This is what it looks like to say goodbye to a loved one. This is my husband's first underway since we had our baby almost 9 months ago. He will be gone for a few months and it was honestly heartbreaking to watch him say goodbye/see you soon to our son who doesn't understand what he's saying or why he hasn't seen his Dada. Like everything else we will come out of the other side fine. We can only take it day by day, and we will always be here for him when he gets back.

Children’s Book

Hi Friends! 

So something on my heart for a long time has been to write a children’s book for children of military families. I’ve been looking for an illustrator to either hire for commission or split the profits of the book with. Wondering if anyone out there in the MILSO community has a talent for illustration and would be interested in working together.

Today myself and a few of my fellow boat wives put up our homecoming cup sign outside of base. Things are becoming so real. The end of my husbands deployment is rapidly approaching and I get to see him very, VERY soon! I am SO happy 💕

Just a heads up if I take a brief hiatus from the blog. I won’t be spending much time on social media once he’s home. We’ve got a lot of missed time to make up for.

You guys, I just thought of the cutest thing for my work in progress.

My main character, Haley, is skeptical about getting back together with her ex, Justin, because his past complaints were that she never had time for him when they were together. So she asks him what would be different now.

He tells her that its okay that she’s busy because he’ll need her to be busy when he’s on a submarine for most of the year and can’t talk to her very much.

Cue the laughing and the crying because of my little Navy inside joke.

It's military spouse appreciation day- so here's to the months of no contact during the missions of deployments, the duty days, the 7pm dinners, and all the underways. Here's too never being able to plan anything, holidays alone, a large bed with an empty space, and binge watching Netflix to pass the time. Here's to the homecomings, the port calls, the emails (hearing that ping is worth it), and the 3 am phone calls when they are thousands of miles away and 18 hours behind you. Here's to the FRG because we can't get through this without them, the milso's who wipe away your tears and the girls night out that you'll never forget. Lastly, here's to having the most patience anyone could ever have, because we know that first kiss is worth it. Happy military spouse appreciation day everyone ❤️

Dana has to be behind dependanonymous. She has posted in the milso tag a few times since the blog shut down about how she can't wait for the tag to be drama free and now a few weeks later that it feels great now that it's drama free. She's the only person who keeps bringing up hate blogs and even "asks" coming in to her about how she feels now that they shut down. Like it screams that she was behind it again because she can't stop talking about it lol.

While it sounds possible, DA doesn’t speak the same way as Dana IMO. It’s possible she is sending in the asks to herself on her own blog and did to DA, but I just don’t think she ran DA. If she did, she sure as hell fooled me because I have talked to her and I have noticed her “style” of writing. Anything is possible anon. If I remember correctly, DA also didn’t seem super knowledgable on submarine life, but Idk!

Tidy up!

I haven’t updated in so long! And that mostly cause a certain someone’s home but it’s also because I procrastinate like f**k and wrote my deployment notes out by hand…

I will however be transferring them to here tonight so if you are following me you’ll be seeing alot of things on my dash disappear as it goes a little more SFW (and NSFW stuff gets moved to my other blog) but also seeing my notes appear, all dated and titled.

I had the weirdest dream last night that I dont remember all of the details...but I do remember having the empty feeling in my chest that I did when Markus was deployed. Then I remembered he's going back to a boat because he's already put in his 'obli-serv' paperwork, and I know I say I'll be fine now but as soon as he actually goes to a boat I'm going to freak out a little inside. #SubSpouseProblems haha

My husband has duty today so the plan was to power through most of my homework for the week. This little cutie had other plans. She didn't want to be put down so instead of homework today was filled with cuddles and smiles.

Weekend duty days suck. Especially on a Sunday. I miss my husband.

I have been following the stories about the missing Argentinan submarine and it absolutely breaks my heart that families have been told that they are believe to be dead. Even though its a sub from another country, the submarine community is a small and tightly knit group. All of the men and women who have the honor of wearing dolphins and their families are a part of my heart and it is terrifying to think that they put their life at risk every time they go out. My heart and sincerest sympathies go out to the families of the 44 crew members of the A.R.A San Juan. They will not be forgotten and they will forever be missed.

Submariner prayer for those on eternal patrol..

One of my husbands shipmates shared this with everyone today for the crew members of the lost submarine, and I wanted to share it with the tumblr community. May we keep the families in our prayers.
