Chapter 3: Klaus
Five Hargreeves x reader
A/N: I find it sad that many people don't like this story. But to the people who like the story, thank you so much, you have no idea how much it means to me.
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
The photo of Klaus Herschberger set the tone for the next phase of their search. Max and Y/n worked late into the night, building a profile of the man behind the yoga studio. Klaus had settled in Pennsylvania, where his classes catered to anyone seeking “inner peace” or “a trip to the metaphysical beyond.” His studio was decorated with crystals and vague motivational quotes, and he had a reputation for being... eccentric.
Max couldn’t help but smile at the descriptions in the online reviews.
“Sounds like a handful,” Y/n commented, glancing over his shoulder.
“Sounds like Klaus,” Max replied, the name feeling strangely familiar on his tongue.
Y/n noticed the wistfulness in his voice but didn’t say anything. Instead, she patted his shoulder. “We should book tickets. Pennsylvania’s not that far, and it’s better to meet him in person than just stalk him online.”
Max nodded. “You’re right. But this isn’t going to be a simple reunion, Y/n. If he’s like I remember... Klaus is unpredictable.”
Y/n grinned. “Unpredictable? Sounds like a guy I’d love to meet.”
The flight to Pennsylvania was uneventful, though Max spent most of it in silence. Y/n tried to lighten the mood, cracking jokes about how Klaus might be some sort of yoga cult leader, but Max’s mind was elsewhere. He kept replaying fragments of memories: Klaus sprawled on a couch, chattering about ghosts; Klaus taking Drugs; Klaus crying because he is afraid of all these ghosts.
“Max?”
He blinked and turned to Y/n, who was watching him with concern.
“You’ve been staring out the window for ten minutes. What’s going on?”
Max sighed. “I’m just... nervous, I guess. What if Klaus doesn’t remember me? What if I’m the only one who has these memories?”
Y/n reached over and squeezed his hand. “Then we figure it out together. But I’ve got a feeling Klaus will remember. From what you’ve told me, he sounds... unforgettable.”
The yoga studio was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, its bright purple sign standing out against the muted brick buildings surrounding it.
Klaus’s Yoga & Spiritual Healing Center
Y/n tilted her head. “Subtle.”
Max chuckled despite himself. “Classic Klaus.”
They stepped inside, greeted by the scent of incense and a wall of eclectic decorations—tapestries, dreamcatchers, and a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. A small group of people sat cross-legged on mats, listening as a tall man with shoulder length hair gestured animatedly at a whiteboard covered in squiggly drawings.
“Now, remember,” the man was saying, “chakras are like little disco balls inside you. If you don’t keep them spinning, your energy gets all... clogged up. And trust me, nobody wants clogged chakras.”
Max froze. It was him. His eyes were lined with eyeliner and his fingernails were painted, unmistakably Klaus.
Y/n nudged him. “You gonna say something, or just stare at him like a creep?”
Max took a deep breath and stepped forward. “Klaus.”
The man stopped mid-sentence, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Max. For a moment, there was no recognition, just confusion. Then something shifted.
“...Five?” Klaus whispered, his voice cracking.
Before Max could respond, Klaus sprinted across the room and enveloped him in a bone-crushing hug.
“Oh my God, it’s you! I thought I was losing my mind, but it’s really you!” Klaus pulled back, his hands on Max’s shoulders. “Wait, you look... older. Or maybe younger? I don’t know. Time is weird. But you’re real!”
Max couldn’t help but laugh, overwhelmed by the rush of emotions. “Yeah, it’s me. I go by Max now, but... yeah, it’s me.”
Klaus’s eyes flicked to Y/n, who was watching the scene with an amused smile.
“And who’s this?” Klaus asked, wiggling his eyebrows. “Your assistant? Girlfriend? Secret government handler?”
“Y/n,” Max said, his tone warm. “She’s my partner, and the only reason I’m here right now.”
Y/n extended a hand. “Nice to meet you, Klaus. Love the studio. Very... you.”
“Thank you, darling,” Klaus said, shaking her hand. “I’ve worked hard to create a vibe, you know?”
The rest of the yoga class watched the exchange with wide eyes, clearly curious about who Max and Y/n were. Klaus turned to them with a theatrical wave.
“Class dismissed, my lovelies! Remember to keep those chakras spinning!”
They spent the afternoon catching up, sitting in the back room of the studio. Klaus brewed them tea—though Max suspected it was laced with something more potent—and shared his story.
“I thought I was going crazy,” Klaus admitted, his usual bravado faltering. “The memories started when I was still a child. Little things at first—faces, names, this overwhelming sense of loss. But when I saw you, it was like a floodgate opened. I remember everything, Five. The Academy, the apocalypse, all of it.”
Max nodded, relief washing over him. “You’re not crazy, Klaus. I’ve been having the same memories.”
Y/n watched the exchange quietly, fascinated by the dynamic between them. There was a raw honesty in the way they spoke, a bond that seemed unbreakable despite the years—and lifetimes—that had passed.
“So what’s the plan?” Klaus asked, leaning back in his chair. “Are we reuniting the gang?”
“That’s the idea,” Max said. “But I don’t know if the others will remember like we do.”
“They’ll remember,” Klaus said with certainty. “Trust me, you don’t forget something like our family.”
Max smiled, a small but genuine expression. “Then let’s find them.”

