Dadwolf Player Origins Predictions
I'm not aiming to be right in any of these predictions, but the multiple (playable!!!) origins were such a charm point for Origins. It was left out of DA2 and barely squeezed in for Inquisition, so here's hoping
Cut for length
Altus: Human / Mage Since we're going somewhere the mages aren't universally oppressed, we ought to see it from the highest social perspective available.
Soporati: Human / Warrior + Rogue A human commoner at last! My primary choice for a non-mage human to contrast with the Altus mage.
Orlesian Noble: Human / Warrior + Rogue Also contrasts with an Altus Origin but in a slightly different way. Plus, it brings in a PC from the previous game's setting as has been tradition for the previous games.
Avvar: Human / Any Class Another fun potential human background from the south that we haven't had a chance to play yet. They have such a fun perspective to bring into events. This is the one i personally want most, and they could actually have enough rp appeal to make me actually play a human of my own will (sorry Hawke).
Dalish: Elf / Any Class Of course, as the Dalish are primarily nomadic, it also wouldn't be too hard to bring in a new clan from the south. It could be especially interesting to see someone from a clan that spends a large amount of their time in the Dales. I never read The Masked Empire, but I've heard there was at the time a large clan near Halamshiral. Especially being so near Felassan, that would bring an extra level to their already-tense relationship with Solas and the Fen'Harel plot.
City Elf: Elf / Any Class In keeping with how each game's PC comes from the previous game's setting, they could be one of/a child of one of the elves abducted during Unrest in the Alienage during Origins. Valora could be present in their origin. Are we ever going to acknowledge Valora again, BioWare?
Kal-Sharok Dwarf: Dwarf / Warrior + Rogue We should be a lot nearer Kal-Sharok, and i want to know what their deal is exactly. They sounds exciting. Surfacer dwarves would also be cool and could actually be from the south, but we just did that.
Warrior Caste: Dwarf / Warrior + Rogue Alternatively. We've already done the highest and lowest of Orzammar society. Let's see what's up the the middle dude now and also exile them while we're here. Gotta move the plot along somehow.
Tal-Vashoth: Qunari / Any Class Conflicts with the Qunari (political and religious group) are ramping back up. I don't think they'd take away the option to play a Qunari (racial group) after granting it in Inquisition no matter what happened in DA2 character creation, and i think it's going to be much more feasible to squeeze them in if they're Tal-Vashoth.
Warden: Human + Elf + Dwarf / Any Class Would be more of a Warden-Recruit than a full Warden, but maybe the playable origin finishes with your Joining. We should already have a Warden companion (Davrin), but this would give the player a personal investment in whatever's going on in Weisshaupt. Not a likely option since Wardens are supposed to be so much more competent than the average fighter, but a fun possibility.

Yes. Exactly. ✨🤭
I apologize to my followers, this is getting long but oh well......
~~✨⚔️✨~~✨⚔️✨~~✨⚔️✨~~✨⚔️✨~~
Obviously the entire story would be vastly different depending on the child Inquisitor's race and class.
I think both dwarves and qunari would probably be very quickly dismissed in the beginning. Because starting out as the Herald of Andraste there's really no way the Chantry would look at those two and see something holy? It's just a child, right? Especially dwarves are so easily put to the side. A qunari child would get some attention.... but probably not the positive sort.
Gameplay wise I'd say.... you start out with minus Inquisition/research points. Simply because it's harder to gain allies with those kids as your Inq? I think as an adult you can still reason that they're a strong fighter, but with your player being a child..... well they're just a child.
Trevelyan and Lavellan children though? They'd get so exploited by the Chantry. 100000%
In my personal au Lavellan even gets stalked with attempts of kidnapping because she is viewed as the Child of the Maker.
She certainly isn't - she knows her parents after all. In my au the Clan Lavellan doesn't do the whole nuclear family thing, it's much more a "yes, those two created you but everyone raises all the kids as the same time" situation.
If they're a Trevelyan you might have to make them an orphan? Because as far as I remember the Trev family is a pretty known one? And surely an adult/parent would come to supervise the Inquisitor. Right?
And then don't get me started on the whole Templars vs Mages thing. I'd actually go so far an propose that you cannot choose a fraction anymore depending on your character creation.
If you're a qunari or dwarf you can still choose which one you'd like to support because you're so easily dismissed in the beginning.
If you are a human or elf though, the Temp vs Mag outcome entirely depends on your class, because your ability to cast magic would be 100% seen as a sign from the Maker.
"Look the Maker sends us a mage child! He must want us to free the mages! It's a sign!!"
"Look the Maker sends us a warrior! He must want us to support the templars!"
(I'm not entirely sure about the reaction to the rogue class, because they don't really have magic, but they're also not exactly looking like a templar protege? Maybe human rogue = templars and elf rogue = mages?)
This is all very much based on the idea that because you are a child you cannot possibly make your own decisions. So the situation might look very different for a teen Inquisitor.

(to be continued - I accidentally pressed post to early)
I had this playthrough where I imagined my Inquisitor as a child. She was this petite, scared, 10 year old elven mage girl, who was sent to the conclave in hopes that her (an innocent child) being there would manipulate the Divine to favor the (Dalish) apostates. (She didn't know this, of course, she was simply told no one else of Clan Lavellan could attend, because of their duties.)
She's absolutely terrified throughout most of the game, but the members of the Inquisition become her family. Which makes it so much worse when Solas eventually betrays her, because to Lavellan he was something between an older brother and a father figure.
So now, in Veilguard, she's a young adult when she faces Solas once more...
