As a white person and budding artist (that sure is. An intro) I'm always super careful to try and avoid harmful cultural and visual stereotypes in my art and practice sketches. I was wondering if you have/have posted any tips for drawing mexican people? I always do research before drawing anyone from a different culture or of a different race but it can be tricky to find things written by theae minorities themselves and I am always hesitant to take tips from another white artist on drawing other races 😅 (I also apologise if I worded anything badly here, I'm autistic and struggle to word things sometimes! Please feel free to correct me if I did!)

Heyo! I think the biggest reason there isn’t or even I haven’t ever made a how to draw Mexicans is ‘cause Mexico is very very diverse, and the majority of us are Mestizo ( “mixed race, especially one having Spanish and indigenous descent.”) There are definitely racist stereotypes to avoid such as orange skin, thick black mustache, lazy, alcoholic, poncho wearing, Mexican. Obviously. But this is just one small part of the coin, when there is a lot of anti-blackness, and anti-indigenous sentiments in our own communities, EVEN THOUGH, the majority of us ARE mixed race. This has to do with colonization, and the way the Spaniards just really fucked us over, brain washed us, and made being a White Mexican the IDEAL Mexican. So there’s a LOT to unpack there. 

Especially with Mestizos being prejudice towards their Indigenous communities WHILE STILL practicing the very same important practices that came from those communities (Dia De Muertos for example) Basically there’s an issue of still wanting to be Mexican, and have pride in your country, and culture, but not wanting be like those "dirty brown” Mexicans. To the point where the government is constantly trying to push the “we are all one Mexican race and nation” while actively trying to get people to essentially erase our Indigenous communities. Like there’s this big idea of “marrying White” that even my mom used to believe in for a while, because her own mother taught her that as well in order to assimilate and what not.  Again, lots of colorism and bigotry within our own communities. It’s a very big and complex issue, that we can thank the Spaniards for ( and the Mexican government who continues to uphold these toxic ideas), YAYY colonization!!! Weeee!!!!

( I mean I can even see it in my own family, with my dad’s side of the family clearly not being able to pass as White being severely impoverished, while my mom’s side of the family, who overall is much more White passing, have been able to hold positions of power in large companies and can even afford to buy more than one house)

Sorry to get into that very long rant, but I do think it’s very important to know this information to get started with actually figuring out how to accurately portray a Mexican, Tejano, Mex-Am, Afro-Mexican etc. Because well, anyone can be Mexican, just like anyone can be American! But I’ll get into the main communities that exist in Mexico to help you out!

So again, Mestizos (mixed-race) are the biggest group in Mexico, making up over 93% of the population! So that’s a good chunk of us jaja! So it’s good to talk about how different you can look in a mixed-race family! And what better example than my own family!

Both my parents look very “stereotypically” Mexican by American standards, especially my dad who is the absolute definition of a macho ranchero Mexicano jaja. Both my parents come from small farming communities in Mexico, but look very different themselves! Each pueblo kinda has their own differences too! The people from my mom’s pueblo all tend to have much lighter skin, with cool undertones, some even have blue or green eyes, and red hair! While the people from my dad’s pueblo (98 people in total there, very very small jajaja) Tend to have deep red undertones, thick dark hair, curly hair, hooked noses, and very very rarely hazel eyes! So it’s no wonder me and my siblings look so different as well! (none of us are adopted I assure you) 

So I’m very lucky cause I have a HUGE family to use as reference, and reference is key!!! but there are many cool Mexican celebrities and public figures you can use as reference if you don’t happen to know anyone (tho It’s always good to have friends with different experiences from your own as always)

But here’s some examples of how different mestizos can look, including some of my own specific references!

There is also our Indigenous communities “ Mexico's indigenous population is one of the two largest in the Americas (only Peru is comparable in size). More than one in ten Mexicans speaks an indigenous language”

I really recommend checking out this website to learn more, as this is something I’m still learning more about myself! 

Then of course we have our Afro-Mexican community! Mexico is cruel to it’s Indigenous communities, but even more so to Afromexicanos, who until recently were completely ignored by Mexico’s census. You can read more about this issue here.  Spaniards of course play a big part in the issues that face Afromexicanos today.  You can learn even more about this history here!

