miss sal omg can i be emo on here for a bit T____T so like i've been,,,rly depressed w my art right??? i couldn't even,,,look at or touch my ipad without feeling the urge to cry KDBSJDN but but i posted on this one group n stuff, and on the picture it had one of my own merch (it was my memo pad design of the miyas; it wasn't the main point of the post, it was just there lol) and someone reached out to me n asked if they could buy it bc they thought it was really cute???? n then they asked me if i had other stuff n they ended up buying those too T______T n then they told me to hit them up if i ever open my commissions again and aAAAAAAAA 😭 honestly it's just,,, one person n just one tiny thing but i genuinely felt so thankful to the point of tears help,,,,just feels nice to be appreciated like that when i've been so hard on myself for the past months T___T like wow ok maybe i'm not completely worthless

fav characters: oh boy here we go!!!! tohru, yuki, kyo, hana, arisa least fav characters: -i haven’t met him yet but tohru’s dad . a high school teacher dating a middle schooler?? electric chair -shigure (a bit mixed because i hear that there’s a lot more to shigure’s character so he’s on thin ice for now) -akito hhhh mixed on them because i know reasons are explained for her actions but her actions still weren’t….. great…. so for now i don’t like her ))):i think that’s it for now since i haven’t read the manga so i don’t really know much about the others ghjkdfghffav relationship: oh here we go babey (these are all platonic and in no order by the way!!)-tohru and yuki: oh my god . okay hello i’m going to start this by saying i initially shipped them a bit when i rewatched fruits basket back in december, but after seeing people talk about how miss honda helps yuki grow and that he realizes he doesn’t have romantic feelings for her and that they’re more of motherly feelings, i no longer ship them! i just really really love their relationship and i love that tohru was able to help yuki grow. yuki grew up being isolated, abused, and was told that he was strange and that no one will ever love him (?) or want to be near him. hello, that makes me so fucking sad babey 

when tohru found out that her memories might have to be erased and she told yuki that she still wanted to be friends, i wanted to CRY LADIES!!! oh fuck man like…. hello???? yuki went from being isolated, hurt, and did not have friends to . being told this, that someone wanted to be friends with him. i . the thing is it’s not like he was disliked throughout his whole life, a lot of the girls at school adored and admired Prince Yuki Sohma, but they didn’t know him for who he really was, so i feel like that caused him to feel even more isolated (perhaps in a different way than he was during his childhood) and lonely, as well as misunderstood. so when tohru genuinely said that she wanted to stay friends with him, it probably felt different from the girls who fawned over him and i think he felt that, which makes me so happy like i T______T 

and i just really love how nice yuki is to tohru ghdfjgh like we either get rude, ass kicking yuki (i love his rudeness, idk why) (maybe not the ass kicking part though, i feel so bad for kyo gjfkdgh) or nwice yuki, which i really love idk he’s really gentle and sweet when it comes to her and that warms my heart babey

but yeah i love how she helps him to open up and become closer to the truest version of himself. i love the lines she says to him and you can see that it has an impact on him. i really can’t wait to see more of his growth and their relationship like i’m soooooo excited oh my god

-tohru and kyo: i haven’t read the manga so i haven’t seen their growth but the small glimpses i’ve seen have been so cute, i’m so excited to see more!!! for now, what i have to say is something i actually talked about the other day!!!!! when kyo usually interacts with others, he comes off very angry and short tempered. during my rewatch, i didn’t think much of it, but i noticed it while watching the current anime. i don’t think he’s actually an Angry person, but rather those feelings are probably a result of the resentment he has towards things and it’s all pent up. also, i don’t believe he ever really got to properly deal with those feelings, so it makes it harder to control them, understandably! 

what i noticed is that when he interacts with tohru at first, he gets mad and lashes out at her, but he doesn’t actually mean to! what i love is how as the episodes progress, you see him get mad, but then he stops, gets embarrassed, and then explains what he means to say. i think that is so important. and i like to believe that he probably is able to do this because tohru has shown herself to be kind, patient, and as someone who isn’t dismissive, she’s someone who cares! so it’s possible that her welcoming personality has encouraged kyo to hm . what’s the word . like, explain himself more?? because i feel like with shigure and yuki, he probably doesn’t have a chance to do that because the established relationships he has with the both of them are not. great gjdfkd so!! yweah i hope that made sense jgkfhdgj i just really love how, like with yuki, tohru is able to help kyo open up more

-arisa and tohru: so i hear that there’s more about miss honda and miss arisa’s friendship in the manga and i’m soooo excited because i love them so much )))): miss uotani clearly cares about tohru so much and i love that a lot

also when she talks about how kyoko and tohru helped save and improve her life…. i felt that babey i’m so happy they became friends )))): 

