You're such a good writer! I was wondering if you had any advice for someone who wants to begin writing on here? Like what's your process for making stories?
Ty nonnie, I'm flattered and excited for you. I wish I had a better answer but I spilled some thoughts below. Also, if you view this post on my actual blog and press the "writing" tag on it, you'll find some tips I've given before on story planning, writing dialogue, getting active in a fandom and more.
For good advice, @writingquestionsanswered has a great masterlist of resources and answers to Q's like this. Also, @creativepromptsforwriting.
Hope you have a good day 🖤
I daydream a lot. I tend to visualize before writing. Sometimes I jump in and sometimes I make notes. If I write notes, it's pretty leisurely / when a thought strikes I jot it down. Even if I won't use it. "No bad ideas." Then if I haven't decided how the story goes, I'll look at those notes and see if something takes shape when I consider them all together. Then to write it, I might start with whatever is the most vivid part in my mind whether that be dialogue or physical action or scenery. It doesn't have to be all planned out, I can see where it goes.
To make it less daunting, rn I will only start writing something I think I can finish in one sitting. So like a single scene. I try not to get hung up on details. I put stuff in brackets and come back to it. [He doesn't want to go to the function] <- I would come back and turn that into dialogue/mood. Or I might leave myself a question. [What's he wearing?]
If I'm "stuck," I might vary where I'm writing (Google docs, notes app, messages to myself) which is a nightmare for organizating purposes bc I can't be trusted to remember or consolidate. But sometimes helps ideas flow. Changing fonts is a less complicated tactic too.
Sometimes I do "sprints" where I write for a set amount of time and no matter how bad I'm writing i just do it until the time is up. And that gives me something to work with/rewrite.
Note: If you don't know what you want to write, you can start with who. And then, what are your favorite things about them. And what situations would make those things shine or challenge/validate them. Ask yourself what-if questions. You could try taking inspiration from prompt lists or blogs like creativewritingprompts to get you started. Your own ideas will come.
The truth is I'm too chaotic for my own good a lot of the time. You only see what I post, not all the stuff I don't. And this year there has been a lot of that. Scenes missing context, story fragments, dialogue with no setting, unedited drafts just languishing in various locations.
I hope you give writing a try and feel free to follow up or DM me. 🖤🤟

Soooo...an update, I guess?
I have been really, really inconsistent on this blog. It may not seem that way given how full my queue is but in terms of like, my personal involvement...very sporadic. Not even bothering to tag most things with organizational tags like "writing prompts". Not responding to most things I'm tagged in.
Wish I could say that it's because I've just been so busy with getting Shifting Roots ready for publication or having a blast on summer vacation, but the fact of it is that depression has been kicking my ass. I've been struggling more than usual with imposter syndrome, disassociating from reality, and suicidal ideation. My absence of effort has been less "taking care of my mental health" and more "can't be arsed due to my mental health."
Thankfully I'm getting connected with some resources and talking to those close to me to try and get out of this funk. So I'm hoping that I'll actually start being a part of this community again soon. I know that writeblr is typically not the "place to go to sell your books" or whatever but I definitely used to be more active with talking to people, reblogging WIPs, etc. and I want to get back to that. I miss being a part of writeblr. I know a lot of my imposter syndrome has to do with being a "has been" in this community, which makes me embarrassed to interact, which makes me feel like more of a "has been" and the vicious circle spins.
Not entirely sure why I'm posting this. Sometimes it just helps to get the thoughts out.
But yeah. I'm gonna try to start interacting more, finding WIP posts to leave comments on and reblog, things like that. Being more active than just my queue.
So I guess this is me once again asking to flood my inbox with your WIPs. Tell me about your characters. Tell me what you're working on. Tell me how far along you are with your current WIP. Tell me what inspires you to write, or draw. Rant about something you watched or read that you thought sucked and how you'd do it different. It'll legit make my day to get asks.

sometimes I just want to discuss felix/dimitri at 4 AM
I feel like Felix and Dimitri’s dynamic is quite easy to misunderstand if you’re used to FE games where most relationship development happens in supports, because there’s a lot about them you only learn outside of their supports... so let’s discuss those bits of dialogue! in fact, why don’t we discuss all of it?
- Felix and Dimitri’s ancestors, Kyphon and Loog, were very close friends (to the point that legends were passed down about their friendship), as were their fathers. this is far from the only “destined friendship” FE3H has to offer (a milder example is Linhardt and Caspar, whose fathers are described as being good friends with a similar dynamic to their sons), but it’s almost certainly the most poignant one
- early on in the game, Felix has a monastery conversation where he talks about how he wishes Dimitri would just take up the throne already; at this point their relationship is obviously still very rocky, so it’s more likely that Felix wants Dimitri to do his duty and fix the chaos in Faerghus more than anything, but it’s worth noting nevertheless!
