I don't normally give any writing advice, but now, yay! I do have some..
Do not decide you want to switch from past to present tense when you're already 30k deep into writing a long fic..
It is excessively painful to edit out..
Whatever you do will never seem quite right, but no way am I switching this fucker back again, no matter how great the self doubt becomes..
Highly unlikely you will ever finish writing anything ever again..
#not sure if anyone else would be dumb enough to do this.. but oh well there it is..#kinda ended up in a weird tense limbo where neither are quite right..#plus side.. I have kinda gotten over the idea of ever looking like a proficient writer of past tense..#minus side.. the flow of time.. sketchy at best..#so good job I'm writing a story where the vagaries of time are a main focus of the plot..#but actually since this is for a Viren/Corvus fic no loss to the world if it remains stuck forever in editing hell I guess..