-tohru and hana: hello. my fucking heart babey . whenever i think about hana and tohru i get so emo god i . first can i say that i love that she and uotani protect tohru from the fan club girls like gjfdkgh i love them ))):

okay okay these are the moments that absolutely killed me!!!!!!!!!! when they’re all visiting kyoko’s grave and she and uotani had just said bye to tohru, kyo, and yuki. she and uotani talk about how much tohru has healed and grown since her mother’s death and hana goes on to talk about how tohru has kept it all together and endured so much. she then says that had she been the one to lose someone, she wouldn’t be able to be the same as tohru. oh my god…. when she says that had she lost tohru, it would hurt so much that she would wish that she hadn’t met her……. hello, my heart fucking BROKE T____T the fact that she loves tohru so much that losing her would make her wish that…. my heart zude 

the next moment that makes me really emo gjkdflghdfg is when the fan club girls visit her house. it’s the scene towards the end where arisa and tohru show up at her door and as she’s watching them, she thinks about how it’s like to love someone and that with loving someone comes good and bad things. she then goes on to say that no matter what, her weakness will always be tohru T_______T 

i just….. really love how much she loves and cares for tohru….. her love for tohru just feels so tender and kind ))): it makes my heart so warm, i’m so glad that tohru has such loving friends who care about her and love her so deeply ))))): -kyo and arisa: omg edit how did i forget them i love their friendship so much and i hope we get to see more of it in future episodes!!! they’re so rowdy and funny i love them so much gjdfskgkfdjgfd

-i haven’t met kakeru yet but i really like!!! what i’ve seen of yuki and kakeru’s relationship!!! they seem so fun

fav moment:-hana during the endurance run gkjfdglh when she’s like ‘oh tohru i can’t go on anymore’ and is just v dramatic about it jdfkghf-when hana is seen playing cards with her classmates off to the side during the run gfjdkgfj-when tohru gets a bad score and hana is like ‘oh don’t worry tohru, i failed All my tests’ gjfdsghdfjgh-the secret base-yuki summoning his rats, i think that’s so funny hjfdgjfhg-when tohru told kyo that she loves cats -DJKGDFJG IN THE NEW ANIME WHEN YUKI KNOCKS ON TOHRU’S GRANDFATHER’S DOOR AND HE’S LIKE ‘no one’s answering??’ and kyo is just like ‘move it. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!’ gkldfsjgkfdjgkf-in the newest episode when yuki pushed his hair back a bit, that was so cute ))):-also in the newest episode, towards the end of the episode when shigure said yuki was ‘in pieces’, and yuki got so shy and cute hgjdfkghfkdjgf-jgkfdhjgdfh when shigure told tohru and yuki that kyo would be attending school with them, and yuki stood up and was just like ‘don’t eat get out die’-when kyo jumped out of the window in response to being too overwhelmed. first of all, dare i say, kin-when hana was curling tohru’s hair in class-omg when hana dramatically did the thing with the cards, i love her -the moment after the typhoon ended and yuki told tohru that he’d be up to play rich man poor man!!! i loved when he said that he would work on being bothered by others and that he’d slowly do better ))))): and then when he smiled a genuine smile, i cry-i mentioned this already but when kyo works on how he interacts with tohru, my heart ))):-OH when yuki flicked?? tohru’s asshole of a cousin so hard that his glasses fell off GJDFKLGJFKGSJDFGFDJ -omg omg that reminds me, in the recent episode!! when kyo and yuki were watching what was happening from outside of the window and kyo wanted to go in and help, yuki stopped him and said to listen and hear what tohru wanted because that was what was important-when kyo told tohru that it’s okay for her to be selfish and speak up about what she wants )))): i feel like that was something she really needed to hear and i love that he told her that-okay not a fave overall but. okay when momiji was telling tohru about his mother, that shit was HEARTBREAKING as shit, but what i liked ??? was when he said that even though the memories of her are painful in a way, he still wouldn’t erase them )))): -whenever arisa and kyo bicker, i love it jgkdfhgjsdhgfdjg they’re SO funny -yuki and the newspaper boy when kagura was about to transform gfkjdlghfkj-omg wait two more sorry gkjdfsgljdfksgjf when . fucking . in the 01 anime . when they were all playing badminton together and yuki talked about . how that was all he wanted, a warm childhood, a place where everyone had fun and smiled together, and parents that would embrace him )))))): FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!-okay last one i promise: when . they went to the vacation place??? oh the lake hgjfkdgh and yuki, tohru, and kyo were walking in the foresty area and tohru was apologizing for doing something wrong because kyo and yuki weren’t acting normal or something???? and yuki responded by saying that he’s gotten so used to tohru’s presence that he feels really comfortable and at ease with her ))))): my heart……………………………. demolished

headcanons/theories: -i’m going to try my best-au where kyo and yuki meet tohru while they’re kids and no sohma curse or anything, none of that!!!! she befriends them easily and they all get along and grow up together ))): -okay okay i don’t know anything about arisa’s family but hm. i’m thinking maybe she doesn’t have that great of a support system at home??? so after kyoko saves arisa from the yankee ?? girls??? she has arisa stay with her and tohru for a while and i think . that’s so cute ))): they go to school together, they go shopping, out to eat, to the park, to amusement parks, and all that together -this is probably canon but i’m going do it anyway i like to think that tohru helps yuki with his gardening and they bond a lot over that -oh oh since yuki has a garden, i like to think that this would be like. oh hm oh okay i feel like tohru suggests growing vegetables so they can be used to cook and one day!!!! tohru sort of teaches yuki how to cook and they bond over that hehe-oh remember when tohru checked out books on martial arts and gardening i think that after she reads the martial arts one, she talks to kyo about it and shows him the moves she’s learned and he helps her and teaches her more stuff on that!! oh my heart -if there’s a bug in the house, kyo or yuki summon their respective animals to see who can get it first. chaos -this is not related to anything at all but i like to think that yuki, tohru, kyo, hana, and arisa have monthly picnics-okay i think this is all i have jgkfdhgfkjgf

THE IDOLM@STER SideM 3rdLIVE TOUR report - Makuhari Day 2

The group lineup for Day 2: Dramatic Stars, S.E.M, Cafe Parade, Altessimo, and Legenders. (See set list here.)