- their first dining hall conversation has Dimitri reaching out to Felix and offering him meat as he remembers he used to like meat when they were children, which Felix is having none of. it sets the tone for their dynamic at the start of the game: Dimitri trying to reconnect, and Felix stubbornly refusing it’s also incredibly easy to make a bad joke about offering meat here but I’ll refrain
- their second dining hall conversation takes place after their B support, where Felix makes it quite clear he doesn’t want Dimitri speaking to him... so, instead, it’s Felix initiating the conversation, mentioning how Dimitri “eats like he hates the food”, with Dimitri apologizing. this one’s a bit curious, but I interpret it as Felix being observant enough to notice that Dimitri has lost his sense of taste, which suggests he worries about him despite what he claims :’)
- I’ve actually yet to see all of their group task dialogues (missing the B rank ones?), but the first one is Felix grumbling about having to work with Dimitri (”you again”) and Dimitri telling him there’s no use complaining. if they get a mediocre result, Felix says to not make him work with the boar again (iirc), but if they get a perfect result, Felix makes some amusingly suggestive comments about how “the boar is useful if you know how to handle him”, and Dimitri seems surprised by the praise, but returns it (aw he’s happy Felix said something nice to him :D)
- near the end of part I when Dimitri is starting to unravel, Felix has a monastery conversation where he comments on how his spearwork is getting sloppy and says to “cage the boar before he gets himself killed”. the crux of the conversation isn’t Felix’s apparent anger at Dimitri, but rather his fear of him dying (but, with Felix being Felix, he cloaks his concern in insults, as always)
- if you recruit Felix to BE-E, he will say he’s become the exact same monster he once berated Dimitri for being if talked to in the monastery. he will later comment on how he still believes Dimitri is a monster, but more curiously, while he says he’s resolved to go against his friends and country in an earlier conversation (notably saying he’s “prepared to kill a man [he] once called friend” -- ie, Dimitri), he also says his “sword arm feels heavy”... because he’s forcing himself to go against everything and everyone he cares about to justify the murders he’s committed
- Felix is the only member of the Blue Lions whom Dimitri has a unique boss fight conversation for. Dimitri seems shocked Felix would go so far as to kill his own father, but Felix responds he’s ready to cut down even his father and his friends (with a sad portrait... maybe not as resolved as he thinks he is!). Dimitri says that’s all he needed to hear to work up the resolve to kill him, which, well... I’m glad he admits he needed to work up the resolve to kill Felix specifically, but I’m also still crying
- if you recruit Felix to GD instead, then once Dimitri dies, Felix has a monastery conversation where he’s very shaken-up: he talks about how their “relationship started before [they were] born”, a nod to the friendships of their ancestors and parents, and says he once considered Dimitri his best friend (this is notable, as it’s one of several implications Dimitri and Felix had a closer bond with each other than the rest of the Lions childhood friend group). he then goes on to admit he didn’t understand his friend’s anguish, and blames himself for failing to be there for him: “could I have saved him? could I have stopped him?”
- in a latter GD monastery conversation, Felix wants to deal with the Slithers so that Dimitri can rest in peace, and for the first time in this particular route, he actually calls Dimitri by his name (stopping himself before referring to him as a boar again)
- in both BE-E and GD, Felix’s negative character development mirrors Dimitri’s (which I wrote a quick post on), which makes a lot of sense when you consider they’ve been through similar hardships. this ties into Felix relating his way of dealing with the deaths of those close to him to Dimitri’s method of coping in their A support; despite his sharp tongue, he does understand!
- all of Felix’s endings change on the non-BL routes, as Dimitri’s death impacts him very negatively. I wrote a post on this, too! with Felix having been raised to be the king’s right-hand man, this makes a lot of sense: if Dimitri dies, he’s essentially lost his purpose in life and, from his point of view, failed to save his best friend from himself, and so he “copes” by devoting himself to the sword, becoming a death-seeking mercenary
- post time-skip on the BL route, Felix has surprisingly little to say after joining up with Dimitri, but does point out he’s “like a completely different person”. his monastery dialogue is more interesting: he’s in the cathedral for the first time, specifically to watch over Dimitri, and tells Byleth to do something about him, as he can hardly bear to look at “it” (apparently, he’s not even willing to refer to Dimitri as a boar anymore). despite his apparent anger, it’s, as always, a way for him to mask his concern, as he’ll gain support points if Byleth promises to help Dimitri.
- after Rodrigue’s death, Felix is harsh with Dimitri, but (assuming you have them at the appropriate support level) nevertheless promises to help him in his father’s stead and finally calls him by his actual name, implying he acknowledges the Dimitri he considered his friend did not truly die with the Tragedy of Duscur and is no longer just “the boar”
- after reaching A rank, Dimitri’s dining hall dialogue with Felix has him say “you used to whine unless you could do everything with me” (with Felix reacting in an appropriately tsun manner). when paired with Sylvain’s comments about Felix coming to him crying whenever he had a fight with Dimitri, we get a good picture of younger Felix as a bit of a clingy crybaby who couldn’t stand being apart from Dimitri, which is very telling: he probably retains a bit of that clinginess deep down, even if he’d do everything in his power to deny it :D (I also feel it makes it quite clear Felix was closest to Dimitri!)