for starters, I love your writing so so much! i have a bunch of request ideas but won't overwhelm you too much, but one concept I had was modern mizu x spiritual reader? if that isn't too much of a problem, like maybe the reader is into witchy stuff and believes in the universe and signs, and practices magick? like just imagine mizu walked in their apartment and there are just little altars, and the reader does little cleansing rituals, and gives mizu little 'spell jars' and is just so in tune with nature and I am wondering how you think Mizu would react? i was scrolling on tiktok and saw a video and got the idea, and if you are okay with writing that I think it'd be silly seeing how mizu thinks of it (in a positive light probably?) hcs would be preferred :)

Mizu with a Spiritual/Witch Reader
Anon- this is brilliant. I had to write this down as soon as I saw this.
I tried to incorporate as much as I could remember from when I was a practicing witch, as well as doing additional research to double check it. I just did some general things but I hope you like it!
Also again: requests are open for both headcanons and longer writing prompts. Those who have submitted- I’m working on them! 🐰🙏
Enjoy!
I don’t think Mizu 100% gets it, but understands some of it
When you two had met, and after talking for a bit, you casually mentioned how you knew you would get along with Mizu because you had done a reading (a tarot reading) that morning and were expecting new beginnings
And new beginnings she was- you two started dating after talking for a few weeks.
During the first few weeks of dating, you would gift her small candles (which you explained the colors meant different things- many of which you gifted her were blue- which apparently meant peace of mind and good fortune- both things she needed)
You would also give her gemstones- rose quartz (if you know- you know 😉), Citrine, selenite, and amethyst
and even one time a aquamarine- since you claimed it reminded you of her eyes
At first she kinda brushed off the comments and didn’t think much- she knew you had to be some sort of witch, but didn’t really mind and didn’t understand the extent of it
Until she walked into your apartment for the first time-
“You’re like a crow” Mizu would blurt out after entering your apartment and seeing the crystals, the herbs in pots that littered the window seal, the hanging tapestry’s, and that didn’t even mention the multiple windchimes that hung throughout the apartment that casted rainbows on the walls of the sun hit it just the right way
Mizu can see it already on a sunny afternoon- the windows open, light filtering in, the scent of your candles and herbs around her- it was a comfort she couldn’t quiet place
“A crow???” You look at Mizu not offended, but more confused- this snapped Mizu back to present day as she realized what she had said
“I mean- I misspoke-“ Mizu is now flustered. She didn’t mean it negatively but more like an assessment of the surroundings.
It reminded her of a birds nest with how cozy your home was, and she once heard that crows like to collect shiny things- and give it to people- much like you. The connection had just popped up into her head really.
She sees it not as just some hobby, but that it was a part of you and important to you
The occasional prayers to whoever your deity is (if you have one) has become a regular occurance for her and actually, she tries to be as respectful as she can be
Mizu joins in occasionally in whoever you are praying to- even if most of the time not knowing-
She also can’t turn to you mid session and ask who you are praying to because that might be rude to interrupt
One time, Mizu walked into your apartment (she had had a rough day), and you stopped her at the welcome mat before she could walk further into the apartment
“I sense bad energy on you…” you calmly state “stay there-“ and you ran into the kitchen and returned with an egg
“Ummm… do I need to eat this?” A giggle erupted from you
“No- you need to roll it all over you to get rid of the bad energy. If we crack it and the yolk is cloudy, it means it worked” yeah cause that made more sense than eating the egg- Mizu thought- but she still let you roll the egg all over her before cracking it open and finding the yolk cloudy as you said.
“There! See?” You showed her and she simply hummed out a thank you and kissed you on your head.
She really adored everything- from your alters to the small jars you would gift her on special occasions or just because you felt like it- she cherished each and every thing.

The Spirit
Prologue Ch1 Ch3
Pairing: Older! Neteyam x reader
Summary: now that the war was brought to the sea clans the sullys aswell as the metekayina family that gifted them uturu, decided to run, this time farther, not just a days travel, but nearly a weeks worth, towards the end they were met with dense mountains, and then they found a tribe of navi, with wings, and they learn about the tsyal people and about the original navi.
Warnings: none, use of non cannon na’vi words
Word count:2.5k
Notes: i mainly focus on world building and what the tsyal clans traditions and ways of living are so it’s probably a bit boring but i hope you guys like it 💋
Tumblr media
The first morning after their arrival the forest and reef na’vi were gathered by Tehe’Ewna “Today will be your first impressions of the clan for today we are going to take you to the cove of tales, if you want to live among us you must understand us, learn our core values, our way of life, our stories, and our traditions. These are things that will be essential to living among us and being able to adjust.” Tehe’Ewna even spoke with grace, her words flowing together in a melody, “this will take up your first week before we move on to having you learn our ways physically, though before body must come spirit.”
As she explained what the plan was he became curious. when the sully’s had arrived to the metkayina it was almost immediately he was learning to breath to dive and to live in the water, there had been little to no spiritual teachings other than going to the cove of ancestor’s since most clans had nearly identical spiritual practices, it made Neteyam wonder just how different this clan was.
It was not a long walk to the cove, it was a relatively short path from the ground caves that were their new homes to the deeper part of the clan where the entrance was located at the base of one of the surrounding mountains.
inside was narrow winding tunnel also relatively short, it widened as they got closer to the destination and inside was a circular cave clearing in the mountain, the entrance itself was accentuated by a winding arch of vines.
There was a semi-circle of stones meant to be seating for times of storytelling, there were carving in the stone, intricate details, and the entirety of the cove was adorned with bioluminescent moss and fauna, illuminating the cove in an ethereal glow.
Woven tapestries hang along the rock walls of the cove alongside paintings, depicting stories and the history of the clan.
Small altars are placed at the base of a waterfall and along the edges of the cove.
Neteyam was awestruck, there was nothing like this in the metkayina nor the Omaticaya, as they all took seats the winged na’vi began “this is used as a home of stories and celebration, today we start at the beginning, the oldest and deepest of our tales, the phoenix.”