Suffice to say, this DraSta/SEM/LegeP died and went to heaven. I had an AltessimoP sitting to my left and a SEM-P on the other side; we pretty much took turns dying throughout the 3.5-hour concert LOL. Also today I had a much better seat compared to yesterday’s live-viewing, which allowed me to appreciate the show even more!! For starters, I could actually see the whole screen this time....

Karino Sho was the MC for today; he gave his signature “SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO desu” greeting, and told us that the concept for today’s performances was “Show!” ....Then proceeded to make a pun of it with his name wwww

With all the groups present on stage, the first song was Reason!!, followed by Cafe’s Reversed Masquerade. Lege took the stage for Symphonic Brave, then it was Alte’s turn for Tone’s Destiny. So far all songs that were in yesterday’s set list.

AND THEN

I GOT TO HEAR SEM SING SAYONARA SUMMER HOLIDAY!!!!! SEM! SUMMER! HOLIDAY!!!! HOLY SHIT DEM HIP THRUSTS UGH SENSEI NOT IN FRONT OF YOUR STUDENTS!!! Yoshiki was downright OBSCENE enokiya's singing was shaky as usual and Totto’s dancing is still stiff (so endearing ;w;) but honestly it didn't matter bc IT'S SEMMMMM

And without giving us time to recover DRASTA BURST ONTO THE STAGE FOR MOON NIGHT NO SEI NI SHITE AND I SCREAMED SO LOUD SKSHAKSHSJDBNAJDHSKDJDN THEY GAVE US THE SLY LOOKS AND BEDROOM EYES AND NAUGHTY WINKS AND LIP-LICKING AND "OIDE ♥" IT WAS HORRIBLE I DIED ABOUT 50000 TIMES you could tell they were having the time of their lives performing it too T_T My throat pretty much died since I was making dying whale sounds the entire time lol i tried not to use my voice after that but the set list continued to be amazing so I couldn’t stop myself from screaming cheering and joining in the song calls.....

After allowing us a short break by way of talk time, part 2 kicked off with Kamiya’s solo A Cup of Happiness! His dance routine included the use of a sparkly pink cane >< So cute and stylish....... Halfway through the song Legenders’ Amehiko and Chris joined him on stage with their own white canes and i freaked out omggggggggg this three make such a handsome picture T_T God, Chris’ long legs and fashion model proportions.,.....

The rest of Cafe Parade joined Kamiya on stage for Cafe Parade! (my fav song of theirs!), and after that was Rei-chan’s solo Echoes My Note, and Alte’s first single The 1st Movement. The AlteP next to me was whimpering the entire time ;w;

I lost my shit again when Lege hopped on stage for String of Fate....... I’ve wanted to watch this R18 performance since forever........ Amehiko’s voice is so smooth and gorgeous and deadly, it’s almost hilarious that his seiyuu Kasama-san is a total gentleman who loves cats and has the temperament of a marshmallow T_T However the strongest singer was probably Fuumin, he hit all the notes consistently (and looked beautiful from every angle gdi).

After another talk break, part 3 began with SEM's Infinite Possibilities!!!! Another classic hit from SideM...... Every time Totto unleashed his magnificent vibrato at "koeTEEEEEEE" we'd burst into cheers!!! They used the pink laser guns in the choreography too, so cute ><

Next was Alte’s Never End Opus....... The famed performance that reduces everyone to tears......... My AlteP buddy was sobbing and even I felt my eyes prickle........ Such a beautiful, heart-wrenching song T_____T

Dramatic Nonfiction!!!! This is my 2nd fav song from DraSta after Moon Night and i know i keep repeating myself, but i’m SO happy that i got to hear them perform this live T_______T It’s uncharacteristically moody for DraSta, the dance choreograph is sexy af and IN THE SECOND VERSE THEY HAD A CAMERAMAN WITH THEM ON STAGE AND THEY UNLEASHED /MAXIMUM/ FANSERVICE AT THE CAMERA DURING THEIR SOLO LINES UGHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE DRASTA, JUST KILL ME (THEY KILLED ME) At that moment I was actually grateful to be at a live-viewing instead of the venue 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Then Cafe Parade hopped on board the the rail trolleys for A La Carte Freedom, throwing rubber balls at the audience like HiJo yesterday. Later they apologised for throwing too hard and hoped that they didn’t hurt anyone wwwwwwwwwww

Another talk break, then Legenders kicked off part 4 with Legacy of Spirit. LegeP represent!!!

