Just watched the Scarlet Alibi and the Akai family is such an interesting plotline... if only it hadn't been stretching on for 500+ episodes:/

Also, I know we like to rag on Masumi and Mary for not simply talking to Conan about what's going on - which, fair - but after all, these two have no guarantee that the little boy they met one (1) time a decade ago isn't involved in some shady shit.

Meanwhile Conan, as soon as he realised that they're related, could've just gone to freeloader Akai and been like ‘Hey, your mom and sister are kinda involved in this mess what should we do’ without even mentioning that Mary shrunk.
