I totally ADORE those Olaf fanarts, and you putting the idea of Ron Perlman as Olaf in my head is just RUDE and I'll never forgive you! He would be such an offbeat choice, and I love Ron so much. Those are great interpretations of the character, and I'm looking forward to learning more about the Count. I just started The Wide Window. :)

I just think that adapting Olaf’s appearance like this rough, actually well built and sort of Boris Karloffy lookin’, like the kinda tempty sliver fox (and let’s be honest Tim totally plays Olaf like that in the audiobooks anyway, like he knows he can be suave but he’s gotta be really gruff about it?)  type we see in those illustrations Anna made would be a much needed and far more progressive way to update the source material rather then all this sticking to the look of Brett Helquist’s original (anti semitic) designs for Olaf that we keep seeing right now, since the series doesn’t exactly lend itself well to diversity as far as having characters of color I don’t think…   ^ ^;   So like, the least we can do because of that, is like, spoiler alert but in series where the moral is basically that everyone is human …. It would be nice the main villain….looked like an actual human being that could exist instead of a racist caricature drawn by somebody who doesn’t know what they’re doing?! ^ ^; Like why does Lemon Snockers, a man who actually looks like THIS: 

Get to sound like Jude Law AND TIM CURRY and look like this:

While all his interpretations of Olaf get to make bird noises and look like THIS:  

And even worse, THIS:

(I mean i think that fake noise is bigger than the other one i dunno why people are okay with this)

I, personally, would prefer the reverse with THIS MAN:

(Yes, I do want L/E/M/O/N/ S/N/O/C/K/E/R/S to be played by Gene from B/o/B/S/B/U/R/G,  bonus points is that both of these actors are ACTUALLY JEWISH)

And, as I said before, no more fake noises….

No more nasty powdered wigs ether I mean, I’m just sitting here imagining the wedding scene, with Ron’s Olaf just… adorned in this swanky cape jacket thing Anna would probably design with eyes embroidered on the inside, and like a top hat with embroidery to match and gloves and tie and a wicked cane that he probably borrowed from somebody in book four ….;) looking like an ACTUAL SILENT MOVIE VILIAN (cause the current show has some kinda fetish for that but they’re doin’ it wrong idk…) ready tie to his bride to the railroad tracks if need be and it’s just …. UNF. SO SAUVE! ♥

I actually thought of a really good meta running joke that would kinda stick it to Dan an’ Brett since … I don’t particularly care for them as people …. But you know like, Guillermo Del Toro is making a movie for ‘Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark’:

And you know, how Brett, the Illustrator for Dan, did the drawings for the watered down reprint of it that tried to replace the original and ruin it ? ;)

You know the “just can’t get my noise right” joke in Tangled or “I always hated those comics” joke in Hellboy?

You know how everything in the story happens in real time and is being realized to the public? ;)

You know how Dan has that whole “these books should be destroyed cause they’re AWFUL” thing?

WELL, what if the story was actually happening like current events instead of happening so long ago and one horrible thing was happening right after another book got published by snockers so, like what if Ron’s Olaf, looking like this: http://annaspath.deviantart.com/art/Matrimonio-646930961

And proceeded to get rightfully angry and destroy the antisemitic stereotype of himself presented to him, like he reads the blurb on the back like “these books are trash so you shouldn’t read them and they should be trashed :(” and he’s just like “WITH PLEASURE! >;D”  

AND HE JUST LIKE. TEARS THE BOOK HE’S HOLDING IN HIS HANDS APART, THROWS IT ON THE GROUND, STOMPS ON IT, LIGHTS IT ON FIRE, WATCHES IT BURN, AND WHEN IT’S DONE BURNING HE SPITS ON THE ASHES AND WHEN HE’S DONE WITH THAT HE JUST SMILES WICKEDLY AND WHISPERS “I like Gammell better!” before turning his back and walking away like nothing happened like a badass.

And he’s tries to do that every time a new book comes out and his associates get in on it too because they don’t like the way they’re being depicted and he’s tries to get the kids in on it to because “aren’t you angry that this weirdo who was obsessed with your mother is stalking us and documenting our lives for profit ether i mean i may be trying to steal your fortune but i’m still acting in loco parentis SOMETIMES and as  your V.ery (concerned) F.ather D.ad  W.hat T.he F.uck?” and sometimes it works and it’s hilarious and it’s the best meta about reverse psychology baiting and better than any movies vs. TV jokes that Mr. Hairless will ever make (still bitter).

And of course, Olaf knows that Mr. Snockers is only instructing him to be depicted that way in his sketches because he’s still bitter about SOMETHING but that’s a spoiler! ;D ♥

We, should definitely keep talking and discussing what we think, I’m so glad I got my Evil little idea into your head!! ;D ♥ Heeheehee!!! ;D ❤
