I feel like the only motherfucker on this planet who thinks Fire & Blood is a good book AND House of the Dragon is a good show.
#jess talks#so much of people's praise of hotd is prefaced with a disclaimer like oh but the book was bad it's an Objectively Bad book!!#as if hotd would still be Better if it was adaptationally doing the bare minimum#or treating its source material with disdain (which it isn't)#and like I get f&b is experimental but the insinuation that its quality or lack thereof is a universal truth is a little unfair#idk why it's so hard to believe hotd may be good because of its source material not in spite of it#tis curious to me. I got a lot out of that book!
