Hii! Hope you're doing great.
Can you do dorm leaders of twisted wonderland with a mute or blind reader? ( male reader)
It's okay if not and thanks! (âżââĄâ)
This is a very fun one to do cuz I love to see disability rep in fanfics (especially as a disabled person!) I hope you donât mind that I did deaf and blind!

Riddle:Â
he just thinks youâre ignoring him at first when he yells at you to go to specific areas you donât know, which leads to many instances of the collar being put on youÂ
He gets curious when he sees deuce leading you around everywhereÂ
Started to get suspicious when he found out you do all your essays and readings through the computer
Yeah heâs not the type to figure out you are blind on his own
Finally comes to a head as youâre painting the roses, he comes behind you and goes âNO THOSE ARE BLUE NOT RED! WHAT, ARE YOU BLIND OR SOMETHING?âÂ
Awkward silence begins and it finally clicksÂ
Poor boy is apologetic beyond belief and will do anything in his power to make up for it
Goes out of his way to make sure every single corner in the heartslabyul form has a cushion against it so you wonât hurt yourselfÂ
âIâm so sorry (name) I promise I didnât know. Please, if thereâs any way we can accommodate you more, let myself or Trey know!â

Leona:
at first, he sees you as weak, an easy target
Until he tries to sneak up on you and get an elbow straight to the gut
He can tell right away that you donât let being blind hold you back and DAMN does he respect it
Jack is given the duty of being your eyes, seeing as you have numeral classes together and are both freshmen
He adds a detail to spelldrive so you can play, making it so the disc beeps when itâs close to you so you can catch itÂ
He will never admit that his instincts are telling him to take the small weak cub under his wing
âLook, in this dorm itâs survival of the fittest. If youâve spent this long at NRC without being taken out by a dumbass, you got what it takes to be part of the dormâ

Azul:
because of the Sea Witch stories, it became mandatory for all merfolk to learn some version of sign language
He can easily spot you are deaf and tries to strike up a deal first, only he mixes it up in his mind and signs âdateâ insteadÂ
Both of you are blushing messes but why not?Â
You help to properly teach him and the tweels proper sign language and in return you now have 3 powerful and influential men there to protect you at any timeÂ
âI must ask, do you think it would be a fruitful venture to hold a paid for sign language class? Of course the proceeds would go to a charity! That charity being getting you those hearing aids youâve been wantingâ

Kalim:
Is very confused as you donât seem to hear him at all, making him practically yell
Jamil has to be the one to tell him that you could just be deaf
This mans is FLUENT in sign and will have the best gossip to tell you that only you two can hearÂ
Jamil is happy cuz it keeps him out of trouble and keeps the dorm quiet
Until Kalim realizes he can raise the music so you can feel the bassÂ
âIsnât this awesome! I knew youâd love this song! Everyone deserves the chance to party in Scarabia!â

Vil:
he has worked with plenty of people so itâs no surprise he knows how to signÂ
During the SDC, he makes sure you have a seat closest to the speakers so you can feel the vibrations the bestÂ
Offers several times to make you a hearing potion but accepts that it is a part of you that you wish to keepÂ
ASL is now mandatory to learn in the Pomefiore dorm (with permission from Crowley who sees this as an opportunity to show how inclusive his school is)
â(Name) how does this seat work for you? Is it close enough to the speaker? Or would you rather have an interpreter? Just let me know potatoâ

Idia:
it makes him feel so relaxed to know you canât see him
You enjoy video games AND you canât clock his looks? Hell yes
Heâs ringing up STYX right away to sent a Cerberus unit as a guide dog for youÂ
If you are up to it, he would love to make cyber eyes for you to give you sight back
Gets super excited hanging out with you and lets himself be himself because in his eyes you canât see him so you donât judge himÂ
â-and yeah! He should be all set up for your fingerprint id! If any problems happen, like normies trying to get in your way, he has an op defense modeâ
Malleus:
by FAR the most protective of you
Since you canât see, he worries others will take advantage of that and he is NOT having that
He is your person guard dragon and will follow you around everywhere Â
Has set up his nest in Diasomnia (because I like the idea that he keeps dragon instincts like nesting and hoarding) to include a tactile pathway to both the bathroom and door so you have more sense of freedom
If he canât guard you, Lilia will. Lilia is a lot more ferocious in his guarding as he had blind soldiers when he was a general
âChild of man, if you need anything, money is no problem. I could get you set up with working eyes if you would like. But if you prefer how you are, thatâs alright tooâ

Although I very much love my self-insert for BoneAmore (who really isn't too different in terms of appearance to my other self-insert lol), I have an extra design in mind for her.
I won't use it much for obvious reasons (it's reserved for angst scenes, haha), but it's still VERY important to her background/lore.
Meet Anomaly!Rose Woods...
âŹď¸ If you want to read my long rambles and explanation for my notes, just check below! âŹď¸
So, my self-ship canon, Sans and Memphis are aware of Resets, and to an extension, they have an inkling idea of the existence of an entity beyond (aka the Player), and that their universe may not be real.
My self-insert Rose is unaware of this fact. She has been told about Resets from Sans and Memphis to an extent (some of it brings painful memories so not much is discussed in great detail), but it's enough for her to understand that it's a power that was greatly abused and led to many dark paths (until it was finally used for good in their current timeline).
However, Sans and Memphis soon begin to realize that they are currently in a time loop of Resets inside a universe that belongs to either of them. Meanwhile, during the first couple of Resets, Rose is completely oblivious to it as her memories always reset along with it. Eventually, she soon began to get moments of dejavu until finally she began to gain consciousness of her existence as a fictional character, and the Resets which are being caused by something that "controls" her. Ultimately, this causes Rose to "glitch" or lose her sense of self, which causes a disruption to occur during the flow of the "story" and changing into her TRUE form.
Her TRUE form consists of an empty or transparent SOUL that has no magic, stats, trait, or anything. It's literally just a blank slate for any Reader/Creator to insert their chosen SOUL trait into her. Rose is a black shadow that is cold to the touch and always crying tears from her empty eyes. Her outline is "glitched" in red & blue colors because it's meant to be synonymous with the anaglyph 3D effect where her normal form cannot be restored/seen fully unless you put on your tinted glasses. The more distressed she gets, the stronger the lines get out of focus and cause eye strain and makes it difficult to touch her.
In this form, Rose will make her surroundings devoid of life and color as time will literally freeze. Her emotions would be in uncontrollable disarray and her thoughts turning towards an existential spiral. Yet, ironically, Sans and Memphis are the only ones who can move during this frozen time without getting hurt and comfort her enough for the "story" to resume. Once she is comforted, Rose will forget about the moment and "reboot" back to her normal self.
It is very important that Sans and Memphis try to comfort or find her during this state. Otherwise, Rose is more susceptible to the influence and control of the Creator/Reader. You can usually tell when the Reader/Creator is in control by their appearance (multiple eyes, strings/threads, swirls, and a Red SOUL). When the Reader/Creator is in control, they usually try to speak to Sans and Memphis (if the duo is there but normally the Reader's/Creator's words appear scattered or incoherent), simply decide to RESET the "story" from the start, or just completely DELETE her.
Sometimes, that Creator is Me, but sometimes it's someone else. It could be another Creator who is "dissatisfied" with the "story," so they Reset and change the script to whatever they see fit or ultimately discard her into the Void by deleting her to replace it with some other vessel. Sometimes, it's an actual Reader who will Reset back to the beginning of the story to relive it once more. Or it can be either of those beings who are trying to intentionally or accidently reach out to the fictional characters, their words leaking into a booming echo and trying to break the fourth wall.
This is why, when Sans and Memphis evenually find out about Rose's existence as a vessel (quiet literally another Frisk in control of a higher being), they try to make sure to calm her down when she shifts into her anomaly form before it's too late (sometimes they're successful and other times it's out of their hands until they reuinte again).
In other words, Rose is quiet literally both a vessel and self-insert that slowly becomes aware of that fact and tries to fight against whatever entity out there keeps trying to Reset her story where she wants nothing more than to live out her happy ending.
I know these ideas are kinda scattered or maybe not too consistent. I may end up changing or fixing a few things here and there.
But I like the idea of my self-insert being sentient or her separate person and wanting to also question the Anomaly (whether a Player/Creator/Reader or something else) just like we have fics or games where Sans does this to us.
But don't worry! I do plan to have a happy ending where Rose, Sans, and Memphis eventually get to properly meet/talk with the Anomaly and sort things out.
Anyway, if you made it this far, thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed my very long rambling and ideas for Rose and found it interesting! \(^_^)/
#kaito's art#self insert#boneamore#rose woods#sansnomaly#sort of#i was just very inspired by htsan's anomaly and i wanted to do my own design >_<#i was also inspired by other undertale vns for the whole self-aware sans and such#i went through a lot of different ideas but this one finally clicked for me!#not sure if the design is exactly perfect...#but i still love it hehe <3#anyway just an fyi i did include a very long ramble of notes of rose's lore under the read more#so if you're curious enough to read great!#if not it's fine i don't mind XD

You knew he would be here soon, he must.Â
You curled into the dark corners of the arena hall, having been here since dawn with your own father, a high military commander who struck down Marcus as punishment for such things even he wouldnât tell you about. You knew nothing, heard nothingâyou werenât allowed such privilege.Â
It has been days since you last saw himâMarcus. General Acacius to many, another esteemed leader amongst the masses, and a once great friend to your father. Though, that was no longer.
You often called him sir, finding that General Acacius was quite the mouthful. Or often just General, but his endearment toward you was blatant and he insists, almost pleading that you drop the formality when alone. Which was easier, as your fondness of him grew.
It started at a celebration, one of the many grand parties thrown in celebration of fight won or any reason for the men to drink, but Marcus liked to linger. Often tucked away in a corner watching the madness unfold, you were too curious to stay locked up in your room.
The first night he caught your eye, it was a smile around the edge of his silver goblet drowning in red wine, a hand crossed over his chest as he watched you slip away in fear that he may say something to your father.
But, he never did.
For weeks after, it progresses. From a smile, to a lingering gaze, eventually he finds himself inching closer to you, week by week. Until one night he finally finds the courage in himself to be waiting by the corner you often sneak around, watching curiously.
âYou are pushing it, dove.â He speaks softly, his eyes downturned to look at you from the step he was on above you, slowly inching down until he was level, âif he catches youââ
âHe hasnât,â You tell him in a clipped, hushed tone, âand you havenât said anything. You wonâtâŚ.will you?â
He bypasses the question, âWhy do you come here?â Marcus curiously asks, âThese men, they areâanimals, if they see you dressed like that, they would not hesitate toââ
You had on a pale nightgown, thin and barely enough to cover your modesty but it was enough. The sticky, summer heat prickled your skin, formed a line of sweat across your brow and you huffed out at his words, âMy father would murder them. Besides, you are not like them. So, why do you linger here?â
He was much more than a friend, closer and akin to family.Â
But, he had his own troubles. Stepson, a wife, he should be away caring for them. Yet, he was there with a disgruntled scowl and eyes only set on you.
âWhy not?â He shrugs, âIt isâŚquite entertaining. Isnât that why you sneak around here to watch?â
You mimic his shrug, shying away slightly as you pull away to leave, but his hand catches your wrist, his cup placed in the gap of pillars separating you both. His facial expressions show an internal battle of thought, like heâs fighting against the bad and hoping the good would win out.
Unfortunately, the bad prevails.
âLet us walk,â He tells you, nodding toward the exit a few feet away, âif you would accompany me?â
You nod eagerly, switching the grip on your wrist to curl around his bicep, muscular and hard from years of fight training. He flexes slightly at the touch, covering his free hand over yours in a comforting gesture.Â
He made you feel safe. And that was all that mattered to you.
â
The walk was the first mistake.
It wasnât more than a few minutes before you found yourself tucked away by a nearby tent, unbuckling and unfastening Marcus out of his gear hastily before he fucked you under your nightgownâgentle but firm. He was the first man, the first ever to have you in such a way. Youâd told him so as your hands shook under the weight of his gaze, the taste of bitter wine on his lips. Heâd kissed you as he pushed his cock inside of you and didnât stop until you were tipping over the edge.
Over time, you grow bolder. Sneaking him back into your home was easy, knowing the guards werenât as watchful in the late, late hours of the night. It was dangerous, reckless, but as you tug him down into the cellar and sink to your knees, it all fades away quickly.
His little dove, he often calls you. Sweet dove, so pure and innocent. His hand caresses your chin as you swallow him down, eyes locked on his half-lidded gaze before he comes down your throat, nose scrunching up slightly and his brow furrowing, biting at the back of his other hand to muffle the groan that escapes him.
It was always like thisâhurried and quick fucks that didnât diminish the feeling, but reminded you how easily you could both be caught. It continues for monthsâŚand months, until suddenly he stops coming around.
No parties, no visitsâMarcus had become a ghost.
But, enough digging had led you here, tucked away in the shadows againâbut watching as he fought for his life. The other man was much older, weaker, and Marcus struck him down within a matter of minutes, blood splattering across his face as he stuck again and again, bashing the poor manâs skull in until it was nothing, teeth gritting as his body surged with adrenaline.
Gladiator fighting wasnât a new thingâand you knew he wasnât the only one, but why?
Heâs making his way down the arena toward the pillar you are tucked behind unknowingly, alone and battered as the guards run off to dispose of the body. You arenât sure where Marcus is going now or when you would see him again, but you take the chance when you know no one is watching, grabbing him by the armor plate on his chest and pulling him away and into a dusty closet, knocking into a stack of buckets in the process.
You gasp as his hand wraps around your neck, fist cocked back in preparation of an attack.
But, then his eyes land on you.
âDove, what are youââ
You shush him quickly, hands molding against his face and the dried blood, his breathing quick and short as you attempt to calm him.
âI had to see youâI thoughtâŚI thought you hadââ
âI might as well be,â Marcus replies somberly, âwe cannot meet like this. We cannot meet at all.â
âItâs fine, Itâs fineââ You assure him, reaching forward to press your lips against his.
Marcus pulls away hesitantly, grabbing your face roughly until you look at him, eyes widening.
âThey will kill you. I cannot see you again. I should not even be here with you.â
Your eyes well with tears, forcing yourself forward again to capture his lips and this time he allows it, opening his mouth slightly as your tongue dips inside, working silently at the buckles to his chest plate.
âNo talking. Let usâŚenjoy this. If it is the last time.â
You were both well awareâhe would fight for his life or die, that was it. And he would fight until that point came. He was no longer a General, completely stripped of his power. But, he was still Marcus. And you would hold onto that for as long as you could.
Heâs shaking, the adrenaline raking his body and making him restless as you kissed him, tongue dipping into his mouth again as his hands roamed, squeezed, caressed.Â
âI will not break,â You whisper into his mouth, âtake what you need, Marcus.â
It was all he needed to hear, turning you around swiftly and forcing your down with a hand against your back, arms pressing into the shelf in front of you as he pushed up the silk, carefully woven and intricate fabric of your dressâso pristine and perfect. He wanted to rip it off you, be he refrains, squeezing at your hips while he kneels behind you.
âMarcus, you need notââ
âQuiet, little dove. Let me have this,â He licks against your cunt hungrily, noisy slurps as he lapped you up, squeezing less than gentle at the inside of your thighs as they shook, his tongue swiping over your clit, a broken moan slipping past your lips, âbeautifulâlet me hear you.â
âMarcus,â You plea, his fingers joining his tongue as they breached you and drag against the soft, but incredibly sensitive spot inside of you, your hand reaching for his wrist tucked between your legs as you whined out his name once more, twice, until your legs gave out, feelings his strong, broad shoulders flexing as he used his brute strength to keep you upright, licking up the gush of fluids that leak out of you, rising with haste and untucking himself from his garments, wrapping a gentle hand around the back of your neck before heâs pulling you upright harshly.
âWant to leave you something,â He whispers against the shell of your ear, âsomething to remember me, if I shall never leave here. Something of me for you to carry on. Alright, sweet dove?â
You nod knowingly, as Marcus had always been careful to pull himself out before breaching that point. He was always careful, hesitantâbut being on the brink of death, he found himself careless and desperate. He couldnât let you go.
He slips inside of you with a hand tucked around your throat, pulling your back to his chest as he snapped his hips into you firmly, groaning lewdly into the side of your neck as he bit down, squeezing at your throat with every soft sound you made and you want it just as bad, forcing your hips back into every push of his cockâyou were positive this pain would last you into next week, but you needed that reminder. His fingers dip into your skin, hard and uncaring and sure to leave marks, but that was what you wanted.
And his groans quickly turn needy, more high-pitched than youâve ever heard them
Heâs holding back, restraining himself. You turn your head, catching his heated gaze as he pants, your thumb tracing over his lip. His hand drags over your stomach, rests, curious of how beautiful you would look swollen and carrying his child.Â
It is a hopeful and distant dream, one that he will never foresee.
âGive it to me, Marcus,â You beg him, âI want it.â
It so easily undoes him, âTake it, my dove,â He growls, coming deep inside of you with a shaky thrust of his hips, squeezing you tight against him, âI think of you, always. You must knowâknow that.âÂ
It pulls at your heart, tugs in a way that makes your entire body ache. He pulls out with a low grunt, silently tucking himself away as you adjust your dress.
âAnd I love you,â You admit, watching as his gaze pulls up quickly, âeven if you cannot say it back. I know. I know you do.â
Marcus breathes harshly through his nose, crowding you once more but it is soothed by a gentle kiss, âYou need to leaveâdo not come back here.â
âMarcus,â You counter, sadness lacing your tone.
âIf, by some miracle, I make it out of here,â He drags his thumb along your jawline, pausing on his words as he looks you over, memorizes you, âI will find you.â
You nod jerkily, eyes never breaking from his, âJust like you always have.â