Did you know Lupita Nyong’o is Mexican! (A fellow Lupita <3 )

And of course, can’t forget White Mexicans! Don’t think the Spaniards just left after a while, because they stayed jajaja. (Look no further than Novellas and most big celebrates for some examples fhhffhf) 

So there really is no absolute way to represent us! (which was an issue I had with Coco actually.. with everyone having the exact same orange/brown skin) There is certainly a picture that comes to American’s heads when they think “Mexican” but in reality, things are much more diverse, beautiful, and complicating than that! 

However I do have some small little things I personally like to do to help indicate when I’m making a Mexican / Mex-Am character design based off of all of the information above along with my family and friends as reference! 

Moles! I don’t know why, but every Latino I know has so many moles.... from my childhood friends to my ex boyfriend, to every single cousin have... MOLES MOLES MOLES! Why? I haven’t a clue, but I always add them to my character designs jajaja! Even if it’s just a little one on the neck <3

Thick hair! It is a curse and a blessing. My grandpa will never bald compared to a white man, but in exchange I have to deal with shaving my chin every day to compensate LMAO. So I like giving my characters thick eyebrows, dark body hair, or thicker hair than most designs! It’s cool and neat!!! But please be mindful about how you do this as there have been white artists who have done this in racist and harmful ways, such as rcdart. ( X ) ( X ) 

I also recommend checking out shows like El Tigre, and Victor y Valentino, for some more fun and simple designs that show a wide variety of Mexican characters! (Also I just love Jorge R Gutierrez’s designs in general jaja)

Excuse me can I just say, I was just gone a a year and OMG YOUR ART really improved, the mod who drew naruto. The uh black hair girl white eye color lol. Do you use anything fancy like a cintiq? I personally just have an ipad 10.5 😭 but I haven’t been drawing as much, and practicing. Can you share your drawing tips? You use clip studio right? What brushes did you use to color or lineart? My art friends all say, to look up refs, trace, study the anatomy. Cause dear god, listen if you ever have commissions open please please. I would absolutely throw money at you. ANON WHAT THE HECK?? WHAT THE HECK????? THAT'S SO SWEET I'M GONNA CRY HHH??H??HHHHHHH??H?

sdkfjhdsfj okay lemme gather uhmm:

- This is my personal blog so you're in the right place :D asks are only at asksds

- I've been using a Wacom Intuos Pro M for years and I'm very happy with it!! I do actually have a Cintiq at work, and it's very handy for what I'm doing there, but for my private art I prefer the Intuos because with the Cintiq I always feel like my hand is in my way haha. That's just me and my preference though! My best friend uses her iPad, after she has worked with a regular drawing tablet and screen tablet, and she's super super happy with it, so it depends on the person.

- I do use Clip Studio, I even upgraded to EX in the last sale because I love it so! Currently my favourite brush for sketches is this one, and I occasionally use it to line as well (like with these Hinata-doodles), but generally I use the basic G-Pen in Clip for lineart, like here. For asks in asksds I use a brush I got from the asset store once called Bird's Lineart Brush, but I think it was deleted ;; it's very similar to the G-Pen though, the only difference is that the stroke-tips are a little more blunt.

- As for tips (this got a bit long so I'm putting it under a Readmore):

1) be lazy. I don't have as much time for drawing anymore since I got a fulltime job (hence why I don't upload a lot), so when I do I just take shortcuts, which is why I love Clip so much. I have downloaded countless brushes in the asset store so I don't have to draw a full plate of macarons 3 times and can just use a brush for it (btw. I counted and I have 67 lace brushes...wow.), and make a lot of use of the 3D-Models, especially for perspective. The bigger comic-updates in sds exist only because I use 3D-Models and rulers and whatnot, and I love them. Fuck the mindset of that being cheating (which I did have myself, I used to be like "But I should just KNOW how to do perspective!"). It gets the job done and you have more time for other art or other things. Win-Win!

2) Using refs, tracing and studying anatomy are all true tips which I also support, but just saying it like that is frustrating and too nebulous as a concept (it always felt that way to me at last), so lemme try to explain why. An excellent tip I read once is that art is like a language - you can't just craft something from yourself, but you need to learn the vocabulary first to get there. Likewise, you need to do those things so you train your hands and muscle memory. If you trace a thigh 100 times, your hand starts to just kinda know how the line is supposed to flow. tbh you could compare it to rhythm games, the longer you play, the more your fingers just kinda take over, and actively thinking about it makes you play worse.