As she spoke, she drew their attention to the largest of paintings. from the back of someone, they were depicted with wings that were bigger than a young Ikran, horns taller than Neteyam’s head twice over, their wings were starched out to the fullest capacity, and they had a glow around them, small tendrils of magic.
“She was the first daughter of Eywa, she was created to keep the balance of Eywa’Eveng gifted with wings to soar through the skies and a soul deeply attuned to the life force that connected all things. For ages, she upheld her purpose, nurturing the natural balance and guiding the creatures Eywa had brought to life. But her loneliness became a persistent ache, leading her to yearn for beings who could walk, speak, and share her life in a way that Eywa’s animals could not. Among her wings and horns she was given a gift from Eywa above all else, she didn’t just protect balance, she was balance, in one hand she held life and creation, in the other she held death and destruction, so she went against the great mothers wish, and used this gift to birth the Tsyal and the na’vi race,”
the group was in awe, this was a tale they had never heard from any clan or elder, but they could sense she was being truthful in her words, “we were unlike anything Pandora had seen: graceful, intelligent, with wings and horns that reflected our creator. The Phoenix infused us with her wisdom, courage, and resilience, believing we would be her partners in upholding Pandora’s balance. Eywa, sensed this break in the natural order, grieved at the Phoenix’s defiance. She reminded her daughter that every life on Pandora was interconnected and that introducing a new species—one not woven directly by Eywa’s own hand—would create ripples in the delicate web of balance she maintained. Though Eywa did not destroy the Tsyal, she distanced herself from the Phoenix, trusting that her daughter, who was made from balance itself by the great mother’s own hand, would face the consequences” as she spoke, she had an air of passion, immersed in the story she told.
“This choice left the Phoenix with a profound sense of guilt. She had been created to nurture and protect the balance of Pandora, yet her own actions had introduced a new force within the ecosystem, one that came from her personal desires rather than Eywa’s vision. She had been driven by passion and yearning. We as a people were born of blessing and burden so intertwined one cannot be separated from the other, because of this the Tsyal dedicate ourselves in nurturing the balance, we address any imbalance such as over population personally, we always remain in tune with Eywa insuring to never go against her wish for balance and equilibrium. Every aspect of life has been cultivated to ensure this.” They were all captivated by this story no one more that Kiri.
“why would the phoenix go against Eywa if she was made to carry out the great mothers wishes?” Neteyam wondered the same of the first daughter, “she did not mean to, she was led by desire, and while she was creating to keep balance, she was also given free will, to make her own decisions apart from Eywa, just like us, while people can tell us what to do it is up to us whether we follow their words or not” she had a look of amusement on her face as if telling a clueless child something painfully obvious, which she essentially was.
“is she was the first daughter why have none of us heard this before?” Tuk was the next to speak, “Well as we grew, we left these mountains, to dense forests, swamps, and plains, our horns and wings were no longer needed, disappearing over many generations, we were met with new environments, and we adapted.” She had a gentle smile as she spoke her response “and it was not just wings and horns that were left behind, so were traditions, annual celebrations, and festivals. All of these were left behind in the face of change, and the new beginnings they faced.”
The day was spent like that, her sharing the traditions and ways of the new clan, it took Neteyam by surprise, he learned things he had never known, she was right, every aspect of life was in line with balance, never taking more than necessary and dedicating themselves to Eywa.
As the week continued, he learned more of the clan. The diet was plants grains and little meat usually from small animals, fish was a delicacy saved for celebrations and major events. He learned mating traditions, what is done in grief and death, and at the end of the week they were taken to the spirit tree, to them it is the Kaltum cave, or the heart of Eywa
Tumblr media
The day started earlier than usual with extra people, a warrior Taylan, a healer Xan ’kore, and a group of younger ones, Kahlo, At’ok, and Ni’alu. In the outskirts of the clan was located a mountain so tall no Ikran, not even Makto could fly over it, there was an entrance at the base of the tunnel that had shocked Neteyam when it was revealed because of just how well hidden it was, as they entered there were winding tunnels with steep incline, he ended up holding Tuk so she wouldn’t fall.
as they were walking the healer spoke “the sacred tree embodies the balance of nature and spirit, it is said the phoenix herself planted the seed, marking the birth of the na’vi and so that it would forever be a reminder of the importance of balance.” She spoke from the front of the group; he was in the back along with Tuk and Tehe’Ewna.
Over the week he had gotten to know her better, he would often accompany Tuk to her lessons with the other children of the clan Tehe’Ewna and others there to be the teachers, they would weave and do crafts to entertain the children.
Surprisingly Tehe’Ewna was curious of the previous two clans Neteyam had called home, she would tell him more about the clan and rituals and other things he would need to know, Tuk also took a great liking to her, constantly asking questions and the three of them exploring the mountains with him and Tuk on his Ikran.
As they descended the tunnels him Tuk and Tehe’Ewna in a slower pace then the rest, a little behind. And while Neteyam was at least a head above her when walking her wings surrounded him, at first when they would go for walks in the forest with Tuk she would try to restrain them and prevent them from making him uncomfortable, she quickly saw he didn’t mind and that she was able to relax and not dwell or focus on them.
After about 15 minutes of walking the tunnels, like the cove of tales, became wider and taller, only what they lead too was infinitely more beautiful.
Inside the circular cavern was full of luminescent fungi and moss with crystals imbedded in the walls, but in the middle held The Kaltum Tree, its trunk tall and gnarled, with a wide base that tapers as it reaches higher, giving the tree a presence that feels ancient and wise.
The bark luminous, etched with patterns that resemble constellations, giving it a celestial appearance.