Creations Dance
Danny likes to dance in the night sky while flying in his new ghostly form which is very ethereal holding glimpses of different parts of space and creations unknown, this continues even after he moves to Gotham.
The sky around him becomes his stage,
A stage that matches him and follows his lead.
Gotham has never had such clear skies, able to see each and every star shining brightly.
Twinkling in many colours almost seeming to dance alongside Danny,
Sharing his joy in their existence.
~
Duke had seen the new phenomenon that was Gotham's skies, who hadn't it was all he would hear people talking around him anytime he left the house, speaking of which were also discussing the same.
Bruce, Tim, and Barbara all researching to see what had caused the change, their bet so far was on magic but not sure who or what was causing it or the reason why.
He had seen the others also poking around seeing if they could find a lead.
But the most curious of all being Jason's new demeanor, ever since the night skies had changed he seemed to calm down almost seeming peaceful.
Which don't get him wrong was a great thing to happen but the timing of it all was too weird, honestly even Bruce was tense about the sudden turn around in demeanor.
So with everyone else occupied he decided he might as well go and enjoy the night sky, it was a very amazing view to miss out on.
He had discovered a new spot a bit far from home but it was quiet and private and would make the perfect spot to stargaze comfortably without being interrupted.
~
He had fallen asleep accidentally but something had woken him up.
He noticed that it was cold, cold enough that he could just barely see his breath in the air in front of him which should not be possible since it was almost summer, had Mr.Freeze escaped?
Looking around now alert he caught a flash of something up above his head.
Looking up he saw..light and darkness and so many things that his mind couldn't comprehend rather less describe.
His eyes shifted trying to make out what he was seeing, in the center was a being..dancing?
The being seemed to feel his eyes on them because in the next moment they turned to stare at him.
He could feel the weight of their eyes on him their entire presence focused around him radiating power and joy.
Continuing to stare at each other the only thing Duke could think of was,
"You're gorgeous.."
Duke snapped back realizing he had said that out loud his face warming, but the being in front of him seemed delighted.
"Thank you! I'm surprised you're able to see me."
"It's hard not to, you were dancing so happily I could feel it in my chest."
They-he? floated closer
"If you liked my dancing so much you could continue to visit me here to see."
" If you're okay with it then I would really like that, my name is Duke."
"It's a date then Duke! You can call me Danny."
~
God what was he going to tell the others? He found the cause for the change in Gotham but Danny seemed to be good, not a villain.
Well he'll keep it a secret for a while more right now he had to prepare for his date!
~
Duke sees Danny dancing around in the sky: "We'll have a winter wedding."
~
Duke seeing the Bats stressing and losing sleep trying to figure what's going on: "Should I say something? Hm nah."
~
Danny Dancing around in the sky while Duke is in the background being a supporting bf cheering him on with pom poms: "That's my boyfriend woo~!"
~
The bats for some reason arguing about each other's past relationships and crushes
Steph pointing at Dick: You're the one with the strangest taste seriously out of everyone in this family Duke and I are the only ones with normal taste! Right Duke!"
Duke " My Boyfriend is a Being/Ancient Ghost of Space That Most of the Time Doesn't Look Human/Humanoid" Thomas: * face sweating while he tries to sneak out of the room* "Umm..*voice crack* y-yeah."
~
I really enjoyed writing this one, I don't see a lot of Duke/Danny, but the works I've read are all so wonderful âĄ

When Bruce brought Mousy in, they had that new baby smell. The baby smell that always seems to be on few months babies. Which is exclusively why weekly cuddle huddles now exists in the manor. Just one day/half day in a week with the whole Batfam +Alfred huddled around in the living room under a giant pillow fort and they just relax and play with Mouse before eventually taking a short group nap to calm down a little bit from all the stress of vigilantism from the week.
-đ¨
That's so sweet and cute. Allow me to show you what it looked like before they established the weekly cuddle huddle.
The Littlest Wayne: New Baby Smell
"The baby's gonna have a nose-shaped dent on top of their head if you keep doing that."
Bruce lifts his head just enough to press his cheek to the top of your tiny head instead, then settles back down into the couch. Tim rolls his eyes.
"How good even is the smell? They're a baby," he says, opening his hands. "B, my turn. Give."
"Hmm. Fine, but remember to support the head. They don't have any well-developed neck muscles yet."
Tim scoops you up and sniffs your face. Then he does it again at the crown. You make a low, curious noise, but otherwise don't care.
"What the hell, this is amazing." Tim turns and walks out of the room with you.
"Tim!" Bruce calls, offended. "Hello? Give me back my baby?"
"My baby now." Tim keeps walking and Bruce gets up and follows him until they're both in the day room. The teen sinks into the much more plush couch cushions and gently presses his nose to your head. "What do they do to babies to make this happen?"
"Google it. I'll hold them while you do," Bruce says, reaching for you again. Tim ducks away from his hands. "That was rude. Don't you have anything else to do today?"
"Cleared my schedule," Tim says. "I'm totally free. Don't need to do a thing but this." He sniffs you again. "Babies are so weird. Hey. Hey you. Yeah, hello, open your eyes. Hi! You're silly and weird and smell great. Do you know that?"
You squint, nose crinkling in irritation. Why is your warm bed being so noisy? You are tired. Silence, warm bed.
"You're bothering them. Give me the baby," says Bruce.
"You're bothering them. Go annoy one of your other kids. I'm getting my brotherly bonding in."
"Bothering? I love bothering people," Jason says, strolling into the room. "What are we doing?"
"Why are you here?" Tim asks.
"Cause I'm also nosy. Answer the question, Replacement."
After some gentle wheeling (read: Jason threatening to go declare himself alive just to make their already hectic schedules ten times worse), they tell him. Dick, who was passing by, hears this and peeks his head in, too, and it's not long before you're being passed around like a bong at a campfire so your family can get a hit of that new baby scent.
Damian finds his whole family another hour later, curled up in a big, careful pile around you and dozing.
"Ridiculous," the assassin mutters, whisking you away to be placed back in your crib. "Don't they know that smell is strongest at your head because it's coming from your brain, which you can only detect because your skull hasn't fully hardened yet? If you smell good, your parents won't want to abandon or kill you in favor of raising your stronger kin, thus greatly increasing your chances of survival. Classic evolutionary biology."
He lowers you back down into the crib. Instinctively, your tiny hand finds its way around his finger and grips it tight. Damian thumbs over the back of your hand for a moment, quickly checks over his shoulder, then leans down and sniffs your head.
"Bye," he mutters, gently prying his hand free and leaving you to rest.

Heâs back. Your boyfriend is back. There's a tangle of nerves in the pit of your stomach at the mere thought of seeing him again, especially after all thatâs happened. You get to hug him, to kiss him, to feel the softness of his thick, beautiful hair under your fingers again.
But not now. His mother is missing. Those are the words Emily spoke to you over the phone after she called to let you know heâs released. Itâs ironic, to hear such wonderful news just to be followed by something so disheartening. And the guilt creeps in, that nagging feeling that maybe, just maybe, if you had gone to visit his mom as planned, this nightmare could've been avoided.
âDo not blame yourself,â Emily adds, her voice is a lifeline in the chaos of emotions. It's as if she can read your thoughts, know exactly what you're feeling without you saying a word. âJust stay where you are, okay? I've got agents keeping an eye on your building. I'll keep you updated."
You're left with no choice but to accept. Your boyfriend may be back, but you still canât see him.
And you get it. His mom comes first, always has, and always will. A child's love for their parents is unbreakable, and if you were in his shoes, you'd move heaven and earth to keep your parents safe. So, naturally, you do what any loving and supportive girlfriend would doâyou wait.
And wait. And wait. And wait. Each passing second stretches into agonizing minutes, and those minutes drag on into long, uncertain hours. One skipped meal turns into two, and suddenly, you're lying in bed in the dead of night with an empty stomach. You know you should take care of yourself, but your mind is fixated on him.
What is he doing? Has he eaten anything? Is he taking breaks at all? Has he managed to get any sleep? And most importantly, has there been any news about his mom?Â
Your mind is racing, flooded with countless unanswered questions. You try to find comfort in sleep, but every ring of your phone feels like a cruel interruption, each time hoping it's himâor at least a word from his friends. But it's always a disappointment, just meaningless notifications and distant messages from your friends about mundane plans.
Eventually, exhaustion overtakes you, but your sleep is restless, it's as if your mind refuses to grant you a moment of respite. Then, in the quiet hours of the night, at two in the morning, you're jolted awake by the familiar sound of a new message on your phone.
His mom is safe.
A sigh of relief escapes you, almost audible in the silence. You type out a response to Emily with trembling hands.
Thatâs good to hear. Is he fine?
Not great, but he's managing.
That's all you need to hear. His mom is safe, and though he's not doing great, he's managing well enough. With a weight lifted off your shoulders, you finally allow yourself to relax. At least now you can drift back into sleep knowing that he's partially okay.
You wake up again later that night by a rapid knocking. At first, you try to brush it off as just noise from the neighbors, but as you slowly come to your senses, you realize it's coming from your apartment.
Half-worried and half-curious, you reluctantly peel yourself from the comfort of your bed, your mind racing with possibilities as you approach the door. When you glance through the peephole, you're met with a sight that instantly jolts you awake. Without a second thought, you fumble with the lock and swing the door open.
And there your boyfriend stands, but he's a far cry from the man you remember. His hair is wild and unkempt, and his eyes, usually bright and lively, are now dull and tired, shadowed by exhaustion. He's dressed in his usual suit and tie, a combination you've always admired for its professional and polished look. But today, his shirt is half-tucked, half-untucked, and his tie hangs loosely around his neck
âSpence, what are youââ
Before you can finish, he bursts through the door, wrapping his arms tightly around you.
"I'm sorry," he breaks, his voice strained with emotion. "IâI wanted to come here as fast as I canâ"
âHey, hey, itâs alright.â You wrap your arms around his waist and take in a deep breath. Despite his disheveled appearance, he smells exactly as you rememberâwarm, familiar, like home. âItâs all good, honey, I donât mind.âÂ
âItâs not alright. I shouldâve answered your callsââ
âSpencer, itâs okay,â you interrupt gently, running your fingers soothingly down his back. âAfter all the time youâve been away, a few more hours hardly matter.â
âWell, it should matter,â he mumbles against your skin, his voice muffled as he buries himself in the crook of your neck. âI shouldnât have left you like this.â
You hold him tighter, feeling his weight against you, his breath warm against your skin. âShh,â you murmur, rubbing his back in comforting circles. âYouâre here now, thatâs all that matters.â
He nods against your neck, his grip on you tightening as if he's afraid to let go.
âHowâs your mom?â
He lifts his head slightly, meeting your gaze with tired eyes. âSheâs... sheâs okay,â he replies. âWe found her. Sheâs safe now.â
You exhale a breath you didnât realize you were holding, relief flooding through you. âIâm glad to hear that,â you say, cupping his cheek gently. âAre you okay?â
He hesitates for a moment as if considering the question carefully. âIâm fine, just⌠tired.â
Your fingers traced the lines of exhaustion etched on his face. âLetâs get you inside and comfortable, okay?â
He nods, and you usher him inside, relief flooding through you as you close the door behind you. Your fingers naturally intertwine with his as you guide him towards your bedroom.
âDo you want anything? Water, food?â
He shakes his head, falling into step with you. âMaybe later,â he murmurs, squeezing your hand. âHow have you been?â
"Well," you begin, your voice filled with warmth. "'I've been keeping busy while you're gone.â
You lead him to the edge of the bed, sitting him down while you stand between his legs, your eyes meeting his tired gaze. "Work has been... work," you say with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. âAnd I managed to put up the shelf I bought online. Look.â
You gesture towards the bookshelf nestled in the corner of the room and he follows your gaze. âYou did that all by yourself?â
"Yeah, I did," you reply, your smile widening. "It wasn't easy without having you constantly nagging me how to do it, but I figured it out."
He nods, a hint of regret shadowing his features. âI'm sorry I wasn't here to help you.â
You shake your head, moving closer to him and placing a comforting hand on his cheek. "Donât apologize.â
He leans into your touch, his gaze meeting yours with a vulnerability that tugs at your heartstrings. His eyes, wide and brown, look up at you, and you canât help but compare him to a puppyâsad, yet undeniably endearing, with an innocence that melts your heart. You brush a thumb gently across his cheek, noting the subtle change in his appearance.
âYou grew out your facial hair.â
A faint blush colors his cheeks as he shifts under your gaze. "Yeah, I guess I did," he replies, his voice tinged with self-consciousness.Â
You can't help but smile at his bashfulness. "I like it," you assure him. "It suits you."
âReally?â
âItâs growing on me.â
His expression softens at your words, a warmth spreading through his tired features. "Maybe I'll keep it.âÂ
You nod in agreement, a smile playing on your lips as he wraps his arms around you, pulling you closer. He sighs contentedly as he leans into your chest, and you gently stroke his hair, soothing him with your touch.
"It's good to be back," he murmurs, his voice muffled against your shirt.
"It's good having you back," you reply softly, brushing a strand of his hair away from his face.
âI thought I was never going to see you again.â
"Why would you think that?â
He hesitates for a moment. "After everything that happened... I wasn't sure if I'd make it back to you.â
You gently tilt his chin up, meeting his gaze. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that.â
His eyes glisten with unshed tears as he nods, his vulnerability laid bare. "I was also afraid that I might lose you,â he adds. âI was afraid youâd get tired of waiting for me.â
âOh, honeyâŚâ
âEveryone I care for always leaves, sooner or later. And I canât bear the thought⌠the thought of not coming home without you in my life,â he admits, his voice trembling with emotion and you feel a lump form in your throat as you listen. "I feel⌠so different right now. I donât feel like my usual self, and I-I was afraid you wouldnât like this version of me.â
You pull back slightly, cupping his face in your hands, your gaze locked with his. "I would never think any less of you.â
He sniffs, and that's when you notice a tear escaping down his cheek. Your heart aches even more. âI might not be the same person you last saw me.â
You shake your head, brushing away his tears with your thumb. "It doesn't matter," you reply earnestly. âYou're still the person I fell in love with, and nothing will ever change that.â
He looks at you in disbelief, as if he can't quite comprehend how you could love him so unconditionally. "How can you be so sure?"
"Because I see you," you reply. "Beyond the surface, beyond the changes, I see who you areâthe kindness, the strength, the love that has always been a part of you. And that's something that remains unchanged, no matter what."
He exhales softly, his features softening as he absorbs your words. But you arenât finished, not until he realizes how worthy of love he is.
âYouâre still the man who loves silly magic tricks, youâre still the man who asks for jello every time we have dessert,â you tease, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of your lips. He cracks a small smile at your playful words. âYouâre still the man who loves books, who loves learning. You're still the man who loves helping other people.â
You lean closer, your breath mingling with his as your lips almost touch.
âAnd Iâll be the one to love every version of you,â you whisper. âThe person you were, the person you are, and the person you're becoming.â
He grips your hips and pulls you closer. Without a word, you understand what he needs, what he's asking for, and you close the distance between you, your lips brushing against his.
You never truly understand the meaning of bittersweet until this very moment. His tears carry the saltiness of sorrow, but his lips offer a sweetness that lingers on your tongue. You feel the weight of his pain, the heaviness of his grief, yet you also sense a comforting warmth in the way his lips move gently against yours.
You can feel his uncertainty, and itâs clear that getting back into his old routine won't be easy after everything he's been through. But youâre here for him and you're willing to support him in any way you can.
Because heâs back. Your boyfriend is back. You can hardly believe you get to hug him, kiss him, and run your fingers through his thick, beautiful hair once more. You canât believe you get to hold him again in your arms, and you hope to do so for a very long time.

