INSANE that i am starting to get to a point where i can look at un-minified js n start to piece together how it works w/o author comments. it's like i've learned to read a baby book or something
#花話#i am trying to piece together how some of my favorite ao3 userscripts work but so many of them use jquery...#last night i got sick of some of the bugs in the floaty review box script i modified for mobile#so i edited it on my phone in tampermonkey's shitty little code editor. at 1am.#my understanding of jquery is like. 'yeah it'll make a lot of html manipulation functions a lot more straightforward' but the library itsel#is big as hell n so i tend to shy away from it n go for vanilla js...#but when i was following a couple jquery tutorials n then later worked w/vanilla js a lot more looking back i like#started to piece together how jquery would work in just regular js so i forgot where this sentence is going