- their group task dialogue at A rank has Felix still being quite tsundere, but Dimitri seems to be very much unaffected and tells Felix it’s assuring to have him there. if they get a mediocre result, you (iirc) get some rather cute dialogue where Dimitri tells Byleth to praise Felix for having worked so hard, to which Felix goes “stop it, boar. I only worked hard because you made me” (still tsundering, I see!); with a perfect result, Felix comments on how they “work so well together it’s eerie”, to which Dimitri agrees, but also says it makes sense as they were childhood friends
- in a latter monastery dialogue, Felix comments on how his father would be proud if he could see the progress Dimitri’s made, then hastily adds, “don’t you dare tell anyone I said that”. sure, Felix
- before the final battle, if you have Felix and Dimitri at A rank, Felix has this to say: “go and win. be the boar that you are, and don’t you dare look back.” this shows an implied reconciliation that their A rank by itself didn’t really offer, and is also rather sweet as Felix is using “boar” as more of an affectionate nickname than an insult here, acknowledging Dimitri’s two faces. (during the final battle, Felix and Dimitri will also have a short conversation if you defeat Myson, where Felix chides Dimitri for getting distracted!)
- Felix’s solo ending has him become Dimitri’s right-hand man, which is referenced in a majority of his endings on the BL route (so even if you choose not to support them, Felix still ends up dedicating his life to serving Dimitri), and, finally...
- Felix and Dimitri’s paired ending mentions that their friendship rivaled that of Loog and Kyphon’s, mentioned above, but also has this lovely line: “their lifelong bond grew so strong over time that, when Dimitri finally passed, it is said that Felix's grief was more potent even than the queen's.” yes, Dimitri having a queen is brought up... but only so we can learn that Felix cared more for him than his own wife did. a fitting ending! :’)

Maxwell Appreciation and HCs
This is my submission for day one of Maxwell Beaumont Appreciation Week.
What I love about Max: his loyalty, his sense of humor, and his ability to emphasize with others.
Max is the best friend you could want and when I don’t write him as an LI for Riley, I make him her best friend and found family (the brother she never had).
I’ve also written a friendship that I absolutely love between him and Hana in Hinge, a series where they are both queer, both live or practically live at Valtoria with Riley, Drake, and Liam (who are in a hinge relationship).
If you’ve played the game you already know he’s funny.
Empathy: Come on. He watched Liam with MC for one night and knew what had to be done. Throughout the original story, he demonstrates high levels of empathy toward others. Look at the lengths he went to in order to help Savannah.
My HC’s about Max:
For some reason, I see him as either gay or bisexual. I have never written him as straight. In any universe he isn’t a LI for MC, I usually make him gay and if MC is with Drake and not Liam, I generally put Liam and Max together.
I also see him as more serious than the later books made him seem. He’s been through a lot in his life and I think he uses humor as a coping mechanism, not because he’s shallow.
I see Max as kind, gentle, loving, and considerate and that goes for all his relationships with family and friends as well as romantic partners.
I’m not going to lie, I never saw him as a serious LI until I wrote him as one in Bad Romance. It was supposed to be just one chapter then he was going to be out, but I loved his dynamic with Riley and here we are. As a LI he brings a lot to the table. He is devoted, loyal, and never toxically jealous.
He’s a good dancer in a sexy way, not a ridiculous way.
He’s domestic. In Bad Romance/Bad Parenting, I have the other members of the polycule busy with high-stress jobs: King, Queen, Captain of the Queen’s Guard, and best legal counsel in Cordonia. Max is the one that enjoys cooking for everyone and is the one that most frequently stays home with the kids.
I did give Max a job too, but it’s nurturing in a lot of ways: First assistant and top advisor to the queen. I think he has mad organizational skills (those Beaumont bashes didn’t schedule, plan, decorate and throw themselves) and he brings those skills to play organizing Riley’s life, and he does it not just because it’s his job, but as an act of love/service/devotion. It makes her less stressed and frazzled when her color-coded agenda is next to her plate at breakfast. And that’s why he puts it there because it makes her happy and he loves her.
Max is the peacekeeper, he wants everyone to get along and be happy and always does his best to make sure that happens.
He’s a good dad, but sometimes too permissive. He believes in letting kids be themselves and is really good at comforting them and playing with them.
He’s a writer (obviously)
He probably has ADHD. Yep.
He plays guitar and can run a DJ booth.
He drives a red Ferrari spider.
He’s obsessed with squids.
He was on the Cordonian National Fencing team with Liam and Drake. (That'll be explained in Hinge)

Group Project (Shino x Reader x Kisame x Temari)
Request:
Word Count: 2,282
Tags/Warnings: Language, Alcohol Mention, Gender Neutral Reader @brokennerdalert @narahanabi
Notes: I have never written for Temari before. I think I got her spot on tho. This was actually too fun to write. Enjoy, y’all.
The only time that worked for everyone was 10 o’clock. Which, by the way, sucked ass. At least, that was what Kisame said in the groupchat just ten minutes before you dragged yourself out of your dorm and into the rain. You trudged through the puddles, holding your jacket closed over your body to protect your backpack-encased laptop. Shino had a night lab. The earlier he finished his work the earlier he could leave. Temari had been insistent about that. She had some sort of circle and you remembered Kisame asking her why she couldn’t just skip for the week only to be met with a passive aggressive response. And Kisame himself had hockey practice. Even the sports houses were off campus, only impeding your scheduling efforts.
