[ad_1] SRH Squad for the IPL 2025 (PC: SRH/X) The runners-up of the last IPL season, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), are ready with their 20 players for the 2025 season. They entered the mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a total purse of ₹45 crore, having retained five players for ₹75 crore. In the auction, they added 15 more players to their squad by spending ₹44.80 crore. SRH now have a balanced squad with seven overseas players and 13 Indian players. Pat Cummins will continue as captain, and their aggressive batting style, which worked well last season, will again be key. This time, they have also brought in experienced Indian bowlers, giving the captain more options to work with. Hits Getting a superstar like Mohammed Shami for just ₹10 crore was an absolute steal for SRH. Shami can bowl effectively in all phases of the game, especially in the powerplay and death overs. He is expected to play a crucial supporting role alongside Cummins. Ishan Kishan is another player SRH has placed their trust in. Last season, Rahul Tripathi occupied the number three position, but this year, Ishan might get the chance to revive his career. He is likely to take on the role of an explosive batter at number three. Another key player is Abhinav Manohar, who showcased his power-hitting ability by smashing 52 sixes in just 10 innings during the recent Maharaja T20 Trophy. With Abdul Samad absent this season, Abhinav is expected to step into the finisher’s role at number seven or eight. Harshal Patel, with his vast experience of 105 matches and 135 wickets, will be vital throughout the tournament. His use of cutters and slower balls can make a big difference. Meanwhile, Rahul Chahar is expected to be SRH’s main spinner, likely ahead of Adam Zampa. Last season, SRH struggled due to the lack of a designated spinner, making these additions logical. The squad also includes two promising young Sri Lankans, Kamindu Mendis and Ehsan Malinga. Both have been impressive with their recent performances in international and domestic cricket, making them exciting future investments for Cummins and the team. For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Sunrisers Hyderabad vs DC (Source: X) Misses Unlike last year, SRH now have spinners like Chahar and Zampa in their squad. However, with Chahar’s high economy (9.00 in 2024 in 9 games) and Zampa being an overseas option, it seems they missed an opportunity to secure a reliable Indian spinner. Someone like Ravichandran Ashwin or Yuzvendra Chahal could have been a solid addition. Even a young talent like Manav Suthar might have been an intriguing choice. His recent performances and left-arm orthodox style could have added variety to their attack. Working under the guidance of Daniel Vettori might have further helped him develop his skills. Overall rating: 8/10 Once again, Hyderabad’s foreign players are expected to play key roles this season. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma will aim to provide explosive starts at the top. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who has become a global superstar after his recent international heroics, will carry higher expectations this time. In the middle order, Heinrich Klaasen will be crucial in providing stability and firepower. Cummins is a guaranteed overseas pick being the skipper as well, but the fourth slot will likely be contested between Zampa, Kamindu, or Ehsan. The final choice may depend on match conditions and team strategy. SRH’s batting lineup, known for its fireworks, is again expected to grab headlines. The team will hope to take a significant step toward clinching the IPL trophy this year. On the bowling front, Shami will lead the attack alongside Cummins, forming a formidable duo. Players brought from IPL mega auction: Abhinav Manohar (Rs. 3.20 crore), Atharva Taide (Rs. 30 Lakh), Sachin Baby (Rs. 30 Lakh), Aniket Verma (Rs. 30 Lakh), Ishan Kishan (Rs. 11.25 crore), Brydon Carse (Rs. 1 crore), Kamindu Mendis (Rs. 75 lakh), Harshal Patel (Rs. 8 crore), Rahul Chahar (Rs. 3.20 crore), Jaydev Unadkat (Rs.
