Vail couldn’t remember the last time he had been home to Beacon Hills. It wasn’t as though he didn’t want to come home, but between his missions in Iraq and beyond, and in the last few months the Set and Ahmanet of it all, he was unable to come home. It pained him. He missed his sisters, he missed his nephew and niece.

To say he was relieved to see his entire family was an understatement from even before Ahmanet’s time.

He had his camo on, Prodigium gave him a fake passport (not that he was particularly keen on working with them, but Jenny did help him save the world…and Jekyll, that was another matter), and his canvas duffel bag slung over his shoulder.

He took a deep breath as he knocked on his sister’s door, a grin on his face at the prospect of a hint of normalcy again, despite the monster rattling around his head, trying to control him.

Family was what he needed.

FBI Agent Stiles Stilinski returning to Beacon Hills rp, open to anyone.

Keeping a balance after officially becoming an FBI agent had its difficulties. Stiles wanted to strive for success and make a name for himself. Or rather, gain security he can use to keep his father and friends safe. It meant putting in the work and dealing with the cruelty and insanity of the human world.

That didn't mean he wasn't also keeping tabs on the supernatural angles other agents were forced to dismiss.

A new file made its way to his desk that was going to head toward a box in some warehouse and considered a cold case. The clues weren't enough to go much deeper...because it wasn't humanly possible to reach a logical conclusion. Stiles read between the lines and knew it a supernatural creature. He asked his leader if he could take some days to follow some hunches. Stiles has managed enough success with his weird way of thinking that his boss agreed on a limited time frame. If Stiles didn't bring anything new, he would be assigned to a new case.

Stiles agreed. The reason he wanted to dive deeper into this case was because it was far too close to Beacon Hills. And if it nearly had the FBI's attention, then some of his friends were too close and needed a heads up.

He didn't want to worry his dad, so he pulled out his phone and called someone else.

"Hey...it's me. A case landed on my desk, so I'll be back in town to follow up on some leads...can I crash on your couch for a day or two?"

"Here's the thing that doesn't make sense--" No, he was not asked for his opinion on the latest Star Wars trilogy, but he heard 'force', which obviously led his brain to Star Wars, and that reminded him how he had been up late last night watching a video (series) about all the ways the new trilogy went wrong, and now it's all he can think about, so by god, they're gonna deal with this runaway train, too.

"Rey was drawn to the Skywalker lightsaber. Key word: SKYWALKER. And she had a rebel pilot helmet like Luke Skywalker, and she only has this hazy memory of being left on a desert planet--and wouldn't it make sense, if Luke was running away from Ben and all the shit that went down, that he wouldn't want his kid with him? And it's not like there was a Jedi Order telling him he wasn't allowed to have sex, or a family, and we know that Obi-Wan had a little thing with that one chick whose name suddenly escapes me. . .I keep wanting to call her Courtesan, but that's just a fancy word for a prostitute, and I'm pretty sure Obi-Wan's girlfriend wasn't named for a high class lady of the night and. . ." No. He wasn't talking about Obi-Wan. Same line, different tracks.

"MY POINT IS," Stiles said aggressively, forcing himself back to his original train of thought. "Rey was totally set up to be Luke's daughter, and the fact that they had Pruny Palpatine getting any kind of ass is just offensive."

Stiles Stilinski sat at his desk in the dimly lit apartment he had rented just outside of Quantico. Papers were scattered across the surface, a mix of case files, handwritten notes, and hastily sketched maps. His fingers tapped restlessly on the keyboard, his mind racing as it always did late at night. It had been weeks since he'd visited Beacon Hills, but the pull to return was stronger than ever. The FBI kept him busy with cases that demanded his full attention, but something felt off—like an itch at the back of his mind that he couldn’t scratch.

Maybe it was a gut feeling, or maybe he was just paranoid after all he’d been through, but his instincts screamed that something was happening back home. With a sigh, Stiles leaned back in his chair and stared at the phone on the table. Should he make the call? He knew someone would answer, even if it was 3 a.m., and a part of him already knew what they would say. Something was wrong in Beacon Hills—he could feel it.

His frame straightening while his eyes flew right to them, he was trying to sound as stern as possible. His mind racing to the many possibilities of something going wrong, making him throw the idea out of the window almost immediately. In order to leave no room for argument. He was stubborn either way. "I'm coming with ya." He basically confirmed. And before they could react, he turned off his Jeep, grabbing onto the keys to join them.

Isaac was listening to Scott and Stiles banter as they put their gear away after practice, but he wasn't talking to them, and really hadn't said much of anything all day. It was one of those days where he couldn't seem to stop thinking about his dad, which left him in a funk, so he'd tried to keep to himself to avoid hurting the feelings of anyone who didn't deserve it. He was enjoying listening to the idiots bickering like an old married couple, though. It was sort of like having the TV on just so you're not alone with your thoughts in silence.

But Stiles didn't seem content to let Isaac be, and said some bullshit about Isaac's dad not beating social skills into his head. Sure, Stiles was about 90% bullshit (at least when he talked to Isaac), and normally Isaac would just ignore him. But the word choice--

Isaac let out a vicious yell as he grabbed Stiles by his shirt and tossed him into a bank of lockers. Fangs bared and eyes glowing, Isaac picked him up and shoved him into the lockers again. He wasn't sure what he was going to do to Stiles--he hadn't thought that far ahead. All he knew was he just wanted the smartass motor mouth to shut the hell up, for once.
