Those stripes on Akutagawa's cheeks are rashomon (& I doubt it's tiger stripes). If we look at chapters 35 & 36, while sskk were fighting Fitzgerald, Akutagawa had those stripes there too

... So this could mean nothing. That said, the marks look slightly different in the last chapter, and there's also the fact that they're present in the anime concept arts, while they aren't in the case of Tenma Tengai.

Someone also pointed out that Akutagawa's pose in the season 5 scene looks very awkward, almost makes it it look like it was made *specifically* to hide the right side of his face, which is precisely where the marks from the concept art are.

Which all considered could mean the signs have a plot relevance to them after all. That said, it's just speculations, this really could mean nothing.

something that's happening to me a lot lately is, like. very calmly stepping away from myself and going "oh, buddy, we are not doing well."

and, like, it's way less weird when it's "OH GOD I'M NOT COPING WHAT DO I DO I CAN'T DO THIS ANY MORE". somehow, it's much more disconcerting to just experience it as a matter-of-fact observation. oh. i'm having a breakdown. well, that's inconvenient. wonder if i should put the kettle on.

What do you think Nick and Sunny's ethnicities are?

I've always somewhat headcanonned Sunny as Japanese-American, and Basil as having at least one European parent, both living in Europe, and an American grandmother. I have no idea where that second headcanon comes from. It's probably me projecting my own French-ness onto my favorite little blorbo -- another explanation is that OMORI seems to be pretty explicitely set in the USA, but Basil's parents are said to travel frequently and Sunny's never seen them in his life... and since it's easier to travel in Europe in my (limited) experience, my brain might've just made the association. Sunny being Japanese-American is a pretty popular headcanon because of his chara-design so I don't feel like I have to explain that one.

Anyway, they both live in France for plot reasons.

RIGHT, i did post on here about that, didn't i?? ummm. Not So Much™ lol. like, less than a week after she texted me about wanting to play matchmaker, she found out her girlfriend of 4 years had been repeatedly and actively cheating on her with multiple strangers soooo. NOT quite sure that romance is on her brain right now, yikes. i DID text her earlier today to let her know that i got drinks with him and she seemed excited for me but that's kind of it lol. i think given where she's at now, she might like. quietly root for me but i don't expect much more effort on her part understandably.

so tudum is happening this weekend. tomorrow in brazil at 5:30 br / 3:30 pm cst. st is somehow going to be involved, though no actors have been named as appearing, as far as i’m aware. very likely it’s going to be something small considering s5 hasn’t started filming yet. could even be just something related to the play. 

it might be more bts from s4. if it’s s5 related, there has been an interesting casting rumor that’s popped up recently. idk, and there’s been no word about it, but. we’ll see tomorrow lol.
