what i was going to say is that this derelict karma gate in far shore really interests me. i wonder what the difference used to be between the regions, especially since the gate itself is set in what seems to be a large wall-- possibly this side of the retaining wall around the looks to the moon and five pebbles facility? which implies that the west side of far shore used to be part of that facility too, and that moon's facility kind of encroached on chasing wind's, which must have been even smaller back then. the railway at the top of this wall segment also looks like it would connect with the railway at the top of pilgrim's ascent, and maybe even the one in outer expanse-- at the very least they served similar purposes while they were functional, probably shipping resources between cities, using an aboveground rail to cross the wastes between iterator facilities. i wonder if chasing wind says anything about it-- i haven't given them all the pearls from the sunlit trail regions yet, or gotten all of their dialogue for every slugcat, so if anyone knows if they mention the railway or the existence of an old karma gate, please let me know! either way this gate is strange considering that the areas on both sides are pretty much the same ecologically, although there is the caldera to the east-- maybe it used to be larger, or maybe that entire side of the region was formerly volcanic? who really knows. on that note, i do like that the caldera is right next to moss fields, since it makes a lot of sense for a volcanic lake to create such a lush environment. far shore seems more fungal-- perhaps the fungal elements of woven nest on the west side spread to cover more of the landscape?
