thinking about domestic sengen during the restoration era. them sharing a house since gen's constantly travelling anyways. senku subconsciously stocking up the fridge with senku cola in case gen returns regardless. he only really registers it once there's more cola than energy drinks in there. each time gen comes back home, he brings a cute souvenir from the countries he visited. their fridge is full of magnets from different countries. and of course, gen will whine about the amount of work he has now, and it's annoying, but senku still enjoys his presence at home more than not. they catch up with the new shows on tv together, which aren't mostly originals but instead, readaptations of old media pre-stone age. gen loves to comment while watching, and senku enjoys pointing out discrepancies. he also likes to tell gen to shut up and just watch it, and would never admit that it's because gen's constant narration of his thoughts makes it harder to watch shows alone without noticing its absence. gen rarely cooks, but he always gets take outs for the both of them lest they end up eating ramen on the couch again. when senku stays overnight in the lab, he visits to make sure that senku gets enough sleep. they're not married nor are they together, but a companionship such as theirs is just as equally as thrilling...