"I find you exasperating."
You go out of your way to step on a particularly dry looking leaf along the pathâstained a deep, golden colour and curling at the edges where it rests waiting for the weight of your footâjust to hear the way it crunches beneath the sole of your shoe. At your side, Kakashi's attention is still on the book in his hand, the pages spread open only with his thumb and pinkie finger while the other three support the cracked spine. He doesn't spare you a glance, but he does deign to respond with a curious little hum.
"That's an awfully big word."
The lazy way he says it is enough to irritate you, but his condescending words are almost too much for you to bear. You stop in your tracks, fists curled tightly at your sides, and the white haired young man doesn't so much as slow in recognition of it.
It's fall in Konoha, and while the days are still warm and bright, the breeze that whisks through the village's winding streets is cool. The annoyance you feel prickling under your skin is enough to insulate you from the chill. To numb you to its bite.
You swoop down, dragging your hand lightly along the path to retrieve a handful of small, smooth stonesâno larger than the tips of your fingers. Without a moment's contemplation, you launch one at the back of Kakashi's head, and watch as it bounces off dully.
He keeps walking.
"Irksome."
Another pebble hits the ground after ricocheting off the back of his headband.
"Vexatious."
The next makes contact with his right shoulderblade.
"Antagonistic."
He catches this oneâjust like he could have caught any of the previous threeâwithout even turning around to watch you throw it. His hand, the one not holding his book, shoots up to protect his ear before the pebble can make contact. He holds it pinched between his thumb and forefinger for a moment, still leisurely walking away from you, before he flicks it to the ground.
"You're being so childish today," Kakashi calls back over his shoulder. "Are you sure I'm the antagonist here?"
You hear it then, the smile in his voice, and even though it would only serve to legitimize his accusation it almost makes you stomp your foot petulantly.
"Kakashi!"
Finally, he turns to face you, and even though his mask conceals most of his expression, you can tell it's hiding a grin beneath it. He tilts his head to the side, as though waiting for you to continue.
"How many times have you read that stupid book?"
The familiar novel is closed now, and his page marked, though you're not entirely certain when he did either of those things. He glances at the paperback, as though considering it carefully.
"How many times am I allowed to admit to before you call me a pervert?" he asks.
"You are a pervert," you answer, immediate and sure, while slowly walking towards him to close the gap he put between the two of you. "And you would be even if you were illiterate."
"That's not very nice of you to say," he says, tipping his head back and sighing profoundly as though your insult caused him great pain.
"It's the truth, though."
Kakashi peeks down at you from the corner of his eye as you stand by his side. Without thinking, you reach out and grab the sleeve of his jacket, averting your gaze.
It's quiet for a moment. Just the two of you, the fall breeze, the scattered pebbles, and that atrocious romance book.
"You've been gone for a month," your voice is quiet when you finally speak again. So soft it risks being carried away with the wind.
Kakashi didn't even tell you he was leaving before he was sent off on this last mission; you had to find out from another shinobi the next morning, and all they could tell you was he was gone and they weren't sure when he'd be back.
This isn't unusual with Kakashi. It's happened more times than you care to count. Missions that force him to leave the village at short notice are unavoidableâassignments like that to be expected for any shinobi, but particularly for one of Kakashi's rank.
It doesn't make it any easier.
You've thought about bringing this up to him before. Thought about asking him to tell you when these sorts of things come up. Thought about explaining to him how awful it feels to be the last to know. Thought about telling him what those long days apart feel like in this village without him.
But you don't.
Part of it is pride, you think. You're too stubborn to be the one to show your hand like that. To be vulnerable in front of him in such a mortifying, humbling way. Somehow the mere idea of making any of those admissions seems more embarrassing than trailing along behind him tossing rocks at the back of his head.
Another part is fear. You don't want to be the one to speak this thing between the two of you into existence. To give it shape. To breathe life into it by giving it a name. You and Kakashi have always lived in intentional ambiguity. A certain uncertainty. You're not quite friends, you're not quite lovers, you're not quite anything at all.
You're just the one who's left waiting for him to come home.
And then there's the last partâthe biggest partâthat holds you back. The part you don't quite know how to explain. The part that tells you to bear the pain of missing him, to swallow down your longing, for his sake if not your own. The last thing Kakashi needs is the burden of knowing his duty makes you ache while he's away. That his absence keeps you awake at night. He's got enough he needs to shoulder without you adding to the weight, and this is the least you can do to try and help him carry it.
You let his sleeve slip from your grasp.
"Sorry," you mutter under your breath, shaking yourself from your momentary stupor.
"Are you acting out because I haven't given you enough attention?" Kakashi asks, only his voice is different now than it was a moment prior. Sincere in a way that upsets you more than when he's being intentionally annoying.
You finally bring yourself to look at him, but only to shoot him a narrow-eyed glare.
His own gaze is disarmingly soft when you meet it. Unexpectedly tender. Perceptive in ways you usually choose to overlook.
So much so, in fact, that you're too stunned to even flinch when he taps his book against your forehead.
"Ok, ok," he says with a shrug, spinning on his heel and continuing on down the path at an idle pace, leaving you dumbfounded in his wake. "If you wanted to borrow it, you could've just asked!"

I'M SORRY, JULIET | Mick Schumacher
Mick Schumacher x Secret Girlfriend Vettel!Reader
SUMMARY: You're secretly dating Mick, both of you hiding it from everyone in your families until you get so happy about him getting his first points in Formula 1 that your father, Sebastian, ends up finding out
WORD COUNT: 2404
WARNINGS: Curse words, mentions of teen pregnancy (age 17 from Seb and Hanna), angst. Settled on 2022 British GP
VEE'S NOTES: I missed so much posting about Mick so I had to bring him back... even that means Seb is the "bad guy" here. Hope you like it and thanks for reading! I'll be waiting for your opinions <3 âł TALK TO ME / REQUESTS! | FORMULA 1 MASTERLIST

Š VETTELSVEE (2025). please, do not steal, copy or translate my works. thanks for reading!