These patterns glow softly, only adding to the beauty of it, The branches extend upward and outward like great, feathery wings, These branches are draped with clusters of bioluminescent flowers Each one emitting a warm, radiant glow that casts colorful shadows on the cave walls, making the entire cavern come alive with shifting colors.
The leaves of the Kaltum Tree are long, thin, and iridescent, shimmering like jewels when touched by the ambient light of the cave. When they rustle in the faint underground breezes, they make a soft, musical sound, like chimes, enhancing the mystical ambiance.
The branches stretch wide and high, filling the cavern with a protective, sheltering presence, it brought the phoenix to the front of his mind, imagining this is how her presence would feel.
The air feels warm and carries a faint, sweet fragrance from the tree’s blossoms, the entire atmosphere was full of energy, it made him speechless, the spirit tree back home and the cove of ancestors was one thing, this place was so much more.
“When one feels they must reflect, or receive guidance this is where we go, many receive visions during the path for self, seeing glimpses of their place in the clan, what their future may hold, and even their mate.” Tehe’Ewna spoke to the group she herself in wonder.
“This is the most sacred place in these mountains, we call it the heart of Eywa because people sometimes receive visits from the great mother herself, to show the path she is intending for you to follow, most end up legends, their stories told for generations.”
In the Omaticaya, not everyone faces Iknimaya, you are given challenges to prove your worth as a warrior, you must catch a banshee, in the Tsyal, all are faced with the Yulun’ay, the journey to self.
There are six total aspects of the journey, the first is the journey of reflection, you spend about a week strengthening your bond with Eywa, you journey into the mountains facing the elements, and learning to sustain life, while keeping balance.
The second is the crafting of the totem, this is crafted during their time in the mountains from what they can find, branches, stones, feather, leaves etc. it is meant to reflect oneself, their personality, and their journey. Once they come back to the clan, it is blessed by Tsahik and is placed in the cove until it is put in their home as decoration.
The third is the sacred marking, much like the metkayina, they are inked, like the walls of the cove, their skin imbedded with ink from burnt herbs, so that when they have children and grandchildren they can point to it and say “this is from my Yulun’ay”, it also marked them, in their role as a protecter of the balance.
The fourth is the gift of wings, in the Kaltum parent and close loved ones give gifts, titled as a Nah’ru, wings of spirit, they serve as representation of life, freedom, and guidance, and as a reminder of the new stage of their life, once the person has all their gifts the family member all put their hands on their gift, infusing it with their love, and support.
The fifth is the yalaru, the dance of transition, it is a communal celebration of the clan, the participant performs a dance, telling the story of their journey to the clan, symbolizing their passage into adulthood. Elders and parents join in, creating a unified circle that represents the past, present, and future of the Tsyal.
The last step the sixth is the acceptance of responsibility, in a private ceremony in the Kaltum, you pledge to serve and protect the Tsyal Clan and keep the balance of Eywa’Eveng. It is said to bind them spiritually, many say that they feel as though the tree itself acknowledges the commitment, then you are to choose a path, crafters, hunters, healers, or spiritual guides, then a mentor will choose to teach you how to follow the path.
It is entirely different, almost completely a spiritual journey, instead of proving your ability to provide, to hunt, to fly, you become Intune with Eywa, reinforcing your belief of balance, Tehe’Ewna told him that balance is more than just taking and giving, it is existence itself, dark and light for example, one cannot exist without the other, no light without dark, and vice versa.
This is their way of life, something taught from birth to death, imbedded in everything they do, their ways have been evolved to continue to uphold balance in every aspect.
Tehe’Ewna made an example for them, connecting to one of the lower falling leaves to connect their kuru with
Connecting with the Kaltum is was euphoric, he felt only peace, he could feel the souls, the memories, the hopes, the dreams, the love, of all the souls connected to the tree, he felt Eywa, and the phoenix, the feeling of protection, of home, filled his system, he was floating, drifting away from the cove, the people around him, in that moment he was intertwined completely with the ancestors, with all the life on Eywa, we was nothing, yet he could feel everything, like a dreamless sleep.

Morning Routine
Ghetsis creaks his eyes open slowly, groggy from sleep and probably from his sleeping medication wearing off. He sits up, rubbing off the sleep collected around the edges of his eyes, no blanket in sight. Glancing over, he sees Alder hogging up all the blankets by basically cocooning himself inside them. Ghetsis smiles, it's kinda cute, you can see his hair sticking out from the top of the blankets, making him look like an oddly shaped Larvesta. Normally people would be upset about that kind of thing, but to be fair on his behalf, Ghetsis has paper thin skin, his body temperature is more susceptible to changes and that causes him to overheat quickly during the night. So having a blanket stealer is actually a pleasant thing rather than an annoyance.
He glances at the clock; 6:05 AM, by the time he's done doing his normal routine it'll be around 7, which is the time the kids would normally get up. Ghetsis pauses, glancing around the room for a moment. Sweet Atropos, sleeping all curled up at the end of his bed. Most people would be pretty strict on letting their companions sleep in the same bed as them, let alone a 5 '11 fluffy dragon, but they underestimate how ridiculously large his bed is. His bed alone stretches 108 x 108, that's enough to fit four grown adults! Why did he need such a big bed? Well, why not? He had the option to, so he did, but maybe he should've thought a little more harder about whether or not he should…
Honestly? As he's looking round his room, he's happier with the state it's gotten to. He recalls when his room used to be this pearly white, sterile, polished room, no dust in sight nor anything out of place… But now? He can see a few tapestries Alder had made laying about or hanging on the walls, the man's stuff littering the room is a disorganized mess, nothing calculatingly placed to make it look as neat as humanly possible… It's so comforting, it's so warm and cozy in here now, he had long become tired of basically living in a hospital-like room. On the wall beside him lies a dreamcatcher resting above his bed, a fairly large one, but to be fair it was made with Braviary feathers, Alder had insisted he make one for the room after being on the tail-end of one of Ghetsis' nightmare spells.