Next was Maitaru’s solo This Is It. Singing’s definitely not one of Enokiya’s strong points, but he’s cute and rly fun to watch, even more so when you know what he’s like irl and thus how seriously he takes his work wwwwwww Teru and Saki-chan jumped in as backup dancers, they were both so sexy and cute (srsly Saki-chan was KILLING IT) and i hate Teru for winking at the camera ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; I love watching Shugon dance, he has so much energy in his movements!!!! Truly a Physical idol <333

The next song began with a minute of taiko drums and we were like “Oh???? Who’s this????? Could it be....???” Then SEM appeared on stage in ouendan outfits and we SCREAMED!!!!!! They recited the senseis’ lines cheering on the students from that scene in ep5 and even did the VICTORY! group pose IT WAS SO GOOD T_____T They shed the ouendan gakuran coats for the song (From Teacher to Future!) though haha. During yesterday’s performance Jirou just kinda collapsed onto the stairs in a fit of exhaustion... Today Hazama-sensei sat on the stairs with his face in his hands ;w; Sensei ganbareeeee

DraSta returned to the stage for Arrive To Star. Tbh it’s probably my least fav out of their songs, along the lines of Starlight Celebrate, which i also wasn’t too fond of until recently (it grew on me). But i do know how important this song is for them as a team, and i’m always grateful for DraSta live performances... IMO they truly are one of the strongest teams in SideM vocally, even if Taku doesn’t always do well live.

DraSta remained on stage and SEM joined them to perform a DraSEM version of Ryuusei Parade!!!!! Nothing beats the original DraSEMJupi version (which we got to hear yesterday!) but i love this song to bits and i love DraSEM, plus it’s highly unlikely that we’ll get to hear this rendition anywhere else, so this was truly a performance to remember *____*

Eternal Phantasia!!!!!! I was hoping that they’d perform this today as it wasn’t in yesterday’s set list T______T This majestic, uplifting song was the perfect lead in to the ending sequence - BeyoDori, followed by encore (they changed into 3rdLive coloured T-shirts for this) songs Glorious Ro@d and the SideM staple Drive A Live :D

As the cast made their final exit from the stage, almost everyone made cute poses at the camera.... DraSta were the last group to leave and those ASSHOLES did a SYNCHRONISED BLOW-KISS at us sahjgfdlDGHLsdfghlfSD I WRECKED MY THROAT FROM SCREAMING AND ALMOST CRIED FROM SHOCK, THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!!!

Other stuff:

Totto is an amazing singer and is always in stoic Hazama-sensei mode during performances, but when he talks his endearing awkward side comes out ;w; Usually Enokiya teases him about it and Yoshiki runs damage control, but today Yoshiki just stood back and Totto complained that recently Yoshiki's been giving him the cold shoulder wwww

Speaking of Enokiya, every time it was his turn to talk he’d break character and yell “LET’S PAAAAAAARTTTTYYYYYYYYYYY” (or smth like that) wwwwwwww The first time he did it Yoshiki’s like “who ARE you???” and Enokiya goes “Well it’s hard on me when i have to follow Totto’s awkward talk time” and Yoshiki retorts with “You just made it hard for me too” LOL

When Cafe Parade said that they’d like to see SEM have their turn on the trolleys, SEM asked if they could throw balls as well, and someone suggested that they throw chalk instead since they’re teachers wwwwww Yoshiki tried to shut down the conversation, saying that he has never met a teacher that actually throws chalk at students, but both Totto and Enokiya raised their hands wwwwwwwwwwww

Since yesterday each and every one of Kasama-san’s messages were heart-meltingly lovely and sincere, and today was no different..... In his farewell message he borrowed lines from Amehiko’s marriage proposal from the mobage event, making everyone squeal/sigh... Kasama-san.....

Ama-chan gave us a very sweet message which almost sounded like a marriage proposal “Please stay by my (our) side forever” so Makonyan imitated Ume’s wedding-proposal-on-one-knee pose from yesterday, and Maria mimed biting his glove wwwww

Fu-kun (Shirou) tweeted: “Yesterday Beit proposed to me, but today I was swept away by DraSta” L O L add SEM’s SSH to that and you have: marriage proposal from Beit -> breakup with SEM -> elope with DraSta

Taso shared that due to individual busy schedules DraSta actually couldn’t meet up for rehearsals, so the first time they managed to rehearse as a group was on the day itself of Makuhari Day 1 (yesterday). Taku joked that he was relieved to see Taso still alive www

It’s no surprise that all three members of DraSta are pretty handsy people (they touch each other a lot so you can tell that they’re really close friends ;w;) but today i noticed that Taso always had a hand on Shugon’s shoulder or back whenever Shugon was speaking ;___; cuteee

During his farewell message Taso said that DraSta’s bond as a team had become even stronger while performing together in the concert, and he believes that Kaoru feels the same about Teru and Tsubasa. Shugon, with the biggest grin on his face, put his arm around Taso’s shoulder and pulled him close, going “Aw, you!”, and Taku chipped in with his Tsubasa voice “Kaoru-san, are you feeling shy ^^?” Taso immediately switched into Kaoru mode and retorted “Shut up, it’s your turn to speak! ///” *UGLY CRYING*

Taku seemed to be in good spirits and didn’t appear to have any injuries, but while the camera was zoomed in on him for his farewell speech i noticed that his thumb was bandaged and his microphone had a handle attached to it. I didn’t notice this yesterday, but then again I could only see half the screen from my first-row seat. If my guess is correct, he probably injured his thumb in yesterday’s accident, and the handle was added to the mic to help with his grip. I’m relieved that he wasn’t seriously hurt T_T Rest well, Taku-chan ><

The next concert will be held two weeks later in Miyagi! I’m attending the LV for day 2. In the meantime, I’ll focus on letting my dead throat recover, so I can kill it all over again in two weeks ^^

of utaites, and assorted emotions

So... I've been meaning to make this post since four days ago, but rl has been getting in my way. It's long overdue, really, but everything that's happened this year still feels like a dream. 