When you got to the longue, Temari had already set up all of her belongings. She sat herself in a cluster of four shallow armchairs and spread out a flurry of papers on the long coffee table. With the packed schedule that she threw into the chat, you wondered how she got there so quickly. Temari looked up at you with one long, slender brow raised.
“Oh good, at least you’re here.” Unsure, really, of what to make of her backhanded compliment, you sat down in the chair across from her and wordlessly unpacked your laptop.
You never liked general classes. At the end of the day, you worked on a few big, group projects, ultimately learned nothing, and your grade depended on the work ethic of others. You glanced over at Temari. She likely didn’t even have the same major as you. Granted, that was probably the point of the class, but nonetheless, it weighed on your already drooping eyes knowing that you’d have to pour so many late night hours into a project that would amount to nothing.
You pulled up your school account and sifted through your notifications.
“I signed us up for a research question. I thought that censorship in the classroom was an easy and relevant one. I don’t know about you, but I’m not about to get into the intricacies of drones at this time of day.” You couldn’t help but nod. Temari sure pounced on top of things quickly and for that, you were thankful to have received an easy prompt.
“Sounds great,” you mused and the heavy door from the outside to the longue slammed shut. You glanced over your shoulder to find Kisame, still in athletic clothes grinning as he approached.
“Well this is bullshit, isn’t it?” Those were the first words to come out of his mouth and you could practically hear Temari groan in exasperation. Kisame plopped down in the armchair beside you, offering you a wink as he did. “What kinda professor assigns a project on Tuesday only for it to be due Thursday? Ain’t that right, sweetheart?”
You averted your eyes back to your screen, pretending to sort through your notifications. You hummed in response, too easily flustered and too tired to process. Temari’s fingers flexed over her own keyboard.
“It’s the beginning of the semester. It’s to test out organizational skills and teamwork,” she managed through half-gritted teeth. You looked between your two teammates, wondering what exactly happened between them that made them so hostile to each other. You made a mental note to not get in the way of whatever that was. Kisame scoffed, sitting back in the arm chair and reaching for his own computer.
“I don’t really care what it is and why it is. What I care about is that I’m wasting my Wednesday night…”
“Ah, yes, Wednesday night,” Temari repeated mockingly, “Because I know that I like getting plastered in the middle of the week.” Kisame leaned towards you on his left arm cushion.
“Soy Sauce over there is just sore that her brother picked a fight with one of my boys and lost. Sasori’s a short guy too, you should link with us sometime.” You heard Temari scoff.
“Yeah, like Kankuro would lose to any of the thugs you hang around—”
“Who are you calling a thug?” Temari met Kisame’s pointed glare. Even so, he sank farther into his seat, lifting one ankle to rest on his knee. “Though, I think it says something that you knew exactly what I was talking about—” He punctuated every word with a smug swing of his head before Shino walked in.
“Nice to see that things are lively in here.” He made his way across the lounge before plopping down next to Temari. A white piece of cloth hung out from his backpack, something that Temari didn’t miss as Shino prepared his materials.
“That’s a hazard.” She bit the inside of her lip.
“Don’t listen to her. She’s been grumpy since before you came here,” Kisame quickly explained, much to Temari’s disdain.
Looking across from you, you almost wished that you had just been paired up with Shino. You didn’t know him that well, but he seemed smart, capable and overall, quiet. Temari had drive, but her approach felt intense. Meanwhile, Kisame seemed like he couldn’t care less about the project. Or perhaps, it was more that he couldn’t care less about Temari.
“So the paper,” you began out of sheer nervousness. “And the presentation…” The three sets of eyes turned to you. You glanced at the clock. You had already wasted more than a half hour.
“Let’s be real here, a five page research paper is nothing,” Temari said, also crossing her legs. “It’s the presentation that we should worry about.” Kisame let out a breath.
“Well, here I was about to say the opposite.” He turned his neck to the side and you heard a few audible cracks. “What about we split it up if the paper is so easy for you?”
“I’m not just doing the paper by myself. Besides, I’d need to find sources and by the time I’ve found sources and written everything up, I’ll have done most of the work.” Temari wrinkled her nose at your partner next to you. “I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what you were banking on.”
“Here.” Shino’s low voice broke through the room. With one exaggerated click on his keyboard he looked up at the three of you. “I just put a list of sources in the shared doc. There’s ten of them which should be more than enough. I pulled a few articles and a few academic papers which should meet the criteria from the rubric.”
Temari blinked down at her computer, furiously switching tabs. Her lips formed a round ‘o’ shape.
“Nice work, Shino,” you praised only to receive a shy nod. “I think if we take an anti-censorship stance, it’ll make out work easier given the time that we have to finish. Maybe Temari, you can start the paper and I can start the slides.”
“I can help you with that,” Kisame offered and you typed his email into the share box.
“I’ll help Temari with the paper,” Shino said with another nod.