You hadnât attended a Formula 1 race for longer than you could remember, and truthfully, you never thought you would again until Mick Schumacher started turning your world pink.
The boy had known you since you were a child, back when you would occasionally attend races hand in hand with your grandfather, Norbert. Your relationship deepened every time you saw each other in the paddock or at family gatherings, and despite the age difference between you, you grew closer and closer until you eventually fell in love with each other.
Even before your relationship began, you were both fully aware of the obstacles in your way. It wasnât just the fact that Mick was six years older than you, but also that you were the children of two drivers who werenât just former rivals and friends, but also were like family.
All of that, combined with the inevitable pressure from the press if they ever found out about your relationship, mattered little to Mick. One afternoon in mid-June, when the Schumachers and the Vettels had gathered together, he had decided to confess his feelings for you. At first, you were completely in shock, hearing from the lips of the very boy you had loved for years that he loved you too.
So, of course, when Mick asked if you wanted to be his girlfriend, you didnât doubt to say yes.
Neither of you cared what others might say because, for now, no one knew about your relationship.
And there you were now, standing in the Aston Martin garage alongside your mother and your three younger siblings, watching the race with great enthusiasm as Sebastian drove the emerald-green car.
To the outside world, it might have seemed like you were simply there for one of the most important days in your fatherâs career since it was his 35th birthday. But in reality more than watching your father, you wanted to see your boyfriend.
Hanna noticed the tense expression on your face. Smiling warmly and without taking her eyes off Emily and Matilda, who were playing tag nearby, she stepped closer to you.
âAre you okay, Y/N? You seem like youâre in another galaxy.â
Your body tensed at the question, something that happened every time someone in your inner circle mentioned directly or indirectly your secret boyfriend. You tried to hide what was on your mind, but the combination of your motherâs presence and your nerves made you say more than you actually wanted.
âIâm nervous because I want dad to finish in the points,â you said with as much conviction as possible, though it wasnât enough to convince Sebastianâs wife. âAnd well⌠Iâm also worried about Mick.â
Hanna raised an eyebrow, curious, but not pressing. She had once been seventeen too. More than that, she had gotten pregnant with you at that age, and she knew that your concern for Mick went beyond simple friendship. Mothers developed a sixth sense when it came to their children, and she knew you too well to be fooled.
âMick? Why would you be worried about Mick?â she asked, making sure not to pry too much or reveal how much she already knew.
âWell⌠heâs having a really good race today,â you replied, lowering your gaze to the floor. âIâd like him to get a high position,â you explained, âeven though with the piece of crap car he has we canât expect much.â
Hanna nodded understandingly, reading between the lines of your words.
âI get it, sweetheart. I was the same way with your dad when he started racing,â she said, deliberately choosing her words to make you overthink. âMick has a lot of talent, but heâs not in a team that helps him shine, so I understand why you care so much.â
âIf you ever need to talk about Mick you know you can trust me, right?â Hanna added,
You appreciated your motherâs words, though you remained cautious just in case she was digging for something that might expose your relationship. How naive you were to think she didnât already know you were dating one of Sebastianâs best friendsâ sons.
When the checkered flag waved and the twenty cars crossed the finish line, your eyes remained glued to the leaderboard. Not only had Carlos, one of your best friends, taken his first victory, but both Mick and Sebastian had finished in the points, placing eighth and ninth respectively.
Your father earning two points on his birthday was amazing. Your boyfriend earning three? Even better, especially since it was his first time scoring points in Formula 1. Saying you were emotional was an understatement, and no matter how much you tried to hold it in, a few tears escaped down your cheeks. You wiped them away quickly to avoid drawing attention.
Hanna, still by your side as she fed the youngest member of the family, noticed you approaching with a hesitant expression, as if you wanted to ask something but were afraid to.
âCan I go to Mickâs garage to congratulate him?â you asked cautiously. âItâs his first time scoring, and Iâd like to say something to him in person before we leave for Switzerland.â
âI know youâre excited for him,â your mother said while burping the baby, âbut I think itâs better if you stay here. Itâs your dadâs birthday, and honestly? I doubt Haas would even let you see Mick.â
You nodded, though sadness crept in. You looked at the monitors, seeing the top three drivers already celebrating on the podium. Even from your location, you could hear the Spanish national anthem playing over the speakers.
âMum,â you tried again, âcome on, let me go congratulate Mick. Iâll be back quickly, and Iâll be here by the time dad gets back!â
Your exaggerated gestures and the way you waved your arms were too adorable, and Hanna couldnât help but see herself in you. She remembered how she had felt when she started dating Sebastian, wanting nothing more than to see him every chance she had. As much as she tried to be the responsible mother, sometimes she just couldnât help it. This was one of those moments, one where she gave in to the charms of her eldest, the spitting image of her father.
âMake sure you come back as soon as possible,â she relented with a small smile. âI donât want your father calling me a bad mother for letting his baby do grown-up things.â
âThank you, mum!â
With that being said, you sprinted off, weaving through mechanics, fans, and celebrities scattered around the paddock. You checked your phone to see if Mick had texted you, but there was nothing. That only made you hurry toward the Haas garage. Seeing it empty, you quickly turned around and headed toward the hospitality area, which was further away. While dodging anyone in your way, you sent Mick a message telling him you were on your way and that you had to be quick before your father returned.
When you arrived, the first thing you saw was Mick soaked in champagne, holding a bottle in his hand. The Haas team members, including Guenther, were celebrating. You felt out of place and your insecurity crept in, making you want to turn around and leave. But then Mick saw you, and the moment your eyes met, you knew you had made the right choice.
Mick immediately broke away from the group and rushed to your side, hugging you tightly. He wanted nothing more than to kiss you, even if just a quick peck, but his rational side reminded him that now was not the place.
âCongratulations, Mick!â you exclaimed, your excitement taking over you. âOh my God, oh my God! Iâm so proud of you!â you squealed, throwing your arms around his neck.
âI finally get to see you, princess. You have no idea how much Iâve wanted to,â he murmured playfully. âAlthough, Iâd love to do a few other things with you.â
Your face turned bright red, something you had grown used to ever since you started dating Mick and were used to hear his endless compliments.
âHow was the race?â he asked. âDid you like it, even though I probably looked like an idiot who doesnât know how to drive?â
âDonât be ridiculous, Mick!â you scolded, lightly hitting his arm. âYou scored points for the first time. If thatâs being an idiot, then I donât know what that makes me.â
âThat makes you the love of my life.â
Mick pulled you even closer, and just as he was about to kiss you, completely ignoring the risks, a voice interrupted.
Or rather, someone did.
âWhat the hell do you think youâre doing, Mick Schumacher?!â
As soon as you heard your fatherâs shouts, you and Mick pulled apart. You stood frozen, your face turning completely pale as Mick began cursing himself. How was he supposed to explain to the man who was like a father to him in many ways that he was dating you, his daughter?
You didnât stay silent. You, who had a temper as strong as the man who had given her life, stepped between Mick and your father, trying to ease the tension that had formed over a simple show of affection.
Dad, stop! Itâs not what it looks like!â you exclaimed, nervous but determined.
âWhat do you mean itâs not what it looks like?â Sebastian scoffed, unwilling to believe your words. âCome on, Y/N, you were about to kiss him!â
âYes, because Mick is my boyfriend,â you stated without hesitation. âWeâve been secretly dating since last month because we didnât want to say anything just yet,â you explained without caring about the consequences. âSo donât act like this and use your fucking head and be reasonable for once.â
The Aston Martin driver was stunned, unsure how to react to the news that his daughter had a boyfriend, and that it was none other than the son of the man he considered his best friend, who had once been his mentor.
Mick watched as Sebastian looked at you in disbelief before shifting his gaze back to you, focusing all his attention on you.
âY/N, this is insane⌠Mick,â he gestured toward him, âisnât just any driver, heâs the son ofââ
âI already know, Dad!â you interrupted, your tone sharp. âAnd? Does it matter? I donât care who his father is, or who mine is, or the relationship between you two,â you tried to keep your voice steady. âWe love each other, we take care of each other, and thatâs the only thing that should matter to you.â
Mick alternated his gaze between father and daughter, finally mustering the courage to say something. But, before he could even open his mouth, Sebastian raised his right hand, silencing him immediately:
âStop trying to fix this. Youâve fucked up, Mick,â he muttered as he stepped closer, his voice low enough that not even you could hear it. âMy daughter is too young, and you know you could get into serious trouble if this gets out, he added before stepping away and moving back toward you. â I just sort of saved you from shit talks about you, so consider yourself lucky.â
âYou canât blame Mick for this, Dad,â you interjected defiantly. âWeâre adults, and we can make our own decisions, so just leave us alone already.â
âYou are not an adult, Y/N Vettel, youâre still a kid,â Sebastian snapped, his voice filled with unfiltered anger. âStop acting like you are, because all you are is a reckless little girl.â
âLet me remind you that when you were 17 you fucked mum and you got her pregnant.â
You threw it out without thinking, and immediately, you regretted it, placing your hands over your mouth as if that could fix what you had just said. You knew you had been the most beautiful mistake your parents had, but you didnât think about the impact it could have in their lives, especially in your fatherâs.
"I'm sorry, Juliet," the older driver began, trying not to let his anger and, especially, the pain he felt from your comment show. "But it's time to leave."
"Dad..."
"Not 'dad' or anything, Y/N," Sebastian said, raising his voice and making it sound harsher than he had intended at first. "Do you think itâs funny for me to see my daughter rubbing herself up against the one I consider my son?"
Mick paled as he heard his mentorâs words, feeling completely awful because he knew Sebastian was right. You threw him a look, but didnât have the strength to answer. You were so in shock that you didnât know how you hadnât just left yet.
"And you, Mick," he said now, shooting a penetrating look at the young man, "I thought you could show a little more respect for our family and everything weâve built together all these years."
Having said that, Sebastian took you by your shoulders carefully and started walking back to where the rest of your family was, not giving you or Mick a chance to say goodbye.
"We don't choose who we fall in love with, Sebastian," Schumacher blurted out, still frozen in place.
Your father and you turned around. The look of disappointment on Sebâs face made Mick feel a thousand times worse than he ever thought he could, but it was the sight of your tears falling rapidly that made him start crying.
"I expected you, more than anyone, to agree with this," he continued, pointing at you and himself, "because if thereâs one thing I know, itâs that your daughter deserves someone good who can make her life the best it can be. If I canât be that person because you wonât let us..." he pointed at himself, "...then Iâll be okay with it being someone else."
Vettel swallowed hard, not knowing what to say to the Germanâs words.
"I just want Y/N to be happy," the boy said again, "and if I have to let her go for now until you can accept and see that Iâm really in love with your daughter, and that sheâs the love of my life, Iâll be willing to do so."
With that, the young man turned around, trying not to look back, hoping to hear some words from those he had considered his family for so many years.
But, unfortunately for him, you and your father didnât.

Ki2k Masterlist||MainMasterlist (not updated, sorry!)|| Ao3||Word Count: 2k|| AN: I keep seeing so much queen Sabrina Carpenter stuff around the Hotch fandom these days; she's who I envisioned reader to be like here--but obviously open to interpretation of whatever popstar you would want to be! I lowkey could never picture this happening, but it was fun, nonetheless. This is also likely my last story I'll do for trope tuesday because they take a lot of time, haha. Unless I do a short drabble!
Tags/Warnings:Â female reader, speculating bau team!, gossip!!, Penelope Garcia is your biggest fan!!!, you're a superstar who sells out stadiums, even rossi knows this!, mysterious!hotch, more of a fun one-shot than anything too fluffy, very team-focused, non-bau!reader
Summary:Â Hotch has been in a great mood, oddly enough, and when one day, he hands over tickets to Penelope for her favorite singer of all time--you--the team really begins to wonder where Hotch is spending his free time.
The bullpen of the BAU was unusually animated for a Monday morning. Derek leaned back against his desk, arms crossed, watching Reid flip through files at an astonishing rate while Penelope hovered over both their shoulders, her curiosity practically buzzing.
âSeriously, Spence, you didnât notice anything different about Hotch last week?â Derek asked, his tone teasing but genuinely curious.
Reid, without looking up from his reading, adjusted his glasses. âWell, he did leave on time every day, which is statistically significant for him.â
âLeaving on time? Thatâs an understatement. The man was practically sprinting out the door at five oâclock. And he smiled--actually smiled--at me yesterday,â Penelope chimed in, her eyes wide with the thrill of the gossip.
Emily, walking in with a cup of coffee in hand, joined the group. âDonât forget, he also took a personal day last Friday. Whenâs the last time Hotch took a day off that wasnât for something work-related?â
Derek raised an eyebrow. âExactly! Somethingâs up. Hotch is seeing someone; itâs got to be.â
Reid finally looked up, curiosity overcoming him. âBut who would it be? I mean, we practically live at work. When would he even have the time to meet someone?â
Penelope twirled a strand of her brightly colored hair, thinking. âOh, my sweet geniuses, thatâs the million-dollar question! I could do a little cyber snooping--â
âPenelope, no hacking into Hotchâs personal life,â Emily cut off, her tone half-serious. âBut I agree, itâs odd. Heâs even been more... whatâs the word?â
âChill?â Derek suggested with a chuckle. âFor Hotch standards, anyway.â
The groupâs laughter was a mixture of disbelief and genuine amusement, just as Rossi walked up, a knowing smile playing onhis lips. âTalking about our fearless leaderâs mysterious new habits?â
Derek nodded, welcoming Rossi into the conversation. âRossi, youâre the profiler extraordinaire with all the life experience. Whatâs your read on this?â
Rossi stroked his chin, pretending to ponder deeply. âWell, if I were a betting man--and I occasionally am--Iâd say our boy Hotch might just be reminding himself thereâs more to life than case files and jet fuel.â
Reidâs brow furrowed in thought. âItâs statistically rare for individuals in high-stress jobs to make sudden changes to their behavioral patterns without a significant emotional or personal catalyst.â
âExactly,â Penelope squealed, delighted by the support for their theories. âHeâs got to be dating someone. This is just like those romance novels where the broody, mysterious man finds love and starts changing his ways.â
JJ laughed, sipping her coffee. âLetâs not get carried away. It could be anything--maybe heâs just taking up a new hobbyâŚor maybe itâs Jack.â
âBut a hobby that makes him leave work on time and take days off? Thatâs not just any hobby; thatâs a passion,â Derek countered, his smile suggesting he was thoroughly enjoying the speculation.
The group quieted as Hotch suddenly appeared, his pace steady and his expression unreadable as always. He paused by their cluster, eyes narrowing slightly.
âMorning,â he greeted, a small, almost imperceptible smile on his lips. âI trust weâre all ready to focus on the real mysteries at hand today?â
Caught in their own theories, the team straightened up, mumbling their morning greetings. Hotchâs gaze lingered for a moment longer than usual, giving nothing away.
As he walked off towards his office, Emily whispered to the group, âSee? Happier. Iâm telling you, thereâs definitely something--or someone--new in his life.â
Rossi chuckled, watching Hotch disappear into his office. âOr maybe our esteemed unit chief just decided itâs time to start living a little. Either way, itâs good to see.â
The team nodded in agreement, the mystery of Hotchâs unusual behavior lingering in the air, adding a layer of intrigue to their day. Derek grinned, clapping his hands together.
âAlright, letâs get to work. And maybe, just maybe, weâll crack the case of the Happy Hotch.â
Laughter echoed softly among them as they dispersed to their desks, the dayâs work ahead, but their minds still occasionally drifted to the enigma of Aaron Hotchnerâs uncharacteristic lightness.
Days after the team's animated discussion about Hotch's peculiarly cheerful demeanor, Penelope Garcia was in her vibrant lair, surrounded by her kaleidoscope of tech and trinkets.
The sound of a catchy pop song filled the air, and Penelope couldn't help but dance and sing along to the tune, her voice echoing slightly off the walls lined with monitors.
She was in the middle of a particularly enthusiastic chorus when a knock at the door made her jump. Swiveling around in her chair, she saw Hotch standing at the entrance, an amused smile barely touching his lips.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you," Hotch said, his eyes twinkling with a hint of humor.
Penelope chuckled, brushing off her surprise with a flamboyant wave of her hand. "Oh, it's nothing, Sir. Just enjoying some tunes while I work. You know, fuel for the brain!"
Hotch nodded, his gaze drifting momentarily to the colorful post-it notes of affirmations on her screen. "I couldnât help but overhear. Do you like this artist?" he asked, nodding toward the speaker from where the music still played, though now at a lower volume.
Penelopeâs eyes lit up, eager to share her enthusiasm. "Like her? I adore her! Sheâs all about empowerment and fun, and her beats are just infectious. Plus, her lyrics are, like, super relatable. She's a total queen!" Penelope exclaimed, not missing the opportunity to promote her musical taste.
Hotch's smile grew a bit as he listened to Penelopeâs gushing review. "I see," he said, his voice filled with a warm, curious tone that Penelope rarely heard from him. "Thanks, Garcia."
With a final nod and a mysterious smile, he turned and left as quietly as he had arrived, leaving Penelope staring after him, slightly confused but smiling nonetheless.
She shrugged to herself and turned the volume back up, diving back into her work with the music as her soundtrack, her mind briefly wandering to wonder about Hotchâs sudden interest in pop culture.
"Maybe heâs getting a life outside those case files after all--and a decent taste in music..." she murmured to herself, her head bobbing to the beat as she focused back on her screens, the mystery of Aaron Hotchner adding yet another curious, albeit lighter, layer to her day.
The following week brought an air of excitement that seemed to linger around the BAU, particularly around Penelope Garcia's tech-filled lair. The atmosphere was thick with disbelief and joy as Penelope, unable to contain her excitement, recounted a recent encounter with Hotch to JJ and Emily.
"You guys will not believe this!" Penelope beamed, her hands animatedly waving the prized items in the air. "Hotch--our Hotch--just handed me these!" She fluttered a pair of tickets like they were sacred texts.
JJ and Emily leaned in, eyes widening as they caught sight of the tickets. "No way! How did he even get those?" Emily exclaimed, her skepticism matched by her amusement.
Rossi, overhearing the commotion as he walked in, joined the group, a curious smile playing on his lips. "What's all this about?" he inquired, peering over to see what had stirred up such excitement.
Penelope held up the tickets with a theatrical flair. "These, my dear Rossi, are tickets to see none other than--" she paused for dramatic effect, "--the popstar we were just talking about last week! And not just any tickets--Hotch got them for me!"
Rossi's eyebrows shot up, a clear sign of his surprise. "Those tickets? I heard on the news this morning that they were impossible to get. The show sold out in minutes," he commented, adding to the bewildering nature of Hotchâs gift.
Before Penelope could respond, Derek Morgan swooped in, his hand snatching the tickets from her grip to inspect them himself. "Let me see these," he said, his voice a mix of suspicion and awe. Flipping them over, his eyes scanned the details, and a slow whistle escaped him. "Ladies, these arenât just any tickets. These are front row. Front. Row. Do you realize how good these seats are?"
JJ laughed, shaking her head in disbelief. "This is insane. Hotch pulled some serious strings. Front row to see a popstar like her? That's not just pulling strings; that's a whole concert orchestra at work!"
Penelope snatched the tickets back from Derek, clutching them close to her chest. "I knew Hotch had a secret side to him!" she exclaimed, her previous theories about his recent behavior seeming to find validation. "This is like, the best thing ever. I can't even--"
Emily leaned in, her voice low and playful. "You know what this means, right? You're going to have to get all dolled up, Penelope. Front row means youâll probably be on camera!"
Penelopeâs grin widened at the thought, already planning her outfit in her mind. "Oh, trust me, I will be camera-ready. Our stoic unit chief might just make a fangirl out of me yet!"
Rossi chuckled, shaking his head as he watched the excitement bubble over. "Well, I'll say this," he mused, "it's nice to see Hotch letting his hair down a bit, even if itâs in his own unique way."
âWhoever heâs seeingâs got some serious connections,â Derek shared.Â
The group nodded in agreement, the mystery of Hotch's recent behavior adding an unexpected but welcome layer of camaraderie and speculation among the team. As they dispersed back to their tasks, the buzz of excitement remained, the BAU team finding a rare moment of lightness amidst their usual, graver responsibilities.
At the concert, JJ and Penelope stood in the front row, the pulsing lights and thumping beats of the music wrapping around them like a vibrant cloak. You were the popstar that Penelope (and the rest of society) could not get enough of.
Your performance had a cascade of dazzling visuals and soul-stirring vocals that had the crowd roaring with excitement. Each song seemed to resonate perfectly with the audience, a mix of chart-topping hits and beloved classics that had JJ and Penelope singing along, lost in the nostalgia and the thrill of the night.
They felt like they were sixteen all over again.
As the concert progressed, the atmosphere turned electric, each track bringing a new wave of cheers from the audience. You moved with a grace and confidence that commanded attention, your presence on stage both mesmerizing and awe-inspiring. The night was already unforgettable, but it was about to become even more so.
Before launching into the next song, you paused, your gaze sweeping over the crowd with a playful yet intense look.
"This next song," you began, your voice ringing clear over the din, "is a very special one. Itâs for the grumpy man who changed my life. He's from here, and guess what? He's here tonight. Supporting me, despite having the most important job out there."
The crowd erupted in cheers, curiosity piqued by your heartfelt introduction. You continued, your eyes twinkling with emotion and mischief, "And because heâs here, supporting me, I want to give a shout-out to someone very special in the audience tonight--Penelope!"
Penelopeâs jaw dropped, her eyes wide with shock, and JJ turned to her with an expression that mirrored her disbelief. "How does she know your name?" JJ whispered her voice a mix of excitement and confusion.
Before Penelope could formulate a response, you launched into a flirty, romantic ballad, your voice soaring as beautifully as the lyrics. As yo sang, you glanced toward the VIP section, and with a sly wink and a blown kiss, you acknowledged someone standing there..
Driven by curiosity and an overwhelming sense of wonder, JJ and Penelope followed your gaze. There, among a few shadowed figures in the VIP section, stood none other than Aaron Hotchner. His usually impassive face wore a soft, almost shy smile as he acknowledged the kiss with a slight nod, his eyes locked on the stage.
He was dressed in a black button-up and jeans--a far contrast to his usual attire. He looked relaxedâŚhappy. Maybe not singing along to the words, but he sure knew them. He inspired them.Â
The realization hit Penelope like a wave. "Oh my god, JJ, Hotch is her boyfriend? Hotch is the grumpy man who changed her life?" she gasped, her voice a mix of shock and delight.
JJ laughed, shaking her head in amazement. "Looks like we've been underestimating our boss's ability to keep secrets," she said, her eyes twinkling with humor and newfound respect for their unit chief.
As the song ended and you took a graceful bow, the crowdâs applause was deafening. JJ and Penelope clapped and cheered along, their hearts full of joy and their minds buzzing with the nightâs revelations.
The concert continued, but for JJ and Penelope, the evening had transformed into something even more magical--a story they would share and reminisce about for years to come, the night their grumpy boss was revealedto be the secret boyfriend of a popstar, right before their very eyes.