1 crore), Simarjeet Singh (Rs. 1.50 crore), Zeeshan Ansari (Rs. 40 lakh), Mohammed Shami (Rs. 10 crore), Adam Zampa (Rs. 2.40 crore), Eshan Malinga (Rs. 1.20 crore). Players retained from last season: Pat Cummins (Rs. 18 crore), Abhishek Sharma (Rs. 14 crore), Nitish Reddy (Rs. 6 crore), Heinrich Klaasen (Rs. 23 crore), Travis Head (Rs. 14 crore). IPL 2024: PBKS Vs DC And KKR Vs SRH Overall Head-to-head; When And Where To Watch
Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket: The second day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will feature a double-header as Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be up against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the newly inaugurated Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, whereas Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.PBKS vs DC: The highly anticipated return of captain Rishabh Pant in the DC jersey will be treat to his fans, as yet once again he will lead the DC. As for Punjab Kings, it is their first match at their new home base in Mullanpur. Kings' previous home ground was the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, where they won just one of their five games in IPL 2023. Overall, Capitals have won 15 of the 32 matches they have played against Kings, but in the last two years, they have won five of six. Match time: The first match of the double header will start at 4:00 PM IST (10:30 AM GMT) with the toss taking place half an hour before the start of the match. Live on Star Sports and Jio. Venue: Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur. Pitch and conditions: Mullanpur came in fourth place among venues with the greatest total scoring rates (8.51) in the 2023–24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (which had a five match cut-off). Approximately 81 yards long are the straight boundaries at this 36th IPL site; however, with the two-bouncer rule that will be in effect this season, the long square boundaries, measuring roughly 74 yards, may be far more important. Though it can be two-paced, the center pitch is probably going to have good bounce. It will be mostly in the early 30°C in the afternoon. KKR vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be lead by their new captain Pat Cummins. Pat Cummins became the most expensive player at an IPL auction when SRH bought him for Rs. 20.5 crore but the record did not survive for even two hours as KKR broke the bank for Mitchell Starc, signing him for INR 24.75 crore. The last time Starc featured in the IPL was in 2015. Playing for RCB, he had picked up 20 wickets in 13 games at an economy of 6.76. Since then, he has gone for 8.14 an over in 41 T20Is. Shreyas Iyer is back as KKR captain after missing the 2023 season. Match time: The second match of the double header will start at 8:00 PM IST (2:30 PM GMT) with the toss taking place half an hour before the start of the match. Live on Star Sports and Jio. Venue: Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata Pitch and conditions KKR won only two out of seven home games last season. Their bowling attack revolved around their spinners but the pitches were not helpful. However, during the 2023 ODI World Cup, Kolkata turned out to be the most spin-friendly venue. Given spin is once again KKR's stronger suit, expect the pitch for Saturday's match to be on the slower side. The temperature will hover around 25°C, with little chance of dew. Hyderabad and Kolkata have faced each other in 25 matches in IPL. Out of these 25 games, Hyderabad have won 9 whereas Kolkata have come out victorious on 16 occasion. Read the full article

Orange cap holder lists in ipl 2023
Orange cap holder lists in ipl 2023: With its exciting matches and outstanding performances, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has captured the attention of cricket fans all around the world. The Orange Cap, given to the player with the most runs scored during the season, is one of the most prestigious awards in the competition. Let's take a closer look at the players who have dominated the batting rankings and worn the coveted Orange Cap as the IPL 2023 takes shape.
