i be going through my day and then remember i had an undiagnosed stomach issue that went away after two weeks last year and sit there and wonder what the fuck it was

Do you guys get that feeling like “I shouldn’t have said that, it was rude” but at the same time you get like “Screw this”?

My grandma is recovering from a surgery and she came back from the hospital with a pressure ulcer, that we’ve been trying to get under control and stuff. She can’t move her legs properly yet, so she’s usually laid down and this makes it difficult to get the wound to heal.

Okay.

This week, it got infected and I handled it the best way we could with the things we had here. Now, the wound got better but I still think we should treat it with another thing, that we’d need a prescription for. 

Okay pt.2

The hospital sends health professionals to check on her once a week and I was telling the nurse about the infection and what I did, so she could have an idea of what was going on.

And I said: “Her wound got infected, but I’m using xxx nanana”

And the other lady, with the most condescending tone ever, interrupted me like twice, and I kept trying to explain about the infection, and then she went off to cut me off for the third time like “And how do you know it’s an infection lol? Google?” [Of course she didn’t say ‘lol’ but you get the point]

And I could have handled it better, I guess, but it really upset me cuz she kept interrupting me and she gave me that look that said “oh patients think they know so much when they know nothing” And I just shoot her a glare and fired a “I’m about to graduate in pharmacy and I had microbiology just like you” (I don’t even think they do it, cuz this one wasn’t the nurse but anyway) with such a cold tone to cut her off

And I’m beating myself up to it up to now and it’s been... I don’t know, 12H? SUHAHUSAUHASUHUSA But at the same time, what the hell was I supposed to say?

Either way, they didn’t listen to me and said “It doesn’t look like an infection”

The bloody thing got green before and there was clearly necrotic tissue, dude. And there isn’t anymore. Cuz I’ve been treating it. Not because I’m dumb. For lord’s sake. I can tell when a wound is infected if they’re fucking green.

Anyway, I’ll keep doing my stuff and I’ll try to not be so disappointed on me lol
