Idk I also find it frustrating because sometimes you meet people who design but have zero understanding how to make that achievable in reality, and that's something everybody has to face at some point (I'm still learning too obviously!) But it is like. If you're specifically looking at generative models like the ones people have been using for art (which is generally what people are referring to) you're going to get a rude awakening when shirts don't work like that in real life

#but as someone who ultimately knows very little about how versatile AI is beyond video games and this current cultural obsession #w generative models #there may be tools that are more accurate and useful for someone in design!#plus it also depends on the scale. i worry about how this would affect professional work #but in the home... trying to make a dress you saw in a generated image would actually be an incredibly fun challenge #idk i have to read more into what this all means for worker protections. union pay. benefits. the nitty gritty #so this isn't super well formed. hence the tumblr blog and not the master's thesis
