Types Of German Visas
Before we get into the Germany Visa Checklist, let us first explore the different types of German visas. Here are some of the categories of German visas that are relevant for Indian citizens.

This thought might not be super well developed but I feel like in white-majority wealthy western countries there is a distinction between what is considered “civilised” white male crime and “uncivilised” crime by men of color. You can have a white man commit the same crime as a migrant man of color but the migrant man’s crime is blamed on his race, country of origin, whether or not he is there legally/documented, if he’s a refugee, etc. Meanwhile, white male citizens/immigrants/tourists commit the same crime and it’s looked at as Default Male Behavior. Like white men do Civilised Default Misogyny and Crime and men of color do Horrible Racialized Uncivilised Misogyny and Crime. I’m not excusing misogyny or violence by any man, but it’s important to note how alt-right and racist movements portray white men and their crime as “default” while men of color are exceptionally bad.
Radblr has a similar problem where white radical feminists hide their racism behind feminism. They say they “distrust all men” but often times hold extreme opinions about men of color, especially migrants, that they don’t about white men. Or they act like western governments should be able to ban male migrants from the Global South “just because they are men.”
I personally don’t hold these views but it’s how some of your anons are sounding. I’m curious what you think as someone who has immigrated to Germany from another country
i mean you basically put my views into words very well here. my issue is the obvious double-standard.
as for ~banning male immigrants~, frankly i think for a side of tumblr constantly saying not dating men is a “pipe dream”, i find it strange that they think any government would ban all males from entering their countries but would allow female immigrants & refugees. as if. i remember when i was struggling to get my visa to come to germany (primarily bc of racist singling out by the visa officers, they apparently do this all the time to women from certain brown countries), i was told by some that germany doesn’t like unmarried women of colour coming to germany bc they think we’ll just find a german man to marry and stay in the country, or that we’ll turn to prostitution.
these governments barely even punish rape to begin with, and y’all think they’d keep men out but let women in in order to protect local women? be realistic. they already discriminate against us in the process. they already tend to prefer young men bc they view them as definite additional workforce, and feel the opposite about young women bc they view us as potential burdens to the system. and they do this even more frequently to women of certain non-european, non-western nationalities. they’ve discriminated against MENA ppl so much that it had to go to court in the past and their discrimination was eventually ruled unconstitutional in germany.
but even ignoring that.. the idea of ‘ban male migrants! ban male refugees’ assumes that no woman ever would be disadvantaged by this further. many women cannot escape if not with male relatives. it’s pretty dangerous to go on a boat and try to reach another country, countless refugees lost their lives like this. female refugees often arrive with family, or went with their family, for a reason. if not with her husband, then potentially with her son, or her brother, or her father. they would also be impacted if they have to choose between leaving alone or leaving with male loved ones. especially considering how protective eastern families can be of women, like some of us have parents that don’t let us go out after a certain time even if we’re obviously adults and can make that choice for ourselves. many eastern women aren’t even allowed to study abroad bc of how possessive and protective our families can be. often males will escape first and then pay money to help their female relatives & loved ones leave more safely after them, often because of how dangerous it is to go by boat to escape. many female refugees already die on the way and there are no efforts to actually safely evacuate female refugees specifically, nor do western governments WANT to do that. the ones that don’t want immigrants & refugees don’t want ANY, they’re not going to limit it to males.
anyways yes, although men of every race & religion commit vile acts of misogyny against women, it’s sensationalised and racialised when men of certain racial backgrounds do it. and apparent “radical” feminists can’t even see past that and question who it will benefit if we argue that certain men are better than others… because that argument certainly won’t protect women, but it does prop up certain men. i thought that’s part of why we all opposed the whole “men of colour didn’t even partake in misogyny until white colonisers came!” argument but i guess not.

