Barreleye vs Gloves >:D

once again, this is probably going to be nonsense but I'm gonna attempt to cook something anyways

This battle would be so much fun for both of them fr, I feel like they'd have a great time even if one of them lost. Also this is just my opinion so ye

ANYWAYS

I'm gonna assume Gloves' team will have the splat3 weapon kits. Gloves and Clip-On's would probably have a speed/mobility advantage over the blasters with their dualies. (Clip Ons changed her weapon to the squelchers later on, so I'll just be using those).

That being said, Gloves' team subs are mostly for inking turf. I think all of them have the splat bomb? Wait no, Gloves would have the suction bomb and Straps would have curling bombs. The blasters also have a slower rate of fire than the dualies and splatterscope. Half Rim could be in the backlines landing a few shots on the blasters while the rest of the team inks more turf.

I mean Barrel's team could out range the splat roller if Straps is hit with a direct shot. They'd also have to get closer to the splatterscope or force Half Rim to move via autobomb/tenta missiles/etc. (Do they even have tenta missiles? idk). Which y'know, I think they could figure that out.

Barreleye's team seems to do a pretty decent job at keeping a safe distance from their opponents using their sub weapons before attacking them. (I'm re-reading their chapter as I write this since I kinda forgor). The toxic mist can really slow the roller down and autobomb forces the splatterscope to move out of position. The suction bomb and ink mines are also going to come in handy as well :]

I don't think Gloves would be able to land any hits if the blasters are constantly shooting at him + the sub weapons. He'd have a hard time trying to keep up with Barreleye's defenses. His team would stay alive for a little bit until they all get wiped out by a blaster sweep towards the end.

I think this would be one of those battles where they're doing alright at the start, but then there's a last second switcheroo. It's a pretty funky match up though, I feel like one of them has close ranged attacks while the other is medium ranged attacks.

andrei is building me a new pc for my birthday and we're waiting on some parts that should be here by this weekend and first of all i am very excited to be able to play starfield at more than 4 frames per second but also it has me in that stall mode where something is going to happen (new computer) so it feels like i cannot do anything at all (like, literally anything basically) until that thing happens?

Meg has said that she isn't going to make TimKon canon and that's fine. At the end of the day a ship is a ship and not including a ship does not a bad writing make.

That being said, I do think that Meg needs to be very careful not to queerbait the fans. (and yes, it's still queerbaiting if Tim is bi because Kon is straight right now)

So far there hasn't been any glowing neon signs pointing to queerbaiting but she keeps talking about how she's "going to dive into Tim and Kon's relationship" and idk. I would like TimKon to be put to bed and not have it strung along as 'a maybe' for more views. Just have them talk about it and have Tim state that he used to have a crush on Kon but doesn't anymore. Or that he's never been into Kon. Or say Kon isn't into him or something. Anything. Just don't string people along.

I saw some speculation that Meg will do a Kon-Tim-Bernard love triangle and that's a hard no from me. Love triangles are overplayed enough as it is, we don't need one thanks. Also it really plays into the harmful stereotype that bi people are 'not loyal' and 'cant be satisfied with one person' and I'd like to just not do that actually.

Even if Meg has Kon come out and reveal that he's bi too or something just please make it clear that Kon and Tim are platonic. Or break up Tim and Bernard. Either or. I really don't care. Just don't string people along because that would be really shitty.

So the more recent chapter i wrote for The Bottom Of The Inkwell (Chapter 10) was uhhhh,,,,,not my best work. I’ve been trying to combat writer’s block for about two weeks now, but it’s just making me more and more stressed.

It feels like a lot of the big initial drama in the series is somewhat resolved, but at the same time there are a lot of character dynamics I could still explore. There are some things that I want to write about still! But I don’t know how to connect the dots and write the stuff between point A and point B.

I guess another concern is that I don’t know where to take the story from here. I’m drawing a huge blank on plot, and I’m having a hard time setting up scenes. I don’t want to let go of it, because I really love what I’ve written so far, but I’m also just. Unsure, I guess.

Do any of you have ways to get you through writer’s block?