“Start with the counterarguments. I’ll work from the top, you work from the bottom.” Temari gestured widely to Shino’s screen and you let out a relieved sigh. Maybe you’ll be able to get all of this done after all.
Time flew during the late hours of the night. You didn’t know what it was about the nighttime that made time feel quicker than usual. Soon enough, the clock struck one. Temari plucked ferociously at her laptop and it surprised you that Kisame hadn’t asked her what she was punishing her keyboard for. Shino, on the other hand, liked to stand. About an hour ago, he had stood up from his seat, and with one foot on the low level of the coffee table, kept at writing his part of the paper. Temari and Shino didn’t speak much. Rather, their side of the table mostly sounded of clicking.
Meanwhile, you and Kisame were having a great time. He made you laugh much to Temari’s annoyance, but knowing that you were getting your parts done, she didn’t comment. Despite his outward physique, Kisame had a sense of style when it came to design and organization. You flew through fonts and images quickly and by the time you had cleared the first few slides, even you were impressed by how professional it looked. The clock read two o’clock.
“This was your conclusion, right?” You turned your screen in your hands to face Temari. She squinted over and her eyes lit up.
“Actually, that’s a way better wording. Imma just steal that…” She clicked some more. “That’s some great work.”
“It was actually all Kisame.” And to your surprise, he didn’t gloat. Instead, he remained eerily focused. Temari glanced at him before glancing away.
“Like I said, great work…” she muttered.
“We’re almost done with the slides,” you announced, “Do you guys need help with the paper?” Shino shook his head. You found that he preferred non-verbal answers.
“We’re wrapping up over here, too,” Temari answered.
“Good, because I’m fuckin’ starving.”
And with the one mention of food, you all looked up at each other.
***
There was only one place open this late at night and it was one block away from campus. Fast Food, of course, but no one in your group complained. The dining halls were closed and most of you didn’t keep your rolling pantries stocked with anything worth eating at two in the morning, so you packed up your things.
It felt odd walking down the road with this group of people. You chattered amongst yourselves about anything other than your assignment.
“Me? I’m a biology major. I want to study beetles but I have to get my undergrad before I can do anything really specific.” By far, Shino had to be the most interesting of you all. You made your way off of campus, the restaurant in your sight. And as the walk continued, so did your conversation.
“I’ve wanted to try the new place that they opened up by admissions but they’re always closed when I try to go.” Temari pouted and you crossed the street together. You wondered if spending four straight hours having to communicate with any three people could make talking to them this easy.
“Marine biology?” You stared up at Kisame. “I don’t think I would have guessed.” He let out a hearty laugh that sent a few birds flying.
“Oh yeah, they have us go out of labs for the whole day. And when I say the whole day, I mean the whole day. I’ve always loved the ocean, but I think I’d have to transfer if I had to wake up at seven and come back at eight for more than one day a week.” Kisame reached for the handle, only for it not to budge in his grip. He tried again.
“Are they closed?” you asked, getting slightly agitated at the prospect.
“No.” Shino cupped his hands around his eyes as he stared through the window. “Wet floor signs are out. This must be the time that they clean the dining room.” Shino hardly had to finish his sentence before Kisame was already on his way to the drive thru.
“Hey, wait a minute,” Temari yelled after him as she jogged to catch up. “You can’t just walk through the drive thru.”
“Sure you can.” Kisame stood directly in front of the speaker with his hands in his pockets. “There are no cars around and even if there were, they’d have to take our order to get us out of the way… Hello?” The speaker crackled and Kisame shot a pointed look at the rest of you before moting for you to come closer to order.
“What can I get you?” the apathetic worker droned.
“Can I get a number nine?” Kisame started.
“Oh me too,” you whispered to him, not entirely sure why you spoke with such a hushed tone. He crossed his arms with a smirk.
“Make that two number nines? One large—” He stepped back to let Temari come up to the speaker.
“May I please get a number six with extra sauce, please? And, uh, a number seven too, please.” Like Kisame before her, Temari stepped to allow Shino to talk.
“Two number forty-fives, one with cheese and a large soda.”
With nowhere else to sit, you claimed a spot in the empty parking lot. Temari ended up paying. You put up a fight, but she insisted. You were secretly convinced that she was loaded anyway.
“You two got a lot of food.” Kisame handed you your fillet burger. Temari hummed, taking one of her backs and folded it behind her.
“One’s for my boyfriend,” she said, and before Kisame could get out a snarky comment about how Temari could ever land a boyfriend, Shino answered,
“I just usually eat all at once. Can’t usually grab dinner while doing night labs.” You all grimaced to yourselves. You knew the feeling of skipping meals because of your schedules.
You looked out at the city. Your school sat on a hill just outside of the twinkling lights. You found comfort in the blinking that came from below and your surroundings made the atmosphere feel completely still.
“You know, if we have a choice, we should just stick together for the rest of the semester.” Shino’s monotone voice cut through the air. You turned to the rest of them. Temari shrugged.
“It’s less of a gamble since we know each other, I suppose. I know that most of you won’t mess up our assignments…” You and Kisame nodded along, both stuffing your faces with french fries.