That's not to say that it's some magical fix or you "know" art then! It's just that you don't have to actively think about everything you do anymore since your hands do part of the work, because you trained them for it and they remember.

Using refs and studying anatomy imo are intertwined. What I felt has worked the most for me (and keep in mind that I don't study a lot and I really really should do it a lot more so don't be like me) is actually trying to grasp the basics of skeletal structure and muscle build. There's a really good book called "Anatomy for sculptures", which is WILDLY useful for explaining and grasping muscle structure (you can find it online if you know where to look wink wink), and an app called C.Anatomy, which has a paywall for the full content, but the free version has a really nice 3D-Model of a skeleton which you can rotate and look at. I also really recommend MangaMaterials, she's a pretty big inspiration to me and explains the concepts of studying anatomy extremely well on her Youtube-channel.

Basically, if you know at least the base structure of the body, you start to kind of understand the random bumps and connections on the human body which makes it easier to reproduce them I feel. And again, I don't do this NEARLY enough myself and I make a lot of mistakes still, but even just doing it for a bit helps a lot imo.

Aight, I see that we started off greatly.

In all honesty, he have no idea how to draw,

And of course his drawing would look,,,, quite terrible i'm so sorry bokuto lovers

He's that kid in art class where's when the teacher already told them what to draw,

Bokuto sat there on his chair, staring at the canvas

Like, what is he suppose to do? Draw?

Well, yeah technically but what???

I can totally see him frustratingly erase the sketch if it can be called as a sketch

And then proceed to try to copy other people's work

Keyword; try

It's bad but at least he had an effort to finish it

4/10, there I said it

Akaashi

His drawings are not that professional but it's pretty

Have you ever seen a drawing that you wanted to stare at it for hours until you're satisfied?

That what's his drawing are like

Not typically an art kid so he's fine when student's from his art class asked him to draw for them

And is feeling pretty neutral with his talent (he actually won't call it a talent but more like a hobby or sum)

And just say 'thanks' if peoples compliments his drawing

Let say his drawing is, a good 8/10

A decent drawer in conclusion :)

Konoha

Not a bad drawer but he rather keep it basic

Konoha's prolly too lazy to draw something over the top so he's just gonna draw flower or something ksndnzkj

Sometimes sleep during art class and had to ask what they had to draw

Proceeds to decently draws a scenery

He's totally not the creative kid so whenever the teach tell them to draw something, he'll always go with basket of fruits, like,

Man, I appreciated the drawing but at least put some effort on thinking what to draw

The art teacher also kept telling him that he have raw talent and should enhance the skill more,

But that never happened, no

"Sorry ma'am, I'll just stick to volleyball, thank you,"

One part of the art room has a section of konoha's basket of fruits drawings but in different mediums

Rating is 7/10

Washio

IS actually an art kid and you cannot convince me otherwise

Has a small sketchbook with him and he'll always doodle when he's bored or in a middle of a lecture (while taking notes of course)

His main skill in drawing tho is painting

The colors blends in so well with one another and he's good at picking color palettes

Also, he doesn't really get that annoyed if some kids from his class ask him to teach them how to draw

Or even look through his sketchbook

He'll just nod and hand it to them without a second thought

Ajsjdhsijsi Washio get so blushy when someone compliments his drawing,,,,

I’ll give a 10/10 :), congrats

Sarukui

The best that he can do is doodles of owls and other shits but other than that, he cannot do

But the doodles are kinda cute doe ngl

He’ll have his moment where he’s in class and have no idea what to do, and just doodles a bunch of stuff

Once he draw his whole teammate including his coach and himself, he thought to himself,

“Huh, this looks good,”

And then take a picture of it for memories (cause he might throw the book he’s doodling in away)

Speaking of that, he doesn’t have an official book for drawing and just draws in his english or math’s textbook or sum

His juniors eyes are blessed when they got his textbook

Sarukui just vibes in during art class, draws and that’s pretty much it

The drawings,,,,,eh,,,, not that good, he only specialize in doodling as I said

so in conclusion,

I’m gonna say this and I’m prolly gonna say it again

He hates art class

Like, even with him trying his best to draw, it’ll always gonna look strange than what he planned

mf cannot draw a straight line in art class

This dood can draw a nice straight line in any other class whether it’s for a graph or others,

And then proceed to shakily draw a straight line during art session

Totally not an art kid and will never be one

I’m so sorry but it looks so bad

It’ll prolly look a lot better if he put more effort, but it’ll still look bad no matter what

It’s not good but also not bad?

