#OOC / HOLLY.#grooming cw#patch 7 spoilers#ask to tag#'Gale tears down Mys.tra's statue and takes off his earring in the new evil ending#so the ones who hate Mys.tra are the evil ones not her defenders ^^'#do your knees hurt? from that leap you made. do they hurt?#look Mys.tra is incredibly well-executed and fascinating and nuanced#that does not mean she's infallible or beyond criticism#esp in this setting that not only encourages but REQUIRES you to pass moral judgments on the gods#and always presents them as fallible and limited albeit powerful beings#Mys.tra has done so many things ranging from questionable to flat out wrong#and YES grooming is a common part of her methodology in EVERY sense of that term#Gale is not the first and will not be the last#she always has a good reason for why she does what she does. she always has a justification#that doesn't make her actions right or her right for taking them#not to mention there are 'good' endings where Gale does not return to Mys.tra#denouncing her is not the issue. the issue is consequences of paths he might pursue#it's far more nuanced than being for or against her#anyway I'm in need of a shower bye
