thinking about what could have been if gale's romance hadn't bugged and leyla had ended up with him like i'd been planning

like i've rolled with it. and Halsin was so good for her! he's exactly what she needed! (esp after being forced to choose between Gale and Wyll.) but she and Gale immediately got along, she's always found him hot, endearing...

truly a couple meant for each other. it's a right person wrong time scenario. i like to imagine down the line after the dust has settled, they're able to work their stuff out and they end up getting together.

before i realized the romance was bugged, i had gale and leyla do the thing with the dryad. and leyla got EVERY ANSWER RIGHT. without even having the romance scenes!!! like these two fools are cleARLY in love with each other, and yet... they just don't take the leap. they've been so close to kissing so many times.

and it isn't like they don't know! after the dance with wyll, leyla and gale talked. she TOLD HIM she chooses him! and they just never did anything else about it!