w.c. 3.4kđso much words for this crap / sunday x truckdriver!gnreader (dafuqq is this dynamic), small stories, 99% of the penacony cast are impressed by you(they should be), robin is a cutie pie, sunday is a closeted robin fan, you and sunday squabble daily, sunday your wonweek is showingđ, wrote this in the tumblr drafts vrođĽpart crack [đŹđđŤđ˘đđŹ đŻđ¨đĽđŽđŚđđŹ]: 1 â 2 â...
a/n: farted this out bc i got inspired by this otome isekai manhwa i was reading [truck knight taekbae] + aesthetics inspired by [who made me a princess]
darkness monopolised your vision ever since you got here; day time never graced you. the insulated walls do their job wellâonly the vibrations, the frayed edges of sound, can be heard.Â
chains grip your wrists, the metal twisting into your skin, wringing it like cloth. ouch. what now? maybe if you fart consecutively, and hard enough, you can blow your way out?
"brother... whyâŚ?" vibrations again.Â
"donât⌠monitor⌠danger."
the iron door creaks. light shines a single ray though the gap, and like the sun, the radiance blinds you. you squint your eyes, tracing the outline of two silhouettes.
the taller one approaches, each stride covering an equal, set amount of distance without a lost beat. "i have one question," their tone dashes against the whetstone, pointing a sharpened blade at you. "who are you?"
their eyes did not welcome any light, no reflection of you in them, as if you were only a whisper of the air. you feel the cracks in your throat. "me? iâm just a truck driver."
you are having tea with sunday.
after the less-than-ideal introductions, the picture cleared: you, a truck driver, are isekaiâd into penacony via truck inception(?).
"i apologise for my manners," sunday sips his cup. "when you... suspisciously appeared in my bathroom, unresponding, there was no room to be courteous."
"sorry about that," you play with the rim of your cup awkwardly. "i'm not sure what happened either." the honest truth.
sunday shakes his head. he's majestic. "so, you said that you wereâŚ" he taps his chin.
"a truck driver."
"a criminal?"
"... truck driver."
âan assassin?â
"..." you almost turned into one.
little did you know, your lone walk was accompanied by a slithering shadow. except... it was no shadow. it was a dazzling spotlight that had fans and reporters following her repslendent glow, as expected of penacony's halovian songstress: robin.
"you mentioned you were a truck driver," finally, someone knows what a truck driver is. "will you allow me to see it?"
yes, your truck teleported into the dreamscape too. how could you live without them? they sit by a pavement on penacony's streets, hoarding the stares of confused citizens.
you watch an infinite cosmos flare in robin's incandescent eyes. your truck is just that impressive. "wow...! it's so beautiful!"
"what a curious machine," a blue and blonde-haired pair are analysing. "a vehicle that inefficiently operates on wheels? rather old-fashioned."
"what in the ever-lovin' fudge? my great-great-great-great-great gramps had one of those!"
"a sight of blissful beauty blooms before my eyes. amazing!"
âwhere am i?âÂ
âacheron, it hasnt even been a minute yet and youâre confused.â
people's eager stomping tremble the earth and sky. it's just that impressive. in the distance, an extra pair of wary eyes observe you.
"i admit, i am still suspiscious of you," sunday crosses one leg over the other. "robin sang nothing but praises. however, i'm afraid i'll need you under my surveillance to prove your trustworthiness."
urk. possessive much? "why are there knives, swords, and rocket launchers on the table?" sunday cocks an eyebrow at you, expecting you to make a move. "... i'm really not an assassin, sunday." but you do know his entire life story, so you're actually his stalker.
suddenly. the room blurs. an annoying static repeats, plucking the sensory wires from your circuit. is he... is he using his thingamajig powers?
"you may not be one... for now." he looks out a large window. you follow his gaze. wait a minute. what are they doing to-
âMY TRUUUUCK!!!â your passion transcends boundaries, past the lower-case and forcing the caps lock. lunging, you rush outside the mansion. "HEy!"
"aaaaa!! run!"
"eeek!"
"nyaa~!" who the hell was that?
"what the..." you are stunned. how dare they vandalise your truck! "was this your order?" you turn to sunday, infuriated.
"what will you do now?" a corner of his lips lifts, provoking.
you clench your fist. no one messes with you, the best truck driver, and only truck driver, in penacony.
hypothetically, if you got hit by a truck and ended up here, could you, a truck driver, hit a penaconian and isekai them over to your world?
"hey, robin?"
"hm?" her smile is innocent, gazing at you with a prospering kindness deserving of its own halo.
you smack your head. a dozen times over. then a few more.
"hey, aventurine?"
"hi hi~"
you shake your head. wouldn't his luck interfere? if anything, you'd be the one to get run over again.
"hey, acheron?"
"who are you?"
doesn't even know who you are despite telling her a minute ago. if she ended up in your world, she'd be asking the same question anyway: "where am i?"
you pick your nose. she'd slice you in half. period.
"hey, rappa."
"dazzling ninja rappa at your service!"
"as am i, the dimension-trespassing truck driving ninja!"
unfortunately, ninja roleplay with rappa is too fun. every friday, you play dnd together and you can't miss it this week.
there's only one person left.
"hey sun-"
"don't."
you stare blankly. "i didn't say anything?"
sunday glares back. "if you are going to speak to me, do it in front of me, and not while starting the engine of your truck."
"tch... damn."
"could i use your truck as a stage prop for my next concert?"
"oh, what if it suddenly rains?"
"what if i accidentally trip?"
you notice a gap in robin's behaviour. "how come you're so nervous today?"
robin looks at you, mouth on the verge of speaking. she looks down at her shoes. "hmm..." she tilts her head, lips mumbling. she hesitates, unready to spill her heart.
there's one thing you do best. you suggest, "why don't we go for a ride in my truck?"
robin's hunched back quickly reshapens itself. it's been some time since you've had a passenger, but with the way robin swiftly adjusts herself in the seats, excited, you don't worry about the mess in the truck. you start the vehicle, ready to stroll penacony's streets.
you hand her a piece of unexpired candy from a compartment, and she accepts the gesture. it doesn't take long before robin settles herself afterwards. she sighs. "... it's my brother, he'll be attending a show for the first time. i'm a bit nervous."
"why would he not be supportive?" you question.
robin shakes her head. "it may be because my brother is a perfectionist. i can't help but believe that he'll be expecting a flawless performance."
halovian songstress robin, a nation-wide icon, for her, expectations continually rise without rest. but for now, she sits next to you as robin herself, without the embellishments and performing. a breath of fresh air.
words of reassurance may be able to tend her heart. "make as many mistakes as you want," you comfort, "you are robin yourself before you are a singer, a civilian, and a sister."
the candy in her palm is scrunched. her heart, opens. robin herself, smiles. not because she is expected to, not because she is told to, but because she wants to. "thank you."
on the eighth day, grant... sunday getting down on one knee for you. wasn't this a bit fast?
your mouth opens. "are you proposing right now?"
"what are you on about?" sunday looks up at you, eyebrows scrunched. in his hands, a riiiiiiiiiiing- no, he's just cleaning his shoes with a cloth. better luck next time.
robin suggested to use your truck like a cabbie. that way, you can still keep your pride as a truck driver, and provide ears for wary hearts:
a student struggling with academics.
someone who doesn't know which direction to take.
the ramblings of a doctor whose words are spoken with precision, slicing his words into the victim's flesh. but behind the gloves are trembling hands that only wishes to sew tight the rotting wounds of a poor gambler, if only he would let him.
a galaxy ranger who witnessed the brevity of lives in the isolated expanse of the universe, walked along the shore of nihility. she departs with you her true name so that when she returns, your heart can accompany her solitude once more.
a young girl who cannot tell if the blood on her hands are someone else's, or her own. every allude to life reminded her of a deathly fate. however, as your passenger, she is reminded that she can forge a life of her own, undecided by destiny. penance and redemption, then, in the end, she hopes to regain her humanity.
you've listened to them all. unlocked each of their hearts, always gave back the key if they ever wanted to return again. turns out, the people of penacony are not much different from those in your world.
robin would pass out if she saw this.
from what you remember, there were 88 doors in the oak family's residence (you're a dedicated fan). you've explored each one, door 86, 87, 88... 89?
a secluded door that can only be seen with eagle eyes. the mystery kindles sparks in your chest, flaming curious fires. you slowly open the door. 86, 87, 88, 89... robins? (one for every door?) they all stare at you within their enclosures, as either posters, figurines, or books cover. in the middle sat a familiar head of grey hair, lowered, back turned towards you.
"sunday?"
the head moves up. gradually, it creaks. never in your life, did you expect to see a robin-crazed hidden room, nor a red-faced sunday. oh robin, the brother you were so worried about, is actually your no.1 fan. sunday's halovian wings flap furiously, doing nothing to cool his face down. his expression seems annoyed to have been caught in the act. "... what?"
"is this your robin shrine?" this is it. this will be your revenge, and the beginning tastes sweet. "so, you're the real criminal out of the two of us."
one can imagine the fumes blowing out of his ears. his eyes glisten, on the verge of tears. oops, he's really embarrassed.
you turn your face away, allowing sunday as much privacy as possible within his very private room. or rather, you are avoiding his eyes to suppress laughter. "you're coming to robin's concert, right?"
"you coming?" you gesture towards your majestic truck. it's a beautiful night for a truck ride.
sunday, your victim, is reluctant, of course. he probably still believes that you are an assassin who will run him over. "i won't die, will i?"
you huff. "i'm just a truck driver. what's the worse i could do? kidnap you?" sunday stares at you, frightened. it does not take much for him to believe in your potential for evil. "it's a joke... i'm not a criminal. or an assassin."
"just for a few minutes," he resigns. score. you open the door for sunday, who eventually sits down. you start the engine.
"welcome." sunday is in your truck. what an achievement. heh. you place your foot on the pedal.
it is silent apart from the engine's buzzing. you hand sunday an unexpired bag of chips from the compartment. he receives it, inspecting the packaging. his eyes trail to the window, studying how the sunset paints penacony with autumn's palette, but beyond it, he is watching the dots of people. you watch the melancholic sunday.
"what's on your mind?" you ask.
"nothing significant."
"well, the whole point of my trucking service is to listen to passengers." you turn the wheel. honestly, you don't know where you're going, and neither does sunday. the moon guides you tonight, two lost souls. "say anything."
sunday fiddles with the bag of chips. "...maintaining the oak family status, work, the people," he finally speaks, "it balances on my shoulders."
you hum, signalling him to continue.
"wouldn't a utopia free from suffering solve everything?"
quite a hard-hitting question for a truck driver, sunday. you nod. "of course. the only problem is that it is not real - everyone is forced into the current reality. it is harsh and cruel..." you blink. "but we are not powerless to it."
"how do you suggest we solve it?"
it is quiet for a moment before your mind wanders to every passenger you've had. they all had one thing in common. "i guess, a lot of people want a shoulder to lean on, an ear to open for them, and a voice to validate their feelings. we can do that."
all those passengers seemed to shine brighter at the end of the ride, ready to chase a dream. you may not be saving the world - you are no hero, just a truck driver - but you help tend the invisible wounds of people: the blood that drips from sharp words, the bruises that sting from deprecation, the headaches.
isn't it fine to take it slow? navigate the dark, little-by-little, and by the end, there will be an even brighter light.
"... i see." sunday watches your hands manoeuvre the truck's mechanics. the flick in your eyes that turn to him, to which he shies away from. then, he rests his eyes. as the truck drives, a silence hangs, one of quiet understanding. bit-by-bit, you gaze into sunday's heart.
it's been some time since you got run over.
adjusting to penacony was difficult at first. you had to adapt to life at the family's mansion, and the daily customs. however, the burden was eased slightly, all partly thanks to a special helper.
every morning, a cup of coffee or freshly-squeezed juice presents itself in the kitchen. every afternoon, your favourite bookshop always happens to have the book you wanted, already reserved for you. every night, your bedroom door slowly opens, quietly. your blanket, moves up to cover your torso. the mess in your room, rearranged and picked up. the back of a hand, feathers over your cheek. and nothing more happens. your little helper is easily satisfied at the sight of a peaceful you.
"does robin know about this room?" you are flipping through an ancient truck magazine.
sunday is wiping the display cabinets. his wings are flapping again, turning to you. "you didn't mention it to her, did you?"
"no, but she's going on tour soon after," you play with the corner of a page. "why don't you send her your encouragement?â
"what do you suggest?" he asks.
you look at the ceiling. it's full of robin's pictures. "a heartfelt letter? personally, i would buy her a truck but i don't think she needs that."
a small laugh escapes sunday's lips. you did not expect that. "that would be nice." he moves over to a desk, and from a drawer he pulls out a page adorned with blue flowers, and a pen.
you walk over to his desk. "you're into stationary?"
"i don't see why not," sunday says, "my work requires mostly writing, after all."
he begins from the top: 'dear sister,'. from there, sunday is a bit clumsy and awkward, asks her how the weather is and if she had breakfast. "... i've never done this before," is what he said. but gradually, the pen picks up, and the words flow. now, there was too much left unspoken when sunday reaches the final line, and had to cross out the sentence he was writing. a total of four pages, both sides filled, with more words waiting to be said - those would be left for when the siblings reunite.
"maybe we can have the people of penacony sign it too." you smile, imagining robin's elation when she reads it.
sunday nods. he scratches his signature and hands the paper to you. "here."
you take the pen, hesitant. "what's this for?"
sunday raises an eyebrow. "you're a citizen of penacony, are you not?"
... oh. were you? your throat dries. when did you become a part of penacony? weren't you... just a truck driver?
sunday watches you contemplate. a silence drawls. suddenly, he wraps his hand around yours, holding the pen still. "why are you hesitating?" nib meets page. ribbon by ribbon, the ink dances. "you belong here, don't you?"
your chest grows warm. you weren't expecting that either. full of surprises, aren't we? the same person that chained your hands and observed you, coldly answered to you, is offering his warmth. his hand is resolute, unwilling to let go. it reassure your doubts. you smile.
the pen lifts:
'from, your loving brother and, your dear friend.'
surprisingly, sunday has gotten comfortable with your presence in his forbidden robin cove. as you have with his in your magnificent truck.
yet, as much as you've driven closer, the gap is bottomless. sunday doesn't appreciate you looking at him, yet, he's allowed to drill holes in you when you're not aware?
you've asked robin, but she answered cryptically with a smile. "he used to watch over me as well, overprotective as always, but i'm sure that's his way of expressing himself when words fail him."
you reccount the passing moments.
a person more of action, lesser of words. for his people, he worked endlessly without their validation. for robin, he hid in the shadows of his much brighter devotion and support. for you, he let you slowly seep into his life, and you absorbed him into yours. a truck driver and an overqualified partner-in-crime.
quiet devotion is a tender song. without the beating of his loud commands, penacony would be left unprotected. without the instrumental scratching of his pen, there would be no light on the streets. without the percussive clicking of his shoes, the citizens would not be able to dance and celebrate.
this was sunday's song; no one else heard it, but it hums beneath the surface, invisible. those who press their ears against it can sense its vibrations. a silence that speaks louder than words or lyrics. and now, you can't mistake it, your heart beats to the silent song.
it is the night of robin's last stage in penacony. you and sunday stand on a balcony, watching over her. the final song sways along the night-caressed breeze, setting free the wings of hopeful listeners and dreamchasers.
though for a certain someone, he was using more of his eyes than ears. when you meet his golden pair, they turn away as usual.
"what's with you?" you lean against the railing.
his hands hide behind his back. "nothing significant."
"hey, i thought we were past that already. i told you i'm a truck driver who listen to their passengers."
silence hangs. a few more spoken words, "and? have you told your story?"
"me?"
his eyes find yours, but they don't turn away anymore. behind his role as penacony's figure and as a brother, it is sunday who is talking to you. in his gaze, it doesn't judge, impartial, waiting to listen, asking if it is okay for you to lend him your key.
he's come a long way into this journey. now, he awaits at your doorstep. the words catch in your throat. "i'm... just a truck driver..." you close your eyes. "a truck driver who got lost here."
sunday shakes his head. "iâm not asking about one miniscule part of your life. behind that is you who experienced a reality that built the person in front of me," his voice is shaky. an unsteady hand opens and closes, hopes to reach out for yours, but is uncertain. "i'm... asking for permission to learn all of you."
"..." robin's song is about to come to an end.
you look at the mirror. a mirror that always reflected only you, now fits one more person in the frame. that is your answer.
the you who is listening, reading, watching, all your past versions converge into this quiet meeting. usually, the mirror rejected, criticised, and distorted. but today, it finally listens. the mirror holds your reflection to be true. before you got to penacony, before you stood in the middle of a road, before you became a truck driver, you were...
"speak to me. i'm here to listen as you have for others." and keep that key to his heart, for it remains open unconditionally, always a place for you in there.
two losts souls, under the moon, found a home in each other.
a person closes the novel they were reading. they pick up their phone and start typing:
â-4.2/5 rating, absolute horror. where was robin at the end? i was waiting for her! and whatâs with all the mirrors and life lessons? preeeeetty criiiinge. i'm reading a fantasy novel, not a lecture. why is mc even a truck driver anyways? also, not enough hand holding, and definitely not enough kissing. zero points!â this random nobody criticises, slamming fingers on the screen. they pause. âi wonder when the next volume will be releasedâŚâ