Sometimes you’ll just stare at his drawing for a good minute and be like, what did he just draw just now?

What I’m saying is that his drawing’s are unexplainable

Maybe if you stare at it a little bit longer then it’ll make sense and you can see the beauty in it

But honestly I can’t really see anything, not in a bad way, but like, literally nothing

You’ll be staring at his canvas as the mario kart rainbow road music started playing inside your head

But Anahori is always proud of his drawings no manner what

Onaga

Just like Komi, he sorta hates art class too

But lemme tell ya, his sketches are GODLY, like, have you seen those pinterest hand sketches?

That’s what his sketch would look like

It’s so yummy to look at what

But he sucks at lineart so JAHGSDSHD

Onaga cannot properly hold the black pen and do the lineart, it’ll always turn wonky and he had to throw it away

Like, if he spend even hours tryna outline it all, and then erase it

It’ll look so trash

And he’ll just stare at it for a couple of minutes before crumpling the paper

He’ll also suck at coloring

Mans cannot understand how the color blend in together

And I think I’ll rate,,,,,6/10 just cause he suck at coloring and lineart lmao don’t worry i suck at coloring too

Another decent drawer and her drawings are almost the same as Akaashi’s

But instead of it looking pretty, it looks cute

I have a headcanon that Kaori have a journal and does journaling so that’s prolly the reason why her drawings are cute af

But honestly, her drawings sometimes depends on her mood,

If she’s mad or frustrated, her drawing would look kinda rough and not that cute anymore

If she’s feeling happy tho, It’ll look so nice and cuddly does that even make any sense

Isn’t necessarily an art kid but would love to try be one

And she totally have drawing sessions with Washio aaaaaa,

Just imagine both of them sketching in the same sketchbook while talking about the volleyball club or anything else

She’s getting an 9/10 just cause her sketchs looks clean <33

Yukie

She doesn’t draw at all

Like, you’ll never see her drawing at any kind of time so you have no idea what it looks like

Yukie would still attend art class,

But never draws

She said that she’s pretty lazy to draw it and said to draw it at her home later

But no one even saw that drawing after that

Yukie doesn’t show her drawings nor EVEN draw for once

The only reason why I started with Gin is because he have some amazing drawing skills

He admit that he’s not an art kid but draws godly as if he had been thought since he was a kid,

Well, actually yes

I think Ginjima actually wanted to be a drawer when he was still a little kid way before he started his 3rd year of middle school

So he practiced a few and became a nice drawer since then,

But he kinda quit being a drawer and decided to go with volleyball

And guess what?

His drawing talent is still there

He totally specialize in pencil drawing cause that’s the first thing he started learning

The lines are smooth and the shading are so yummy what is wrong with me

The Miya twins and Suna are so sh00ked when he saw his drawing during art class

ngl he’s pretty smug about it too but doesn’t brag about it

I’ll give this boy 12/10, mwuaah

Suna

I hate this man for this sole reason

Suna is too LAZY to draw so he doesn’t give any effort in his drawing

I can guarantee myself that I’ll get an eye strain when I saw his drawing

A pretty decent drawer

Akagi always draw happy and cute drawings so you’ll also get happy when you saw his drawings

Puts on a big smile when people compliments his drawing and shyly scratches the back of his neck

“Nah, this just look normal!”

But he draws oddly thick lines sometimes

Sometimes it looks good in some drawing

And sometimes it looks, bizzare in others...

But I think his drawing would look nice <3

Overall, I’ll give a,,, 7.5/10, keep up the good work

Oomimi

He’s from class 7 AND I really think that he’ll be good at drawing

Well, he can draw a few things but he struggles drawing other things he never accustomed to

But!

