some further observations about this scene as i rewatched it.

also, the way that Ed's holding his shirt up, exposing more of himself. and the way his blood is trickling down the waistband of his pants. love that little detail.

some other horny details i observed:

Ed collapsing against Stede as his sword pierces him, & Stede's instinct is to wrap his arm around Ed's waist to support him; their faces are close enough to kiss, they're practically panting into each other's mouths.

in this shot (photo by Aaron Epstein), they seem of about equal height here, tho we do see Ed's knees buckle. however, the camera angle in the filmed scene seems to deliberately make it appear that Ed is beneath Stede, a very horny choice, A+++

from the angle of their bodies in this shot & their body language, i would have assumed they were fucking if i didn't know the context of this image. the way Ed looks at Stede like this, pins him under his gaze - Ed's motivations were 1000% horny. this is why i wasn't surprised at all when Ed lists "orgasms" as one of his top 3 reasons to live. Ed's one of the horniest characters i've ever seen, in like - a realistic and believable way (if that makes sense).

Honestly the glimpse we get of Ed's tummy after Stede stabs him is the horniest thing I've ever seen in my life. The way he's panting and moaning and all the other scars where we can see how he's been penetrated so many times before. The way his tummy is heaving with his breaths and his waist looks so perfectly grabbable. Don't even get me started on his little happy trail and the freckles.

They could've shown that man's hole on screen and it would've been less erotic I think