mmm blade & demon fucking perhaps?
fem!reader \ kinktober
imagine you - a weak, powerless human, requiring the services of a demon for some reason.
you find a summoning ritual from the sketchy magick (the lady specifically insists it's spelt with a 'k', and frankly you don't know the difference) shop down the street.
you're surprised (read: terrified) when it works, and even more so when he presses his claws against the force field and it holds.
"those cloves don't do anything," he rumbles, amber eyes aglow. you feel like you're about to piss yourself.
you tell the demon what you want. and he scoffs.
"you summoned me... for this? humans have such insignificant desires."
you bristle. it's not insignificant, you went to all the trouble of summoning him - but he's already moving on to tell you what he needs. an exchange of energy. the oldest, most carnal exchange of energy there is.
he bares his teeth. "sex."
you hesitate, and he chuckles, low and dangerous. "i can't hurt you, if you're worried about that."
so you agree to the contract. your energy in exchange for whatever it is that you want.
he coalesces into a form that's almost human - long, black hair, well-muscled, but skin laced with golden veins and the same molten, smouldering amber eyes.
he steps over the protective markings, and that's when it finally hits you that you've just signed a contract with a demon. you take a step back.
his eyes track you like a bird of prey, and in the low light, you could've sworn he wet his lips.
"wh-what should i call you?" you stammer out, trying to put on a brave front. he stalks towards you slowly, like a great cat, taking his time to take in your room around him.
"hmm." he picks up a trinket from your table, rolls it between his fingers. "blade will do."
"blade- ow." the back of your knees bump into the edge of your bed. you glance back, and when you look up again, blade is there, right in front of you.
"never turn your back on a demon." he relishes your yelp when his sharp nails catch on your skin, shoving you into the mattress and trapping you there.
"convenient you held the ritual in your bedroom." he buries his nose into the side of your neck - you smelled sweet and ripe, like all humans did, thrumming with life and energy that he thrived off of. "did you want to get fucked by a demon?"
"n-no," you protest, desperately trying to will away the goosebumps as blade ghosts his teeth over the vein under your jaw. "just take what you need and go away."
he makes an amused noise. "you taste like lies."
the demon's dick is similarly laced with golden veins - hot, heavy, and pulsing against your ribbed walls even without him moving. you can't hold back your shuddering moan as blade pushes in, not unkindly, your own nails gripping onto him so tightly they leave marks.
"so- big-" you gasp, back arching and walls fluttering desperately, trying to get used to him. "too big-"
he growls. the sound is so full of desire that it sends a jolt of arousal into your stomach, and you can feel yourself leaking around his cock.
"humans." he bares his teeth, and you think he might be mad if not for his twitching dick inside of you. "so small, so weak, so warm."
he thrusts into you with all the restraint of a supernatural creature, but it isn't enough to stop his tip from kissing your cervix or his curious golden veins from scraping against the softest parts of you.
you're a tearful, shaking mess before too long, cumming so hard around his cock you can see stars (or maybe it's just his amber eyes in the dark).
but he grins down into your face, all sharp teeth and mirthless joy. the more energy you give him, the more blessings he can give you - wouldn't you like a little more of the gifts he can bestow on you?

â¤. the moment you flop your head onto his lap, his slender thighs, he lets out a surprised huff and blinks down at you. needless to say, his curiosity is piqued, it's apparent by looking at his widened eyes.
when he finally figures out you're simply resting there, he shrugs it off and smiles. his little grin is tender, fond of your own far less dramatic antics. he needs someone every now and again to reign him in, doesn't he? you're the perfect person for that, he thinks. not that he'd be caught admitting that, though.
as he scrolls through his phone with one hand, his other hand finds itself absent-mindedly resting on you â whether it be on your head or back. his thumb idly rubs tiny, comforting circles against your skin. it's damn near enough to lull you to sleep.
dr ratio.
âŁď¸. veritas is quick to ask you what the hell you think you're doing, but he's not truly against the idea of you resting your head on his plush thighs. he was simply thrown off-guard. you do have your strange habits and behaviors, of course. he's great at predicting what you'll do next, but when his defensive walls are down, he's much easier to surprise.
before you can move off of his lap and apologize for upsetting him, he'll murmur a simple, "...stay." and that's enough for you to do exactly that â stay.
the cozier you get on his lap, the closer you get to drifting off into dreamland. when you do fall asleep as he reads one of his numerous books, he smiles. he's never been so implicitly trusted like this by someone before. and he couldn't ask for any other person to trust him so whole-heartedly.

her smiles often look empty or threatening, but this one was so different. and you can tell, in this moment, she's comfortable and content with you resting on her lap.
she's not quite certain why you trust her as much as you do, but she wouldn't trade your trust or your smiles for the world.
hanya.
âĽď¸. hanya, at worst, is difficult to handle â her severe depression and attachment issues can make life a struggle for you both. but you often remind her that you cherish and adore her with all of your heart. it's usually enough to bring her peace of mind and a pink tint to her cheeks.
...however, actions speak louder than words.
sure, you accidentally spook her sometimes with your random gestures of affection. but she's so quick to forgive you for each one. like now, as your head rests on her pillowy thighs. she forgave you for suddenly dropping your head onto her lap before either of you even said anything. you smile sheepishly at her, and she sweetly smiles back.
she never thought she'd enjoy this type of domesticity as much as she does right now. but, she supposes there's always something out there that can pleasantly surprise her every now and again.