Oomimi is that kid who’s good at drawing scenery

He knows basic color palettes and which is cold and hot colors

So the scenery drawing would always look good

He get a lot of compliments for the drawing (50% of it from Akagi)

I think he doesn’t have that many time to relax and draw freely but when he does have it, it’ll just be small and simple doodles

um, let’s go with 8/10 <3

Aran

I truly believe that Aran can draw peoples face but in a pretty decent amount

He’s also good with anatomy teach me your ways king

But as much as he’s good at that, he kinda sucks at drawing any kind of background drawings

Mans can’t draw a scenery I’m telling you

As if the background doesn’t even exist in his mind lolol I’m sorry Aran lovers, I didn’t mean that in a bad way

Mainly uses copic markers to color and color pencils to shade

The first time he use the copic marker, he got really frustrated that the marker stain the other pages lmao

And he never uses digital drawing applications or softwares

Aran just doesn’t

I think I’ll rate him, 8.5/10

Kita

Okay, I know that Kita’s a top student and never fails in anything

But he’s not typically a good drawer that much

His drawing still got good marks but when you look at it, it just looks normal

I just know that the Kita lovers gonna get me after this

It’s not that bad and not that good, just a nice balance in between

I personally think Kita’s not that godly in drawing but rather a neutral drawer

He draw what he can and does shading and coloring when it’s needed

The colors are all basic colors, no pastel, no neon

And the shadings are pretty basic

Just a normal drawer here

Ya’ll gonna fight me for this but I’ll give Kita’s point,

Hey I'm Fred's fourth daddy anon! I sent that to you, and what felt like five minutes later you came in with that gorgeous sketch. Do you have any art tips or videos that have taught you cause I've been stuck draw trying to draw anything not resembling a lump for two years. Also yeah it was whirlwind episode, f*ck Rose, and Fred should have turned that loon in.

Hey FD Anon, thanks so much! I don’t draw a lot of “horror” art so I’m really happy with it’s progress so far!

While I do agree with you that Rose is The Worst, I think she added in an interesting dynamic and I’d be happy if she became a recurring character in the Scooby mythos at large. As for Fred not turning his dad in... I agree, but I also understand why he didn’t. 

The episode went out of it’s way to show off how frightening and weird he is but Fred made it very clear that when he wasn’t wearing the mask he was a good parent, and that all of his crimes were shown as nonviolent. He didn’t seem to steal anything (unless I missed that line?) he just liked messing with people by confusing them. 

As for art tips, I... honestly never expected anybody to ask for advice from me? That’s super flattering wow. 

Okay, so I’m still pretty much a novice, but lemme give you some of my best tips and tricks:

1) Notice how my last sketch had a grey background? This wasn’t just for that sketch, this is how I use ALL of my digital canvases. I do this because the grey causes less strain to my eyes, and allows me to work longer and more easily. Being so close to a screen, especially a blue or white one, can make it harder to work for long periods of time. 

2) If you want to do digital art, you need to learn “traditional art” (pencil and paper) first. It makes transitioning to digital more easy and it’s pretty much what any art teacher would recommend, for good reason. 

3) Using one method of art not only limits you, but stops you from learning other techniques which can be incorporated into what you typically prefer. Not only that, but you can also discover a medium you really love that you never would have thought of before!

4) Whenever you get the chance, work in black and white or monochrome. This is a great way to help yourself learn about values and intensity, and just looks cool in general. 

5) Piggybacking on that last point, if you’re ever worried about your shading, values, etc becoming muddled either A] take a picture and use a filter to make it black and white, or B] create another, pure white layer on top of the others and change it from “Normal” to “Hue”. Doing this can really help change your approach to coloring (black and white effect may be different for every art program). 

6) If you want to get better at realistic faces, I was taught using the grid system. You have squares on your reference picture, squares on your paper, and then match up the body parts to the squares. I personally didn’t like this method, but it’s a really solid style of learning. 

7)  Start with the torso instead of the head. what you start with the head, the body may end up becoming wonky and having the neck stretched out at an odd angle or having a too small cranium. This is easier to fix in digital art but I suggest just remembering the importance of that rib cage (this is something I’m still training myself out of). 

8) Asking for feedback can be an invaluable tool. For example, last year I had this really weird thing where I drew my eyes way too close together- I never noticed until I had it pointed out to me, and it took MONTHS to break this habit.

9) References are very useful, and one fun technique I’ve found great use in is to draw a pose, first with no reference, and then following that reference very strictly. This can be helpful when you want to see where you are developmentally. 

10) Every now and then while drawing, you want to put the pencil down, prop up your paper, and walk away so that you can see the full image from a distance. If you’re working digitally, you zoom out a great deal so that the image appears smaller. This is a GREAT tool for seeing which sections of the piece need the most attention and how those smaller details hold up. 

