the end of the third week, Joshua comes back, completely unharmed, and drops a series of reveals where "I never said I DIDN'T kill you, tee hee" is arguably not the worst part of the murder alone. (He's also planning on destroying the city. Oh, and he's directly responsible for the brutal death games.) Then he challenges Neku to a shootout for the fate of the city, where Neku finds he can't shoot the guy. Joshua doesn't have the same problem... But then Neku wakes up on the street, alive for the first time in weeks, and the city hasn't been destroyed. We cut to a week later, where Neku addresses Joshua, pointing out how incredibly traumatizing the whole experience was, but also admitting that even so, he's grateful to have met his partners. He can't forgive Joshua for putting him through this shit, but he still trusts him. He closes the monologue by telling Joshua that he's meeting up with his new friends for the first time in a week, and asking to see him there. And then those friends call over to him, and the credits roll, and the player SOBS. - Submitter (Shout out to this person. Not only did they write these GIANT paragraphs for both of their submissions but they told me how to tag them. Thank you so much <3)

Choices Pride 2024!
Tumblr media
Welcome to the third annual Choices Pride Month Event! Sorry for getting the info up a little later than I originally planned, but here it is now! I have plenty of prompts below, but as always, you don't have to follow the prompts as any fanwork about queer characters/themes/etc. will be accepted.
Prompts and Rules below the cut (because this post is long lol)
Prompts
One-Word Prompts
Sexuality
Life
Healing
Sun
Nature
Art
Harmony
Spirit
Intersectionality
Kink
Parade
Mentor/mentorship
Q&A Prompts
*for either you or your characters to answer!
When did you first realize you were queer?
Who is someone who helped you come to terms with your sexuality and/or gender?
How do other aspects of your identity (race, class, ability, etc.) intersect with your sexuality and/or gender?
What is something that makes you feel empowered as a queer person?
What is your favorite piece of queer history (either something particularly important to the queer community or just something from history that’s queer!)?
What is your favorite part of being in the queer community?
Who’s your favorite queer Choices character(s)?
What is your favorite queer Choices book(s)?
Rules
This event will start on Saturday, June 1 and end on Sunday, June 30
While there are prompts, the use of them is not required. Any work that focuses on queer relationships/characters/themes/etc. is submittable.
Submissions must include the characters full name and which Choices story they are from. GOC characters must also include a gender tag (ex. m!MC, nb!OC).
If your work contains a relationship it must be labelled correctly, using "x" for romantic/sexual relationships and "&" for platonic relationships.
All submissions must be respectful of the LGBTQIA+ community.
NSFW/mature submissions are allowed, but must be tagged properly and have the proper community label.
You cannot submit AI generated content for this event.
Tag this account on all submissions. If I don't reblog within 72 hours, please DM me the post on this account as sometimes Tumblr tags can be unreliable. You can also use the #choices pride 2024

Bracket rules
Polls will all last for 1 week
New propaganda and images can be submitted at anytime through reblogs or asks.
A limit of 3 characters per franchise can be submitted!
FAQ
* If you have any other questions, please check the #answered tag on my blog before asking a question to make sure I haven't answered it before!
Why didn't you use a better image?
I use the images the submitters gave me, and if they did not provide one, I used the first image that google gave me (prioritizing full body images over cropped close ups)
Why would you pit these two together?
Normally said as a joke, but figured I would answer it seriously in case someone ever asked it seriously: matchups are all randomized.
Where can I submit characters?
I open up submissions via Google form as tournaments reach their end. There is a month long submission period, but the next one will have a 128 character limit to prevent such a big roster again.
Why does one character have propaganda and another doesn't?
Propaganda also comes from the submitters. I unfortunately do not have the time to go through every character that doesn't have propaganda and research what makes their design good.

Summary: Ongoing series On the way to the plateau, Arthur and John discover a spell in one of their books that will (hopefully) allow them to fight back against the King in Yellow. But when John ends up absorbed by the King, it's up to Arthur to free him.
Author: @croik
Note from submitter: OKAY! So it's a personal favorite of mine, canon divergence from the end of s2. You're gonna see the ship tagged and be confused at first but lemme just say that the author does and incredible job of making it all come together. It's an ongoing series, and I am in a constant state of rereading it

UNRELIABLE NARRATORS; REVIVAL BRACKET MEETS WINNERS BRACKET
Tumblr media
THE FINAL DECISION
Shen Qingqiu (SVSSS) vs. Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events)
RULES
For tie sweeps, im giving each match up a 0.2% margin. Additionally, you have to convince me that these two character have something in common besides being unreliable goofiers
Propaganda is very much encouraged :]
Please be nice to each other :( At the end of the day, this is a silly internet bracket with way too many obscure characters to count. remember to touch grass everyone
Polls from round 1-3 will be one day! From there, all polls will be a week, including the finals
The winner of the loser's bracket will go against the winner of the winner's bracket and that winner will be declared the most unreliable
There will be no propaganda on the polls. However I will still reblog art + propaganda in reblogs
There will be new characters so that the bracket is complete. These characters are highlighted in bold.
Main tag (with polls) will be #unreliable narrator battle
List of all characters below (+their match ups and brackets!)

Do You Know This DC Character?
In the tradition of several other "Do you know" and "Have you read/seen" blogs, here's one just for DC Comics characters!
Submissions
~~ Submit Here ~~
Before submitting, check if the character (or version of the character) is already in the queue HERE
Character must be owned by DC Comics. If you submit a character that isn't, they'll be removed from the queue.
Include a link to an image of the character with no text in it and no other characters. Info on getting image links HERE.
Optional: Specify the version of the character.
One character per entry. No groups or teams.
Please don't add info to the submission form that isn't asked for. If there's something additional you want to say, put it in a reblog when the poll comes out.
Polls
Schedule: One poll goes out each day at noon Eastern. (Currently on hiatus until late May)
Break down of the options:
I know them extremely well: Knowledge transcends genre or media. You've consumed it all. You're ready to give a TED talk about them at a moment's notice.
I know them: Familiar enough to talk about their source material. You've got all their many story beats down, but not enough to consider yourself an expert.
I know of them but not well: You're acquainted at best, you know them from cultural osmosis.
I've seen them or heard their name but don't know them.
I've never heard of them.
If a version of the character isn't specified by the submitter, "I know them" is replaced with these two options:
I know them from comics
I know them from other media
Note: There may be cases where "other media" is present but doesn't apply. Your friendly mod doesn't know all characters' appearances in all media, so it's easier to keep it there for consistency.
Results
Periodically I update the queue spreadsheet linked above to include poll results. They're not formatted well since the data is supplied programmatically, but the info is there. Timestamp of the dump is at the bottom of the list.
Note: I noticed there's some error in the program that creates the result sheet. Some have duplicate poll options at the end of the row, so just ignore those if you see them.