asking for help from fellow eu ppl on my dash - jobs, studies, place to live.
apparently the """easiest""" way for yasmin to get a swedish spouse visa would be if both of us leave sweden for 6 months, live in another eu country together as a married couple, and then when we re-enter sweden theres apparently a eu law thing that forces sweden to give her a spouse visa since we were already living together in another eu country. (so this is a legal way for poor ppl to get around the money requirement of the regular swedish spouse visa.)
problem is, it means finding a job or uni studies in another eu country so we can move there. we have no savings, no money. either of us could get a job and then move together, if we found a job (i have basically no resume and no degree, but i am an eu citizen so i dont need a work visa, therefore could theoretically do simple work if im able within my handicap - yasmin prob needs a specialist work visa using her design degree).
uni studies would only work if its free for me in that country (eu citizen), then i could potentially study something for 6 months, and hopefully get student money from the government to pay for food (and we need to find a place with cheap rent). in general this whole concept is really difficult when youre as poor as we are (aka barely money for food rn).
if anyone of you knows that its free for me (eu citizen) to study in your country and if you could help me with finding potential uni classes and a place for us to live for a few months, and help with other questions/info about the moving process, please let me know.
if anyone has tips on jobs yasmin could apply for in your eu country, pls let us know - stuff like concept artist or other related to illustration, design, graphics. (since shes not an eu citizen your country might require her job to be specialist to get a work visa, aka use her design/art skills.) and if you could help us with questions and information about the move and finding a place to live as i said above, pls let us know too.
i really wish we lived in a world where someone of you just happen to have an uncle who runs a farm and could pay me minimum wage to help out at the farm for 6 months, bc i could do that. but those kind of things are impossible to find. i really dont know if we can succeed with this eu spouse concept, but im just trying to look into it as much as i can bc we have so few options.
the easiest option rn would be if she gets a job with her degree in finland bc its nearby and i dont even need to do anything as a nordic citizen, i can move there no questions asked. and then we would be in a eu country together + i dont have to push my disabled health to work hard + its easier to move there bc its close. but we're gonna try to look into all eu countries, even if nordics (easy move for me) or germany (i speak some german) or ireland (since we both speak english) are the most convenient options.
if my posts seem stressed and unhinged thats bc i am!!! i dont want my fiance to be sent back to a shit country at war where there is danger!!!! i dont want to be separated from her at all for any reason either!!!!! we are just having a really really horrible time about how to solve our near future!!!!

Why Consider a Masters Degree in Germany? Exploring the Benefits and Opportunities
Tumblr media
Germany is one of the most popular destinations for international students who want to pursue a masters degree. According to the latest statistics, more than 300,000 foreign students were enrolled in German universities in 2020, making up 13.5% of the total student population. But what makes Germany so attractive for higher education? Here are some of the main reasons why you should consider a masters degree in Germany.
High Quality Education
Germany is known for its excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, as well as humanities, arts, and social sciences. German universities offer a wide range of masters programs, from traditional disciplines to interdisciplinary and innovative ones. Many of these programs are taught in English, making them accessible to international students. Moreover, German universities have a strong reputation in the global academic community, with 44 institutions ranked among the top 500 in the world.
Affordable Costs
One of the biggest advantages of studying in Germany is the low cost of tuition. In most public universities, there is no tuition fee for both domestic and international students, except for a small administrative fee per semester. Even in private universities, the tuition fee is usually much lower than in other countries, such as the UK, the US, or Australia. Additionally, the cost of living in Germany is relatively affordable, especially if you choose to live in a student dormitory or a shared apartment. You can also benefit from various discounts and subsidies for public transportation, cultural events, and health insurance.
Cultural Diversity
Germany is a multicultural and cosmopolitan country, with a rich history and culture. By studying in Germany, you can experience the German way of life, as well as learn about other cultures from your fellow students and professors. You can also enjoy the variety of cuisines, festivals, music, and art that Germany has to offer. Furthermore, you can take advantage of the opportunity to travel around Europe, as Germany is well-connected to other countries by train, bus, or plane.
Career Prospects
A masters degree from a German university can boost your career prospects, both in Germany and abroad. Germany has a strong economy, with many leading companies and industries, such as BMW, Siemens, SAP, and Bosch. As a graduate, you can benefit from the high demand for skilled workers, especially in STEM fields. You can also apply for a job seeker visa, which allows you to stay in Germany for up to 18 months after graduation to look for a suitable job. Alternatively, you can pursue a PhD or a research career in one of the many prestigious research institutes in Germany, such as the Max Planck Society, the Fraunhofer Society, or the Helmholtz Association.
How to Apply for a Masters Degree in Germany?
If you are interested in pursuing a masters degree in Germany, you will need to meet some requirements, such as:
Having a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university
Having a sufficient level of proficiency in the language of instruction (German or English)
Having a valid passport and a student visa (if required)
Having a proof of financial resources to cover your living expenses
Having a health insurance coverage
The application process may vary depending on the university and the program you choose, but generally, you will need to submit the following documents:
A completed application form
A copy of your academic transcripts and diplomas
A copy of your language test scores (such as TestDaF, DSH, TOEFL, or IELTS)
A motivation letter and a curriculum vitae
A copy of your passport and visa (if required)

