AGE.  i am uncomfortable following anyone below the age of 21. if i can't see at least a nod toward your age in your blog, i won't follow.

GUIDELINES.  i promise you, i never follow anyone without going through their guidelines & about pages first.  that's basic rp etiquette.  with that said, if i make a mistake about your muse in a thread, please correct me!  as many times as i reread pages, we're all human, so mistakes are inevitable.  i'll correct it immediately.  

PLOT DRIVEN.  don't be afraid to message me to plot.  i am trying to get better at winging it, but still, i most likely will need to plot eventually!  this blog has a heavy preference for plotted dynamics/threads.  note: if i haven't followed back you can still shoot a message or ask. i may not see a reason for our characters to interact, but if you come to me with a plot in mind, that may change.

FOLLOWING.  reasons i may not follow if you're curious??: no writing on your blog, high ooc activity with little to no ic activity, prose / first or second person pov / i don't think our styles mesh, no tagging system, no visible / easily found / readable rules, no visible character info, no mun age listed, blog hopping or remaking every few months.

MAINS & EXCLUSIVES.  im more than open to having them.  both require extensive plotting and chatting, of course.

OTHER FANDOMS.  you don't really need to be familiar with katherine to write with me. just make sure you check the dossier linked above.

VERSES.  considering this katherine is fandomless, and given her status as a being of hell, i think she can cross over into many different universes.  for now, everything will fall into three different verses. human: events that occur before her transition. vampire: events that occur in her centuries spent as a vampire. hellsent: events that occur after her death, whilst she is a spirit / queen of hell.

SHIPPING. i will be selective with romantic ships. it of course requires chemistry. if you try to force it, i will hard block.  i am always open to exploring cross over ships and katherine x oc.  i don't auto - ship (ex: you write a salvatore but don't want to ship? fine by me).  given the nature of katherine's character, any relationships she's involved in will most likely be toxic in some way.  and given the nature of the vampire diaries (power dynamics, age gaps, physical violence.... yeah), i would say don't expect flowers and rainbows.

FORMAT.  mostly iconless. if anything, i'll use gifs.  my formatting is simple and i tend to gravitate toward people with a similar style.  sometimes i color my text, you’re more than welcome to ask me not to if it causes eye strain.

MISC.  sometimes i have duplicate anxiety, sometimes i don’t; other katherine blogs are free to follow (hello multiverse!!!), and i’ll block if i’m not comfortable with it.  alternatively, you’re free (obviously) to soft/hard block me if i follow you, i totally understand.  i block liberally, do not take it personally as it is genuinely not that serious.  it is almost never personal.  with that said, don’t try to circumvent it, no means no.  

DNI.  stranger things, merle dixon, homelanders who woobify him, whitewashed muses, all white / overwhelmingly white multis, smut centric/based blogs.  if a faceclaim bothers me enough, i’ll just avoid them - but i think most celebrities are quite terrible anyway lol so this will be rare.  if you are a multi and we become mutuals, i’ll simply avoid that character.  with that said, i’ll only interact with actor faceclaims.

INTERACTIONS NOTE. katherine is an antagonist and (mostly) a villain, we know this. however, i write her as someone capable of change who actually wanted to. she has moments of humanization in the show --- she is more than just an antagonist and villain. this is to say if every interaction is going to be hostile & antagonistic, i'm going to lose interest very fast. i find it boring and kind of draining. no one has to like her, and you won't find me trying trying to make her into the good girl she isn't, but if your muse can have a civil conversation with the likes of (for example) damon, kai, klaus, they can have a civil conversation with katherine pierce. 🧍‍♀️i'm not here to only explore one side of her personality, yknow?

i’ve been considering going iconless for a while, and while i understand they’re helping others with better visualization of the thread ( sometimes they help me too ), they’re pain in the ass, especially for using fcs that don’t have already pre-made resouces. yes, i make my own resources, but i don’t make them before writting threads ( i literally can not sit down and make them? i have better things to do, not really, it is just not my cup of tea ) so i always make them after i have already written my reply. that means i am searching through interviews / shows / movies just to get one screencap and one icon...as i said i like to use them for visualization, but they also slow down my productivity. ( i could be not-so-lazy but nah, this is a hobby ok )

this means i probably will not go completely iconless, and you will still see me using icons in some threads, but i am also welcoming the idea of iconless threads! 

It is already written in my rules. I was kinda iffy about it, cuz I saw a blog who specifically had that they do not rp with iconless blogs, but that’s okay for them and should not affect my hobby, my decision.

i ramble as a shit here, basically.... iconless for longer threads / icons for smaller things...probably.