The decision was unanimous.
Thank you to all who liked, reblogged, followed and otherwise supported. Your support means so much and is greatly appreciated.
Notes:
Shino’s lab coat was in with his regular supplies which is technically a hazard when working in chem and bio labs since lab coats should be sealed.
Not all fast-food places well take your order without a car, but if you block the line they’ll give in (that’s what I did). Don’t blame me if you get arrested for doing that though.

Problems You May Encounter Your First Week of Studying Abroad (Part 1):
AKA everything that went wrong for me
Studying abroad in Europe for a semester? Congratulations!! It will (hopefully) be one of the best experiences of your life! Ngl, that first week(s) is going to kick. your. ass. I SHOULD KNOW. So I wrote out LITERALLY everything that went wrong for me in hopes that you won’t make the same mistakes I did.
1. Your original packing plan is JUST NOT WORKING OUT OKAY
holy shit was this a problem for me. My initial packing plan was a massive checked duffel bag, a large-ish carry-on suitcase, and my backpack. That plan died quickly. ADAPT. Whether this means taking out some clothes and paring down the essentials even more, or you bite the bullet and fucking buy a bigger suitcase (aka me). Also, high-key recommend packing sooner than 2 nights before you need to leave; that way, if you do need to buy a bigger suitcase, you have the time to get a good and inexpensive one you like.
2. Your checked luggage is more expensive than planned.
This one was all my fault and could have easily been fixed by me checking the airline’s checked bag rates for INTERNATIONAL flights instead of DOMESTIC. In my defense, I was in distress because suddenly 1/4 of my clothes weren’t going to make it to Paris (see above problem). So either check the right fucking website initially (recommended), or swallow down the “holy-crap-this-is-expensive” vomit at the airport, pay for it, and learn from your mistakes. Or my mistakes. Either one.
3. YOUR CHECKED LUGGAGE GETS LOST
First things first: take a second at baggage claim to be pissed and frustrated and terrified. Then take a deep breath and go find an airline clerk who can help you and be nice to them. They did NOT personally chuck your bag out the plane as it was taking off. They will help you! Make sure you have your checked bag receipts with you, a description of the bag (hopefully you put a bright-ass luggage tag or ribbon on it), an ADDRESS it can be sent to, and a number they can call. For me, the address was my study abroad office and their phone number. My office did all the communicating with the airline, tracking it down and making sure it got to me. In the end, it took almost 5 days for me to receive the bag that contained literally all my clothes
Which brings me to my next point! Make sure your carry-on has AT LEAST 1 change of clothes, some underwear and socks, a pair of pajamas, travel-size toiletries of important things (like contact solution), and warm weather gear if necessary. Personally, I wish I had brought 2 shirts and one more pair of jeans. But I also went 5 days without clothes - most people get their bags within 24-72 hours (HA).
4. The drive to your study abroad office/home makes you nauseous and you don’t get to see any sites!
@me lol. First tip: don’t sit backwards in the vehicle if you have the option not to. Second, take some pepto-bismol or Tums or drink a sprite/ginger ale as soon as you can! Hopefully all your medications were in your carry on. I ended up with my eyes closed and head down for most of the ride, and I was pissed because I missed my first views of Paris! In the end, it didn’t matter. Walking Paris is a lot nicer than driving through it, and honestly I was so overwhelmed I don’t think seeing anything would have helped my inner navigator.
5. You can’t get into your apartment
You made it. You got out of the car with all your luggage, you have your keys, you made it up the stairs/elevator if you’re lucky. Now you’re at your front door and it. just. won’t. open. F*** this. First things first, take some deep breaths. Next, check your paperwork and make sure you are on the right floor and in front of the right apartment. For me, this meant checking that the doormat in the picture I was given matched that of the door in front of me. Now, be patient. Start with the deadbolt. In Paris, you’ll turn it at least 2 times, sometimes 2.5. Next, try the handle lock. Again, 2.5 turns and pull the door towards you a little bit to help it not stick. Doesn’t open? Check to see what’s going on. Does it seem to want to open by the handle, but not near the deadbolt? You may have accidentally locked the deadbolt. So turn the key the other way in the deadbolt, then try the bottom lock again. Still not opening? Turn the bottom lock the other way and see if that helps. KEEP TRYING. If you’re in front of the right door and just keep experimenting, it will open eventually. Also, I don’t know if it’s true for all doors in Paris, but mine unlocks with clockwise turns and lock with counterclockwise turns.
6. Your apartment is not what you were expecting
HOLY CRAP was this an issue for me. I had watched so many videos on Parisian studios/apartments, I thought I knew what was coming. The kitchen would be tiny, I wouldn’t have a dryer, I’d have minimal space in general. That was find. I was NOT expecting:
-the toilet to be separated from the sink and shower/tub by an entire room
-no drawers for clothes - all open shelving
-no oven, only a microwave
-weird pillows/comforters
So what do you do when nothing is how you like it? First you let yourself cry a bit (see the next item on this list) and call your mom if you can. Then you take a deep breath (are you seeing a theme yet?) and Figure Shit Out. How can you fix things and make them better?