Not ridiculous at all | James Potter

Pairing: James Potter x fem!Reader
Word Count: 3.5k
Summary: You are part of the marauders, always having felt special when they called you part of the gang, but also consequently too embarrassed to admit to wanting to be more feminine, afraid that they would no longer deem you cool enough to hang out with you. You are hurt by James' comments and James might realise something when you're avoiding him.
Notes: Best friend!James, he's a bit stupid, Lily is a sweet friend, arguments, so maybe a little angsty, but not really, classic cliche tropes like friends to lovers, misunderstandings, pining (I literally just dreamt this so it's a bit patchy) and I know it's very stereotypical but that's why it's just fanfiction :)
(PS) I haven't written before, just wanted to get this out of my system. English is my third language, and this fic is not proofread because I'm way too lazy for that! Enjoy!
Part two Masterlist
__________________
You've grown up with James Potter and have been part of the marauders since the very beginning. You always took 'being one of the guys' or 'part of the gang' as a compliment, it left you feeling giddy as if you were included in some secret group that only you had the privilege of belonging to.
But sometimes you would sit in the girls dormitory and despite your friends laughing and chatting about, you would feel a wave of loneliness wash over you. They often did activities together and by now, 6th year at Hogwarts, they've managed to stop asking you to join them as you've always dutifully replied that it 'wasn't your thing'.
I mean, what would the guys think of you? It would be too embarrassing to admit to them, or anyone for that matter, that you would love to be dolled up for once. To go shopping with your friends, be included in movie nights, asked by Alice if she could test some makeup on you, or read and gossip about the new romance novels that were the new hype.
Especially now when you sat on your bed, part of the circle in which they were discussing plans to go dress shopping.
"You should absolutely join us!" Alice squealed in delight. You were shaken out of your train of thoughts with a huh and realized the conversation had taken a turn somewhere and now included you too. Marlene and Lily nodded fervently in agreement but you bashfully shook your head.
"Nah, can you imagine me in a dress?" You joked, but Dorcas caught the curious and somewhat longing look in your eyes at the mention of getting ready for the Yule ball.
"I think you would look great actually. And besides, you can treat yourself too sometime you know. You're not obligated to stick with the marauders all the time." The girls in the dorm once again all agreed and you smiled at their kindness.
"Since when are you interested in things like the Yule ball?"
You snapped your head up at James to see his questioning eyes and then quickly averted your own in a flustered manner as if one of your greatest secrets had just been uncovered. "I just think it seems nice, that's all, I'm not even going or anything", you defended. You felt slightly embarrassed by James' face which wore a weirded out expression.
"Well you're not really the type to go to such an event anyway right?", James remarked. You did your best to hide your frown at his immediate agreement. Was it that bad that you'd hoped he would say something along the lines of 'what are you talking about, go enjoy yourself at the party' or something like that?
"Besides I can't imagine you in a dress, all made up, it'd just look so ridiculous." James continued. Remus, ever the sweet and attentive boy glanced at you and noticed your slightly sacked shoulders in disappointment at his words.
"I mean you're just not that type of person, you know? Like completely opposite of Lily."
And with that your face felt like it burned from embarrassment. As if you didn't already know. That didn't mean you didn't want to be more like her sometimes.
Peter's eyes flicked with concern from James to you and back.
You felt hurt and forced yourself to stop tears welling up at his words, mustering up a grin, ready to agree with him but were interrupted by Sirius who had now also caught your change in mood.
"Prongs, you really have no tact at all, how are you expecting to even win Evans over with that?" He said in a playful manner as to not offend their whipped friend, but not fully succeeding.
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" James looked slightly offended and Remus jumped in the conversation.
"That's just not a nice thing to say. It's different if you call me an ugly toad, but not Y/N! If she wants to go to the Yule Ball all dolled up, she definitely should." He shot you a supportive smile which you returned.
Peter nodded in agreement. "I don't think you'd look ridiculous at all," he told you sincerely. You subtly scooted a little closer to him and Remus.
"But it's Y/N, it'd just look weird, cause she's just not a proper girl like that, no offense." James shot back and gave you a smile at the last two words.
You saw Remus opening his mouth to retort but quickly intervened. "He's right." You told them. You just wanted this conversation to be over with already. It was awkward and painful for you as it was.
James didn't seem to get the memo, however, and kept on going, drilling your confidence further into the ground.
"See, she agrees." He turned to you. "It's not like you're ugly or anything but it'd be ridiculous. Like I said, you're not the type to be all beautiful and dressed up, hair done and all. I mean you're cool, but not pretty like that." He was clearly not done yet and started talking about Lily and her beauty at which point you abruptly got up and left.
"What's gotten into her?" James remarked with a frown.
Sirius and Remus didn't even bother to answer and just stared at him in disbelief.
The girls comforted you as you cried. Marlene barged in with ice cream, stolen from the kitchen in one hand and 5 spoons in the other. "What a jerk." She commented and thrust a spoon in your hand before plopping down in front of you with the rest of your friends.
Lily sighed frustratedly. "See this is why I don't like him at all. He's so rude and arrogant, and he-"
"- is right." You answered dejectedly. "I'm your friend, but not the type to join you guys and belong to your circle."
"Well that's only because you hang around the boys all the time," Alice argued. She nudged you. "But you know what, now that James is being a git, you can hang out with us!"
Dorcas gasped dramatically. "We could do a girls night! Treat ourselves a little", she jumped up. "I'll get the face masks and nail polish!"
Lily let go of you too and told you to sit up. "Come on, let me do your hair," she smiled.
With Marlene feeding you ice cream, your nails being polished by Alice, hair done by Lily and Dorcas reading the latest romance novel out loud while you were all wearing a facemask, you couldn't help but feel all warm inside.
"I love you guys."
"Don't talk with your mouth full."
You laughed and pushed Marlene teasingly off the bed.
"Hey, watch it! I just finished your right hand." Alice complained.
James was a moron. He was kind hearted (to most), popular, captain of the Quidditch team, good looking but a moron nonetheless. So he was absolutely clueless to find you missing from the common room yesterday evening and even more clueless when you were missing from your usual spot next to him at the Gryffindor table in the great hall, because he could not for the life of him think of a reason why you would sit with Alice and Frank instead.
He frowned and felt uneasy at the fact that you hadn't even looked at him, let alone come for a hug with your smile and said 'good morning' like usual. He shook the thoughts away. You were obviously allowed to have your own friends as well and not obligated to spend all your time with him.
The door of the great hall behind him opened and Lily Evans walked in, which was why instead of walking up to you to say something, he habitually turned to Lily instead.
"You look beautiful this morning as usual. I could put in the effort to match you when we go out together?" He shot her a wink and a coy smile but faltered slightly when his attempts at flirting got even less of a reaction out of her than usual.
James turned to Sirius with a questioning look, as if to ask 'you noticed that too right?' but Sirius simply shrugged. When James looked back at Frank and Alice, you were gone, having left the moment you felt his stare.
James started to ponder. 'Were you avoiding him? Surely you wouldn't, right? You two were friends after all, childhood friends. Childhood best friends even, for Merlin's sake! If you were upset with him, you'd definitely let him know.'
A week passed with you, sitting on the opposite sides of the classroom, seemingly having picked partners long before class because how else would you team up with random students before James could even blink?
He had now fully accepted that you were avoiding him. And with that, he meant 'accepting the possibility of that occurrence'. He was by no means going to accept your strange new behavior without doing anything.
The last drop though, was when he heard the news from Peter that you'd already left for Hogsmeade with the girls.
He frowned. 'You were kind', he reasoned. If you were upset with him, then he'd have to apologize. Quickly. Because it's been far too long without his best friend and he realized he missed you. Especially seeing you hang out with others.
"What did I do?" He finally asked his remaining friends.
"Really Prongs?" Remus couldn't help but ask. His friend just gave him a look that said 'well go on then, what is it'.
"How about you think about what you said last week, you know, those rude comments about the Yule ball."
"Yeah, but I already apologized yesterday and told her that I didn't mean to offend her!" James flailed his arms around when he exclaimed it.
"But she's still only hanging out with anyone but me," he whined. "Peter studied with her, Pads got a 'good morning' this morning and you're still talking to eachother.
Remus gave him an unimpressed look at his whining but James was not done complaining yet.
"She keeps spending all her time with the girls while she doesn't even seem to be fully enjoying herself"
This was true. You dearly missed James, so despite your newfound hobbies, a look of sadness sometimes fell over your face, which hadn't escaped James' attention.
"And I just don't understand why she would-" He started but never finished, something dawning on him. "Oh of course! Merlin, I'm so stupid!" He shouted out in epiphany.
"Your words not mine," Sirius quickly took the opportunity.
"Oh bugger off Pads", James laughed and pushed Sirius' arm. And with that, he took off to find you.
Sirius and Remus watched him leave and sighed at the same time. "Do you really think he got it?"
"I bloody hope so, Moony."
"But it's James."
"Yeah, but I mean it's not my fight but even I realize that she's sad that James made fun of the idea of her being more girly when she secretly wants to be. Now she's trying out what she likes, without having to stay within the role of 'one of the guys'. I mean, it's pretty straightforward. I guess a genuine apology and show of support is the solution."
"But it's James."
"Yep, you're right."
Though he hadn't been able to find you, he'd waited patiently for your return in the common room. Staring at the ceiling from his laid back position on the couch.
"Oh there you are, Y/N," He rushed to sit up to face you when you entered the room. If you were surprised by his presence, you didn't show it.
"We need to talk, I wanted to apologize." He breathed out, relieved at himself for having figured it out. "Also, I've missed you so much."
You felt a weight fall off your shoulders. You didn't want to be upset with him and felt incredibly relieved to hear him say that.
"I'm sorry for the things I said. I didn't mean for you to get offended or anything," James began.
"Yeah, you already said that." You frowned. "And I remember I told you that that was not a proper apology."
"I know, I know. It was shitty of me so I wanted to apologize. Properly you know? I'm really really sorry. I was a terrible friend and shouldn't have said the things I said. Please forgive me?" He proceeded to give you Bambi eyes in an attempt to convince you. It unsurprisingly worked.
You softly smiled up at him. "Okay". You barely got the word out before he pulled you into a bone-crushing hug.
"Great," he said, cutting through the comfortable silence that you two had been hugging in.
"Now you don't have to avoid me anymore, and you can stop sitting with the girls to prove your point, and join us again instead." He triumphantly continued.
What now?
You blanked. "I'm sorry?" You managed to ask.
"I get that I hurt you by saying your weren't a proper girl, but you don't have to pretend to prove your point by trying to be one." James stated, proud of himself that he figured it out.
"Because I can see that you don't like it, like your face gets all gloomy which is understandable because it isn't really your circle of people."
You stared at him, an incredulous look on your face.
"Fuck you James." You said, your voice coming out softer than you'd hoped. Tears were welling up again, but you couldn't help yourself.
"Has it ever occurred to you that maybe I do want that to be my circle of people? That I don't just want to be one of the guys all the time? Is it that crazy to think that I'm still a girl with feelings? That I want to feel pretty too? That I don't like being told by my supposed best friend that I'm basically ugly? That I hate to be compared to other girls like that?"
You were ranting and James had taken a step back, surprised by your outburst.
"No, that's not what I-", James tried to salvage the situation but you weren't having it.
"You've told me that stuff for as long as I can remember and I never told you otherwise because I was scared that you'd no longer want to hang out with me for not being a 'chill friend'. But you know what, I no longer want you to."
At this point, you angrily wiped your eyes to get rid of tears that were threatening to spill. "So fuck you". With that, you brushed past him, escaping upstairs to your room.
James Fleamont Potter felt absolutely miserable.
If anyone told James that you'd ever be more on his mind than Lily, he would call them ridiculous. But here he was, another week had passed and he was staring at your back as you were leaving with your friends for Hogsmeade again.
You weren't wearing your school uniform and robes anymore and James was surprised to see you wearing one of what he knew to be Lily's dresses.
'It suited you more than it suited Lily.' The unwarranted thought flashed through his mind and he shook his head with a scoff to himself. What was going on?
James also noticed that your hair was brushed and shining with a butterfly clip holding your hair in a bun. He wondered when you decided to change your hairstyle because he found that it framed your face perfectly.
'Not ridiculous at all,' he understood.
You looked absolutely perfect.
You turned your face a little and James could feel his head reeling. Have you always been this glowing? Was he just simply missing you? He didn't even realize that he hadn't spared Lily a glance- until Sirius mentioned her while they were having a drink - and a strange feeling washed over him at the thought.
You were running from Filch.
'Fuck I shouldn't have studied after hours, curfew was probably hours ago," you cursed to yourself and took a sharp right turn. You were trying to reach the secret passage right behind the big statue on the fourth floor when you saw the hallway light up because of Filches torch.
Forcing your legs to move faster, you were suddenly grabbed by the wrist. A hand was clasped over your mouth and you felt a heavy cloth fall over you.
You recognised the person pressed to your back immediately and tried not to melt in his embrace as Filch walked straight past the two of you, covered in the invisibility cloak.
You could feel his breath against your temple. His hand had dropped from your mouth, instead draping across your stomach now to rest on your side. The other held out in front of you to create space under the cloak. You shifted a little and finally turned your head and lifted it to look at him and thank him but you were unable to say anything for a moment.
You simply admired him.
The proximity of the two of you in that intimate embrace had something fluttering in your stomach and you harshly jerked away in denial when your feelings hit you.
Oh no.
Now, all suddenly? What changed? Does it really take one random moment to flip your world upside down?
You rushed to push the invisibility cloak out of your way and then left without sparing James another glance.
James couldn't force his legs to move to run after you, still reeling from about the exact same epiphany that you'd just run away from. Your gaze, his fast beating heart and the urge he had felt to lean down for a kiss had confirmed his conflicted feelings of the past few days since he'd seen you leave for Hogsmeade.
The following morning, you'd had the chance to properly process the happenings of last night.
Your conclusion was that you felt guilty that you hadn't even expressed your gratitude. It was rude, you figured. Even if you were overwhelmed by the sudden wave of realization that came crashing down on you, it was rude.
So you pushed your confused feelings aside and marched up to him when you found him in the great hall.
"Thanks, I owe you." You awkwardly said, stopping at his spot at the Gryffindor table. All while absolutely not having forgotten about the fact that the last time you had said something to him, you'd flipped him off and told him to go fuck himself.
James was absolutely beaming. "Yeah you do, but no worries, I'll cash it in right away." This was his chance. He would make up for his behavior and act on his feelings right now.
"How about a date?"
There was a long silence. Your heart plummeted to the ground. Right. James. Lily. Lily and James.
"What am I a magician?" You finally managed to sarcastically retort. "I'm a convincing person but not a miracle worker." You pulled your hand through your hair as you looked around the great hall to see if you could spot Lily.
"Alright, I'll see what I can do." You forced a smile.
James, who had been mostly confused at your words, disregarded it completely in delight at your acceptance to go out with him, even if it seemed somewhat reluctant. Not that it would matter because he was going to prove what an amazing boyfriend he could be. If you'd accept him, of course.
He was grinning from ear to ear, which you mistook as excitement at the prospect of a potential date with Lily. So when you abruptly turned on your heels and marched over to Lily, James watched you confusedly.
And when he heard you try to talk Lily into going out with him, he wanted to crawl in a ditch and die. He stood there, frozen and recounting how you could've interpreted that wrongly.
You returned to him after a while with an apologetic smile. "Yeah sorry Prongs, she-"
"You", he blurted out.
You raised your eyebrows. "Me?" You repeated back.
"The date, I meant you. A-and me of course. Us, like you and me on a date. Together. I thought maybe Hogsmeade?" He managed to force the words out nervously.
There was a long silence and James' shoulders slumped a little. Even more when you finally answered.
"Uh, no?" You said in a questioning manner. James officially wanted to die now.
"You're sweet James, and I don't think you do it on purpose but you're not interested in me like that." You began, trying to convince not only James, but yourself as well.
James opened his mouth to argue but you quickly interrupted him before he could properly do so.
"James, you really don't. And you asking me out on a date when you've quite literally been drooling over Lily just last week as you have been doing for the past 5 years, that's not very nice to me." You frowned.
"Oh." He whispered. He was once again at a lack of words for a moment. Terrible new habit, he thought. This was not how he thought it would go.
"I'd still gladly go with you to Hogsmeade though?" You offered. "Just you know, not as an easy second choice date while you are obviously head over heels with her."
'I'm not', he wanted to tell you, but it was obvious that you wouldn't believe him. "Yeah okay," he weakly smiled. "Just the two of us though."
You nodded and stepped forward, wrapped your arms around him and he leaned into you, returning the hug.
With his face pressed in your hair, eyes closed, he decided that this situation wasn't too bad. He's fought for Lily's affection for years. He'd fight harder for yours.

Haven't written about Viktor in a hot minute, no clue if anyone missed him but you're getting crumbs regardless of your feelings.
P.S. I'm editing this later after it was posted. I was very tired when I wrote this.
yandere mortician masterlist.

