Someone pointed out on FRD a while back that Talonok & Fae are the perfect size to cuddle each other, and they were right.

What do you think of some of the new gems in Steven Universe Future? Such as Nice Lapis, Mean Lapis, Cherry Quartz, Rose Quartzes (Shy Rose, Hippie Rose and Superfan Rose), Angel Aura Quartz, Blue Lace Agate, Snowflake Obsidian, Larimar, Biggs Jasper and Ocean Jasper? What about some of those from the games, like Pyrope?

nice lapis: i like her! love the gold freckles, and that she was actually receptive to the message eventually. she would probably be one of Lapis’ followers in CT, and part of her fledgling house, and defect with her down the road to the Fleet as part of her clan.

Mean Lapis: tbh i dont like her much. she’s... well, mean. I don’t want her to be shattered but i would love to see her be truly terrorized, she is just the Worst. basically a total bully. CT mean lapis would initially be a follower of main Lapis, but split with her and remain in the pirates, perhaps taking over her house and administration. likely a genuinely destroyer of worlds and has her powers upgraded to reshaping them more freely.

cherry quartz: we didn’t see much of her but i Love her; she’s big, she’s doing her best, and she’s a bit rough around the edges! CT Cherry, Fleet member, probably not a heroine but a regular civilian. local community leader who still tends to think like a bouncer.

Rose quartzes: I LOVE THEM. needs to be said that rose quartzes are the most common quartz variety in the Fleet, and these three would be fairly prominent. they wouldn’t have any hang ups about their gem type, either. of them all, i like Hippie Rose, she is Big Sexy and super cute. the CT ones would largely follow their behavior in canon, but are just regular fleet citizens, and part of Rose’s extended clan. they would not be considered steven’s siblings, but simply kin as Gems reckon it, both closer and more complicated than human relations. (since the Fleet don’t normally have biological families, ‘sister’ would not be a common thing for Steven to initially think of.) they may have plant-themed powers that manifest in different ways; they fuse a lot itno a giant Rose!

Angel Aura Quartz: ooooh, that’s her name! I love this gal! I love all the quartzes. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. its always a pleasure seeing her in-series! CT her would be a Fleet crewmate, and not one who talks much, but she’s very fun loving, and a bit rough; her hugs can literally break you in half. probably a mom by now. undecided on her power set for now!

blue lace agate: SHE IS MY NEW FAVORITE. I MAKE A SQUEEING NOISE WHENEVER I SEE HER. I LOVE THIS GAL, I LOVE HER SO MUCH. she and the other quartz ladies are totally a multiship. the CT blue lace agate is a leader, as befits her caste, but she’s more a relaxed ‘let them figure it out, it’ll mean more’ kind of leader. she tends to take charge and direct her GFs, so she’s like a mix of garnet and amethyst, in terms of team roles; a leader, but free-flowing.

snowflake obsidian: she big, she has inhuman body proportions, and she is doing her best; of course i like her!! another Fleet member in CT, and possibly a crew-worthy one, and has ice-based powers that allow her to create snow in a variety of complex forms. ranging from soft snow, to ice tougher than metal.

larimar: she’s a bit terrifying, she loves the sound of screaming, and she says the spookiest things with a straight face. of course i love her! she’s got a very distinct design from other gems in general, which i always like. not sure what CT her is like, but she’s probably with the Fleet, and does construction stuff; she designs cities that are as exciting as possible; her streets are roller coasters! u will scream going down them.

biggs and ocean jasper: grouping them together, since they seem to be a bit of a unit, and they are ABSOLUTE UNITS. big chonk strong ladies, i would absolutely let them break me in half and i would thank them. Fleet heroines, the both of them: Biggs has power over stone and soil similar to Earthbending (though she cannot affect pure minerals or metals, and cannot mess with gem cores) while Ocean can control water in ways similar to a lapis, though with more brute force and using it to make armor.

i’ve only played Save The Light, so i can’t comment on ALL the gems in the games (i don’t own a phone or whatever you need to play the recent games). pyrope has a neat design, though!

Hessonite: she’s definitely a fun villain! I don’t dislike her personally, so she hits that right air of ‘wow what a jerk’ while still being entertaining enough that i don’t hate ‘em! A ringer, working for Yellow Diamond’s military as a high tier commander; she directs summoned spirits and monsters, the undead, and other disposable minions. she can divert her own power into light constructs, similar to the Prism. she becomes unfocused and weak if she focuses too much of her power into a few strong minions, and does better by making armies of minions with only a few elite bosses. (She is basically a video game mook maker!)