-the toilet to be separated from the sink and shower/tub by an entire room: I bought a bottle of hand sanitizer to keep in the bathroom for emergencies, like if my roommate is using the shower. Otherwise, I just avoid touching door handles to go to the sink.
-no drawers for clothes - all open shelving: My issue with this? My panties and bras don’t need to be on display for everyone who comes over, spilling everywhere. Buy some baskets. There’s a discount store on rue de Rivoli called Tati that sells pretty inexpensive baskets and other organizational stuff. Get what you need and know that you can trash it or leave it for the next person. Display your prettiest stuff, like scarves or sweaters, on the more public shelves.
-no oven, only a microwave: I’m still figuring out how to deal with this. My main thing is toast. My roommate and I are not sure how to make toast without an oven or toaster. But otherwise, we have a pretty fancy microwave that we are working out how to use, and I’m going to get really good at pan frying things! (or just make a lot of pasta. Probably just make a lot of pasta).
-weird pillows/comforters - Buy another pillow. Monoprix had them for like 8 euros I think? And I had packed a pillow case from home. You can also buy another blanket, but I brought a blanket and top sheet from home. They will keep you warm, even if they aren’t a down duvet with pleating or whatever.
Have a problem and not sure how to fix it? Call your mom. Talk to your housing director. They probably have extra hangers, or can hook you up with that missing shower curtain.
7. You have a panic attack in the middle of the day and can’t call your mom because #time change.
This will only affect you if your flight gets in early like mine did. If you’re landing at like 4pm, your family should be awake by the time you get to your apartment. For me, I got to my apartment, freaked out, sat down on my bed to have a good hysterical crying session, and then 30 seconds later I heard my BRAND NEW ROOMMATE, whom I HAD NEVER MET BEFORE, trying to unlock the door. Talk about a bad first impression. I have never tried to clean up my face so fast. Meeting my roommate went fine, but I wish I had the time to cry it out. I think I would have been more willing to figure shit out. Instead, I took a 6 hour nap, woke up to eat dinner, and went back to bed. I was awake for a long time okay? But that’s the best advice I can give. Have your freak out, take a SHORT nap if necessary, eat a snack, and then figure shit out. Or play games on your phone until you CAN call your mom. Up to you. But you’ll scare her less if you can call her without crying.
This has become a long-ass post, so please see part two for everything else that can go wrong during your first week!

Donald Trump Is Winning Since White America Is Perishing
As all of us are reaching out to build a much better lead generation and also sales computer mouse trap, I believe we sometimes lose sight of the crucial elements it requires to truly requires to win the sales and advertising video game. Crystal is a two-time TEDx thought leader, international keynote audio speaker, and writer of The Millennial Myth: Changing Misunderstanding right into Work environment Breakthroughs Her technique, Invati Consulting, helps Lot of money 500 business browse the intersection of 2 of today's most vital trends, millennial actions, as well as future of job, via method, training, and also organizational layout interventions. Advertising and marketing leads the adhering to activities in a lot of business: brand, digital advertising, marketing, social networks, public connections, promotion, placing, marketing research, lead generation, marketing analytics, affordable knowledge, and customer experience (see Number for a total listing). With the white tag SEO record, most of the involved prospects would either be serving their set of clients or aiming to recognize the state of exactly how pleasant their internet site is, according to Google's internet search engine specifications. Regardless of what technique you utilize to produce NETWORK MARKETING leads, your technique and also message ought to constantly remember your target market, their requirements, and also wishes, and also just how you or your product or service can help accomplish them. Just a few months later, in October, Facebook officially released their new ad format, called Facebook Lead Ads Lots of small biz proprietors, advertising agency, and advertising and marketing companies have been anxiously awaiting the launch of the new advertisement tool, with the hopes that they can produce extra baits Facebook, as the brand-new layout would certainly call for much less initiative for its customers to send their get in touch with details. Kevin: Something I 'd add as for vital aspects of a website, and also I make sure your listeners are well aware of the latest changes to Google's algorithm by the time this podcast comes out, yet the bottom line is if your site is not mobile pleasant, it's mosting likely to be increasingly more challenging for you to place in search results page therefore simply go ahead and suck it up if your site isn't mobile pleasant now, get a redesign that's responsive which satisfies the current best techniques because regard to make sure that you will not be slapped by future updates from Google. I really did not wish to give my actual telephone number because, in my experience, providing such info means that you will certainly start getting call, a great deal of them, nearly immediately from people attempting to press you into for-profit college programs. I indicate I have actually usually told people that say I just do not have time for social media sites, do something; find some means to offer your customers utilizing it. Just as you stated a team or something on Facebook or following them on Twitter, making a Twitter list of them and a minimum of checking in daily as well as seeing what your clients are claiming. If you depend extra on repeat organisation than preliminary sales, or if a lot of your sales as well as profits happen when customers repeat purchase from you over and over, you ought to be doing everything feasible to inspire as several consumers as you can to make their preliminary purchasing decision as swiftly and conveniently as possible. As long as this does not make up a proxy for a financing term or condition, it is normally appropriate; that is, the lending officer might also be reimbursed for lead generation as well as various other legitimate service expenses, but the lender has to beware of how this may function as a proxy for conditions and terms. This understanding caused the belief that companies would love to have the possibility to have their advertising and marketing needs met by a company devoted to offering the most effective Internet Marketing Programs readily available at a sensible cost with a high roi. An effective list building service will bring even more people not just into the sales funnel, however all the way via it. With fierce competitors looming around, the choice of the appropriate remedy can help advertising and marketing teams to maintain a constant circulation of certified leads throughout the sales funnel. Although there may not be an over wealth of expertise regarding where to offer the leads, that is where the business is. As well as, with a little assistance, which you will most definitely discover right here, you will certainly remain in the placement to make money and sell. Capitalist leads are considered to have some disposable earnings that they can utilize to participate in appropriate investment chances in exchange for return on investment in the kind of interest, dividend, earnings sharing or asset appreciation.