-
Ghetsis takes a stroll into the forest that rests within the valley, spotting a few feeders filled with nectar sitting within the trees for the bug type Pokémon living within. Usually he takes his strolls to the overarch bridge where the Swanna swim, finding solace with the swans, but he finds that he'd much prefer walking among nature this time. Along the nature walk he comes across a clearing, spotting Alder sitting cross legged on the grass, seemingly focused on something in his hands. Ghetsis approaches, a few of the bug type Pokémon sitting with Alder turn to look at him, bending over to look at what the man has in his hands.
"What are you doing?" "I'm making a dreamcatcher." A Galvantula rests next to him, spinning out some web that Alder is using to thread around the round piece of wood. A few Braviary feathers are placed on his sprawled out poncho beside him as well, along with a fairly sizable bead of rose quartz. "Oh? My, I haven't seen one of those in years, they were always too colourful and plastic-y for my tastes." Ghetsis sits down beside the man, peering over at his work, Alder scoffs and snarls. "I'm not making one of those cheap ass appropriated pieces of garbage, I'm making a real fucking dreamcatcher." Ghetsis tills his head, humming a sound of curiosity. "Appropriated? How so?"
"Dreamcatchers were made by my people, they're sacred to us as talismans, as symbols of spiritual protection. But when it became more widespread because of the movement, it became watered down into this cheap plastic wall hanger thing you hang up on some random wall in your room to 'catch bad dreams.' Now every bitch and their Boltund has one in their house as an 'aesthetic piece.' You can shove your aesthetic piece bullshit up your ass, my traditions aren't something you can just take and fucking exploit." Ghetsis nods along carefully, letting Alder get all his steam out. "Would you like to tell me about the tradition?"
Alder pauses and looks Ghetsis in the eye, looking for any form of trickery or sign he's making fun of him, but only to find sincerity. Alder turns his head back down to his work, "The history behind them really depends on the tribe, but I was taught the story associated with Asibikaashi." "What's the story associated with… Um." Alder hums, focused on his work without looking away for a moment. "Asibikaashi." Ghetsis nods, "Yes, that. I'm sorry, truly, I don't wish to butcher it by trying to say it…" He shrugs, dismissive. "It's fine. Asibikaashi provided our tribes with spiritual protection, however when our tribes began to expand and grow, the task became far too difficult for her to provide protection to those who had migrated to farther lands. So she created the dream catcher and taught it to all of the mothers and grandmothers within our tribes, so she could protect them from a distance."
Ghetsis kept quiet, he had probably been itching to talk about his culture for a while now. Besides, he finds this sort of stuff to be very interesting. "They were designed to keep bad dreams, nightmares, and evil away from sleepers and especially our children. The air at night is filled with dreams, both good and bad, so these catchers would obviously catch them. The good dreams are able to slip through and softly descend down the catcher's feathers and to the sleeper, while the bad ones would get caught and trapped within the web, only to be burned when the sun's light would hit the catcher." Alder gestures to his assortment of feathers, "Hence the feathers. It's also why dreamcatchers are placed above beds and in cradles, so the good dreams could slip through and reach you. Having it anywhere else basically makes it fucking useless, not like that detail matters to people though."
Ghetsis hums, "What about the bead?" "That also depends on the person, but I personally believe it symbolises the spider." Ghetsis pauses for a moment, confused. "Spider?" Alder softly laughs, pausing his work to pet the Galvantula next to him, who chitters happily at the attention and affection. "Spiders are scary to a lot of people, but to us they are a symbol of protection and comfort. Asibikaashi is also commonly referred to as the 'Spider Lady' or 'Spider Grandmother'. Our dream catchers are usually made with woven string or sinew, but with this lovely guy around I can make one with actual spider string. Galvantula webbing is incredibly strong, so I'm not worried about it breaking." "Oh! That makes sense, why rose quartz?" "Rose quartz was valued by my people for its healing properties, also I just like rose quartz." Ghetsis nods, "Fair enough."
A comforting silence washes over them, Ghetsis watching Alder thread the string, slip on the bead, then continue to thread the string into a gorgeous pattern. It was mesmerizing to watch his hands move so effortlessly, years of doing this evident is his ease in threading the pattern. "So, are you making one for any particular purpose?" "It's for you." Ghetsis pauses, again confused, looking at Alder with an odd look. "You're making a dreamcatcher for me?" "Mhm." "… Why?"
"Well, you have nightmares. I want to help any way I can with that, even if it's theoretically small." Guilt immediately floods Ghetsis, he feels bad, he shouldn't be doing this for him. "Oh, you don't have to-" "I'll just stop you right there." Alder cuts him off, looking at the other man with a stern gaze. "I know you're going to go on about how I 'shouldn't do this' and that 'it's fine' as if I'm not doing this out of my free will. Nobody's forcing me to do this, you're not forcing me to do this, I want to help you, Ghetsis. Let me try and help you." It goes quiet again, the pair just staring at each other in silence. Ghetsis breaks the silence first, looking down and letting out a soft "okay…"
Alder goes back to his project, beginning to tie the feathers to the hanging string. It takes a few seconds, but Ghetsis eventually rests his head on the other man's shoulder, relaxing himself. "… Thank you."