The IPL's top run scorer receives the Orange Cap honor, and from the start of the season to the conclusion, different players carry the cap. On many occasions, the team that didn't compete in the championship game or even make the playoffs ended up with the final Orange Cap winner. The IPL is so unpredictable, which makes it both exciting and depressing at times. Here, you can view a year-by-year breakdown of all the IPL Orange Cap winners. All-Time Orange cap holder lists in ipl
IPL Orange Cap 2023: FAQs Who holds the orange cap in the 2023 IPL? Faf Du Plessis, the RCB captain, and opener, has increased his lead at the top of the scorers list with his sixth half-century of the year. His strikeout rate is amazing at 157.8, and he has now scored 576 runs in 11 innings. Jaiswal would take the Orange Cap away from Faf du Plessis after two more runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, a young player for RR, is now second on the list with 575 runs from 12 innings and a strike rate of 167.15. Additionally, the pair will meet up when RR hosts RCB in Jaipur on Sunday afternoon. After the MI vs. GT match, the Orange Cap list underwent a significant modification. After scoring a brilliant 100 against Gujarat, Suryakumar Yadav moved to third place from eighth. Shubman Gill, the GT opener, was replaced by him with 479 runs, moving him to the fourth position. After scoring an unbeaten 94 against LSG in the day's opening match, GT starter Shubman Gill, who has 475 runs for the season, sits in fourth place. Devon Conway, the CSK opener, is presently in fifth place with 468 runs, ahead of RCB's Virat Kohli, who is in sixth place with 420 runs. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad has now passed Jos Buttler and reached the 400-run threshold. David Warner, the captain of DC, shot a quick 54 off 27 to return to the top 10 of the Orange Cap competition. Who had the most 100s in the IPL? Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli, who have each made five hundred in the Indian Premier League (IPL), hold the record for the most centuries ever scored in the league. Virat Kohli, the Indian captain and one of the best batsmen in the world, accomplished the feat in 197 IPL games as opposed to Chris Gayle, the hard-hitting West Indian opener, who scored his five centuries in 135 IPL games. Shane Watson, David Warner, AB de Villiers, and Rohit Sharma, each with four centuries, are among the players who have scored numerous hundreds in the IPL. Which team has the most IPL orange caps? With three winners from each team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are equal for the most Orange Cap winners in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chris Gayle, who won it twice (in 2011 and 2012), and Virat Kohli, who won it three times (in 2016, 2017, and 2019), are two of the Royal Challengers Bangalore Orange Cap winners. Additionally, when playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, AB de Villiers won the award in 2016. David Warner, who has won the Orange Cap three times (in 2015, 2017 and 2019), and Kane Williamson, who won it in 2018, are among the SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) winners. Hyderabad's Sunrisers While participating for the team in 2013, Shikhar Dhawan also received the Orange Cap. To read more blogs – Click Here Read the full article

Wow I never knew the "Head" lore XD.
Regarding Head and Abhishek, can I tell you? (I'm telling you)
So in the 1st match of SRH vs KKR, a guy Harshit Rana from KKR blew a flying kiss to a SRH opener. That garnered loads of interest, and in SRH's 2nd match vs MI, Rohit Sharma mimicked that kiss during the net sessions. So that garnered interest ofc lmao.
And I became interested too. So, on that MI match day, I was getting hella bored, so tuned in to the match, and lo and behold, saw Heady smashing.
I didn't really know which team to support that day, so I was kinda supporting both teams?😂 also didn't like patty and heady, so. But SRH played so so so well, that I just fell in love with them and especially patty lol giggle hihi. They scored 277. That garnered more interest and loads of hate from the fans.
Next, you see Abhi being promoted to an opener, and the Heady and Abhi smashing began. The SRH fans started calling them "Travishek," the SRH insta handle caught on to it, and after the RCB and DC games, they started mentioning them as "Travishek" too in their captions.
NEXT, Heady and Abhishek started posting stories and posts captioning them as "Travishek" and "Long Sleevers Energy" or something.
Then, you see beyond the field also, Travishek sitting together in restaurants and all, then Abhi getting close with Heady's family. Then, Patty commenting on Abhi's profile that he misses him already.
It was so freaking wholesome to see, I tell you. The SRH players Absolutely loved Patty and Heady and respected Patty so much that I need make a separate ask about it lol. Anyway, so that's what gave rise to the "Travishek" . 🥹✨️
omg thankyou i LOVE to learn and talk about heady lore!!!
i FORGOT that the srh social media was literally calling them travishek i screamed the first time i saw that! also the way they got close off the field after getting close on the field... 🥹🥰
i know that overseas players are mostly signed on infamy but i do find it really interesting that heady and patty were signed as a pair, especially when pat was brought in as captain. because travis actually has a lot more captaincy experience than pat (on a domestic level) so i do wonder if that was something they took into account even just a little bit 🤔 heady was chosen to captain south australia at only 21!! like he's their youngest ever captain for gods sake!!
