as a n untagged side note to the whole "two member concert/tour" conversation i just want to point out that um

isn't this uhhhh nct's entire business model? certain members of a group forming a separate sub-group and functioning separately in recordings and performances? and it seems to work for them?

like i personally am fine either way because whatever does happen will be something the members themselves decide and agree to, so all the discourse is actually moot

but i just think the argument that such a thing "can't happen or what's the point of the og group" isn't really the winning hill to stand on

#i mean idk much about that system #or if the full member nct group is still considered a going thing or if it's all sub-groups now or what #amd also i think a two-member concert would be VERY unlikely bc i just don't think they would want to?#but we've *already* had duo performances and various subgroup activities #so saying it's unlikely to do something that've already done before is silly #they've recorded songs together apart from the group - performed and danced together as a separate duo before #a concert that's not them guesting at each other's solo shows seems super unlikely though #and if there's guests on a solo tour i imagine it would be like yg's tour with multiple members guesting over time #which sounds awesome frankly and perfect for the idea of all the pairing collabs talked about in mmm #so badically i agree it's not gonna happen that there would be a ship concert but also i think the #argument that it's not right to even think of such a thing is kinda knee-jerk in the same way #the protesting of even another member showing up in this purely theoretical instance also is over-reactive #no point frying the chickens that haven't been counted from the eggs that haven't hatched yet
