I don't want a "modern" actor/actress as a faceclaim or reference for my 1950s-based OC. I want people from that time period, goddammit!

fr I'm about to make my own "faceclaim" directory with exclusively actors/actresses who were in films before the year 1965. I'll need to do some research, of course. And this will certainly take quite some time, but I think it'll be well worth it.

Like, I'm just absolutely sick and goddamn tired of trying to search "1950s actress with DARK HAIR AND DARK EYES FOR CHRIST'S SAKE" into Google and getting the same three (3) people!!

DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THIS IS!!!

#i'm trying to find a faceclaim for evelyn if anyone was wondering #i don't have the artistic chops to draw her and i already have james dean (in any cowboy movie) as frankie #olivia still doesn't have a face either but she's a bit easier because she's kind of generically pretty #eve is giving me a run for my money because she's very DIFFERENT looking in my head #in case yall are wondering how i describe characters in my fics #well i basically don't tbh. i give their hair and eye color and maybe something distinctive but that's about it #anything else feels kind of forced to me ngl (read: i can't describe faces at ALL)#but also i don't want to ruin how others perceive my OCs at the same time. specifically in my fics #but if i ever wanted a comission of them i have ZERO reference bc. once again. no artistic talents here #so yeah this is my dilemma and the internet isnt helping so i'm gonna make my own directory i think #and hopefully find evelyn while i research!#regg rambles