I found out in late January that my favourite utaites will be attending Chang Gero Sonic 2018 - which is taking place right smack in the middle of my Japan trip.

By favourite utaites, I mean: utaites from "my" Nicodouga era. ASK, Kogeinu, Gero (who's organising it), halyosy, that, clear, Yuge, nero, Pokota, etc etc etc. I know I wrote in my New Year resolution last year that I hoped I'd be able to see some more utaites live. I certainly was not expecting these many! But I'm definitely not complaining.

And on Sunday this week, I was scrolling Twitter right before I wanted to take an evening nap, and saw that Kogeinu and that were hinting at being involved in a collab video that Gero said he would be posting. So I waited for the video, because Gero said it would be a "big collab" and some tiny part of me hoped that ASK would be involved, even though he hasn't joined any covers in a long while.

Lo and behold, he uploaded a cover of Black Rock Shooter - with ASK, Gero, Kogeinu, Yuge, that, Pokota, Dasoku, and Gomu on guitar. 

Even now I still can't quite believe my eyes when I read that list of names. They're all utaites that I grew up with, and never in my wildest dreams did I expect them to come together to collab, especially for such an old song.

And I wasn't the only one. Nicodouga has been insane over the video, and I was so emo for so long after it came out, I just kept the video on loop and read the comments on Nicodouga ;____; NND's video comment system is similar to bilibili's, in that it has scrolling comments. That day was when I was truly reminded of how GOOD that comment system can be when it's used properly ;______; all the comments with ブラック★ロックシューター at the chorus, shooting stars and the duck kaomojis at "kamo guitar!" during Gomu's solo part ;______; 

Comments on the video were so heartwarming to read, too - the video hit #1 on the category rankings for that day, and there were lots of people saying things like... "What year is this from?!" "Isn't this song 36 years old?" (it's 10 years old this June) "Singers from the Nico Nico golden era..." "That feeling of security from recognising all their names..." "From a high school student to a working adult, here I am now..." "If OO (blank) was in this lineup, it'd be truly glorious..." (another commenter replied: yeah, neru-tan...)...

Not to mention all the comments saying "Natsukashii" or "I never thought I'd get to hear these voices in the same place again" or "I want to cry" or "From the start to the end, you're still the ones I love most." 

I!!! I!!! ;_______; I can't believe it's been ten years since I started listening to utaite. I can't believe this happened two days after I made my class presentation on utaite. I can't believe I grew up with all of these talented singers and I'm blessed enough to still have them singing and collaborating. Even though all of them have grown up, taken on more responsibilities, yet they somehow still managed to find time to pull off a collab like this ;_; I really really really cannot wait for Chang Gero Sonic I cannot wait to see all of them live T______T

And in the tags, someone - either Gero, or a commenter - added "Thanks for the MIX too!" The tag is now gone, so I don't know who specifically added it, but lots of people were commenting "Thank you to the person from Kumamoto/Thank you for the mix F-kun/Thank you Neru-tan" etc etc ;_____;

I'm pretty sure it's an open secret by now that Faneru mixes almost all of ASK's covers, and probably a considerable number of Gero's as well - almost all of ASK's newer songs never have a credit for the mixer, and a notable number of Gero's don't, either. Uwah my utaite stanning heart ;____; and it makes me so happy that listeners haven't forgotten him... 

Even on Gero's tweets, quite a number of fans were thanking not just the members but even Faneru ;____; I miss him so much and I'm forever sad that we lost his voice from Nicodouga, but I'm always thankful that he's still in touch with ASK and the other utaites of that era.

Once in a while I get into this mood where I just go tripping straight into utaite nostalgia. This time, the nostalgia brought itself to me, not the other way around ;; 

So after listening to BRS for a hella lot of times on Sunday when it released, I went to listen to all of ASK's songs too. (my favourite utaite since 2007 ;____;) He hasn't been active as a singer recently, but last December he collabed with Hanatan, halyosy, 96neko, Gero and alfyakyun on Tokyo Winter Session - and not even a week later, Gero and him dropped a cover of Honeyworks' Non-fantasy on Christmas Day. 

I knew that Faneru mixed that cover of Non-fantasy, because ASK posted on his twitter that day, saying that if not for Gero, he would likely not have covered any songs the whole of 2017, and he thanked "the person from Kumamoto" who mixed the song on super short notice for them too ;_; what better a Christmas present could I have asked for?