Every single evening, Viktor could find you sitting alone in a coffee shop.
It was standard procedure for him by this point, so much so that it even became a part of his schedule. He would always finish his work early and skip off to find you, always lurking in the comfort of darkness.
He was unsure on how to feel about seeing you like this. Like clockwork, Viktor would watch you scour your city for a new place to huddle up in for a few hours, always alone. Viktor always found this odd as he knew that you had some good friends, friends who you love and adore.
Why did you never bring them with you, he would often ponder.
Without skipping a beat, his heart never failed to swell with the tiniest hint of joy in catching you alone like this, even if Viktor knew all too well that he was no better than a phantom to you. It felt intimate somehow, watching you in your element like this. Sometimes you would bring a book with you and spend the time reading. Viktor was always curious which novels you liked, always quickly looking them up and finding out everything he possibly could about them. If he had the time, he would even go through some of those books if he could find them as he wished to learn more about your preferences.
Hours would pass, people would come and go. Viktor would sometimes tune back into the world around him and see how the rest of the world was doing. It was so fascinating to listen in to some of those conversations. People had plans, great plans and most of them would just go down the drain.
He never was much of an optimist. He was used to being compared to a stormy cloud of pessimism, but he never saw himself in such a light. Viktor always thought of himself as more of a realist if he was being frank. All those big dreams would stay just that - dreams. That was how things usually went for most normal people. Not even the most exceptional human beings on the planet could escape the dull ache of normalcy, the cold realization that you really were just one person in this world. If you were to die, the world would continue to spin, seasons would change and life would go on.
Sipping on his hot drink, Viktor laughed bitterly to himself. Life could be so cruel sometimes. The stench of the chemicals he was working with earlier clung onto him tight, causing some people to wonder what was so off about him. Viktor would try to clean himself from top to bottom, but it was all to no avail.
That was simply how his world functioned. Death and decay were nothing to him, all in the day's work. Although, his world was not so bleak, he supposed.
He had you now.
Every single person around him was trapped in their own little bubble, completely unaware of anything. He was no different, he supposed. His bubble consisted of his piping hot coffee, chill November air, the blinding lights and his favorite person in the whole world.
This was enough for him, for now.

DAY 66 of Love Is... On Tour

They make songs. Together.
After a show at Wells Fargo Center, Yoongi stayed locked in his hotel room to work on the music for your EP. He has read the lyrics you sent to him and listened to some melody ideas you recorded in your voice notes. In the last two days you two have been collaborating, you are full of visions and excited to tell him all of them. He finds it more surprising that you two haven't had any fights since then.
Is it New Years yet? I'm getting bored, so can we skip ahead? I just wanna forget That I'm at home with nobody to hold
So far, you already recorded two out of the six songs you planned to release in the EP. Usually, Yoongi takes his time in making and editing songs. But considering that this is a holiday EP and you have less than a week before the management's deadline, he works on it at every chance he gets. It's not that hard when you already have a clear vision of what and how you want the extended play to be.
Working is a great distraction compared to scrolling on his phone, which did no good for him. Mainly because he recently saw a post from a mutual friend of his and his ex. That's when he learned that Sara threw a baby shower in what was supposedly their house. He felt something cracked in him when he saw how far along her pregnancy was.
Tempted, Yoongi scrolled through the carousel of photos, admiring the decorations and colors of the house Sara probably picked herself, things that Yoongi had never seen personally. A single photo made Yoongi pause.
It shows Sara and her then-ex-boyfriend holding her growing bump, also showcasing a ring on her fingerâ not the emerald-cut diamond one he proposed to her. A new one, signaling that she is engaged for a second time this year. That photo was enough for Yoongi to turn it off and focus on his music.
Ding-dong.
Yoongi's head snapped, irritated when the unexpected doorbell noise filled his room. Frowning, he gets up from his chair to check who the person might be.
It's you.
Looking like a curious puppy, you stood before Yoongi's door with two cups of warm drinks you asked Cal to buy on the way back to the hotel. Yoongi looked at you through the small peephole, taking notice of your large, thick white cable knit sweater that falls just a few inches above your knees and the mystery cups you're holding. He opened the door when you began rolling your eyes and tapping your foot.
"What took you so long?!" you instantly asked the moment you saw him, handing him the other cup.
He snickered, ignoring your attitude. He takes the cup before pushing the door wider to let you in. Yoongi followed behind you when you walked inside. He sits back on his chair, in front of his small set-up, while you sit at the edge of his bed. Usually, you will take the couch. But the bed is nearer his working setup.
This is how you two have worked since you started. You only get up when you want to see his screen or when recording something.
"What are you doing here?" he asked since you just finished your show earlier. He figured you might prefer to rest and just work early tomorrow.
"I have an EP to work on, duh!" you replied, taking a sip from your hot chocolate as you tapped on your phone. "Anyway, lemme show you something..."
Probably a new idea. Yoongi thought. He knew it from the moment he saw you opened your phone's notes app.
"Here." You handed him your phone, letting him read something you wrote earlier today.
Maybe he met you somewhere in the desert While he was soul searching, he found someone better Guess you make him happy like I couldn't do Cindy Lou Who
Yoongi reads down the words, "It's a sad song?"
"Yep," you nodded. "Have you heard the song, What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas?"
Yoongi was quick to shake his head. He is not really fond of Christmas songs and doesn't listen to them if not needed. But he could tell by the title that it's probably a sad song too.
You pulled up your legs on his bed, making yourself comfortable, "It's a great song from the 70s. It has a lot of covers too. It's a sad Christmas song and I am so into it that I thought of writing one too."
Yoongi nods, listening, as he scans the rest of your lyrics, "Hmm..."
"What?" you quickly responded to his humming.
With how his eyes squint and his lips form a thin line, you know that he has something to say about your work. You learned after your first night of working together, making you realize that he has the same habit when you rehearse for a show.
"It's great, but I feel like we should just change some irrelevant lines? Like, maybe he met you somewhere in the desert." he read one of the lines. "What does desert get to do with Christmas?"
When he was met with a long silence, Yoongi looked up to you. But he find you just looking at him, chewing on your bottom lip. You looked away before letting out a heavy sigh.
"I found out my ex was cheating on me when paparazzi caught pictures of him and that actress kissing in Coachella." you explained.
"Oh..."
An apologetic look was instantly written all over his face, which is something you haven't expected. You thought he would keep the blank expression he always has. But his eyes and slightly gaped mouth said otherwise. You hate pity or anything like that, especially when it comes from someone who once read you too well. So, you grinned, even though it was forced so much that it almost made your cheeks hurt.
"Want to see the pictures? It's literally everywhere." you joked to change the mood. His eyes widened like he thought you were serious. So you chuckled, "I'm kidding! I won't show you that myself. You can just search it up if you want to."
"I'm not interested. No one really enjoys seeing a picture of their ex," he mumbled, returning your phone to you.
Your eyebrows crooked together when you heard that. He sounded too serious like he was the one in your shoes. You watch him sulk back to his seat, turning his back to work on one of your songs.
"You're acting like you were the one who got cheated on here. You're literally engaged to someone." you quipped.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."
He whispered mindlessly. Yoongi didn't really think about it and let it slip out of his tongue. He doesn't really like bringing up his personal dramas in his workplace. He never would have realized what he said if you didn't ask him,
"What do you mean by that?"
Yoongi turned around, meeting your eyes, "So, how do you like that song to turn out?"
You're not dumb. Of course, you noticed him dodging your curiosities. He has never shared anything about himself since you two worked together. It's not like I care, you thought. But you know that there is a small itch at the back of your head, trying to get him to talk more. And maybe you know a trick to satisfy that itch.
"Let's order some wine first."

"With your hair so long, lips so bedâ wait, that's wrong!"
A bottle of red wine is carelessly placed on the perfectly white duvet of Yoongi's bed. Surprisingly, it is still safe from any stain. The nearly finished cup of now-cold chocolate drink you brought is on the nightstand. You were giggling in front of the microphone and pop filter after making another mistake.
"The words are scrambled." you continued giggling before drinking from the glass of wine you were holding.
It has been almost two hours since you got in his room and Yoongi knows that the effect of your wine is getting into you. Earlier, before you could finish your first glass, you two already agreed on the instrumentals of the song you called cindy lou who. You let Yoongi make some changes in your lyrics, but it's nothing major.
"Something that feels delicate and maybe some piano." You described your idea before humming the tune you were thinking of.
By the second glass of wine, you are recording a rough draft of the song. So that you know if your ideas work well. Yoongi suggested to layer your vocals in some parts while you thought of adding a subtle harmony. Surprisingly, you two worked smoothly.
"Should we add some harp? Theo would have liked that."
You were almost done with your third glass of wine when Yoongi heard you mention your ex's name for the first time.
"Maybe we should stop drinking..." he said.
Even though he's in his fourth glass as well, Yoongi is doing better than you. You looked at him while he clicked something on his setup. You wondered if he could feel the cozy, warm feeling you've been feeling from the wine. Because that plain expression cannot really tell you anything, which makes you feel a little frustrated with how you're the only one who seemed to be a little giggly.
"Fine." you rolled your eyes, letting him take your glass from you.
He got up to get something in his room's mini fridge before going back to you, "Water?"
"It's cold," you replied before you could even touch the bottle.
"Okay, diva."
Your eyebrows raised with that, "No! I mean I cannot drink cold water when I'm singing or recording. It's not good for my throat... I'm fine, anyway. Thanks."
"I thought it would help you sober up," he explained, leaning to his chair.
"I'm sober!" you exclaimed defensively. Just a little fuzzy. But you won't admit that to him.
His lips formed into a smug smile, like he was saying, yeah sure. You puffed before fixing your headphones and crossing your arms over your chest. You looked annoyed. Yoongi knows because your nostrils are flared while there's a small pout on your lips. He bites off his inner cheek to stop himself from smiling.
"Should we record again?" he asked.
Still a little annoyed, you didn't say anything and just nodded your head. The instrumental began playing in your headphones seconds later.

âTis the season to be jolly But how can I be when I have nobody
The same song plays on your phone while you tap your fingertips in tune with the sleighbells playing in its instrumental. After finishing recording the song, you stay to see how it will turn out. Yoongi didn't seem to mind even though it was already past midnight.
"Do you want to hear the song I mentioned?" you asked him while he worked on the song.
Busy, he answered with a short sure. So, you played the song in a non-distracting volume, reached for the glass of wine you abandoned, and sat on his bed. You were quiet, sometimes humming to the song, but mostly staring at the view outside.
A silent night I know it's gonna be Joy to the world But it's gonna be sad for me
As the snow falls outside, you think of how this is so not how you expected your December is gonna be this year. With Noah being your original bassist, you thought you two would get to enjoy the snow in various cities you're touring in. And maybe even spend Christmas together during your break. But instead, you are now in your new bassist's, with whom you have dumb fights most of the time, hotel room, making holiday songs.
How surprising is that? You thought to yourself before taking one gulf of your wine.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when Yoongi slightly groaned as he stretched his limbs from his chair. You paused the song and collected the wine bottle and your glass like you were ready to go.
"Are you kicking me out yet?" you asked.
He turned around, just to you about to get up from the bed, "What?"
"Maybe my presence distracts you." you joked, which sounds nicer than maybe you don't want me here in your room anymore because you don't like having me here.
He chuckled, a little tired, "No, it's okay. I know you're waiting for the finished version."
"Good. Because I really like your room. You have a great view of the city. The snow looks perfect here." you rambled.
Yoongi looked outside, seeing the wonderful view you were talking about. He wordlessly agrees before getting back to his screen. Watching him, you mumbled.
"If you're tired, we can just finish that tomorrow."
Just like you, the guy also performed hours ago. You two don't along at most times, but you are not that petty to make him overwork.
"No, I'm fine," he shakes his head. "I'll finish this in an hour, just wait there."
"Okay," you put down the bottle on the nightstand.
Yoongi heard the music play again while he edited the song. Eager to finish it tonight, he continued working for what seemed like a few minutes for him. He made sure to add your suggestions and put some elements he thinks would be perfect. After listening to his finished product through his headphones one more time, Yoongi put on a satisfied smile.
"And it's doâ"
Yoongi's smile fell when he found you asleep on his bed with the empty wine glass in your hand. It was already 1:24 AM, and he looked at the time. Seeing how peaceful you are in your sleep, he would hate waking you up. Instead, Yoongi got up cleaned up his nightstand, and carefully took your glass. He tried not to chuckle loudly when he heard your small snores. After gently putting the duvet on you, Yoongi took one of the pillows and threw it on the couch that he would take over tonight. He knows it would be awkward to take up the big, empty space next to you.
Dimming down the lights, Yoongi tried to find a comfortable position on the couch. And when he did, he finally closed his eyes and let himself fall asleep.

If it weren't for the buzzing noise next to you, you would have seen where your celebrity crush ended up taking you for a date in your dreams. Groaning, you reached for your phone beside you. Seeing Cal calling, you begrudgingly answered the call.
"Hey, Cal." your voice sounded weak as you just woke up.
"Where the hell are you, YN?! I've been ringing your room. You have a virtual interview at 9."
Your eyebrows furrowed while slowly sitting up, "What do you mean? I'm in my roomâ Oh, no. Fuck."
The first thing you see when you sit up is Yoongi's compact studio setup, which you don't remember being in your room. You looked around and it just confirmed that you are not in your hotel room. Yoongi is nowhere to be found, you don't hear any noise from the bathroom either.
"Y/N?" Cal spoke again, worried by your sudden pause.
"I-I'm in Yoongi's room." you stuttered, trying to remember your last memory. You were relieved to find yourself still in the same clothes you went with last night.
You heard a gasp from the other line, "Oh my god, YN! Did you hookedâ"
"No, no, no! Still in my clothes. Just fell asleep making songs." you babbled, cutting her suspicions off. "Where the fuck is that sock?!"
Is it a talent to lose a fucking sock while asleep? Because if it is, you just added a new title under your name. You were in a hurry, shuffling the bed for that one sock with heart patterns. Cal can only imagine what you look like right now.
"Here!" you exclaimed, immediately putting it on. You rushed to the door after. "I'm going there rightâ Yoongi!"
Yoongi was right before you. He shared the same shock as you except he was calmer with his eyebrows raised and eyes widened.
"I have to go for an interview. Cal's gonna rip my head off. I'll check the song later. Thank you for letting me stay!"
You were so in a hurry that you were literally spewing words and didn't realize that you leaned to give a quick kiss on his cheek. It registered as you were moving back, making you two stop for a moment, looking at each other in surprise. He gulped, feeling his throat running dry. while you feel every blood run to your cheeks now, feeling warm.
You blinked, "I-I'm gonna go."
Yoongi watched you run to the elevator before looking at the two cups of coffee he was holding.
