I do have to say, those ‘have you considered that in the post-capitalist utopia someone’s still gonna have to do the dishes’ posts are very funny for the amount of USian wannabe s*cialists absolutely exposing their own ass over not knowing anything about physical labour.

#I'm currently moving books by the meter and sore af don't touch me #like I love it #and I love doing construction and landscaping #but HON #also quite frankly automation is one of the big vectors of resource waste - more actual humans doing things #is going to drastically improve quality and lower waste in our production chain #like foresting by hand (& with chainsaws) and ponys is way more chill on the woodlands than machine foresting etc #one of the big 'drawbacks' of multi-layer/permaculture etc farming #is that you have to abandon all large agricultural machinery in the actual field #like sure you can still use a tractor for transport and digging out roots and stuff #but like. you realize you're gonna have to plant that shit by hand then right?#(also yes I'm aware a lot of agriculture is handpicking THAT'S MY POINT)#(like some of ya'll are so obvious over not even CONSIDERING the work we currently foist on underpayed exploited 'imported' workers)#(ya'll like 'workers of the world unite' until someone asks you to help out some Mexican or Romanian farm workers lol)#and don't get me STARTED on assembly line #I grew up in a VW hotspot and a bunch of my schoolmates' parents worked lines in the Works #not to be like 'check your privileges' but the amount of times I've seen ppl claim industry/assembly is dead in the West like???#Cool tell that to all the folks working line in Hannover-Braunschweig-Wolfsburg lol #and FUCKING SALZGITTER AG ugh fuck them #sorry just.
