Why did my cat have to be allergic to the most common ingredient in all cat food (chicken) and why did it also have to be his most favorite thing in the world

He doesn't understand that not giving him his favorite numnum is for his own good, and he also doesn't understand that when he manages to steal some of his brother's food (who REFUSES to change food to something they can both eat to avoid this goddamn issue because fuck me) and he gets itchy and has catbox issues that it's a direct correlation to eating his favorite numnum (chicken) (which he is allergic to)

#I spent so long reading labels on wet food packets at the pet store to find anything that didn't have any chicken product in it #so many times there'd be chicken broth/meal/paste/etc in and it's like “ARGH *puts it back on shelf* *grab different brand*”#I managed to find a few packs for the next couple days. he's such a picky bastard too like not only can he not have chicken but he hates #most everything else and wants different food every few days. this needy bastard is my perfect babyson that I love so much #cats #tc posts #“allergic” as in “food intolerance but if he eats too much of it he will die like he almost did last year and that's how we learned he #developed this intolerance“. we don't intentionally let him have food he can't eat but he tries SO HARD #chester's food is technically seafood but I'm sure it has some chicken byproduct in it and also he won't fucking eat anything else!! so!!#we're stuck playing this “keep Squeaks away from his food” game forever ig
