So, I've noticed Death or Glory seems to be a pretty divisive album, but in my opinion, I think it's actually a pretty solid addition to Palaye's discography. People seem to think it's a wide stretch from their older stuff but I don't really fully agree with that. To me, it has many trademarks of their classic sounds, themes, and aesthetics--while simultaneously playing with new sounds and tapping into different genres. In a lot of ways it sort of harkens back to the playfulness and cheekiness of their earlier stuff while still staying in tune with the candid and intense emotions that has also often been present in a lot of their music.

It's an interesting album imo because it is very different, it leans more into the glitz and glamor (at least in a slightly new way tonally) and is maybe in some ways a bit more simplistic than their other albums. At the same time it's also very unique, especially in terms of what Palaye have done before. I think it brings out old classic sounds of theirs in a way that allows different sides of their music and sound to shine.
