Fake fic title: The Lonely Garden

the lonely garden

loneliness was techno's favorite thing. because, in a body where voices are screaming at him and forcing him through life, he finds that when nothing is around him, it's comfortable. he's also taken a liking for botany. when he realized that he literally could go wherever he wanted and didn't need to be all isolated in a humans home, he'd immediately packed his life and set off for an adventure. he found being in nature to be soothing and it made everything pleased. it was himself, the voices, and the calm wildlife, unlike when he was with humans.

so he'd settled by a small garden planted beside an abandoned cottage, and he made it his life's duty to tend to the plants. it was a nice hobby and an easy way to get food.

but, of course, humans had to come along eventually.

a boy, brunet and oddly short for a human, begun coming to the cottage often. he never said anything and wasn't very loud, but techno found it very unnerving to have a human--and a child at that, all observant and curious---sit by his cottage and his garden and-----techno's not too happy, that's the sum of it.

after about a month of the boy's presence, techno begins to get irritated. so, so irritated. he can't grow things in his garden because it's too dangerous at night, and the boy comes and goes with the sun.

techno is starving.

but, the hatred lifts up a bit when the kid starts tending to the garden when he's there. and the human has actual supplies and does things way quicker than him. it's a little deflating to see how useless he is compared to a human, but techno'll take it.

tubbo has been going to this cottage for about a month now. he brings his sketch book and sits by the garden. sometimes he doesn't draw though, he's actually got a journal specifically for noting things about the little borrower who seems to live at the cottage.
