ok last salty post and then I'm going to make a nice post:

I'm both a bit disappointed and completely unsurprised at how quickly everyone's jumping to call Vernestra a bitch, twat, 'wicked witch of the west', etc etc

'we need more complicated female characters' maybe if you want more complicated female characters, we don't jump immediately to gendered insults when we disagree with a character's choices and they clash with the fan fave brooding male character. just like maybe, for once, maybe not?

#yeah i really wish they had just invented a character #so i didn't have to see this about my girl TT.TT #it's like 'wow are you surprised about star wars fans being misogynistic' yes and no #no in general but also yeah kind because it's coming from sectors i naively didn't think would jump to that so fast #discourse ban violation #also am slightly surprised at how many people didn’t like her calling Elzar out #like…she’s right and he was unfair to JUST lay that all on Avar who conveniently left #he should have told someone else and it was fair of her to call him out on that #but oh no grieving teenage girl is slightly mean to adult man who murdered someone #‘we want more complicated female characters’ you can’t even handle Vernestra