-
He loves that dreamcatcher, every time he enters his room and sees it hanging above his bed he gets a soft fuzzy feeling, it never gets old. Ghetsis pulls the blanket around Alder gently and pushes back his hair, kissing the man's forehead, who groans and stirs at the contact. Ghetsis giggles quietly, getting out of bed and into his bathroom connected to his bedroom. Grabbing the glass on the sink, he opens up his mirror and fetches his migraine medication and antidepressants, taking them with a gulp of water from the glass. Then he undoes his bonnet to reveal his braid, which he also undoes. He had tried to get Alder to wear a bonnet to bed, but he just never seemed to like it unfortunately. His hair doesn't take long to do, he finds it's much easier to take care of now after he chopped most of it off.
Entering back into his room, he puts on a normal and simple dress shirt and black pants as quietly as he can so as to not wake up the oddly shaped Larvesta. Slowly, he exits out of his room and makes it towards the kitchen, cracking his knuckles and flexing his injured hand.
He begins on making the batter for pancakes, cutting up some strawberries and oran berries to put into the mixture. With a dash of butter on the pan now being melted, he pours the first pancake, being very careful to make the size absolutely perfect. He gets about a plate done before the first child walks into the kitchen, N stretches as she yawns. "Morning, Dad." She goes up to hug him, Ghetsis kissing the top of her head. "Good morning, my dear. Did we sleep well?" He shrugs, grabbing the plate and fetching the syrup from the pantry. "As good as I'm ever going to get it, I suppose." "Well, something is better than nothing, sweetheart." As Ghetsis finishes making the last few pancakes, placing five plates of them on the table, Concordia and Ambrose walk in.
"Good morning, dad!" They both say, squeezing their father, who promptly squeezes them back the best he can without irritating his arm, kissing the tops of their heads. "Good morning, my dears. How are we?" "I'm good!" Concordia beams, smiling, Ambrose nods. "Yes, I'm good as well." "That's lovely, my dears. Pancakes are on the table waiting for you, say hi to your brother." The pair go down to sit at the table, Ambrose waving at N. "Mornin, Nat." Concordia says, seating herself at the table, N hums, mouth full of pancake. "Mornin, Connie."
Ghetsis rests himself against the counter, crossing his arms, waiting. He knows it going to happen, he's not letting himself get toppled over this time, any minute now… Suddenly, the three kids left missing from the table teleport in, tackling their father in a tight hug. "Hi, Dad." Hebe says softly, speaking for her brothers on their behalf. "Hello, my darlings, how are we? Did we sleep well?" The three nod, "That's good, go sit down with your siblings please, pancakes are on the table."
Ghetsis gets started on his own breakfast, which takes much longer than his children's. As the triplets sit down and begin to dig into their breakfast made with love, Ambrose notices something. "I like your nails, Hebe, did you just do them?" The mentioned girl looks away bashfully, "Thank you, Rose. Yes, I did them last night, I wanted to try something different…" Concordia interjects, "Yeah, I agree! They suit you, Hebe." She laughs, nudging N teasingly. "Say, maybe you should paint yours something colourful like that." Natural snorts, "Ha! In your dreams! I think I'll stay with black, thank you." Connie deflates, pouting, "Boo. You're no fun." The pair stick their tongues at each other like children.
"Your eyeliner looks nice today, Nat." Natural lights up, "Thank you, Hebe! I swear, some days it just never wants to look right for me, happy to know today isn't one of those days." Meanwhile, Hephaestus taps his nail onto the table, directed at Ambrose. He looks up and Hephaestus signs something to him, Ambrose's eyes lighting up in recognition. "Oh, yeah. Here you go." He says, passing the syrup to Hephaestus, who signs a 'thank you' in response.
By the time Ghetsis was done with making his, the kids had already finished. All six of them come together to crush their father's ribs and lungs in a joint hug before leaving to tend to whatever they decided to do that day. Ghetsis places down his breakfast on the table, covering it with a tub so it stays warm while he cooks the last breakfast of the morning. Fetching his face mask, he pulls out a few things of raw meat out of his second fridge, yeah, Ghetsis is a man who owns two kitchen fridges, and starts placing them in the pan to cook.
He gets all the bacon and a few sausages done because he feels arms wrap around his sides and a face being pushed into the crook of his neck. He smiles, threading his hand through Alder's hair without looking up from the pan. "Good morning, my love." Alder groans, pushing himself right up against his back, looking over his shoulder. "Hi, baby… What cha makin'?" His voice is deep and husky from just waking up from sleeping, horrifically sexy but he must push through it and stay strong. "Sausages, bacon, and eggs with a side of toast and baked beans."
Alder moans, kissing the other man's neck with affection, he's always so soft and clingy in the mornings. "Fuck, you treat me so well… I love you so much, you're so perfect…" Ghetsis smiles, amused, "Mhm." Eventually however, Alder begins to get a bit more risky with his neck kisses, causing the other man to pause. Ghetsis whips around and smacks Alder on the hand. "Ow! Hey!-" Ghetsis points a finger at his face, "No! Bad! Absolutely not! I can't let you keep giving me hickies every morning! My followers are becoming suspicious over why I'm wearing turtle necks all the time!"
Alder frowns, "Nevermind actually, I changed my mind. You're actually terrible to me and you hate me." Ghetsis scoffs, turning back to the pan. "Oh, tell your woes to somebody else, maybe somebody who'll actually care." A moment of silence goes by, Ghetsis sighs, "You can continue to hug me and kiss me, just try not to give me a hickey, please." Immediately he feels the other man latch back onto him with a sly smile. "Aw, you love me." Drawing out the last word, Ghetsis scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Indeed, but I also think you're a huge pain." Alder nuzzles into him, his stubble tickling Ghetsis' neck. "Thank you for making me breakfast, I love you." Ghetsis lets out a sigh of defeat, having lost this battle. "I love you too."