The application deadlines may also differ depending on the university and the program, but usually, they are:

You can find more information about the application process and the available programs on the websites of the German universities or on the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) website.

Ask for references and testimonials from previous clients and verify their authenticity
Check if the german study consultants are registered and accredited by the relevant authorities, such as the DAAD, the German Embassy, or the Ministry of Education

A master's degree in Germany can be a rewarding and beneficial experience for your personal and professional development. Germany offers high quality education, affordable costs, cultural diversity, and career prospects for international students. However, applying for a masters degree in Germany can be a challenging and complex process, which requires careful planning and preparation. Can you tell us more about you moving abroad?
Are you scared? Excited?
How is the procedure going so far? Which country are you planning to visit?
Sure! I don't mind it haha I'm moving to Germany to do a PhD and a Master's degree. You're probably wondering why both and it's because Argentinian degrees already have a "master" inside it so it's like the master's topics are stuff I've already seen in my "bachelor's degree" in Argentina but I need the master to be taken in PhD in Germany so they made an exception. I'll be working for research in the lab and etc. doing some publications that will later on be part of my PhD while I do a Master's. Of course all this under the speculations that the government of Germany accepts my papers etc.
I'm really excited, I've been working and planning this for a while so I'm really enthusiastic. Basically my last 2 years of my degree were planned on this and this opportunity so I guess I'm excited that it's so close to happen, if it happens.
I've already lived alone since I was 17, I moved over 500 km from my hometown to study at uni so living alone and re-discovering myself in a new environment was a grateful experience when I was 17, can't wait to see what person will I be when I move alone again across the globe with 24.
The only thing I'm scared of is finding a way to bring my cat Taylor with me and money. Moving to a new country implies a lot of money and, at the same time, understanding how much money I will need per month and being fully economically independent since it's impossible for my family to support me economically in this decision.
The process is... dehumanizing and exhausting. I have been sending mails almost everyday; for translation, for certificates, for uni papers, for uni papers in germany, visa stuff, etc. You send a mail and they reply when they please and how they please lol. I think there's a special place in hell for "administrative in universities". To be honest, the hardest part of all this is money, it takes a lot of money and while my family can somehow help me with this part I feel extremely guilty. That's why I had been thinking of doing some art sketches commissions because each penny counts.
So far the decision is permanent if the opportunity is given, I may move permanently to Germany. I won't say forever because you never know but sadly it's been a really harsh past year for me. I finished university, I got my honor degree and be "the top of the top '' in a career that in other countries people are making a bunch of money off and... in my home country I didn't get a single job offer. Plus to that, the economy in Argentina is really delicate and I took this decision also to be able to have a better job or just a job and send money to my family so my mom can finally retire and be calm. She deserves it and I'm willing to do what it takes.
Hahaha sorry for the rambling!
Have a lovely day!