And when I was listening to ASK's other songs, I found his Romeo collab with Gero in June last year. It was their first collab in a long long long time I believe - probably since the Faneru+Gero+ASK magnet cover.  I didn't watch it when it dropped because I didn't really understand much of what was going on, but on Sunday when I watched it properly and listened to the dialogue and read the user comments - I noticed that Faneru actually made a fricking cameo ;___________; all the comments were just full of shock and delighted surprise when he appeared ;; 

I'm so thankful to Gero and ASK for such similar and yet different things... Gero, for requesting that ASK take part in collabs and covers, even though ASK doesn't even sing as much anymore, and his following is nowhere the numbers that he would have gotten at the peak of his popularity in 2008/2009 ;; he could ask so many other people for collabs, but instead he got ASK to do them ;__; 

And ASK... has always been keeping us updated on Faneru, I think. My first ever translation post on tumblr was made for ASK and Faneru, in April 2016 when the Kumamoto earthquake happened. And in October that same year, I found another tweet from him that said that Kumamoto had been struck by a typhoon. He sent his friend in Kumamoto a text asking if he was alright, and the friend replied saying "BBQ now!" orz

There were others too (I twitter searched!): him going to Kumamoto and having Gero and Faneru and Ronron as guides, him spending his birthday with Faneru on a game... and the most unexpected of all: him listening to the mix for the niconico medley he did with Kogeinu in August 2015 and wondering whether the chorus had sounded this solid when he recorded it... and his friend from Kumamoto saying, "Oh, I was bored, so I decided to help you boost the chorus." 

On that video, there's a tag - 3:58. At that specific moment is where Faneru, of his own accord for the first time in 2 years (at the time) since he went on hiatus, provides his vocals - and of course, it's for ASK and Kogeinu, two of his closest friends.

It's... little things like this, here and there, never quite mentioning him by name, but enough for us to know that Faneru's doing well, that he's alright, somewhere out there in Japan. ;_______; I wonder if he'll be going to Chang Gero Sonic. His close friends are there, after all. 

I have many feelings about the utaites. I think I never realised that up till recently. That people behind an anime avatar and a voice through my earphones can come to mean so much to me... is frankly, amazing and mindboggling. How is it that people I've never seen - people who've never revealed their faces - can be this important to me? Enough that I would go to Marina Barrage twice in a weekend just to see that live. Enough that I would pay money for anisong last year to see Shounen-T in concert. Enough that I am making a trip down to Tokyo in the middle of my Sendai vacation in May, just to see them live. 

And I'll of course, never forget how ASK replied me on twitter, for the first time ever, with a Welcome! when I told him I was flying to Japan to see them ;_______; how one simple word can mean the world... this is how being a fangirl feels like, I guess. I'd almost forgotten, but whenever it comes to the utaites, I can never quite forget.

I am done... for now... I think? I have many emotions. I still haven't managed to make all of them coherent, but... for now this is enough.

If I ever doubted that dreams could come true, I think the niconico utaites have proven me wrong.

i’ve been thinking about this alllll day so here goes it!

so first all, i think Inuyasha is sucha great, great show. It takes a lot for me to really get into a show, let alone create a whole blog dedicated to it, and inuyasha was really able to grasp my attention within the first episode. I either like or dislike a show, and i freaking LOVE inuyasha. The characters are so dynamic and different and all such bad ass bitches in their own ways, and i LIVE for that! and of course the ships in the show makes it 1000000x better. Though there are a lot of episode and people may find that to be dragging, i think it’s really great bc the show preciously shows the story line and doesn’t let its viewers miss out on any detail. Whether it’s just one line or an entire scene, inuyasha really knows how to keep its viewers interested.

Before I give my opinion on who I think Inuyasha more, I think it’s really important to first show I analyze both Kikyo and Kagome (based on what I’ve watched which is up to season 6 so far).

So, let’s take a look back at Kikyo - Kikyo was obviously taken away by Inuyasha, as we saw in the flashbacks, she spent quite sometime with inu, whether it was to seriously talk or just take a simple stroll. From what I’ve seen so far, Kikyo’s love for Inuyasha is much more mature and serious. Kikyo knows what her duty in life was, and that was to protect the sacred jewel. Kikyo and Inu talked more on serious terms, while of course, also enjoying each other’s company, which made both of them forget about their worries and flaws for awhile. She tries to convince Inu to use the shikon jewel to make him fully human. Not only did Kikyo want this as a way to be with him for eternity, but also because she wanted to settle down. She wanted to settle down with someone who has made her feel much differently than ever before. Kikyo wanted to spend the remainder of her life with Inuyasha, and help him grow and just embrace in one another in what they are - a priestess and half-demon. They were defying all odds and both her and Inu fell in love with that. Kikyo wanted Inuyasha to grow up, but to also grow old with her. 