WOOO YEAAHH!! this was wonderful thank you!! admittedly i don't know as much as id like about native american cultures (been working on changing that, albeit slowly), and im not native myself, so i obviously cant comment on how accurate it is or isnt. but it does look like you put a good amount of effort into research which is neat :) tbh i got a little nervous seeing dreamcatchers being brought up just cause i think everyone knows atp how severely those have been appropriated for cheap souvenirs 💀 im glad it didn't go that way
everything else was adorable. im biting n. and ghetsis for that matter . the triplets are super cute and i wanna see more of them asap (is it just me or has the triad had a resurgence lately. i never did anything with those guys actually but i am LIVING for it)

Yokohamabashi's Produce Tapestry: Chinese Influence and Japanese Traditions
Location: Yokohamabashi, Minami Ward, Yokohama, Japan Timestamp: 17:47 on December 19, 2023
Fujifilm X100V with 5% diffusion filter ISO 1000 for 1/125 sec. at ƒ/6.4 Provia/Standard film simulation
Numerous produce shops grace the entirety of the Yokohamabashi Shotengai shopping arcade. Through the years, a distinct pattern has emerged – the proprietors of these shops predominantly fall into two categories: Japanese or Chinese.
Japanese-run establishments specialize in high-end or bespoke produce cultivated in Japan. Their prices reflect not only the superior quality of the items but also the elevated level of customer interaction and the overall presentation of the shop. These pricier fruits aren't intended for personal consumption but rather as opulent gifts, boasting near-perfect shapes, enticing aromas, exquisite flavors, and impeccable textures.
In contrast, Chinese-run shops prioritize cost-cutting measures by procuring produce in bulk, often sourced from both domestic and predominantly overseas growers. The experience of shopping at these more affordable stores carries a distinct ambiance, but the silver lining is the opportunity to provide substantial savings for your family's food budget.
The Tsunokami Produce Shop, featured in this photo, stood out to me with its large traditional Japanese curtain adorned with red and white stripes and the words "ouridashi," which translates to "big sale." Interestingly, the shop has been hanging this banner daily for over 7 years, despite not actually having a big sale. However, for first-time visitors, the low prices compared to typical supermarket prices might come as a pleasant surprise.
What caught my eye at this shop wasn't the low prices, but the large red and white banner, known as "kohaku-maku" (紅白幕) in Japanese. Kohaku-maku is a traditional decorative fabric panel with vertical red and white stripes. The term "kohaku" derives from "ko," meaning "red," and "haku," meaning "white." The Japanese have long considered this kohaku pattern a symbol of happiness. Specifically, red symbolizes peace and prosperity, while white represents spiritual and physical purity.
I have seen kohaku-maku hanging on the wall or in the background of formal occasions such as graduation ceremonies, groundbreaking ceremonies, new store openings, wedding ceremonies, and New Year’s parties. Additionally, I have seen the banner used at less formal occasions like outdoor tea ceremonies, local summer festivals, and local cherry blossom viewing parties to demarcate or decorate a space.
Google Maps links to Tsunokami, references for further reading, and source materials can be found at the latest blog post at pix4japan: https://www.pix4japan.com/blog/20231219-yokohamabashi

Sacred Geometry Wall Art: A Fusion of Beauty and Mysticism
Introduction
Sacred geometry wall art is more than just decorative pieces—it is a visual representation of the universal patterns that govern existence. From ancient temples to modern homes, these intricate designs have been revered for their spiritual significance and aesthetic appeal. Whether you're drawn to the Fibonacci spiral, the Flower of Life, or the Metatron's Cube, sacred geometry wall art offers a unique way to bring harmony, balance, and deeper meaning into your living space.
In this article, we’ll explore the history, symbolism, and modern applications of sacred geometry wall art, as well as how you can incorporate it into your home or workspace.
The History and Significance of Sacred Geometry
Ancient Roots in Spirituality and Science
Sacred geometry has been a cornerstone of many ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians, Greeks, and Hindus. These cultures believed that geometric patterns were the building blocks of the universe, reflecting divine order.
Egyptians used sacred geometry in the construction of pyramids, aligning them with celestial bodies.
Greeks, particularly Pythagoras, studied geometric ratios and their connection to music, astronomy, and philosophy.
Hindus and Buddhists incorporated mandalas—a form of sacred geometry wall art—into meditation practices.
Symbolism in Sacred Geometry
Each geometric shape in sacred geometry wall art carries profound meaning:
Flower of Life: Represents creation, interconnectedness, and the cycle of life.
Sri Yantra: A symbol of abundance and divine feminine energy in Hindu traditions.
Metatron’s Cube: Believed to contain all possible geometric forms, symbolizing balance and protection.
Golden Ratio (Phi): Seen in nature, art, and architecture, representing perfect proportion.
These symbols are not just visually stunning—they are believed to influence energy flow, making them powerful additions to any space.
Modern Applications of Sacred Geometry Wall Art
Home Decor with Purpose
Unlike generic wall art, sacred geometry wall art serves both an aesthetic and energetic function. Here’s how you can use it in different spaces:
1. Living Room: A Focal Point of Harmony
A large Flower of Life or Sri Yantra canvas can serve as a conversation starter while promoting positive energy.
2. Meditation Space: Enhancing Spiritual Practice
Hanging a mandala or Metatron’s Cube in your meditation area can deepen focus and relaxation.
3. Office: Boosting Creativity and Clarity
Geometric patterns like the Golden Spiral are said to enhance mental clarity, making them ideal for workspaces.
