The thing about my kippah journey is that I both forget I'm wearing it and that people can perceive me the way I perceive them, and I had a really funny interaction when I was getting a snack and energy drink to treat myself

Worker, talking to their coworker as I passed them both: is that a RAINBOW yarmulke?!

The same worker when I was paying for my stuff: where did you get that yarmulke??

*they proceed to talk about how they always accidentally crochet kippot when they're trying to make doilies (I mentioned my kippah is crochet)*