11) If you have the opportunity, you REALLY want to participate in an actual art class. Having a teacher that can see what you’re doing in real time and knows where you’re at skill-wise is an INVALUABLE thing to have- these people were specifically taught how to teach you these skills, recognize your problems and how to fix them. Don’t be afraid to talk to them and ask for advice about non-classwork art, either! You can’t receive help if you don’t ask for it. 

12) Flip your canvas! I know you’ve probably heard this before, but this is one of the best ways to check for anatomy inconsistencies.

13)  When it comes to youtube artists, I don’t really actively follow any, but I do know of some! 

Mark Crilley: While I don’t watch his videos much now, I used to follow his videos RELIGIOUSLY. He’s got some really solid advice on how to map out comics and mangas, and he taught me the importance of silent scenes and keeping your work from getting too wordy. He mostly does the soft anime look, but he also does some pretty stellar realism. 

mikeymegamega: I’m not going to lie to you, anon- this man likes his cheesecake. This guy is all about the cute anime girls, so if you’re not looking for that, skip him, but I really can’t recommend his videos on hands, feet, and faces enough. 

Proko: Has a video about best drawing exorcises and is the guy you turn to when you want to know about figure drawing. He tends to focus on the more realistic anatomy, and while his videos may be long he’s got some good advice. I’d say to check out his studying anatomy correctly video, and then just kinda scroll through his pages. 

Ethan Becker: THE KNIFE MAN. The first time I clicked on him I thought he was making a troll video- but then he Got Into It and my dudes, my guys, he has some CRAZY good advice. The way he words things and shows you examples in his videos are amazing and I really can’t recommend him enough. He did a video called “Fixing PROKO's LAZY Drawings“ and while you’d think it would be a  bash fest his advice on shading in it is just so incredibly useful. Click on pretty much any of his videos and you’ll be entertained and learning. 

I'd also suggest watching speedpaints. Even if it was unintentional, I’ve learned several really solid art hacks from speedpaint and storytime videos- so always be aware that you have an option for that. 

…. Oh! And also, practice! I know you’ve probably been given this advice from everyone already, but it’s worth remembering. 

Sorry if this got a bit long, I just figured I’d try to give you some good hacks- and even if you have already heard of most of these, I hope I could at the very least entertain!

You take this opportunity to grab the pastel, resuming your shading. "Can you come sit back down, i need to see if i should add something else."

He comes back over, sitting down and resuming his painting this time with a sour look on his face.

"Why are you even drawing my hands?" He gives you one of his hands, painting with the other.

"It's for school. What's it to you?" He pulls his hand back. "Well it is attached to me, so pretty it's important."

You scrunch your nose at him. "Why are you painting me?" He cracks a smile as he looks at his reference photo of you, nearly naked, only a translucent sheet covering you.

He thinks back to when he had Xion photograph you. He was so flustered and didn't know if he was being respectful towards the both of you, A fond memory in his eyes

"What's it to you?" He mocks your words, grinning wider as you smack his arm.

"I don't know what i'm going to do with it it when i'm done, i just wanted to paint you." He looks at you and kisses you lightly as he cups your face, getting paint on it.

You stand up to go rinse it off when he stops you by holding your hand. "Leave it, it's cute."

You sit back down and continue to do oil sketches of different parts of Seoho as he works on his painting.

You begin to loose yourself in your art, being pulled back out by said man.

"Your art is beautiful, but you need to take a break and eat something." He puts down a cheese, meat and fruit platter that you didn't realize he had gone to make.

You reluctantly put down your sketch book, knowing Seoho would make you eat one way or another.

The two of you talk about nonsense, mainly upcoming art projects and wish lists for what supplies you two would like in the studio.

The bell at the front of the studio sounds, making Seoho get up from his spot, allowing you to finish your slice of cheese and get back to your work.

You decide to make a piece with your own hand as a model, seeing as your favorite model was busy with his art shop. Not only was he a very talented artist, he made most of his living by restoring paintings, sometimes taking art commissions himself.

That's how you met Seoho, restoring paintings.

Your art class was learning about restoring paintings. The teacher had Seoho come in to teach a thing or two, as he was one of the most pleasing graduates from the college three years prior. He had taking a liking to you, paying more attention to your work throughout the week as he was teaching your class.

When he was getting ready to leave he had told you to stay behind, that was when he gave you his number to meet up for lunch sometime. A year has passed since then and you agree that was one of the best moves you've made.

