i remember talking to nacs and maybe some other people about this when the first Incident™️ happened lmao. where 2 years ago in vegas, ja'marr first said A. that he was the one who dragged joe out to vegas in the first place because 'he's a great person who deserves to go out and live his life' but then B. the next day said they never hang out or talk outside of football and like!!!

it has to be just basic insecurity lmao. and the context of everything....ja'marr did a lot of interviews that first day and EVERYONE was asking him about joe's contract, and sweet naive ja'marr just answered his thoughts honestly on what he thought might happen, which of course caused a huge media storm of everyone trying to interpret what he said and if it was all actual fact and what it would possibly mean for Joe Burrow's Contract, so i imagine he may have had to deal with a bit of backlash about that. PLUS if i recall correctly, that night, there were a bunch of pictures of joe hanging out with the bosa brothers and other random 49ers at some fancy dinner....ja'marr nowhere to be seen 😭

so like, those two factors leading to the next day where he gets YET ANOTHER QUESTION about joe (who he thinks maybe might be mad at him for talking about his business, and who didn't go out with him the previous night but went out with a whole bunch of other dudes instead) and he's just like ACTUALLY WE DON'T HANG OUT WE'RE NOT FRIENDS I DON'T EVEN LIKE HIM WHATEVER 😤😤 is one of my favorite theories about why ja'marr is Like That sometimes.

then you factor in joe recently saying that ja'marr tells him his feelings through media!!! like joe seeing that interview all confused like ??? we went to vegas together?? love love love the fact that joe DOES watch/read all these insane interviews or at the very least has His People tell him about whatever the fuck ja'marr is saying.... oh i love them WHAT a dynamic!!!

the thing is like. joe is stoic and reserved and private, but he's actually very Uncomplicated in his love for ja'marr. the amount of times he's come straight out and said ja'marr is one of his best friends over the years... meanwhile ja'marr will say ten thousand conflicting things about if they talk, if they hang out, etc. but joe's just out here like, yeah that's my best friend 😌
