Hello! I'm Ev. My pronouns are they/them. I'm 24. I used to be an avid roleplayer, but fell out of the habit for several years. I'm interested in getting back into it, so feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested in writing with me. Below are the rules and some other important info.

This is a sideblog, so you won't be followed by this handle. If you've got any questions about how that may impact roleplaying, you can shoot me a message or an ask.

I don't roleplay with minors.

I am open to roleplaying with any fandoms as well as OCs! If you send me a meme or a starter out of the blue, I might message you to work some things out before responding, but I am excited to get to know your characters!

I am interested in writing Dick Grayson during his time as Nightwing and his time as Robin. I'm also open to AUs.

Tagging— if I haven't tagged something that is triggering, let me know and I'll fix it ASAP. The blog will contain canon-typical violence. Tags are formatted like "tw: material" such as "tw: overdose" or "tw: discussion of suicide" but will also be under a cut.

I'm fairly open to writing characters discussing most topics and dealing with the aftermath of things, but there are certain things I will not write happening "on screen." Those are rape, sexual harassment, suicide attempts, self harm, eye gore, animal death or abuse. I'm alright to write characters discussing those things, but I've a hard line against deleting them.

I don't write smut. If things get steamy, I'll fade to black.

I'm open to shipping with chemistry. If you play a character who Dick is canonically in a romantic relationship with at some point in the comics, let's chat about it before writing specific romantic plot. If you write a character who doesn't, we also need to chat before writing anything romantic/one character coming on to the other.

No romantic relationships with Batman or the other Robins.

I'm usually on mobile, so formatting will be limited.

On inspiration— I mostly draw from the comics. I've seen a few animated films here and there, but most of my inspiration comes from the comics. In terms of content I see referenced often, I feel that I should mention that I haven't watched any Teen Titans shows and I haven't read WFA. I'm also not super up to date on current runs because I prefer to read trade paperbacks. If you have any questions about whether or not I've consumed a particular piece of media, feel free to shoot me a message! I don't have any particularly strong opinions on fanon beyond the fact that I don't enjoy the idea that Dick is either a goofy, happy guy or someone full of rage— my philosophy with the character is that someone who feels sorrow and rage as deeply as he does is someone who can also feel joy and love with the same level of intensity.

On response time— I work full time and my job has varying and weird hours. If I haven't responded in a week, please shoot me a message. Based on how busy my life is, I may queue some responses.

Question from someone who has had bad experiences in large groups/gets overwhelmed easily- how do you suggest going about keeping up with everything going on? In a group this big it seems like it might be a little impossible or overwhelming to form connections. Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear you've had issues in large groups. To be honest, while we do have a lot of characters taken, we still feel like a small group because there's only ten of us players, and we really do our best to ensure there aren't any cliques.

Now, for practical advice on our group! We have an starter blog where we reblog all open starters, which is always one of the best places to get started, and we also have a thing we call Free Post Fridays where you can participate in meme day. These both often help create random connections as they allow creativity and most of our players don't mind if you assume friendships for those.

As for plotting, I can guarantee that you'll have plenty of people interested in that. If you decide to join our discord (which is not fast paced, if you're worried about that, we mostly use it for offering plotting options in a casual way), we have both a starter call channel and a plotting call channel.

In the starter call channel, you ask if anyone wants you to write starters for them (capping is allowed if you get overwhelmed), and if they want the starter for a particular muse of theirs, they'll let you know.

In the plotting channel, you let people know what kind of plots you want, ranging from offering a vague thing of "anyone want to be friends with my muse" to specific. For example, I recently offered plots where my character could be their tattoo artist. Once they react to your post, you then message them to work out the details.

People love different kinds of connections here, with people developing families, friends, work relationships, and of course, the usual of shipping. Given the fake lives, that means you can create headcanons that form connections a lot faster, so you can feel included straight away.

Generally, we are a fairly character driven rp where you're just expected to keep track of your muses, so trying to follow everything that's going on isn't a big deal. When there are plot drops or events, that's usually the catalyst for some more plotting, but unless you choose to participate, your muses don't have to be affected, as we know some people get overwhelmed by such things.

I'm sorry the answer was so long, I just wanted to list all the different options you've got. I'd also like to say, all of us admins are also happy to help if you're not sure where to start, there's almost always one of us available on mobile for you to talk to if you need help. In fact, I'm mobile right now and got so excited seeing your question, I couldn't even wait for whole admin team to approve my message, so this may get edited once they're online.

Hey there; I've noticed you reblog a bunch of my stuff, but you never add anything or tag it, so I'm really not sure what kinds of things you're interested in. Can you tell me a bit about yourself then? I mean, blog-wise; if I'm talking to someone online, I honestly don't care about their IRL stuff.

Oh!! Wow hi! I don’t tag often on mobile, and since I’m on it often, I end up not tagging a lot lol. Im pretty much interested in a lot of stuff. A good chunk of which is anime, but also just funny stuff in general. I like writing stuff and art a lot, im an artist myself. No art up though heh. I also am not too often on my dash board. I have mobile notifications for multiple blogs, so i usually end up reblogging from the same 10-15 or so, you’re one of them :)

But over all, my blog ends up being a jumble of feminism, anime, memes, writing and art, and the ocational post made by me (i dont make these often). I have a few side blogs as well, one for strictly art and writing.

I try to remember to tag, but i always end up forgetting, and mobile quick reblog is just so convenient. But hey, thanks for asking!! I feels cool to see you noticed heh.