Now, Kagome, despite being Kikyo’s reincarnation, is much more different than Kikyo and I think that has to be one of the most beautiful parts to this “love triangle,” if you will. Finding Inuyasha pinned to the Sacred Tree in the Feudal Era was, obviously, life-changing for her. She was confused, curious, and also a bit scared. However, after Inuyasha saves the village from a demon, I believe she finds herself feeling more safe. Though Kagome didn’t realize it, she had already developed a little crush - a little baby crush. But this soon turns into an innocent, childish love. Not childish like immature, but childish like new and unaware. Kagome loves Inuyasha and yearns to be by his side to experience new adventures, new feelings, new knowledge, and just have fun. Kagome wants to experience everything first with Inu. However, despite her love that runs so deep, she is mature enough to understand that Kikyo will always by Inu’s first: his first love. Though this breaks her heart, she swallows her pride and embraces Inuyasha’s decision to pursue Kikyo first and forth most. Her love is so genuine, she just wants the chance to experience life by his side, even if that means Inuyasha doesn’t reciprocate that same desire.

Therefore, I believe that Kagome loves Inuyasha more (if that wasn’t already obvious lol). I cannot fully express the amount of love Kagome has for Inuyasha. It takes so much courage, understanding, and LOVE to be able to watch the person you love, basically, love someone else and, subconciously, puts you to second-best. As I previously explained, Kagome wants to experience life with Inu by all means necessary. She lives for the arguments, laughter, and danger that comes their way. She knows that though he still has feelings for Kikyo, Inu would never hesitate to protect/save Kagome, and that’s what puts her mind to ease. Her innocent, childish, yet mature love for Inuyasha is impossible for me to ignore because it’s so much more than just “love” itself.

So, if you see all my posts, you’ll obviously see how i go completely berserk when an inukag moment happens, even if it’s for a split second, my heart literally cannot contain itself. Since there are sooooooooooooooooooooo many inukag moments/episodes, I’ll just talk about my top three that I can remember off the top of my head for now!

Season 1, Episode 1-2

of course i had to mention the ICONIC episode(s) that started it all. When i first watched the episode, I didn’t really know what to expect. I used to watch the show when I was younger, but I was like 6 so of course I had no idea what was going on. So let me tell you, how messed up I am now when Kagome saw Inuyasha, on that tree, all helpless, but yet “sleeping” so soundly….I’M REAL MESSED UP. When she reaches for Inu’s lil doggy ears it hurts me so much because I love his lil doggy ears and how he wiggles it around when he hears something or people talk about it. Just the mere fact that Kagome pulled out the arrow out of him (((EVEN THO EVERYONE TOLD HER NOT TO BECAUSE HE WILL KILL EVERYONE))) just makes me really want to punch myself in the face or something because even she knew!!! she had to do it!!! And then as the episode goes on and Inu keeps calling her Kikyo i’m honestly like “really man” and of course it’s understandable why Kagome gets so uptight about it. But that whole thing is the first-hand example of how Inu cannot forget Kikyo. Anyways, when Lady Kaede puts the spell on Inu and gives him a necklace that can’t be taken off and thus the infamous “Sit!” comes in…. dude, when inu just sits there all sassy because he can’t do anything it melts my heart lmao. Then of course in the following episodes Inu and Kagome have to team up to find the shards after Kagome accidentally shatters it, and thus INUKAG IS BORN OUO

 Season 2 Episode 48

Okay, let’s be real here. This episode is/was the actual source of my TEARS. LIKE!!!!!!!! As soon as I realized that Kagome was going to end up seeing Kikyo I was screeching my poor precious Kagome her innocent precious eyes, I didn’t NOT want her to see that T-T But so she did, and my heart was ripped out yet again… When Inu hugged Kikyo and says that he’s the only who to protect her, I was both sad and mad but more sad because !!!KAGOME!! and then when he turns around and sees Kagome and he looks at her with those precious little puppy dog eyes….all the feels man…. all the feels…. Then when Kagome goes back home and thinks about Inu and Kikyo and wishes Kikyo didn’t exist I FELT THAT like spiritually mentally physically… Then later on in the episode when Kagome decides that it’d be best to never go back to the feudal era and give back the shards and forget about Inuyasha and all I literally started crying. Let me just say that i freaking LIVE for episodes that take place in the modern dimension, because I know Inuyasha will always find his way into there because Kagome always gets back “late” (yeah ok or he just CANT STAND NOT SEEING HER) and Inuyasha in modern day is so adorable because he’s so lost and clueless and so used to fighting demons and monsters that he doesn’t even know what it’s like to walk in a city and i just LOVE it. Anyways, the tHING THAT REALLY GOT ME IS HOW OK HOJO ALWAYS GIVES KAGOME FOOD AND FRUITS TO CURE HER “ILLNESSES” BUT IN THIS EPISODE INUYASHA DOES SOME OF HIS OWN HUNTING AND GATHERING AND GETS INGREDIENTS FOR KAGOME AND BRINGS A GIANT LOAD OF IT BACK TO HER HOME AND HE MAKES IT AT HER HOME AND JUST T______T I CANNOT. Then at night when he pat Kagome as she fell asleep and he watched over her and looked through her photo album, i was living and i was loving it. Like my inukag feels NEED these things. And he just spent the night with her like fck my shit up ugh. and when Kagome woke up the next morning and realized she was gonna be later and Inu rushed her to get dressed and took her to school for her “test” !!!!!! I COULDNT HE WAS SO HAPPY TO TAKE HER TO SCHOOL AND HAPPILY WAITED FOR HER TO FINISH UP THE SCHOOL DAY AND HE WAS JUST SO PRIDEFUL AND HAPPY AND WANTS KAGOME TO EXCEL BECAUSE HE KNOWS SHE CAN AND THATS WHEN MY HEART BURSTED

