Ahhhhh I love this !!! I’m a huge Soundwave and Starscream fan and to see people talking about them in a positive way, ESPECIALLY about Starscream, I get so happy. I wanna add my own kinda notes and stuff (idk what to call them. can u tell I’m awkward lol.)

Note; this all is based/takes place in the Transformers: Prime universe. I am so sorry it ended up being this long and trust me, if I was less tired there would be a lot more (aka I might add on later) This is just something I'm really passionate about. I also have not finished reading Exodus so I don't know everything that happened in that book. (Please also note that I am a Soundstar shipper because that might affect what I'm saying.)

One thing I hate is the way people talk about the way TFP Soundwave is 'blindly loyal' to Megatron and how he hates Starscream so much. I'm not going to act like Soundwave likes Starscream (or at least doesn't like him that much) but to say Soundwave hates Starscream is a stretch. We have seen TFP Soundwave with people he hates and doesn't agree with, e.g. Airachnid. Soundwave hates Airachnid and it is very clear. While watching TFP I noticed that Soundwave treats Starscream with respect and in turn, Starscream does the same with Soundwave. I believe that Starscream is calm when around Soundwave because Soundwave isn't a threat like everyone and everything else is.

They work together really well. Soundwave isn't a threat to Starscream and Starscream knows this. Will all the blackmail and other stuff Soundwave (probably) has against Starscream, he will never use it because he recognizes that Starscream is important to the cause. Like novafire-is-thinking says, Soundwave is kind of stuck, however, he knows that he can influence Starscream, to 'aim' him in the right direction.

Also like huanted-dennys said “in fact there’s a lot of scenes when soundwave warns starscream,, reminds him of things, suggests plans. almost like he respects that starscream is his superior” (sorry novafire-is-thinking for stealing this lol) and I agree! There are a lot of scenes where Soundwave and Starscream work side by side. You have to also keep in mind that Starscream ruled the Decepticons for 3 (i belive) whole years, and for all 3 years, Soundwave and Starscream worked together.

Again, I'm not going to act like the two of them like each other but there is a mutual understanding between Soundwave and Starscream. They can work together and they have done so very well.

Anyways, sorry for the rant, I just need to get that out of my system. I'm just so happy that people are talking about Starscream and Soundwave. (I will probably do a separate post more on them later.)