A set of hands rubbing your shoulders alerts you to Seoho's presence.

"Do you have a new piece to work on?" You ask reluctantly, knowing he would ask you to leave the studio and back into the house, he had a thing for people not being around for the restoring process.

"No, Hwanwoong and Xion have to do another photo shoot for their major. Hwanwoong wants me to do a painting on you. Is that okay?" A spark sets off in your eyes, you whip around.

"I'm going to take that as a yes then." He laughs at you as you pull out the body paints.

"I don't know what i'm going to paint on you yet. Will you wait until i get a sketch down?" The sparkle in your eyes dim, allowing him to grab one of his many sketch pads.

He beckons you closer with his finger. He pulls you closer to him sitting at his drafting table, wrapping his arms around your waist and giving you a long kiss to the lips.

"Do me a favor baby girl and go take a shower. The paint will stick better." You smile down on him. Giving him another kiss before slowly detaching yourself from him.

"I won't be long."

You quickly bounce inside his house that is attached to the shop, making your way to your shared bathroom.

In the shower, you take care to shave off your body hair, knowing it would show up on the camera's and make Seoho's work look messy.

When you get back to the studio, this time in a robe and with your hair in dutch braids, Seoho is setting up the air brush and brushes. You hug him from behind, slightly startling him.

"Do you want to set over there?" Seoho points to the stool now on a tarp, ready to catch any of the paint.

He walks back over to you, helping you remove your robe and applying the pasties for you, making you shiver at his cold touches.

"So are the boys still here?" You distract yourself from how gorgeous he looks while working.

"No, they went out for lunch. I told them i would call when i'm done painting. I don't think Xion would want to see you half naked again." He smiles at the last part.

"Wont he see have to see me half naked when he takes the photos?" The coldness of the primer makes you flinch.

"Yea, but he thinks the paint will make a difference. Hwan would probably enjoy it though." You both laugh at the Casanova of a friend.

You both fall into somewhat of silence, listening to the music that plays, and watching the older man as he focuses of the painting.

It's amazing to you how he could look so attractive while hair slightly covers his eyes.

He looks up to you, sharing your gaze until you blush hard and look away.

"You act like this is the first time i'm seeing your body like this." He brushes a dark purple color along your rib cage, sending goose bumps across your skin, not unnoticed by Seoho who only smirks.

We're gonna try again.

I was busy all day today, and now I'm laying in bed. I got a few minutes.

Here are the sketches from Sunday, Sept 6th.

We start of strong with a drawing that I really like. It's not so much vent art as it is angst art. You've all heard of the Hanahaki disease, a fictional disease of unrequited love? Well this has nothing to do with that. My idea when I first came up with Rosie was, what if flowers were part of you. They grew with you. She had flowers on her face, tiny ones, right over where her left eye would be. But as I started making twisted versions of these characters for INH, well... You saw my sketch from the 5th. Instead of flowers growing with you, the flowers became parasites. This is before she died.

We're going to ignore the fact that I don't know how to draw a mohawk.

Because I was in that angst mood, I drew Brock, getting his arm cut off, with a bloody bandage over his eyes.

You wanna know the funny thing about this story I'm working on? Blood is blue, like the sky and tears are red, like the color of yours and my blood. So technically, he's just crying.

And I got lazy in all the sketches and just shaded in the blood.

Whatever, you can't send me to inconsistency jail! I already live there!

I'm a bit scared to post this one.

This is Charlie. They are nonbinary. They're also a cyborg who is taken over by a sort of virus part way through chapter 3. I wanted to illustrate what the mesh between human and robot is. So I drew these things during the day, the latter 2 while in a call with my cousin. But before I went to bed, I decided to draw some happy things, to make me feel happier. Also so I could have drawn something happy

So I started off with CHARLES, the one and only! Drawing Stickmin is way fun. It's really easy and I love it. The face is one of my favorite things to draw, cause you draw so much emotion there, you know?

But Charles is our king. He's immortal and we love him. (VH did not exist.)

I censored this a bunch, mostly because I didn't want to get in trouble with my mom. And that's just talking about the language, Eli often wears a binder. (They are sometimes a potty mouth.) So here's Eli! (OC!Eli to be specific.) They're very happy to be a heckin mermaid.

That's it. This is the post I've been trying to get out for 2 days. The original had better explanations and was more cohesive. Y'all are stuck with this one now.