Materials and Styles
Sacred geometry wall art comes in various forms:
Metal Wall Art: Laser-cut steel or copper designs for a modern, sleek look.
Canvas Prints: Vibrant, high-resolution prints that capture intricate details.
Wood Carvings: Handcrafted pieces that add warmth and texture.
Tapestries: Lightweight and versatile for bohemian-inspired interiors.
How to Choose the Right Sacred Geometry Wall Art
1. Consider the Energy You Want to Invite
For protection: Metatron’s Cube or Hexagram.
For abundance: Sri Yantra or Seed of Life.
For creativity: Fibonacci Spiral or Golden Ratio designs.
2. Match Your Interior Style
Minimalist Spaces: Opt for monochrome metal or wood designs.
Bohemian Decor: Choose colorful mandalas or tapestries.
Modern Interiors: Geometric 3D wall art or acrylic prints.
3. Placement Matters
Above a Bed: Promotes restful sleep (use soothing designs like the Seed of Life).
Near the Entrance: Acts as an energetic shield (Metatron’s Cube is ideal).
In a Study Area: Enhances focus (Golden Ratio or Platonic Solids).
DIY Sacred Geometry Wall Art: A Creative Project
If you enjoy crafting, creating your own sacred geometry wall art can be a fulfilling project. Here’s a simple guide:
Materials Needed:
Canvas or wood panel
Acrylic paints or markers
Compass, ruler, and stencils (for precision)
Gold or metallic leaf (optional for embellishment)
Steps:
Choose a Design: Start with a simple Seed of Life or basic mandala.
Sketch the Outline: Use a compass to draw concentric circles and intersecting lines.
Add Details: Fill in patterns with symmetry in mind.
Paint or Embellish: Use colors that resonate with your intention (e.g., blue for calm, gold for prosperity).
This personal touch ensures your sacred geometry wall art carries your unique energy.
Conclusion: The Timeless Appeal of Sacred Geometry Wall Art
Sacred geometry wall art bridges the gap between art and spirituality, offering more than just visual appeal. Whether you purchase a professionally crafted piece or create your own, these designs can transform your space into a sanctuary of balance and inspiration. By understanding the history, symbolism, and modern uses of sacred geometry, you can select or design pieces that align with your aesthetic and energetic needs.
Embrace the beauty of the cosmos in your home—let sacred geometry wall art be your guide to harmony and deeper connection.

Wall Art for Homes in Pakistan – Best Designs
Wall Art for Homes in Pakistan – Best Designs
Wall art is an essential component of interior design, adding personality, warmth, and style to any space. In Pakistan, with its rich cultural heritage and growing design scene, wall art has gained popularity as a powerful means of enhancing home decor. Here’s a guide to some of the best wall art designs for homes in Pakistan, combining local culture, modern aesthetics, and practical tips.
Traditional Calligraphy Art
Calligraphy is a celebrated form of art in Pakistan, especially Arabic calligraphy. Traditional calligraphy adds an elegant, spiritual touch to interiors, often featuring verses from the Quran or other Islamic phrases. This art form combines rich color palettes and intricate scripts, making it a stunning focal point for living rooms or entryways.
Tips for Incorporating Calligraphy Art
Use frames with intricate designs to enhance the traditional feel.
Place calligraphy art in a prominent position to draw attention.
Opt for metallic paints or gold foil prints for a luxurious look.
 Truck Art-Inspired Wall Pieces
Truck art, a unique Pakistani art form known for its vibrant colors and bold designs, is a fantastic choice for adding a splash of color and energy to any room. From canvases to metal wall hangings, truck art-inspired pieces add a quirky, local flair to homes.
Tips for Using Truck Art in Your Decor
Use in areas with neutral walls to make the colors stand out.
Mix truck art with modern furniture for an eclectic style.
Add a few small truck art accents, like mirrors or trays, to tie the look together.
 Landscape Paintings of Pakistan
Pakistan boasts diverse landscapes, from the Himalayas to coastal regions. Landscape paintings, whether realistic or abstract, can transport the viewer to these scenic locations. These pieces are ideal for nature lovers and can create a serene environment in bedrooms or living rooms.
Suggestions for Landscape Wall Art
Use large, framed paintings for maximum impact.
Opt for pieces depicting beloved spots like Hunza Valley or Swat for a personal connection.
Choose softer color palettes for a more calming effect.
 Abstract and Modern Art
For those seeking a contemporary aesthetic, abstract art pieces provide sophistication and versatility. Modern art often uses bold colors and shapes, making it ideal for homes with minimalist or modern decor. Abstract wall art can be customized to fit any color scheme, adding depth and interest to the decor.
Tips for Choosing Abstract Art
Match color tones with your existing decor for a cohesive look.
Use oversized pieces to make a bold statement in open spaces.
Layer different abstract pieces for a curated gallery wall effect.
 Handcrafted Textile Wall Art
Handcrafted textiles are another beautiful choice, reflecting Pakistan’s rich history of textile artistry. Embroidered wall hangings, tapestries, and fabric-based frames add texture and warmth. These pieces work especially well in rustic or traditional Pakistani homes.
Ideas for Textile Wall Art Placement
Hang textile art above the bed for a cozy, layered look.
Use smaller embroidered frames in entryways or hallways.
Mix and match with other art forms to create a culturally rich gallery wall.
 Mirrors with Decorative Frames
Decorative mirrors double as wall art and functional decor. Mirrors can help make small rooms appear larger and add a stylish touch to any space. In Pakistan, mirrors with ornate, handcrafted frames—often in brass or wood—fit well with both traditional and modern interiors.
Placement and Styling Ideas for Mirrors