okay so thoughts so far are that it’s SO GOOD!!!!!!!! i really loved and enjoyed the 01 version but ??? the remake is such a different experience??? i was talking to my friend the other day and i was telling her that even though you know what’s going to happen, it’s still such a fun and refreshing experience!!  like you don’t feel like you’re watching the same thing over again and i feel like the new art style and beautifulllll soundtrack really help with that! and i also like how they’ve changed some small details and add some new parts in etc but it doesn’t ? affect things badly?? (ex like you know how sometimes when there’s an anime adapatation of a manga but there are different details and people don’t like it ?? i don’t feel like that’s the case here !) 

it’s also so emotional and really powerful omg..... like i rewatched the first 10 ? 12 ? episodes a few months ago and omg....... i cried so much gfdhgsdfjhg like i cry really easily so it’s fine but omg i really ???? like there’s just so much emotion and i don’t know what it is but seeing just how tohru is so empathetic of others, that she tries to understand other people’s feelings and pain ??? that she ends up crying for them (like momiji) just has me T______T 

but yeah my overall thoughts !! i really really love it so far omg it’s easily made its way up to my top fave animes LOL like the charas are just so fun and lovable, the story is really interesting to me ? like i don’t . know where it’s going gjkhf but i’m really interested to see ! and i love that even though it’s really emotional at times, there’s a lot of lightheartedness !

fave charas: AHHH okay i really love yuki ))): i know people say that his true chara traits are reveal later and that he’s more of an ass or smth LOL but i love his kindness ! and how kind he is to tohru !! i also love it when he’s an ass though AHAHA like when it comes to aya and kyo LOL it’s funnie 

HARU omg haru grew on me during this remake??? i love his and kyo’s relationship they’re so funnie !!! he’s also really nice like during the ep with kisa you can see just how caring he is im ))): and his sense of style . we love )): also his backstory with yuki HURT but i love how that was resolved and that it ended up this way when it could have been the complete opposite

HANA AND UOTANI!!!!!!! omg okay i love how much they care for tohru it’s so sweet T___T like their relationship with her goes DEEP like they love and cherish her so much and i honestly can’t imagine the three of them apart ))): they’re also so funnie ghfdkgh i LOVE that the girls have their own distinct personality and aren’t just like . labeled as ~the main girl’s friends~ like they do in some anime?? like hana is quiet but also someone you dont want to fuck with but she’s also so caring )): same with uotani but she’s also loud and fun and i feel like she befriends people easily (like with kyo) and i just reallllllyyyy love and appreciate them

omg also kyoko T____T back in the 01 version i didn’t think too much of her except for ‘oh no tohru’s mom ))):’ but because they’re showing more of her im T_____T SO SAD that she passed omg like i’m feeling it more (not that i didn’t care before ghdfjk hgf) T___T they showed her to be such a caring mom and she just loved tohru sooooo much )))): when she went out of her way to help uotani and be an adult figure in her life ))): she radiated so much joy, love, and warmth T________T 

aya!!!!!!! he grew on me during this remake too gdfkghfd he’s SO FUNNYYYY GJFDKGFDJ god the bottom scene ghdjfkghfd when i saw that i couldnt believe it was real like i thought it was edited or SOMETHING because i really . just cannot believe gdjsghsfjdkgh it’s so funnie bc he thought ‘gotta tell yuki a story that we can bond and relate oh my god this is it’ gjdfhgjdfhgdf like . god . but besides that, i love that he’s genuinely trying to mend his bond with yuki??? like.... it doesn’t seem like he’s doing it just because or to save his image, but he genuinely believes and is aware that what he did and how he treated yuki was wrong, and he wants to fix that. he realizes that it’s going to take time and that yuki isn’t going to suddenly be like oki i love you gdsgfdjg like it must hurt to be rejected by your brother (irony ? ) while trying to reach out, but he’s trying to push past that and work things out and wait for it which makes me )))): im emo !

hatori............ episode 10 made me cry the worst omg that was BRUTAL god i feel so bad for hatori and kana T____T that episode just hurt so bad omg they . deserved better 3 but i love hatori he grew on me too (a majority of the charas did this time it seems actually hgdjhgf) the way he deeply cared for kana and just hhhh

okay okay last one ghjdkhg MOMIJI T_____T omg his episode made me CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! poor BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god i just .h . god !!!!!!!!!! like . to have your mother to want to forget you because you’re causing her unbearable pain ???? i’m so ... how do you even process that and move past that ))): and he’s like ??? 12???? )))): and he still sees her from time to time so it must still hurt in some way ))): and omg his sister that he’ll never (?) get to bond with because of that.,... like he feel like he’d TOTALLY love and have so much fun with his sister )): but omg i feel like one of the parts from that episode that hurt the most was when he said that he doesn’t want to forget certain memories even if they’re incredibly painful like...... hello ??? and i feel like that’s . ironic (?) bc that’s what his mom felt but ))): im emo ghfdjkghfdgfd
