Note
The best thing about fusing them imo is John Constantine is a character from American superhero comics whose distinctive character 'voice' is heavily defined by the cadence and vocabulary of a working class Liverpudlian circa 1985, accuracy highly variable.
While Jack Harkness is a character from British TV, one of whose distinctive features is a vaguely mid-20th-century American accent.
...Jack Harkness is not American, mind you. He is from the pansexual space future. He was originally introduced on Doctor Who while impersonating a WWII-era american military captain. It's sort of unclear if he picked that role because of the convenient accent match, or if he's just kept doing that voice this whole time for personal reasons.
His actor isn't even American; he just spent a lot of his childhood here and watched loads of old movies.
You seem like you would know the answer to this question, are Jack Harkness and John Constantine the Same Guy? I know they're from different things and only have the vaguest dashboard osmosis idea about either of them but the instinct is so strong. What is causing this? Help
you've osmosed them into a single slutty bisexual disaster man that doesn't mind his own business and refuses to die