So, they do not rehearse ‘separately.’ They’re all in the same building, working in the same space with one another, but with some productions, there are rules in place that prevent male and female cast from posting online about interacting with each other. Haikyuu has always been oddly strict in this area. I wish I could say it’s a trend for JUMP series, but I’ve seen Naruto stage cast do pretty much whatever they want, so that’s not the case. Burimyu had some restrictions, but the authorized costume photos were pretty shippy at times, so they didn’t care that much about being ‘proper.’
Engeki Haikyuu has never allowed the actors to take backstage photos while in costume or full make-up, and I figured this would extend to forbidding the actors and actresses from posting unauthorized shots of them working together. I guarantee that they’re all having fun with guys and girls combined, and that once a DVD is out for this show we’d see that in backstage footage (assuming they include backstage footage).
Yes, it is a cultural thing, but it’s a slightly old-fashioned way of doing things and it also doesn’t apply to every show that these actors will ever work on. Most productions nowadays don’t care so much about backstage selfies in-costume or having guys and girls take photos together. But the productions with rules about it are ones that tend to care very deeply about separating the characters from the actors and making sure that there is no room for misinterpretation or misrepresentation of a character by an actor goofing around backstage.
Eventually as they begin touring and they start taking authorized costume selfies backstage, we’ll probably see Yacchan with Kageyama and Hinata... or Saeko and Tanaka... but prior to that I highly doubt it.
Back when I first started doing this... it was mostly for organizational purposes. I follow all of them on Twitter and IG and track their ameblos, but trying to find an old post on Twitter is a PAIN and archiving isn’t what you use that site for. Tumblr is pretty good for archiving purposes assuming you tag everything properly, and then eventually as the posts I made gained traction, it just sort of spiraled into... this.
Nothing happened to them, they’re just not going to be in the next show. It’ll be focused on the summer training camp arc, and their characters aren’t in the story. Allen and Kousuke are working on other productions, and I’ve always had a general rule about not updating on actors that aren’t currently working on Engeki Haikyuu. This is why I don’t update on Datekou or Seijoh and other previous cast members unless they’re interacting with current cast members.
I mean... whatever they post, I’ll post as they occur.
I can tell you general character ships, but I think you’re asking me if I ship the actors, which I don’t. I love when they interact in the pairs that allow me to indulge and pretend it’s one of my ships, but I don’t actually ship them as people. I know I use ‘Ryouken’ as a tag on this blog, but I don’t mean it as a romantic ship name, it’s just that those two hang out a lot and usually interact very cutely.
Assuming that I’m remembering the exact thing you’re talking about... that bit of choreography did not end up being in the final play. A lot of times they mess around with ideas and choreography during rehearsals, and they don’t make it to the final show or they get modified heavily from original concept to finished product. I’ve read in interviews where sometimes an actor will have to change a bit of choreography a week or less before the curtain rises on opening night; just how it goes~

It will be the first time the world championship, officially the Geico Bassmaster Classic, has been held on wholly Texas water; the 1979 Classic was held on Lake Texoma, a reservoir Texas shares with Oklahoma. And that has many Texas bass anglers, especially those who follow the professional bass tour or participate in competitive bass fishing ecstatic at the opportunity of seeing a Classic up close. "I'm 54 years old, but I'm as giddy as a kid before Christmas about the Classic coming to Conroe," said Mark Hooker , a life-long bass angler who has fished bass tournaments for more than 20 years and coaches the highly competitive Montgomery High School Fishing Club in the state's high school bass tournament series. "Bass fishing is huge in Texas. We have some of the best fishing in the country, and some of the best fishermen - Texas has had more fishermen in the Classic than any other state. "This is a great chance to see the best fishermen in the world doing what they do best - see how they fish, the tackle they use, how they make decisions, how they rig their boats. It's a great learning opportunity," Hooker said. "It's almost criminal that the Classic's never been on a (wholly) Texas lake. But it is now." "We've been wanting to bring the Classic to Texas for a long time," said Michael Mulone , director of events and tourism partnerships for Bass Anglers Sportsman Society , the Alabama-based fishing organization that spawned the Classic and is primarily responsible for the rise and development of competitive bass fishing over the past nearly half-century.
