XO is actually a fascinating song from a Christian perspective but idk if I can figure out how to put it into words
#it's saying what good has one and done read the Bible save your soul television preaching hotel room Bible ever done for me#it's saying I need more. it's saying I need substance I need the humanity I need the LOVE#but just handing me a Bible and saying then there you go isn't enough#it's saying this lifestyle isn't sustainable but neither is the weak thin Sunday-Christian faith people try to say will save me#so there's my conscience. just as useless as the Bible in the drawer because where's the love?#you gotta open it up to get to the Love though#like it's a song that very much shows like... the cliche proverbial ''hole'' in a person that longs for God#but they're not finding Him in a way that shows love. they're being shown it in a cold uncaring impersonal way#when really it should be and IS in Truth the MOST personal thing#it's very bitter toward God but I think it's very much a thought a lot of people have. what has God ever done for me anyway?#idk. just trying to not knee-jerk argue with the songs I disagree with and instead analyze them I guess#Lu rambles#music#fob
