I'd like to go back in time and slap whoever came up with using asbestos in everything
#we finally had someone come to look at our basement b/c there's water coming in somewhere & the vinyl floor is all fucked up from it#but lol turns out there's the original asbestos tiles underneath the vinyl! sooo now we have to deal w/ that first before the water problem#so we've got a guy coming tomorrow to look at the asbestos tile & at least he said the 9x9 tiles we have are easy to remove#oh also we have to remove the wood paneling from the basement walls after that so the first guy can do what he needs to do :(#i just tried to look and i cannot for the life of me find that kind of wood paneling anymore??? did they just stop making it ???#everything's fucking gray & white or a 'rustic' horizontal slat or the thin modern slat style :(((#i just want the kind of wood paneling the rest of my house has :((( i want to keep the cozy midcentury wood paneling vibes going#p
