also the thing about that fanfiction taste quiz is that the instructions don’t even say “check the boxes if you like these things” its literally just “if you would/already read these things”. i don’t have to like something to be willing to read it. it makes reading more fun, but its absolutely not necessary.

#also the you read dead dove do not eat one is so annoying #yes dead dove do not eat is often on fics with dark subject matter #that doesn't make it a fuckin genre. it just means when i see that there is in fact (thing i don't like) i signed up to read it #so im not allowed to go ugh gross this fic has (thing i don't like) in the comments (or anywhere else)#its really less of a fanfiction taste quiz and more of a fanfiction standards quiz #except even then the options are so skewed that i think it's ultimately meaningless #fun to do tho! i love to do quizzes on the internet.#txt
